I think it was last week - while on my to work, as I was catching up with the flock of people rushing to board the next "Red/Purple" line to downtown LA to work, I got a glimpse of a big group of boy scouts. I guess they were geting ready for a camp or may be a day trip.
Its amazing how a visual can take you back so many years in your life, and put a smile on your face :). It was during my 10th grade in school, I was told that i got the chance to attend the prestigious "Rasthrapathi Bharat Scouts and Guides camp" , after successfully completing the "Rajyapuraskar level". Well, it was a Hercules task to persuade mom and dad to give the consent letter, given that I will miss few school days at the very beginning of the 10th grade - but finally I got it.
Guides Camps are always full of life and adventure - be it the DIY sessions , the "Bada Ghana" during the campfire evening(the sumptuous dinner comprising of a full course meal with all possible goodies after a week of so so food), the "All Faith prayer" ,Bread with Daal breakfast (which we South Indians are not that familiar with ..atleast not me :) OMG - Bread and Daal - what a weird combo), the early morning BP's six exercise, or the Inspection.
I was really into this gadget test they had - use the knowledge of all the "knots" and "hitches" to build a gadget that is useful- I created a mini ladder using sticks and ropes - and beamed with pride while keeping it for display when examiners came to inspect our small tent.
On another note , these camps were a window of opportunity to mingle with students from other schools -from different parts of the country. You get yourself ready for adventures, get trained in being independent - taking care of your self and your stuff all alone and last but not the least build friendships that last a lifetime.

simply awesome. The very concept of dream within a dream is thrilling.Inception is a movie about a persons journey of finding out highly confidential information by sailing through a persons mind using dreams. The protagonist is so much into it that he loses his wife. The only way he can get to his children is by doing something that his kind of people believe is impossible; "Inception" : planting an idea into a persons mind by traveling through his dream. The plot becomes more convoluted as he and his friends try to create, and manage four levels of dreams ,each having their own duration and finally try to implant the idea into Cillian Murphy, the businessman's mind.Writer/director Christopher Nolan doesn't make it that specific;not revealing whether finally Leonardo DiCaprio managed to reach his destiny or is stuck in his dream world wandering, making the climax the more appealing.Hats Off to the the man behind the movie.

Amazing Amazon

Not even in my wildest dreams i assumed that the meaning of "Amazon"(also the name of a e-shopping website) is "female warrior" or "telepathy".There are no explanations for such situations...we don't know how it happened so...I guess many of us have experienced these. It could be in the form of a dream...wherein you have already seen a place where you have never been...;in the form of certain scenes in life which you are sure you are reliving..and so on.

Telepathy happens when we are communicating indirectly..by some means which are not very certain to layman.I had this strange experience when i was about to call someone,i couldn't get the call..to my astonishment i found that at the same time the person was trying to call me...i don't know how we tried calling each other at the same time...may be telepathy...

Serenity

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" even the dictionary says so...During our trip to Duluth, a pure veg barbecue was planned(being pure Veggies) ,and it was a success;most importantly a whole new experience. We had sweet potato, bell pepper, onion, tomato, mushroom. It was yummy...

Stories....

Its true that every person has a story...and sometimes i cant assimilate a person to be associated with a particular story.Individuals are not what they seem to be...Each person has a unique story. There may be similarities, coincidences and all,but no two persons possess the same tale. These tales have a lot of characters, main ones ,insignificant ones, people who are not very significant but still play their roles and so on.In a lifetime an individual comes across thousands and thousands of such tales, not tales but life experiences...May be this is how God directs us to do certain things and help us take key decisions with ease.

The Banyan Tree

There are certain moments in life when we crave terribly for something which we never thought would be so much inseparable.Things which seemed to be just a part of us.I guess am going through that.
Few days back, during an evening walk,i happened to stand beneath a large banyan tree.It was a windy day and the leaves were dancing in a rhythm. For a moment i persuaded myself that am somewhere in front of a temple in my place.I could feel the peace of mind, happiness and what not.I didn't want to believe otherwise.I badly wanted to breath my place.Alas...as i looked down i had to embrace the reality, the realization that i am missing something terribly...but i don't know what.....

Change is the only thing that wont "change"...

"Thirakatha"

Hm mm i guess its time for me to write another movie review...Well i never planned to see this movie, but of course wanted to;after hearing some good comments from my friends. This one is about a Malayalam movie, the name of which means "screenplay".The movie is beautiful ,with a very strong storyline.i should admit the actress has done a marvellous job in contrast to her previuos performances.I guess i liked the film since this is one among the few films wherein the female role has actual significance and its all about her life. Moreover there something natural about the story and the characters.Anyways the film was worth watching.

Home sweet home....

Wherever you are ,whataever you be, its really great to be back home....
So true that when you possess something u dont understand its value...when we are at home with siblings and parents we dont understand how good the time is,,,,and its when we have to depart and go far from home we realise the true significance of all good times spent together....
But i guess this i how life is...small small things in life do matter...cos after all life is nothing but all these things put together.....

Nature at its best...

Well this is about my visit to a beach.
Every trip to a beach is simply awesome cos the very idea of playing with the waves is energising. There something special about this place...I think its the calmness. The beauty of the sky just before the sunset is awesome. Its something unexpressable through words. And of course it was accompanied by a cool breeze. There were hardly any people out there. It was an unforgettable evening.I felt like staying there for hours simply looking at the sky.....

I am the legend...

I must be really crazy to write about a movie that i saw long ago...at mysore
This was the first Will Smith film i ever saw.
Imagine a world where you are the only human being and almost the entire human race is extinct...thats what the movie describes...the expressions are so vivid and realistic that you doubt whether you are here or somewhere in that time frame. we imagine a life without expectaions ..never...evn though people say that i dont expect anything from anyone...we all do.
What i feel the basic reason behind this could be, is love and trust.when you like someone or love someone you automatically expect certain things from them even though u dont want to
but the bitter part of it is that most of the time things go against wat we expect....and lo we are done....but all are human beings, and hence we cant stop loving and hence expecting....

<guid so many people who have made a difference in my life.I have never given a thought about it before. We can call them role models but they have actually shown me the best way to live life to the fullest. The very thought of realizing this itself is a thanksgiving to them.
Its really strange and at the same time interesting to talk about ones self.It is at this moment that we have many strange realizations.Looking at a mirror at your own reflection is nothing but justifying your self or rather talking to your conscience.Understanding ones self is as important as anything else in life.

<guid
