Black Sabbath are an English rock band, formed in Birmingham in 1968 by Ozzy Osbourne (lead vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass guitar), and Bill Ward (drums). The band has since experienced multiple line-up changes, with Tony Iommi the only constant presence in the band through the years. A total of twenty-two musicians have at one time been members of Black Sabbath. Originally formed as a heavy blues-rock band named Earth, the band began incorporating occult- and horror-inspired lyrics with tuned-down guitars, changing their name to Black Sabbath and achieving multiple platinum records in the 1970s. Despite an association with occult and horror themes, Black Sabbath also composed songs dealing with social and political issues such as drugs and war.

As one of the first and most influential heavy metal bands of all time,^[1] Black Sabbath helped define the genre with releases such as quadruple-platinum Paranoid, released in 1970.^[2] They were ranked by MTV as the "Greatest Metal Band" of all time,^[3] and placed second in VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" list, behind Led Zeppelin.^[4] They have sold over 15 million records in the United States alone.^[5] Rolling Stone has posited the band as 'the heavy-metal kings of the '70s'.^[6] They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide.^[7]

Vocalist Ozzy Osbourne's drinking led to his being fired from the band in 1979. He was replaced by former Rainbow vocalist Ronnie James Dio. After a few albums with Dio's vocals and his songwriting collaborations, Black Sabbath endured a revolving line-up in the 1980s and 1990s that included vocalists Ian Gillan, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen and Tony Martin. In 1992, Iommi and Butler rejoined Dio and drummer Vinny Appice to record Dehumanizer. The original line-up reunited with Osbourne in 1997 and released a live album, Reunion. The 1979–1982 and 1991–1992 line-up featuring Iommi, Butler, Dio, and Appice reformed in 2006 under the moniker Heaven & Hell until Dio's death on 16 May 2010.

Anti A.C.T.A.

2010-08-30T16:06:00.001-07:00

ACTA is an abbreviation for the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. It is an International Treaty that will be pushed to implementation by 2010. It has been discussed in secret since October 2007, and has been leaked by government officials who were against the unconstitutional, ineffective, inhumane, and unlawful nature of such a treaty.

I am anti A.C.T.A and you should be too.

1. The government makes isps(your internet provider) monitor what you are doing on the internet.
2. When you go to an airport it will allow them to search your personal devices ipods computers etc for songs movies and files that are copyrighted and if found can put you in jail.
3.It allows the government to ban websites on the internet it deems inappropriate.

It goes completely against our constitutional rights.

Here we go first song of the day.
This is Fear Factory With Powershifter off of their brand new album Mechanize
Even with a new drummer they are still amazing.
About the band

Fear Factory is an American heavy metal band. Formed in 1989, they have released seven full-length albums and a number of singles and remixes. Over the course of their career they have evolved from a succession of styles, as well as steadily pioneered a combination of the styles death metal, groove metal, thrash metal and industrial metal.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4] The resultant sound proved to be enormously influential on the metal scene from the mid-90s and onwards.^[5]

Fear Factory disbanded in March 2002^{[citation needed]} following some internal disputes, but they reformed later that year minus founding member Dino Cazares, adding bassist Byron Stroud, and casting then-bassist Christian Olde Wolbers as guitarist.

In April 2009, a new lineup was announced with founding guitarist Cazares returning, and Gene Hoglan being added as drummer. Bell and Stroud are both reprising their respective roles, and the band had completed a seventh studio album, Mechanize. Former members Christian Olde Wolbers and Raymond Herrera (both currently playing in Arkaea) dispute the legitimacy of the new lineup, and a legal battle is underway from both parties.

The band has performed at three Ozzfests as well as the inaugural Gigantour and has had singles in the US Mainstream Rock Top 40 and albums in the Billboard Top 40, 100 and 200. Prior to 2001 they have toured around 2000 shows. They have sold over 1 million albums in the U.S. alone.
