Watching horrible cruelty towards “unwanted little cows”, which they called “waste”, gives me awkward moment. I am talking about dairy industry in New Zealand, whose products are exported to many Asian countries.

After watching that viral video, I have difficulty in drinking imported milk. It does not taste so good anymore when I sipped, drank, and swallowed the milk.

Animal cruelties are everywhere. Sadly to say. My heart bleed. The New Zealand so called authority has confirmed that the general farming industry in the country is not as bad as what people thinks.

Thankfully, I have some New Zealand good friends. One or two grew up in farm too. They love animals and confirmed that the video is not how the farming in New Zealand looks. But the point of industrial scale of milk producing reached the audience by this kind of provoking broadcast.

Will people slows down in consuming dairy products? I doubt it. Maybe it’s better to tackle the issue from the other side, tightening farming regulation and increase awareness of animal welfare.

Gosh, I recall when I was a kid. I visited a small village of my own. There, the farmers treated the cows and goats well. I got the chance to learn to milk them and see how the milk got boiled and served.

Fresh milk from this small sized industry tasted so good. I drank that while seeing the healthy and happy cows with their children.

Now, I wonder which dairy products I should consume. As an animal and Earth lover, this actually concerns me.

If you decide to buy cheaper products or services or not to buy something because you cannot afford it at the time, it is understandable. One should have priorities given their other needs. I somehow notice people who decide to rarely buy regardless their actual needs and capacity to afford some important things.

They see any expenses or extra expenses as losses, instead of an opportunity to contribute to economy, to help build others’ ventures or to simply build and strengthen social relationship.

And funnily, these people start a business! Or sell something. Hoping that others would buy. Do you think people like this would gain any success in selling? I do not think so. For example, if you do not like to buy (and collect glasses), it’s hardly to imagine that you will succeed in selling glasses.

I myself personally love and enjoy buying as much as I do selling. Both comes naturally for me. So my input and output so far is in balance. What about you?

Recently notice, LinkedIn offered me an automatic invitation by synchronizing all the contacts in my e-mail list and smartphone. Somehow, I thought that was a bad idea. But I also thought that it would be too exhausting to sort the contacts manually. So I was in a dilemma between pressing Proceed or Cancel.

I pressed Proceed, anyway. Since I am too tired to maintain this professional social media. Or… just too lazy, actually. Click!

And a couple minutes later….

My Dad: “What is LinkedIn?” he texted me.

My representative colleague in Italy messaged me on Facebook: “Hey, I received an invitation to connect on LinkedIn. Aren’t we connected already?”

My junior in college phoned me: “Bro, sorry, I don’t have LinkedIn account…”

My cheeky friend somewhere e-mailed me: “We are already connected, you know. Why did you invite me again? What about dinner invitation?” (it was added by a silly wink emoticon)

But those were not a problem. Until suddenly it the invitation also automatically went to my annoying ex-clients, my ex-girlfriend(s), my frenemies, the guy or girl I’ve been desperately avoiding in any ways… And whatnots. Shit. I wonder which button to press Cancel all this.

Such is digital age. So dilemmatic.
