         <description><pre-wrap>I ordered Fios. box came in mail yesterday, waited for email that service was ready, came this morning. Tried set up and it didn't work. Called support and although I was not on hold, was basically 90 minutes of silence while rep was on other side and we waited for a "NT". Finally support rep said someone would call me tonight.. Waited 2 hours until 9pm.. no call. 

In meantime, I called my cable TV and scheduled install for tomarrow. I have had service from them for 8 years at my last house and they rock. Was a 5 minute call. 

I called Verizon to cancel and mail the Internet router back.. I navigate Verizons awful phone system, selecting billing, rep answers by saying "I don't see that you have phone service" as first words instead of "Hello". I tell him I need to cancel, internet.. he transfers and phone rings for 3 minutes straight and I hang up.

I call back, try to get some form of customer service...not sure which department I was in. I asked to speak to a supervisor.. rep says why... I explain I want to cancel my service.. he says no... I start swearing.. he says hold on I will get a supervisor. I wait.. 10 minutes go by... I hang up.

I am going to mail box back with UPS return label. If they bill me, I am going to have my bank reverse charges. I am sure this is all going to be a pain in the butt. 

I had Verizon Cell service 10 years ago and it was just as bad, not sure why I gave them another chance.

There is absolutely no channel to cancel service on Verizon website. Verzizon is only about Billing customer, they could care less if you hate them or have bad experience. They just want you on monthly service so they can bill and bill..  stay away from Verizon</pre-wrap></description>

         <description><pre-wrap>I called Verizon in early April to suspend my stolen phone. I explained that I wanted to continue being billed until my contract end date, (April 22, two weeks away) so that my contract would expire. I informed the rep that when my contract expired, I would no longer be continuing service. The Verizon rep said no problem. I just received a bill for the month following my contract end date: $33 for a month's worth of suspended service on a stolen phone past the contract date. I contacted Verizon's customer service phone system, which is set to automatically hang up on the customer if they no longer have a valid Verizon phone number (2#$#%#@???) I just spent the last twenty minutes chatting with a Verizon rep online who insists that I owe the bill. RIDICULOUS. 

Let's go back to tin cans and string.</pre-wrap></description>

1) No warranty
2) No upgrade
That's fine, I probably should've planned for this. What's the next best alternative? a TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY DOLLAR NON-SMART PHONE. I'm talking like fucking 2003, "I thought this shit was cool in 8th grade" type of phone. Two hundred and thirty dollars. 
So verizon put me in this situation essentially:
-You have no phone, but we are going to bill you for the line
-It cost 200 to terminate the contract
-It costs 230 to buy a new phone

Thank you verizon, for putting my dick in a vice. Ever since I was young I always thought "Gee, I hope I get to legally get robbed one day". Thanks for making dreams come true verizon, I fucking hate you, you soulless, faceless company.</pre-wrap></description>

         <description><pre-wrap>I converted my home telephone and internet service to Verizon FIOS on June 25, 2012. The promo price was good and came with a 30-day no-penalties trial. After two weeks of frustration with the service and bad customer support, I decided to go back to my original service with Cox Communications and made the necessary calls to both companies. Two days later, the Verizon sales rep who sold me on FIOS called and asked why I was canceling. I explained my dissatisfaction, he hung up and within two hours, my phone line was dead. Dozens of calls and 3 weeks without home phone service to reconnect the phone number we had for 18+ years. Verizon would not give me any tracking information or even call me with an update. No one at Verizon would give me their direct phone numbers and corporate customer service would not even answer my repeated calls. And when it finally was fixed, they had the nerve to bill for internet usage and threaten collections if I did not pay.  Verizon impacted my home and my business and I never even got an apology let alone a refund. Of course, I get the usual "we want you back" mail every other week but I will never use anything from Verizon again.</pre-wrap></description>

         <description><pre-wrap>I suggest we go to the Media such as Dateline, Huffington Post and local &amp; Internet Newspapers.  I already have several people willing to tell their Verizon horror stories. This is the worst company in the TV and internet business. I thought Dish was bad. I also suggest going to your state's public utilities commission. I've already written to mine. Verizon lies to the customers and are encouraged to do so. They ignore problems and hike your bill for no reason. I have never received the same bill amount monthly and recently they extended my contract illegally for another year. The first time, they extended my contract because "their" DVD boxes weren't recording my movies. The TVs are still not working properIy, freezing, blacking out, not recording programs I've set. I am canceling Verizon and will take them to small claims court if they bill me. Verizon workers are already filing a class action lawsuit for the way they are treated and told to ignore problem customers (customers with problems) and to lie to the customers so they'll go away.  It's outrageous! I will go to whomever will help me because Verizon ignores me. I suggest you take your auto pay off, otherwise--they will help themselves to your money without your knowledge or consent. When you're on Auto Pay, your consent is automatic. So take it off ASAP. It takes two cycles until it's completely removed. Because of an illness, I've been unable to deal with the hours and hours it takes to argue with people that will not let me talk to supervisors. Maybe they'll make time for the Attorney General or someone with power.</pre-wrap></description>

Even the agent on the phone for verizon said she was impossible to deal with.
