Some photos of my kids that I took at Christmas time I thought I would share. All fall I wanted to take some cool photos of them and then 2 weeks before Christmas we took these inside. The cards were really cool!

Hi! Wow...it's been a while since I posted! Where does the time go? Another wonderful year 2009 was. The most amazing weddings...love my brides and grooms! It is so much fun capturing their day! Getting those moments on a wedding day is just magical! Thank you to all of you that had me as your photographer! I loved every one!!! My neice's wedding was a highlight as it is so much fun being with family!!!

Portraits are a blast too! I love photographing babies, kids and families!!! It is such a joy to take the moments and create beautiful images for my clients to have forever! Love it!!!!

Well, please keep posted and I will blog every week. Something new, share some personal work and keep those images coming to you for maybe inspiration, enjoyment, remembering that all those that we love just grow up too fast and photographs are the one thing we can hold on to just a little bit longer. I am a lucky Aunt to 15 nieces and nephews on my husband's side. He is the baby of 8! His parents are amazing! His mom is the most organized women I know. She has 17 grandchildren and will call every day if one of us, or my kids or even if my dog isn't well to see how we are doing...amazing!

These photos are of Chelsey, which is one of my beautiful, smart and sweet nieces! She is graduating this year so, I wanted to take some photos of her for marketing to seniors. They should all get photo sessions taken at this important time of their lives. Chelsey is running for Miss Teen Canada and needed some photos taken. So here they are of Chelsey Prosser.

Here we go! Previewing my first niece to get married!!!! I am sooooo excited because she is the first of 15 nieces and nephews on my husband's side ( The Prosser's) to get married!!! I LOVE weddings, of course and nothing is better than shooting someone you know and love!!! We started off at their place. A cool old mansion in T.O.! We went for a stroll down their street with beautiful homes. Then just around the corner is Avenue Rd. with of course cool spots! We stopped for some pictures and lunch at a pub where they had dinner the night Nate proposed. Afterwards we decided to ditch downtown and take a drive over to the Don Valley Brickworks. What a cool spot! I loved all the different coloured backgrounds. So, here they are...my niece Jennifer ( we are only 5 years apart, since it's my husband's oldest brother's eldest) and hubby to be, Nate. Again, I can't wait until their wedding...so much fun!!!! As you can see they have a lot of fun together and will be great fun on their wedding day in June!!!

It's soooo nice out today and here I am showing some wintery e-session photos!!! Now, I think we can appreciate these photos more as that cold winter is over! BUT Jennifer and James wedding is coming up and these are their engagement photos we did on a very cold (-20) day!!! They are so beautiful though, keeping each other warm and embracing the moment!!! They are such a sweet couple and I can not wait until their wedding in July!!!

Christine and Darren got married! Christine came to me and wanted beautiful wedding images. She loved my photos and wanted beautiful photography for her wedding. Her wedding day was unique as they had already been married a few weeks before at a private, intimate ceremony. This day, January 31, 2009 was their reception, celebration with family and friends. So, I went over to where she got ready and took photos of Darren and her. The sweetest ever, was Darren helping her with her dress, and all the flowers they had placed in the room. Then Darren's mom showed me his room he grew up in and there hanging on a hanger was his tuxedo. Down on the floor was a little rocking horse he had as a little boy. I could have cried. Children grow up so fast. This day was my daughter's 5th birthday and I know in a blink of an eye she will be getting married. Sounds crazy, but when a groom is standing up at the front as his bride walks down the aisle I can picture my son and I getting all teary eyed.The quiet moments these two had getting ready was precious. We ended up having a snowstorm that day, that the forecast never even called for, but it was beautiful. I love the big white snowflakes,they are so romantic. After some photos at Darren's parents beautiful home we went to Tosca where their reception was held. It is wonderful inside for photos. Just a little wedding coverage they wanted, but glorious results from this sweet, sweet couple.

