Doktor A has revealed some awesome limited edition Enameled Metal badges, "Mechtorian Badges". On the 5th of each month he will be releasing the badges, relief cast in real metal, antiqued, polished and partly enamel filled to give a classic vintage look. the first release will be the copper/teal badge, an edition of 100 that will be available in his store ( HERE ) on the 5th of October for $10. There will also be an edition of 80 badges in a brass/black colourway for Designer Con happening on the 5th of November, with any left overs going into the store on the Dok's return from the States.

Leecifer has revealed his entry into "The Gumpy Show" which takes place on the 8th of October at Gunnzo. His custom Gumpy "Smurfpire Gumpy" has the Gumpy figure transformed into a crazy Smurf character, complete with cape that hides beneath it an iconic Leecifer butt crack. Another great entry into what is shaping up to be a fantastic show.

Super7 announce some super releases for Friday the 30th of September. First up we have Leecifer's "Charcoal Flame" Honoo, which is cast in Pearl Grey vinyl with Black and Orange sprays and will retail for $35 each. Then we see the return of Milton, "Skulletor" Milton is cast in Blue vinyl accented by Dark Blue, Yellow and Red sprays and will be available for $25 each. Both are available for sale this Friday, September 30th at Noon Pacific at the Super7 Store and online.

New site Trampt has pulled a major coup for NYCC 2011 by having the team from Red Mutaca Studio's display some customs at their Booth #981 and for some giveaways. Sergio Mancini, Igor Ventura, Luihz Unreal and Matucha will be displaying over a dozen customs at the Booth, including Custom Dunnys, Munnys, Qee, Bub and a Fatcap. There will also be a couple of pieces for the Trampt "Want It & Win It' giveaway. So if you are at NYCC make sure you drop in at Booth #981 to see some awesome custom work and more !

Troy Stith - OG Sculpt "The Guardian"

Troy Stith is back, and shows us a recently commissioned OG sculpt "The Guardian". Great to see some new work from Troy, backstory of The Guardian is after the break.

The village of Mikomi sits about one hundred yards from the twin-trunk behemoth known to locals as ‘The Guardian’. The mighty tree once stood with both trunks intact and it was nothing more than a favorite lounging spot for the people of the village. That was until the night a massive storm fell upon the forests surrounding Mikomi.
Wind gusts picked away at houses while torrential rain soaked through thatched roofs. Villagers huddled next to one another as the clouds bellowed out earth shaking thunder. Flashes of lightning illuminated the terrified faces of the children before plunging them back into darkness. Village elders tried to remain calm, but even their hearts quivered with fear as the storm’s anger grew.
Suddenly a large white flash and an even bigger crack deafened the terrified villagers. Moaning and creaking were followed by the sounds of leaves and branches falling to the ground. As soon as the sound ended, the rain began to let up, but the villagers stayed in place. Deciding that there was nothing they could do in the darkness of night, they would wait until morning to assess the damages.
As soon as the warm rays of light began to fill the village, the people of Mikomi started to surface from their hiding spots. Mikomi’s shaman Opler was the first to discover what the large crash was that marked the end of the storm. The large tree the village had always taken for granted, had been struck with lightning severing one of it’s mighty trunks. Opler took this as a sign, that this tree had sacrificed it’s brother in order to protect the villagers. The base of the tree had become a cavern of charred remains and growth feeding the remaining living trunk.
Opler named the tree ‘The Guardian’ and began the tradition of paying homage to this protector. To this day the villagers of Mikomi pin sheets of gratitude and prayer within the cavernous trunk.

His custom Gumpy "skracht gumpy ex. 1 - old_r model" was created with dry transfer instant lettering and spray paint, a technique he has made his own and creates one of the nicest effects around.
