Heroes Reborn: Season 5 Coming to NBC for 2015 (Video)

Those who thought "Heroes" was dead on NBC, it appears that next year will be the year of "Heroes Reborn." The new Heroes Reborn show will be a 13-episode miniseries from original show creator Tim Kring. Unfortunately for diehard fans of the original show, there's a bit of a wait, as the show won't be released until 2015. A teaser video for the upcoming show aired during NBC's Olympics and now has fans of the original series buzzing on the internet.

Here's a look at that "Heroes Reborn" teaser trailer video from NBC:

NBC's hit show "Heroes" first started back in Sept. 2006 and ran through Feb. 2010 finishing after four seasons. The show, as covered on this weblog, focused on everyday citizens who came to discover they had unique powers. Among the popular characters on the show were Peter Petrelli, Hiro, Claire Bennet, Noah Bennet aka "HRG", Sylar, Ando, Mohinder Suresh and Matt Parkman. Many of the actors involved, notably Hayden Panettierre and Zachary Quinto, have been involved in major shows or movies (i.e. "Nashville" on ABC and "Star Trek" reboot movies).

One has to wonder if Tim Kring decided to bring this show in due to the seeming popularity of "Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." on ABC and all of the superhero movies and news of new shows like "Gotham." It seems the idea of superheros never seems to grow old, and now has a chance to be reborn from Tim Kring.

A few other points that many have mentioned:

It's unknown if the original cast members will be a part of the show, but they haven't ruled out original characters "popping in" for an episode or a few.
There will be a digital series online to help introduce the new characters and stories ahead of the miniseries.

Season 4: Episode 9: "Brother's Keeper"

Samuel tells Hiro he needs him to time travel and undo a wrong, from when Samuel killed Dr. Mohinder Suresh. Samuel says to retrieve the object Suresh has that belongs to him, and he'll give Hiro back Charlie.

The scene shifts to India nine weeks ago, where Dr. Mohinder Suresh is tutoring a student. Suresh's girlfriend shows up, and as she's cleaning up a closet area notices a box of Chandra Suresh's files. She chastises Mohinder for not getting rid of them. She says they have a simple life and he needs to let go of his past.

Tracy is in a diner in Washington staring at a poster ad for the carnival. The waitress asks if she's ok and Tracy remarks about how great it would be to just run away and join the carnival. Tracy's power accidentally goes awry and she freezes a mug until it breaks into pieces. The waitress gasps as Tracy flees the place.

Nathan and Peter arrive to his office where Nathan/Sylar is continuing to have an identity crisis. Nathan's assistant hands him a stack of files and says his calendar is cleared because Nathan took an extended vacation, that his mother told them about. Just then, The Haitian shows up. He tells Nathan not to come any closer. He says he needs to talk to Peter, then tells Peter he's there to tell him the truth.

Claire is bringing laundry back to her dad's place when she finds the door has been busted open, and sees ice particles all around the door and floor. She grabs a knife, as Tracy Strauss comes walking out. Tracy says she really needs to see HRG. Tracy says she can't control her power, as her hand and arm begins to freeze into ice.

Haitian tells Peter he was instructed to wipe out Peter and Nathan's memories by their mother, but he can't do it, because she's blinded by emotions. He gives Peter a business card with a number on the back, saying it's up to Peter to follow through if he wants to know the truth. He tells Peter it may be more terrible than he can imagine though.

Suresh is awake in bed with his girlfriend asleep, as he gets up to go look at the box of Chandra Suresh's work and files. He finds an old filmstrip marked "Samuel". He puts the movie reel on to see Chandra Suresh talking into a mic about a specific subject. Chandra is talking about increased seismic activity from a pregnant woman. The woman's name is cut out by noises. Chandra talks about how the birth of the child is causing even more seismic activity, as the whole room starts collapsing around him.

Claire helps Tracy get into a warm bath and makes her some tea. Tracy lays back and suddenly the water begins to freeze up all around her, so she jumps out of the bathtub. Claire tells Tracy to calm down. Claire touches Tracy and begins to freeze up as well. Claire becomes totally entombed in ice.

