We are talking about DVDFab DVD Copy for Mac, being a big fan of DVDs this one helped me to save time.

Key Features of DVD Copy for Mac

8 DVD copy modes available

Personalize your DVD

Convenient way for copying

In short, DVD Copy for Mac = DVD copy + DVD cloner + DVD burner + DVD decrypter

This software is capable of removing all the known DVD copy protections, it does this in a very fast speed around 10-20 minutes. It will also be constantly updated to remove latest DVD copy protections to support all DVD formats.

The best thing I liked about this is, the ability to copy discs that are badly scratched or damaged. I don’t know how many software will have this special feature. Even if the IFO files can’t be read, it can make a copy of the movie content using “Main Movie” or “Customize” copy modes. The copy speed is pretty good too.

Main Features

1. Copy and Burn any DVD Disc

You can copy or burn any DVD disc, any known format, easily. You can also rip and copy DVD onto your Mac as ISO image file

2. Create DVD Backups

There are 8 DVD copy modes available like Split, Full Disc etc to customize your DVD and to personalize your DVD.

3. Easy way of copying

The user interface is pretty good and you can easily copy DVDs without much fuss. You can see the progress of the copying file and a preview screen is available to avoid setup errors.

Overall this is a great Mac DVD Copy software to check out. DVDFab DVD Copy for Mac is definitely a best all-in-one solution for making DVD backup of your expensive DVD collection.

You can also checkout another great software from DVDFab, DVD Ripper for Mac. It is the most powerful, flexible and fast Mac DVD ripper that you can find for ripping and converting your DVD video content to popular file formats for playback on many devices including iPod, iPad (iPad 2), iPhone (iPhone 4S) and many.

Which all sites do you use frequently for social networking?

Your instant reply would be Facebook and Twitter. Though they have the potential to get you some income we can’t neglect other social networking websites like LinkedIn etc. I know LinkedIn is not as exciting like Facebook or Twitter but it isn’t that bad. When I started my blogging career, I focussed on almost 10 Networking sites which also included Rediff, StumbleUpon, LinkedIn etc but now I have started neglecting it. With my second site to be launched soon I have again started to put in some efforts back on linkedIn again.

I have also discovered that it is not only a powerful networking tool but it can also help you in generating some leads or sales. With almost 150+ Million members (almost all are Bussiness Owners, Senior Management etc etc.). It has the perfect readymade audience that I was looking for my new site which would be about selling some SEO services. After going through the linkedIn again, I have come to a point that generating leads is not a big task on LinkedIn. So here are some personal tips by me on how to generate leads on linkedIn.

1. Give a Oomph Factor to your profile

Your profile would decide your linkedIn presence, and if your profile is not upto date then you are missing out on something big. So its time to change it and make it par with others. Add your experience in your LinkedIn profile. Provide an in-depth write up about your professional history and your services that you offer so that other LinkedIn Members would get to know your services better and order you somehing directly. A professional looking picture of you is suggested. Don’t add some other pics like Taj Mahal or Twin towers.

2. Create a LinkedIn Feeds

The best part about LinkedIn is that it gives Individuals and Companies a chance to demonstrate their expertise by replying to questions in their field in LinkedIn answer Area. To grab the attention, answer in categories like your current employers or previous employers or your geographic location. To make it even more easier for you, you can create a RSS feed for your answers and use it with any of your Favourite RSS Feeder tools like Feedburner.

3. Increase your connections

It is similar to increasing your Facebook friends. This one is pretty simple to understand and even to complete the task i.e Adding more connections to your profile. The more, better for us. Because you would have wider audience for your products and increase your chances of generating the leads. When you find someone with whom you would like to connect, give him your personal info briefly this would help the second person know you better. Let the person know about your services and products and express your desire about staying in touch with him/her.

4. Share Content

Another simple way to generate leads is to share contents with your connections on regular basis. I’m sure you would be reading something interesting or different every day then why not let your connections also know about this unique post and get some trust. You might also consider to share only those content which is related to your product or services and even write a short brief about the post before posting it on your profile.