Family Time

Last week was March Break, so Troy and I took the week off and headed up to the cottage with the kids. It was so nice out and warm that every March Break up there is getting more different. Challenges to do things without as much snow. We found lots to do with a day of skiing in there as well. This was the first time we skated on the lake at March Break. Troy flooded a patch for more smooth skating and hockey games. One day we skated up two bays. It is just beautiful with the intense blue skies, the sun on our faces,pure fresh air and nobody around,just our screaming children having fun. Deer peeking about and dancing on the lake and around the cottage, birds singing away and feeding out of our hands, maple syrup dripping away with little fingers tasting it's sweetness, long bedtime stories for the children and wonderful meals with glasses of wine for us all on a weekday. Glorious vacation!!!!

Amanda & Ryan's Wedding

Here is a summer wedding slide show to keep dreaming those March winds away.

Amanda and Ryan, what can I say they are beautiful inside and out. Love them!!!! Amanda went to the same high school as me. It's so cool photographing people you know from good old school days. Her lovely husband she met out in B.C. where they live. The beach volleyball shots are in there since Ryan is assistant coach at U.of B.C. So they had a lovely beach wedding here where Amanda grew up and another reception back in B.C. for family and friends. They had me make a DVD slide show for them to show at their reception in B.C. for those who couldn't attend their wedding in Ontario. Amanda said every couple should have one done, so there you go. They are much better quality than these I just post on my blog and a lot longer.DVD slideshow!

Well here is another amazing couple and I can't wait for my weddings to start again!!! ENJOY!

When I saw Lyndsey that Saturday, she did have some nerves going on as most brides do. You get so anxious that your stomach is doing somersaults. When she started to put her dress on it all went so wonderful and smooth from there. Lyndsey is full of fun, and turned up the music and was doing her own rapping. I won't forget that. Sentimental moments with mom and some beautiful photos in the house before we went off to the Trafalgar Castle. The guys were hanging out inside singing away. When Lyndsey walked down the aisle they were singing in the balcony, and tears were brought to every one's eyes. Joe and Lyndsey look so happy together and madly in love. They braved it out in the -20 weather for some sunny winter shots. We went inside the castle for family and the wedding party photographs. Lyndsey and Joe you are such a sweet couple and I had so much fun with you and your family and friends. Thank you for having me photograph your wedding! Love,

Gabrielle is five years old, it feels so much older than four! From three to four wasn't a big deal to me, but five. It doesn't sound like a little girl anymore. It's kind of sad how fast they grow up. I can't believe she is five and Hudson will be eight soon. There are such special moments when they are your little children. They want to hold your hand, kiss them when they hurt, draw little cute stick people for you, help you with everything, want to be carried, and just play, sing, dance, cry and giggle all the time. I will miss the littleness of everything. They are so little and so cute. They have little hands that fit into yours, little bodies that curl up in your lap, little heads that lay against your shoulder, little feet for cute shoes...everything (most of the time)is just so cute. For all these days, moments and times I do have pictures and lots of them, that we will look at over the years. For Gabrielle's birthday I made her an album all her own and she loves it. She loves looking at all the special things over the past year. Photos are one of the most important things in our lives, there is nothing more than my family of course, that I treasure more. Some days I wish they would stay this age forever.

Sophia...cute as a bug! Mom and dad, were my bride and groom a few years ago and I was delighted when they called me to do a portrait session of their one year old...she was a lot of fun.

Let's take a look back to the summer of 2008, as we are in the middle of winter and lots of snow!
I have some slide shows I promised to post for my couples. This past year was very busy for me and getting slide shows on my blog was one thing that takes quite a bit of time. I vow to blog weekly...it should be more than that. I want to update my blog with a new look, but need to find someone to do this. Well enough about me.

Emily and Jonathon are such a hot couple. They are so in love. They have a beautiful little girl, when I first saw them she was just a little baby and now she has grown so much. They are wonderful parents,and show each other the kind of love that all newlyweds have for each other. They have passion, kindness, respect, fun and a beautiful future together.

