Wedding booked for couple in their 80’s!

A wonderful couple, Ann and Harold, both in their 80’s, have booked me to photograph their unusual wedding, which is to be held in the lime caverns underneath Dudley. They will travel into the underground ‘singing cavern’ on narrow boats and experience a floodlit ceremony which will be quite a photographic challenge!

I’m really looking forward to going to check the venue out, to see just how much of a challenge it will be! I love to see a couple doing something different and individual, it makes life so much more interesting. Good luck to Ann and Harold!

Wedding abroad booked

I’m excited to have been booked to do a wedding in this country, then a blessing the following weekend in Brittany, France. Claire and Mark are flying me over to the Chateau, near to Saint Malo, to photograph the french leg of their celebrations, following the british knees up at a beautiful arboretum (both the bride and groom are horticulturalists).

I’m hoping there will be time to take the couple to the nearby beach when in France, never having had the opportunity to take advantage of such a location before. I also intend to make full use of the wonderful setting of the chateau – it’s so exciting, and Claire and Mark are going to have a fabulous album to remember it all! Thanks guys for getting me involved with your fantastic plans.

Silver medal given a mention in Newspaper!

The Express and Star newspaper carried an article on Tuesday featuring a photograph of mine that won a silver medal in the Trierenburg Supercircuit exhibition last year. It was a personal photo taken in Yosemite National Park, California, of the mist rising around a lone figure walking through the valley.

They gave a positive write up mentioning the medal and various other awards. (Mind you, their spelling left a little to be desired!)

‘Real Wedding’ article published in Wedding Connections magazine

A wedding that we photographed last summer has been featured in the ‘Wedding Connections’ magazine using our photos to illustrate the article – and it looks fabulous!

Another of our photos from the same wedding has been used as a full page image to introduce the photographers section, with the title across it ‘Cutting Edge Photographers’! What an accolade! We’re thrilled, I’m sure you can imagine.

‘Miniatures’ replace proofs for 2008

Replacing the proof (with ‘copyright’ emblazened across it) in 2008 will be the beautiful ‘miniature’.

Miniatures are highly desirable for every bride and groom as a keepsake of their wedding day, in addition to their album of course!

You get to keep all of the miniatures, not just the pictures you choose to go in the album, so you have a full record of the whole day to look back on.