5. Search for local events

Look for some local events that are posted on LinkedIn, which would again help you in increase your presence and reach. Meeting online connections are something that I love, hope you will also have this minset. You can also create events on LinkedIn.

Though I have generated some leads using the above tips but I can’t guarantee success to you too. What next? Feel free to comment below and know your trick to generate the leads on LinkedIn.

With a limited amount of text, we need to be careful how we use that space. As an individual, or small business, we can learn from what others are doing. In this article, we look at some of the common mistakes, even the big companies are making, to help us make better use of our Tweets. Online marketing is a tricky business. As always, we need to have a step-by-step strategy for our growth. Twitter is no different, and actually, most mistakes made on Twitter relate to us trying to get too much out of a single Tweet.

1. Multiple URLs

Multiple URLs in a single Tweet will not only confuse users, it will confuse search engines. Each Tweet should only ever contain a single URL. It is important to remember users are normally seeing a lot of information on Twitter, and we do not want to make what they are seeing any more complicated.

2. Multiple Hashtags

Like multiple URLs, multiple hashtags will not make it easier for others to find your information. Hashtagging only makes sense if you want your Tweets to be found in search. With multiple tags, your Tweet is lost in a sea of options, instead of being easier to find. Limit hashtagging unless you are specific about a conversation you want to join, and always only have a single hashtag.

3. Not Using URL Shorteners

With a limit to the number of characters we can ever post with Twitter, using URL shorteners is the only way to post a URL. Our original URLs need to make sense, and this is not the case for shortened URLs. At the same time, we can use those websites that provide those shortened URLs to gather more information on those Tweets, such as, how many times they have been clicked on. If you are not familiar with URL shortening, now is the time to learn. We can use URL shortening in other ways, such as with email outs to our subscriber lists on our websites to help us gather more data too.

4. Irrelevant Language

SEO (search engine optimisation) should be applied to everything we do online. It forms the basis of our website design, and our content marketing strategies. We need to keep our language and terminology appropriate on Twitter just as we do will all content. Using different terms to attract attention will only confuse followers, and confuse search engines. It is important we use the same terminology across all social media marketing platforms.

5. Over Twittering

Perhaps it is the temptation to send out something else, or put an extra piece of information out there, but over Twittering continues to be one of the biggest mistakes of just about everyone on Twitter. Even when someone is following only 10 people, it can be hard for them to take in all that information unless they are doing nothing but follow Twitter all day. If you want your Tweets to count, less is definitely more.

6. Over Following

Following others to have them follow you may seem a polite way to act on Twitter, but the fact remains if someone is following too many people, then they cannot possibly take in all that information. If you are contacting those who follow you, and following them in return, you will soon be following too many people. If others following you are following a lot of people they cannot possibly be seeing your Tweets in their see of visible posts.

The core of good online marketing starts from the very beginning. You cannot build up more followers and build up importance of your Tweets with haste. It is only those who are extremely popular outside of social media who have this ability. The fact remains there is an imbalance with Twitter. Being popular and followed by a lot of people is not easy. None of us should expect we could do it, especially over a short period of time.

Earlier we shared some basic tips to increase your subscribers count and also some reasons why you should subscribe HBB. A Blog Subscriber is a loyal reader who not only reads your blog posts regularly but is also interested in being a part of it. Your subscribers form your mailing and marketing list, your basic ticket to sales furtherance strategies. Take a look at our great tips to increase your blog subscription rate phenomenally.

Note: Subscribing is not only applicable for Email Newsletters and RSS, but also for other Social networks, so you can apply these things on them too.

1. Devise an Efficient Content Strategy

Establish a steady content upload strategy so there’s always something fresh and interesting. Make the content fresh, light, funny, personal, valuable and meaningful. Tall order? Yes. You want subscribers? Do it.

Some useful Resources:

5 Ways You Can Get Fresh Content Inspiration

2. Make Your Subscription Link Highly Visible

Make sure your feed subscription button or link is highly visible on every page. Make that you include a subscription link with each post, in your email signature and in your guest posts and comments.

3. Provide a Call To Action

Sometimes you’ve got to tell people to take action, or else most of them just won’t bother. Put out a call to action, something aggressive yet humorous, like, “We know you loved this article! Why wait? Subscribe to our regular feeds now!”

