Yanko Design Publishes A Hands-On Review of OneLessDesk

I subscribe to hundreds of design blogs. Yanko Design is in my top 3. So when they asked me for a OneLessDesk to review, I jumped at the chance. Long Tran of Yanko Design used the desk for about a month. His review is now available. He makes a great point about the price of OneLessDesk relative to other high quality, designer desks on the market.

You asked for a OneLessDesk that costs less. We listened.The new OneLessDesk is constructed of powder-coated steel, laser cut, and available in ‘iPod’ Silver and Gloss White. Both versions are beautiful. It’s shipping now, and it’s $649. That’s almost half the price of the original OneLessDesk. For all the stainless steel lovers out there, don’t fret. Our stainless steel OneLessDesk is not going anywhere – it’s now called the OneLessDesk Limited Edition and it’s ready to ship.

A Visit To The OneLessDesk Factory

I dropped by the factory last week. Everything is moving along nicely. Here’s what I saw:

A stack of OneLessShelves readyto be welded on to upper decks. These shelves have received their preliminary brushed finish. All parts are “finished” before and after assembly to make sure all surfaces and crevices get the brushed look.

Here, a stack of water-cut brackets for both the upper and lower deck have just received their preliminary brushed finish. All OneLessDesk parts are cut and punched by CNC machines to ensure incredible precision and tolerances.

Here, a stack of decks await the bending process that gives them their ninety-degree radius bend. You’ll note the decks have their prelim brushed finish and the oblong holes on the ends for feet attachment.