Peter goes to a storage box in Virginia. They open up the container to find a coffin. As Nathan opens it and peels the plastic back, he and Peter are shocked to see it's Nathan lying in the coffin. Nathan and Peter try to figure out why the Haitian wanted them to see this. Nathan/Sylar puts his hand on the forehead of the dead Nathan. He sees visions of Matt Parkman and Sylar. Nathan and Peter decide to head to LA to find Matt Parkman.

Tracy begins to drag the frozen Claire across the floor and pulls her right foot off by accident. Claire finally comes back alive to Tracy's surprise. Claire lets her know that healing is what she does and they get a good chuckle out of it as Claire puts her detached foot on the floor.

As Nathan and Peter are back at Nathan's office discussing what's going on, Nathan's assistant interrupts. She tells them she found Matt Parkman and it appears he tried to commit suicide by cops, handing a printout to Nathan. They see that Parkman is now in critical condition. Peter tells Nathan he has the ability to heal people now.

Back at the carnival, Samuel is telling Hiro the clock is ticking away. Hiro says he's trying. Samuel tells Hiro he has faith in him. Hiro looks at a map and is trying to teleport himself back nine weeks ago to India. Suresh is investigating more items from his dad's box of materials. Mohinder's girlfriend finds him asleep on a table with all sorts of items from his dad's box. His girlfriend is angry at him for acting crazy. He says he's made a new discovery regarding a compass. Suresh's girl says if he disappears again she won't be waiting for his return this time.

At Midland Hospital in Texas, Peter and Nathan see Matt Parkman in a hospital room. They sneak over and go into the room where Nathan closes the shade. Peter walks over and puts a hand on Parkman's chest to begin to revive his injuries. Matt comes to, but he appears crazy to Nathan and Peter as he begins telling them how Nathan was killed by Sylar. He says that he, Parkman, had to purge Sylar's memories to make it look like he was really Nathan. Meanwhile, the vision of Sylar is taunting Matt near his hospital bed. He swaps places with Parkman so that he's inside Parkman's body on the hospital bed, and he tells Nathan it's all true. Sylar says all Nathan needs to do is just take his hand and things will be back to normal.

Nathan is about to touch hands with Parkman/Sylar, but Peter says it doesn't make sense. Meanwhile the vision of Parkman is standing there trying to yell at Nathan not to do it. Nathan uses Sylar's telekinesis power to throw Peter against a wall, knocking him out. An officer rushes in telling Nathan to back away from the patient. In the scuffle, Nathan brushes hands with Parkman/Sylar and Sylar now is back in his body as Nathan. Sylar/Nathan picks up Peter and flees the hospital as Parkman is left in the hospital bed yelling.

It's now eight weeks ago, where Suresh has used the compass he created which has brought him to Sullivan Bros. Carnival. A man asks him if he can help him find something. Suresh meets Joseph Sullivan, who says he'll take him to meet his brother. Samuel comes stumbling out of a trailer with a beer in hand. Joseph introduced Samuel to Suresh, and makes up a story about why he's there. He sends Samuel away. Suresh angrily asks Joseph why he's trying to stop him from talking to Samuel and Joseph tells Suresh to come inside the trailer.

Matt Parkman has used his mind control powers to make a security guard bring him to a closet. He tells the guard that when he found him he was already dead and he took him (Parkman) to the morgue. He then says for the guard to give him all his clothes.

Nathan/Sylar and Peter have landed in the Grand Canyon. Nathan says they shouldn't be around people anymore. Nathan is questioning who he is and having Sylar getting into his head. Nathan tells Peter to find his way home. Peter grabs Nathan's arm to absorb whatever powers he has. Peter tells Nathan to go ahead, he'll be right behind him.

Joseph Sullivan informs Suresh that he's been watching over his brother Samuel for four years to make sure he's unaware of the powers and danger he's capable of. Suresh says Samuel has great potential and the powers could increase 10,000 fold. Joseph tells Suresh he's done just fine on his own and tells Suresh to leave at once. Suresh leaves the trailer, but Samuel is shown outside the trailer eavesdropping.

