There will be nothing left to be desired when this ensemble performs highlights of classical music. ‘Toccata and Fugue in d-minor’ by J.S. Bach, ‘O Fortuna’ from Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, the ‘Triumphal March’ from Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Aida: the five gentlemen know exactly how to give audiences goose pimples. With their sense of tone colour and sensitive work interpretations, the brass quintet always guarantees exceptional concerts.

‘The Bolero’ by Maurice Ravel suddenly sounds like an original composition for brass, and with ‘Susannata’ by Mulo Francel, the audience plunge into the mellow sound of smooth jazz.

Harmonic Brass tours the world unlike any other brass ensemble: Carnegie Hall, New York; Art Center, Seoul; Endler Hall, Stellenbosch; Gewandhaus Leipzig – these five gentlemen feel at home everywhere and present to their continuously increasing audience a great, brilliant brass sound.

These awards are based on votes from 213 000 travel professionals including travel agencies, tour and transport companies and tourism organisations in more than 160 countries. The World Travel Awards competition has been running for 19 years and is regarded as the “Oscars” of the travel business.

Elegant, spicy white pepper contributes to a dark fruit profile of ripe plum and crushed berries. Interesting notes of rosemary and biltong add to the appeal.

Palate:

Generous and broadly structured, with the aromas repeated on the palate. A soft grip of fine tannins adds complexity and good length – resulting in a journey as memorable as the R320!