4. Create a ‘Subscribers Only’ Community On Your Blog

Promote regular Subscribers Only polls, surveys, lotteries, reward schemes, prime content, discussion forums, or a free eBook. Create an exclusive ‘subscribers-only’ community and make your readers want to belong.

5. Proudly Display Your Current Subscription Rate

Prominently display the total subscriptions and average monthly subscription rate using a tool like FeedBurner. This will make the reader think that if so many people have subscribed, there must be something good in your feeds.

6. Update Your SEO

Update both on and off page Search Engine Optimization on your site to get more visitors to your site. The more visitors you get, the more the chances of increased subscription rates.

7. Educate Your Readers about RSS Feeds

How many people know that RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication? Click an RSS logo and you’ll see a page of text that’s not very easy to understand. No wonder people just leave the page. Provide some explanation as to what RSS is all about, next to your RSS subscription button. The better your readers understand, the more interested they’ll be to subscribe. You can also create a “Subscribe” page explaining them how to subscribe.

8. Use the Right WordPress Plugins

You can use the What Would Seth Godin Doplugin to customize limited time welcome messages targeted at new and repeat visitors. You can use the plugin to place customized Email or RSS subscription form in your posts as well.

The WP Greet Box WordPress plugin welcomes visitors with a small message and also allows you to include social icons and a RSS link.

9. Avoid Long Contact Forms

Keep your subscription forms simple and non-intimidating. If you want additional information, prompt users to provide it after a few feeds are delivered.

10. Design a Great Landing Page

Your landing page really ‘lands’ the user, if it is effectively and attractively designed. A landing page is solely dedicated to getting people to subscribe, so keep it distraction free.

11. Post Comments on Other Blogs

Drop your Feed URL or landing page in your comment link. Comment consistently and let the comments show your depth of understanding, intelligence, subject authority and astuteness. It also helps to use a clever avatar along with your comments. Brand your comments and become a hero in commenting.

12. Use the Right RSS Feed Tools

Use a tool such as FeedBlitz; it analyzes your blog’s computer-readable RSS feed and updates the latest stuff to subscribers via email, IM and Tweet.

13. Design an Attractive Signup Form

A boring subscription form is only going to get your readers yawning. Jazz it up a little, make it attractive, funny, interesting and exclusive to encourage readers to subscribe.

14. Use the Right Words

Check out the difference between, “If you like this article, please subscribe” and “We know you loved this article! Get our latest delivered to your inbox – sign up now!”. You get the point.

15. Focus On Target Niche Audience

Don’t dilute the impact you’re trying to make by marketing to everyone. Focus on getting your niche target audience to subscribe.

16. Do Your Guest Blogging from the Beginning

Don’t wait till you have 100 subscribers to begin guest blogging. Get your name out there right from the beginning; it’s the best way to get more subscribers. Check the basic benefits of Guest Blogging.

17. Write an eBook And Give It Away

Find out what your target audience needs and write a great eBook that helps them solve their problems. Offer this eBook as a reward to anyone who subscribes.

18. Make Sure Your About Us Page Creates an Impact

Your readers want to know you intimately in order to form an emotional connection. Use your About Us page to get up close and personal with your readers.

Do you know any other cool tips? Kindly share them in the comments please, thank you.

There are a variety of blogging platforms that can easily set up an individual with their own personal blog. However, the blogging platform plays a major role in the theme and tone: certain platforms are suited for personal use, while others are used to convey a professional tone. Whether you’re starting a personal, business, or niche blog, it’s important to choose the platform that best suits the theme.

Comparing the Blogging Platforms

There are a variety of blogging platforms to choose from, each with their own unique advantages and disadvantages. The following are the most common content management systems used today:

Blogger

Blogger is a blogging service owned by Google, which allows users to create a free blog. While Blogger can be used for business purposes, the majority of users on Blogger tend to focus on personal use. One of the main benefits of Blogger is its easy setup process: anyone with a Gmail account can create a blog through Blogger.