Suresh is in a hotel room and places a call to his girlfriend/wife saying she was right and his idea to pursue this lead was a big mistake. He's telling her on a voice mail he misses her and will catch the next plane home. He picks up the canister of film and prepares to dowse it in lighter fluid in the trash can. He lights a match and drops it, but just then time stops, and Hiro is there. Hiro replaces the reel of film with another one he has brought. He prepares to leave the room but stops to whisper in Suresh's ear. Hiro whispers to Suresh to be careful because "Evil butterfly man will be coming for you".

Claire and Tracy continue their girl-bonding session. Claire says it seems like Tracy's losing control of her powers is due to psychological issues. Tracy says it all started earlier in a diner how she was thinking of her whole live falling apart. Tracy tells Claire of how she met a strange man named Samuel. Claire says she met him too. Tracy says maybe she needs to start a new life. Claire says maybe her body is telling her that's what she wants. Tracy said it's nice to talk to someone. Claire said college seemed so great, but now she's wondering. HRG walks in and sees Claire and Tracy hanging out, with Claire's severed foot on the table. He asks how their day was.

Samuel bursts into the door where Suresh has lit a reel of film on fire. Samuel angrily demands Suresh to tell him what's on the film. Suresh said Joseph warned him about Samuel. Samuel said all these years his brother has betrayed him. Samuel says he will learn the truth. Samuel releases a handful of pebbles and rocks and tosses them right into Suresh's chest. Samuel gasps at what he's done thinking he killed Suresh, and rushes out of the room. Suresh is down on the floor but suddenly sits back up and realizes he has a bulletproof vest on. Hiro pops up behind him and says hello to his old friend.

Hiro informs Suresh he traveled back in time to save his life. Suresh realizes that he and Hiro can stop Samuel because he's extremely dangerous. Hiro says he needs to get Charlie back, but Suresh argues that their primary focus must be to stop Samuel. Hiro says if Suresh won't agree to disappear until he gets Charlie back safely, then Hiro will make Suresh disappear. He freezes time, then teleports Suresh away with him to somewhere.

Hiro arrives back to present day at the carnival where Samuel is enjoying dinner with other carnival people. He hands the reel of film to Samuel, and asks for him to give Charlie back. Samuel tells Hiro he'll give him Charlie back soon, then apologizes that Suresh had to die as he walks off with the film reel.

Suresh is shown strapped down in a straight jacket at Riverdale Psychiatric Hospital in Florida. Two staff workers come into the padded cell and give him an injection which puts Suresh to sleep.

Parkman is shown now disguised in his security guard outfit. He's on his cell phone calling his wife Janice to tell her that all the craziness with Sylar may now be over, because Sylar has transformed back into his old body. Matt says he thinks Sylar's out of the picture now because he got what he wanted.

Tracy is having a bite to eat at the diner, when Samuel walks in to meet with her. She says she's not sure what she's even doing there. She says she can't go on living her life like this any more. Samuel says he felt a real connection before. He says he has a way she can use her gifts to make this a better world for all people, and begins to convince her of his plan.

Nathan and Peter are still discussing the whole Sylar and Nathan situation. Nathan said Nathan must truly be dead. He says everytime Peter looks at him, he's going to see Sylar. Nathan asks him to tell him he's wrong, but Peter won't answer as he gives him a strange look. To be continued...

Season 4: Episode 8: "Shadowboxing"

Back in Virginia, the two sorority girls along with Claire and Gretchen are wondering why they saw what they saw: Claire get impaled by a metal rod and be perfectly fine. Claire and Gretchen pretended that the sorority must have drugged their water bottles and they're all seeing things. They decide to keep it a secret so the sisters won't know they get to them. Gretchen's upset that Rebecca just tried to kill her.

In New York, there's a train crash where Peter's helping a man on a stretcher in the back of an ambulance. Peter asks the man to wiggle his toes but he can't. Peter uses his brand new power to revive the man to full health. As they wheel the man in, Peter's partner remarks how this is the 4th patient today who was better than they thought. Peter spots Emma standing in the hospital as they walk past.

