STEPHEN DAY
Stephen started his career at 17 years old in the north east of England in 1998, where he gained a three night weekly residency in the main room of the best club in his home town of Darlington playing his passion, deep and soulful house music. After a few months he took up more offers of residencies and guest events all around the cities and towns of the north east.

Towards the end of 2002 Stephen started to play a lot more underground disco and eighties electro in his dj sets, as his passion and knowledge for this music started to grow. He then teamed up with disco legend Nigel Wanless (aka 'Brutus Gold') owner of 'Phreek productions'. Together they started a Studio 54 night. The night was a huge success and was booked to tour the whole of the United Kingdom. It had residencies in places such as; 'Arch 9' in Manchester, 'The Works' in Nottingham, 'The Empire' in Middlesbrough, Bath and Leeds university, Fubar in Stirling, Scotland, Oceana in London and Gatecrasher in Leeds and now HELIPAD.

Dave, lead singer of new wave band ELECTRICO takes the decks for an Indie spin!!!

Singapore’s most stylish and prevalent band, Electrico, released their debut album “So Much More Inside” in August 2004 under Universal Music in Singapore, Australia, Thailand and Indonesia. “So Much More Inside” achieved cult success following the release of their first single, “I Want You” and shot to the No 1 spot on local radio. With subsequent singles “Runaway” and “Good Time” attaining substantial radio and MTV airplay, Electrico acquired significant popularity and was credited with reviving the local music scene.

In June 2006, Electrico released their second album “Hip City” which stayed on HMV Singapore’s Top 10 sales chart for weeks. The first single, synth-rock “Love In New Wave” was remixed by resident Zouk DJ Aldrin and dance producer Akien, and also became a Pete Tong essential dance anthem.

Electrico’s long anticipated 3rd album, “We Satellites” is now available at all good record stores.

For those of you who know the roots of Helipad and the history of clubbing in Singapore, one little club must be etched in your memories forever - The legendary Liquid Room - the final and for many, the only stop on the club scene before it all becomes a beautiful blur.

To launch Helipad's new Saturday after midnight, 00:01 - we resurrect the spirit of Liquid Room and match it with another legend, DJ Gabriel. Back in 2000, if our brain cells serve us well, KL had the hottest night life in Asia and DJ Gabriel brought it there in the form of House music in a space we all know as Movement. The mythical dusk till dawn club then burned down in a ferocious fire in 2002. Everything was destroyed except the sound system...

DJ Gabriel drops by the Helipad with Joey G this Saturday, October 4th, after midnight to jolt us with a massive evening of electro tech, booze, bootie and dancefloor bombs.