Drupal

Drupal is a content management system that is open source and free to set up. A variety of parties use Drupal for their backend systems, ranging from businesses, personal blogs and government sites. One of the key characteristics of Drupal is its add-ons, called “contrib modules”. These extensions allow users to add various features to their blog and increase functionality. Though no programming knowledge is required in order to setup a site through Drupal, proficiency in PHP may be needed in order to use advanced features.

Moveable Type

Moveable Type is a growing competitor amidst more well known blogging platforms. This content management system allows users to create professional websites with the ability to support an active social network. While Moveable Type offers several free versions, there are a number of advanced, enterprise solutions ideal for businesses.

Tumblr

Tumblr is known as a microblogging platform, type of short form blogging that integrates social media elements. With a highly connected sharing function called “reblogging”, users are able to quickly share and spread content. While Tumblr is commonly used for personal blogs, a majority of users come from creative industries and backgrounds.

Typepad

A blogging platform, Typepad is used by a variety of parties, including creatives, industry leaders and businesses. Typepad does require a subscription, but customers are able to gain access to a domain name, customized blog designs and personal support. However, if you’re looking for a more cost-effective solution, Typepad also features a Micro version, a microblogging platform that easily integrates with Facebook.

WordPress

WordPress is arguably the most popular and well-used content management system available. With an open source system and a number of free templates and themes, anyone can quickly set up a WordPress blog. WordPress also features an extensive plug-in library, allowing users to expand the functionality beyond the basic architecture. In addition to personal use, many companies and businesses use WordPress to create well-designed websites integrated with blogs.

When deciding among the various blogging platforms, it’s important to take into account a variety of factors, such as user interface, ease of setup and programming language. Choosing the right blogging platform may be confusing, but by considering your requirements, you can find a blog that best meets those needs.

Don’t get any wrong impression that affiliate marketing is very hard way to earn money online, no its not it’s one of the easiest ways of making money online if you do it in a right way. The only reason behind few people is able to move on with affiliate marketing is because they know the actual meaning of affiliate marketing and the secret of promoting affiliate products and all of the above they try to avoid all silly affiliate marketing mistakes that we normally make that play an important part behind our affiliate marketing failure. So what are those silly mistakes that they avoid to be a successful affiliate marketer?. Stick your ideas with the below points and try to execute them in your own strategies.

1. Affiliate Product

The product that we select to promote as an affiliate is the key to affiliate marketing success. If you choose a wrong product to promote on your blog then it’s obvious that you are not going to get single penny. Its same situation like you have a mango store and you are selling apples, it’s completely a negative situation. Then how can you think that the person who will come to the store is going to buy apples, it’s not possible. So if you have a blog which is about social media then select the products related to it to promote if you want to be successful with affiliate marketing.

2. The Audience

Another mistake that almost every affiliate marketer makes is promoting their affiliate product in front of wrong audience. If you really want to gain some penny through affiliate marketing then you have to take care of the audience to whom you going to market your products. Let’s take the same situation that I have chosen for exemplifying above point, you can’t promote mangos in front apple loving audiences, if you are promoting it then you are not going to make a single cent. So if you want to make lots of bucks from affiliate marketing than make sure that you consider the type of audience you are going to target.

2. Promotional Tactics

The methods you are using to promote your affiliate marketing products also matters a lot if you want to be succeed in affiliate marketing. Better stay away from the normal promotional tactics to market your affiliate product if you really want to make some serious amount of money from affiliate marketing. Try to use promotion tactics that are most effective like social media integration and which deliver you a better amount of traffic to your affiliate product if you want to fill your pocket with lots of money by affiliate marketing.

It was the year when people woke up and fought for democracy and for their rights. It was the year when Indians got together to fight against corruption, when the Arab world saw a new wave of protests – all for the good. It was the year when social media took a new turn towards social activism and acted as a tool for change.

Here is your chance to make use of this tool and express your views on civil society and democracy, and stand the chance of winning an iPad 2. Youth Ki Awaaz is getting along with the American Embassy, New Delhi, to organize Blogocracy, a blog-a-thon to get bloggers from North India (the regions under the purview of the American Embassy, New Delhi) to build chatter around issues that matter.