Matt Parkman arrives in the Los Angeles airport, but it's really Sylar inside of his body controlling his mind. Matt Parkman's image is walking along with him pleading with Sylar to give his body back. Sylar tells Parkman is they're going to New York to find out what happened to his body from Peter Petrelli. As he puts his luggage down on the security conveyor belt, it triggers the alarms as there's a gun in the bag. Security officers quickly surround Parkman/Sylar and draw their guns. Sylar is asking Parkman's image who is along with him what's going on. The officers pounce on Parkman/Sylar and cuff him. The image of Parkman tells Sylar he might have control of his body but will never control his ability. The security guards drag Sylar away as he's yelling "I'm a cop, I'm a cop!".

Back at Sullivan Brothers carnival, the real Sylar's body which believes he's Nathan is asleep inside a carnival bus. He begins having dreams about Nathan and transforms his body into Nathan's. He wakes up and sees himself in the mirror as Nathan, shockingly. He gets out and starts to walk around, until Lydia and Samuel come out talking. Sylar as Nathan is able to fly up into the air. Samuel tells Lydia he has to go handle some business which she calls a lost cause.

Meanwhile, Claire & Gretchen are researching Rebecca Taylor on the internet. Claire says she'll go to Becky's room at the Sorority house. Gretchen is scared Becky might try to kill her again, so Claire offers up ideas to make her visible including a powder spray. Gretchen says she'll go along with Claire, but Claire says no and not to let anyone in the room until she returns.

Emma is standing back watching the frantic hospital scene as they try to help the victims from the NY train crash. A doctor hands off a patient to Emma and asks her to keep pressure on a wound. The woman is bleeding from her leg. Emma picks up a wound stitch kit with scissors that happens to be on the ground. Peter sees her working with it, then a patient in critical condition comes through. Pether works his power once again to save them. Peter becomes sick and exhausted after doing so.

Claire goes to the sorority house and asks if they've seen Rebecca since she kidnapped them. The sorority girls have no idea about it. The girls laugh about it and walk off, and then Claire sees the Haitian walk in, apparently having erased her memory. She turns to see her dad HRG. He says when his daughter calls he drops everything.

Sylar is driving along and the rental car gets a flat tire. Parkman begins to taunt him saying they spent 4 hours at the airport. Sylar's unable to fix the tire. A tow truck pulls up so the man Hank comes up to offer some assistance. As Sylar walks to get him a tire iron, Parkman uses his ability to make himself trip. Sylar gets in the image of Parkman's face. Parkman asks if Sylar's going to kill him. He says no, and then walks over to kill Hank the tow truck guy with the tire iron. Parkman yells at him saying he just killed a man, but Sylar says "no you did".

HRG and Haitian walk upstairs to investigate Becky's room. HRG says he'll check it out. He says Haitian will go with Claire's dorm to stay with she and Gretchen so if Rebecca shows up her power won't work.

Sylar tells Parkman he can cross a line he can't by killing whoever he wants to. Sylar tells Parkman he's in control now and gets Matt to say he understands.

Emma finds Peter hunched over in a hallway of the hospital and asks what's wrong. He tells her he's fine, but too many people need help. Peter says the power drains out of him and then drains out again. Emma suggests not to use it anymore. Peter says he has to get back in there to help. Peter asks Emma where she learned to do the stitching of wounds and she tells him she dropped out of medical school.

Claire finds Gretchen packing her stuff up. Claire tells Gretchen not to go. She introduces her to Renee, the Haitian. Gretchen says she already booked her flight to get away. Gretchen tells Claire she's just not like her and leaves. Claire asks Haitian to stay around Gretchen til she boards the plane. Claire starts crying as a knock comes at the door. It's Samuel from Sullivan Brothers Carnival. He tells Claire he's looking for his neice Rebecca. Claire's confused, but Samuel says he knows about her being special. Claire asks why she should trust him. Samuel asks Claire to listen to what he has to say because he has answers.

HRG is searching Rebecca's room when she shows up invisible. He finds a compass, then hears the door shut. He draws a electric stun gun and begins talking, saying he doesn't want to have to use this on her. Becky appears.

In Midland, Texas Sylar/Parkman is at the diner Charlie worked at. He orders a Coke while flirting with the waitress Lynette. Sylar tells Parkman he tried to kill a waitress there before. He tells Parkman as his hostage he wants him to start talking. Sylar asks how he ended up in Parkman's head and where his body is. Matt says no, so Sylar begins talking about killing Lynette. Parkman finally gives in and says he'll tell Sylar what he wants to know.

