Meet The Mid, located in Chicago's meatpacking district in the West Loop, it meets somewhere in the middle of the city between Chicago's downtown and the neighborhoods within the city; somewhere in the middle of a live music venue and an upscale nightclub. The Mid seems to be in tune with live music and nightlife to give music lovers the ultimate concert experience.
The 801-person venue is located at 306 N. Halsted. Outside the doors of the club, the great views of the downtown skyline remind you of the wonderful city of Chicago. Inside The Mid, you will find three full service bars, ample room for dancing, cozy booths and table seating, and a VIP room equipped with its own bar and DJ booth. The lineup for Electric Daisy Carnival 2011 has started to take shape. One familiar face that will not be at this year's EDC is Kaskade. Kaskade made the announcement yesterday via Facebook stating, "I feel honored to have been a part of history by performing at EDC the last 2 years. EDC is the largest, most influential and best EDM festival in the world (imo). I get asked a lot here on facebook if I will be back, sadly I will not be there this year."
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway, located on the outskirts of Las Vegas, will undergo a unique transformation as the Electric Daisy Carnival comes to town! Insomniac will transform this unique location into a whimsical festival environment complete with six areas of music, carnival rides, vendor village, interactive art installations and an array of other festival attractions. Hernán became a DJ after being inspired by a collection of Chicago house records brought back from America by a friend, featuring artists such as Frankie Knuckles and Inner City. This music played a role in the music he now plays. Hernan describes the music he plays as deep, progressive, funky and tribal house.
In 1996, he won the residency at Clubland Pacha in Buenos Aires. His performances were a great success and led to Cattaneo being invited to DJ at clubs around Latin America.