Their wedding was in Burlington, but we started off at Emily's parents house in Whitby. It was funny as Emily was late arriving. She arrived at the house after her hair was done, when we were suppose to be leaving for the ceremony, but it didn't freak her out. She just went about, smiled, laughed and smiled some more and enjoyed every moment of this momentous preparation time. Emily also gave kisses to her daughter and off they went. When Jonathon saw her come down the aisle in the church he smiled and held it together. We walked across the road for photos after the ceremony with family and friends all around. Their wedding party hung out and we had fun taking lots of photos. Emily's bridesmaid Laura had me as her photographer and now they are all having beautiful babies! Of course Emily and Jonathon had much love to share with the camera as we walked about in the shade on a hot summer's day. They are so sweet and so in love, just a joy to be a part of capturing what their wedding is all about. Thanks for the honour and enjoy your belated slide show guys! Love,Heather

Brooke and Mike got married!

From the summertime is their wedding in St. Jacob's. I will travel for weddings and when it is such a lovely wedding it doesn't even seem like I drove 4 hours that day. Brooke and Mike I met through Brooke's friend Sara's wedding. Brooke had planned her wedding for awhile and it showed with all the immaculate details and personal touches in their wedding. I loved the Inn where they had the ceremony and photos. Loved the pool with cabanas and bar. It was fun! The bridesmaids looked all so beautiful and the pretty little flowers. Brooke and Mike looked amazing and had a wonderful afternoon together. Their family and friends are so important to them and everyone being altogether right until they were done their photos and off to their reception. Thank you guys it was a honor to photograph your wedding.

Even though U2 is my fav. music group, and my title is a great song, it is such an amazing day! I love the colours and the light, with the warmth I could take photos all day long! I have to work though on my computer getting my images done for all my wonderful clients!So, since I'm trying to get slideshow up as the weddings get done I realized I haven't posted on my blog any other portraits so here are some:

Melissa + Randy's Engagement was a lot of fun. They are friends of mine and Melissa couldn't be more happy to be engaged! Randy is a pretty funny guy,and makes Mel smile a lot. Their wedding was in August in Ottawa and I can't wait to get those up on the blog. We've got Melissa looking absolutely stunning, two silly sisters, Randy, cool water sculpture, Parliament Hill and Army dudes

Maire + Daniel are my patiently waiting bride and groom. This is an engagement photo of many, but I just couldn't decide on what ones I like best...it's so hard. We went for a stroll around Whitby Harbour and Marina. It was a beautiful summer evening and these two relaxed after a bit and enjoyed being with each other!

Lindsay + Dustin! What can I say...these are my 2 hometown favourites! You guys are awesome and it was such a joy and honour to photograph them this summer. Lindsay grew up where I live, in Tyrone and loves it. So this is where all her photos took place. She is in her element and Dustin is a pretty cool guy too! Their wedding slideshow is below in the blog. I look forward to the many years of photos with you guys!

Krista + Mike's wedding is next October! They are a fun, groovy couple and it is awesome to get to know each other and for them to go so comfortable in front of the camera. We just did these in Bowmanville which makes the photos have a relaxed, homey yet a cool appeal that suited them.

Keri-Ann+ Ryan are so goofy and Keri loves red so that is what Ryan wore. They are so cute! Their wedding was in October and was a lot of fun. Keri and Ryan are so nice and easy going. Keri is actually the wedding planner for Toronto Delta East and in the summer we stayed at a Delta in Halifax. If you ever need to book a hotel, Delta has excellent service and duvets! Their wedding photos will be up soon!

Suzi + Jack's e-session was just this October and then just last weekend was their wedding at Viamede Resort on Stoney Lake. We got to know each other and for them to get more comfortable around the camera. It works! Let me tell you, if you don't like having your photo taken guys...I will have you so unbelievably wishing it wouldn't end. Suzi and Jack's photos from their wedding will be beautiful as it always is on the lake. I'm so lucky, as my couples are so sweet!

I have to shorten these blurbs or they will never get posted. Emily and Jonathon's photos were shot in the summer. The nice warm glow of the summer sun. Yummy! Couldn't these two be models? Emily is actually and she just had a baby. Wow!!! They have great chemistry together and got them comfortable and great pics.!
Look for their slideshow of their wedding which was in the summer. They are so hot!