Samuel tells Claire his story about his ability and the fact that he can move the Earth. He then mentions that Rebecca is upset because of someone else who murdered her father. Meanwhile, HRG is still holding his stun gun aimed at Rebecca. She asks if he doesn't remember her, then says he probably never saw her. A black and white flashback is shown from when Rebecca was 5. HRG came to her home and tried to take her father away. Her father started using his power and HRG fired shots at him, killing him.

Samuel tells Claire the same story saying HRG shot first, asked questions later, all because they were different. Rebecca said she hid under her bed and wished HRG wouldn't find her. She said he didn't see her so her wish came true, but that she couldn't wish her father back or save him. Rebecca tells HRG she will take away all the dreams HRG had for Claire, just like HRG did to her. HRG says he owns up to the killing, but he won't allow Becky to hurt his daughter. Becky says she'll hurt both of them. Just then 2 of the sorority sisters enter the room. Becky vanishes, so HRG says he was looking for someone who isn't there any more.

Samuel says he's sorry about what happened to her 2 roommates. Samuel keeps working to manipulate Claire's mind. Samuel tells Claire he surrounded himself with people who are like her by definition. Samuel says he wanted to come to Claire and not her father, because they know what he would do in the situation. Just then, HRG enters the room and pulls his gun on Samuel asking "tell me, what would Bennet do?"

Claire informs HRG that the man said he was Becky's uncle. Samuel realizes that Claire was just stalling him until HRG got there. She said she'd never trust him over her dad. HRG asks for answers about the compass. Samuel says in the wrong hands it could be trouble for his family. He tells HRG they are trying to stay hidden from people like him who does harm to them. He says he just wants to find Rebecca and get her some help.

Back at the NYC hospital, Emma finds a little girl laying on the floor in a storage closet. She yells for help and Peter hears her. He rushes in, she says she can handle this. Peter grabs the necessary medical kit and Emma gives the girl a shot which revives her. Emma's pleased that she did it.

HRG has Samuel cuffed to be taken in. As he's loading him into the back of an SUV, Rebecca shows up, invisible. She pushes Claire down, then slams the door on HRG. He grabs his stun gun but she punches him down. She goes after Claire, so HRG grabs his stun gun and blasts Rebecca down. Claire yells for HRG not to shoot. She rushes towards him and he shoves her down to keep his gun aimed at Samuel and Becky. Claire yells for him not to do it, and they leave. Claire is a bit shaken and upset at HRG for shoving him.

Matt finishes up explaining what happened to Sylar's body. Sylar probes more to realize that Angela Petrelli and HRG were also in on the plan to transfer Nathan's memory and mind into Sylar's in a shapeshifter's body. Sylar finishes up his meal at the diner and throws a napkin down on the plate as the waitress Lynette takes it away. The napkin has written on it "I have a gun and I'm gonna kill everyone in here". As Sylar/Parkman exit the diner, cop cars pull up and officers get out with their weapons drawn. Parkman says he's crossing the line since Sylar thought he wasn't man enough to take a life. Sylar says he'll die with him and Parkman says he knows. He reaches into his coat pocket as if to draw a gun, and the cops fire away into his chest. Sylar as Parkman slumps to the ground. The image of Parkman vanishes.

Claire returns to her dorm with HRG following behind. HRG apologizes again for pushing her. She walks into her room and sees Gretchen's empty bed. HRG tells Claire she deserves to have everything because she deserves it, education, social life and everything. Claire says sometimes life isn't that simple and wishes HRG good night.

Emma is playing the piano again as colors fly up into the air. Peter comes into the room and sees a picture of a boy on the piano. Emma says it's her nephew Christopher who drowned while Emma was babysitting him. She says she was distracted and didn't hear him yelling for help. This happened before her second year of residency, so she dropped out of med school. Peter pulls a tiarra out of his bag and says the girl they saved, Megan, wanted Emma to have it, because it's only for special people. Emma says she couldn't save her nephew, but Peter says "you saved her". Emma thanks Peter for saving her. Peter asks Emma if she's going to go back to school. She plays the piano and Peter says he can't see the colors anymore. They start to play together anyway.

