there’s a special little guy needing prayer something’ fierce.

his name is jack and he turned 5 today.

yesterday he had surgery to remove a large tumor from his brain.

it has saved his life.

each quilt is done with the same pattern but the fabrics are all different.

here are a few quilts from the fall mystery quilt.

several mystery quilters used creative license to change the pattern a bit.

you can see that these quilts are dan’s climb (like a stairwell), dan’s walk (straight paths)…

there were sashings added to the quilts and borders changed.

the variety of quilts is astounding and i love how the ladies changed the quilts to suit themselves.

aren’t they all gorgeous?

and amazing?

i love how they all turned out.

so when i got an email from gwenn with pictures attached, i was thrilled.

the striped under-blanket is actually a bedskirt she found at goodwill for $3.

when i started this quilt i thought i was going to struggle through it.

but as i worked i realized i was enjoying myself immensely.

and now i’m off.

while dinner is baking i’m working on some stars for a flag quilt called flag of valor.

it’s a gorgeous quilt that i plan on hanging during the month of july.

usually i pantograph quilt my own quilts but this one i’ll custom quilt.

and, of course, i will post some pictures.

the most important meal of the day.

(really i wanted to share the fantastic picture i took last week.)

sometimes it takes a while.

but, with the help of my superb and more than able-bodied assistant, i now know how to safe my photos for web use.