Being a part of this contest is easy. You must write a blog entry of 300-1000 words with your own perspective on one of the three topics:

What does democracy mean to me?

The many ways we are alike: American and Indian democracy

Rule by the people: how civil society makes democracy tick

Your post must be written on your own blog. Whether you are an experienced blogger with a following, or a beginner who wants to be heard, your entry must be hosted on your own blog site. If you’re a first timer, set up an account on any popular blogging site, and write, write, write.

Once you have written your blogpost, please submit the link of the same at blogocracy@youthkiawaaz.com in the following format:

Full Name:
Street Address:
City:
State:
Email:
Mobile number:
Age:
1-2 Sentence summary of your blogocracy entry:
Link to your blog:

After mailing your blog post to blogocracy@youthkiawaaz.com, please post a link of the same on our Facebook page and tweet the link to us on Twitter @YouthKiAwaaz with the hashtag #Blogocracy.

After we receive your blog entry and confirm that it meets the criteria, we will post the link to your blog on the SPAN.state.gov and YouthKiAwaaz.com website, where all our visitors can link to your blog. We reserve the right to remove our link if your blog posts offensive material or items that violate our terms and conditions.

All blog entries will be judged based on analysis of the topic, creativity, and originality of thought. The selection board will consist of U.S. Embassy officers and civil society leaders. The best entry will win an iPad and will be published in SPAN magazine during our special democracy and elections issue. Two runners up will receive cool prizes. Winners will be announced on or before March 13.

Blogocracy, for now, is limited to residents of North India. You must live in any of the following states:

Bihar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, or Uttarakhand.

You must be over the age of 16 to participate.

The blogs can be in either English or Hindi

All blogs will be checked for plagiarism. If any portion of your blog has been copied (yes, even from Wikipedia!), it will be disqualified from the contest.

Social media includes web-based and mobile technologies that allow users to talk, participate, share, bookmark, network and more. It is indeed a social instrument of communication. Forums and Online Communities, Blogs, Facebook, Twitter – all these are called social media. Companies ought to follow consumers where they head to. People read blogs, give comments, share content in various blogs, forums and social networks. The reason why all businesses need to have a social media strategy is because it prevents sending a wrong signal or a mixed signals and emphasizes why social media is relevant to your business’ overall goals. You can have a brand/fan page on almost every popular social network however you also need to keep in mind as to who will be your audience and reach them where they are. It is also important to ensure that these media give a good opportunity for you to connect with your customers and vice versa. Here’s a practical approach to developing a social media strategy for your business for the year 2012.

1. How much is the effect: One brand or fan page in Facebook or a Digg bookmark won’t create a difference so try a combination of tools.

2. Online presence: Today there are a range of platforms like laptops, smartphones, tablets and desktop. Get to know how your consumers are using their mobile phones and its related apps. Also have a check on the online presence you create in these platform for your consumers.

3. Security measure: The Single sign-on, also called convergence has simplified the interaction on social networks. Users now have lesser passwords to remember as they can access websites using Facebook or Twitter. But convergence has paved the way for hacking to hackers as it is easy to get more information with less passwords to get in the way. The same treat poses even for mobile users. You need to earn trust and consistency from your customers and this is a major factor which will influence your business in the e-commerce world.

4. Online sales: Today, in Facebook we can find online shops of so many businesses selling different products and services paving the way for online sales. Keep a watch on the share your consumers make on products they like and purchase. As your online customers participate more, your brand is valued more. Shared experiences can improve your products and services.

5. Establish relationships: When you have an opportunity to attend conferences or events related to your industry, make the best use of it to strengthen existing relationships and also create a new network. There might be people who have hidden their identity with an avatar in social networks and through these events you get a chance to meet in person.

6. Measure Success and Presence: These are the actions which you need to measure like Brand presence.Take a note of the fan count for your Facebook page, follower count on Twitter, comment count in blog and forum. This tells you about your brand presence across various media.

7. Traffic and Response: Take a note of the number of links from other websites to your brand’s URL. Also take care of Comment response for brand. Take a note of the positive and negative feeback about your brand. Both are required for upgrading.