Deby and Johnny are my sweet couple too! I love them! I also love Max, their boy! We just went down a bike path and let Max do whatever and had fun! Their wedding was in the summer at Parkwood and was my fav. Doesn't Deby remind you of Sara Jessica Parker? You can see more when I get thier wedding photos up!

Brittany and Mark's engagement truly was. Their wedding is next summer. This is Mark's farm of Bragg Bird Seed in Bowmanville and well isn't Brittany the typical farmer's wife?!?!? We did the whole wardrobe thing four times and high heel shoes too! Sexy! I always say " we watch movies and listen to music that makes us feel a certain way, so should your pictures". Their photos will make them feel so in love! I love, loved walking around the farm and using all the cool backgrounds and props and let them do their thing! Can't wait for their wedding!

Wow~thanks Lindsey and Dustin for being so patient to view your slide show blog! Summer went by in a flash as I still want to post pics for my bloggers . There are photos my summer holidays, all my summer weddings, portraits and my recent trip to England. I'm a busy gal, but LOVE to get my slide shows up for my couples!

This couple is amazing! They are the sweetest ever! Lindsey grew up just around the corner from where I live...the big old town of Tyrone. She loves it so much and she wouldn't have had it any other way , but to be married here. All of the events were here in the hamlet and it was such a great feel to just walk down the beautiful street and take photos of whatever...the church steps, the street, the Old Byam General Store, the fields. Lindsey and Dustin are wonderfully in love and had a wonderful wedding day!

Cristin & Stephen!

I won't ever forget Cristin and Stephen. Individually I will remember Cristin like the princess from the movie "Enchanted". She just had that quality about her on her wedding day. She was so excited that she had to take deep breaths to calm down. If there ever was a moment that I would think of a bride it would be Cristin's very uncontrollable desire of anticipation. She was so excited,so happy to be getting married to Stephen. She loved being a bride...the dress,the hair,the bridesmaids,all of the details, but it was more to her than that, it was getting married to Stephen. Now, Stephen I will never forget either. He is full of fun, silliness and having a great time. There is never a dull moment with Stephen around. Together these two are awesome! They have fun, make each other laugh and show there love for one another. The smile on Cristin's face is so big when she is with Stephen that she is my forever happy princess. They embraced their wedding as their most joyous occasion and celebrated what life is all about...life,laughter and love! Enjoy your little slide show. Cheryl and Doug's May 3,2008 wedding at Deer Creek Golf & Country Club

I am on a roll here! This is my sweet couple Cheryl and Doug! It rained that Saturday spring morning, but that didn't stop anything from being more beautiful than Cheryl and Doug's wedding. All the bridesmaids were amazing. I love when they all get in there and help Cheryl get ready. Her mom's bedroom was so perfect for getting ready and a photo hanging above her bed from when she was married was so symbolic. Deer Creek is such a wonderful setting as they moved their ceremony indoors because of the rain. All the guests, family and friends enjoyed their time and photos were done in and around the indoors of Deer Creek. Come reception time the music played and cued them to make their entrance through the doors onto the dance floor. Enjoy your slide show and thank you for letting me capture your moments! Stephanie and Mike's April 25th wedding at Deer Creek Golf & Country Club

Here is a wedding from April still! It is very busy right now with all my weddings, engagement portraits and other photography, as well as all the other business work, that time flies by...too fast!

School is out in a day or so and then it's officially summer...yeah!!!

For all of my weddings I want to post a slide show. I LOVE these!!! I think it is a very fun and interactive way to share some photos from the wedding. Music just sets a mood and I love music, so what better way than to put this together. Hopefully everyone likes the music selections, if not just turn the volume down or stop the music.

So here is Stephanie and Mike. They are a wonderful couple. Steph and I could talk all day about Europe, and England especially. They love to travel and went to Europe for their honeymoon...so romantic. Steph had her sisters helping her from the moment her dress needed help to sharing in the special moments. The guys were like boys in a candy shop with "the car". I had to take photos around it as something just happened, more of a twinkle in the guys eyes when it was around. Mike though had his eyes on his gorgeous new wife!