Episode 8 closes with the following brief scenes:

A paramedics team has Parkman/Sylar on a stretcher and is trying to jumpstart him back to life with electric voltage. Claire's asleep in her room when she wakes up to again see her roommate's bed is empty. Emma finds her old hospital uniform with her doctor name monogrammed on it.

Samuel and Becky are back at the carnival with Becky apologizing for fouling things up. Samuel reminds her that she will still get her revenge and Claire seems to be right where they want her. Lydia finds Samuel and says Sylar is missing.

HRG is examining various newspaper clippings about incidents that he believes Samuel was invovled in.

Peter is taking down all the newspaper clippings of accident scenes that he was part of the team on. He tosses them all out, then gets a knock at the door. Peter gets a knock at the door and it's Nathan. He is upset but hugs Peter and tells him he thinks he's in trouble. To be continued...

Hiro arrives back in time three years ago to Texas at the diner where Charlie works. Hiro's still in hospital gown so he goes to a nearby clothesline to steal some clothes. A little boy has fake cowboy guns to aim at him saying he's stealing his dad's clothes. Hiro tells him the story of how he's there to save the love of his life, Charlie. A flashback is shown to the previous times Hiro met Charlie and tried to save her life but couldn't. Hiro says no matter how hard he tried, Sylar always killed her. Hiro says this time he'll defeat the brain man (Sylar). Hiro says he will make sure the brain man doesn't hurt anyone. The kid tells him good guys wear white hats, and hands Hiro his cowboy hat. He says bad guys wear black hats, and just then Sylar walks up to the diner. Hiro stands in front of the kid to protect him and Sylar, not knowing who Hiro is yet, asks him to move.

Back in present day, Lydia and Samuel are there. Samuel says Arnold's dying and it might be tonight. Samuel says he needs Hiro Nakamura now so he can fix the past. Samuel says he's unsure how he'll convince Hiro to help though. Lydia tells him desperate times, desperate measures. Samuel pulls out the ink stick to get a tattoo off Lydia's back. Her back reveals the image of Charlie and she tells Samuel Hiro's in love but the girl died three years ago. Samuel says that's an opportunity. Lydia tells him there's more. Samuel puts more ink on her back and it shows images of HRG linked to Claire who is linked to Sylar. Samuel says he'll have Arnold help him get back there.

Charlie serves Sylar coffee. During their exchange, Sylar learns of Charlie's super memory power and is amazed by it as he quizzes her on all sorts of facts. Hiro is hiding behind a newspaper nearby. Sylar asks if her gift is due to the blood clot in her brain. Charlie asks how he knew that and Sylar says it's his gift to know how things work. Hiro oversees this. Samuel appears right next to Hiro, who immediately know him as the man from the carnival. Samuel leads Hiro away saying they need to talk.

HRG is also in the diner and on the phone. A blond woman comes up to sit down at the table with him. He says to her he can't tell Claire he's missing homecoming due to having to track a serial killer. HRG says it's good to have a friend to talk to. The woman asks if he considers it two friends talking. The woman says it's flirting because they've been having breakfast twice a week for months now, miles out of town. The woman tells him they can talk about anything, but pulls out a key for him saying she booked a hotel room. HRG gets a call that someone has found the Sylar paintings. He leaves and walks out past Sylar, just as Sylar uses telekinesis to get his coffee cup closer.

Samuel is in a back room talking to Hiro. He asks why Hiro is trying to save Charlie. Hiro says it's because he told him he could right wrongs if he stepped on the right butterflies. He says this is like Mothra. Samuel says he's there to make sure Hiro understands what could happen if he makes the slightest mishap. He says a lot of people could be affected by this one move and asks if Charlie's worth it. Hiro says yes.

Charlie is in the back room opening a can. She notices a sound, but doesn't see anything. Sylar is shown hiding behind a shelf. He goes to use his buzzsaw power to cut into her skull, but just then time stops. Hiro enters and sees Charlie frozen, smiles, then turns around to face Sylar.

Hiro duct tapes Sylar to a dolly cart, then wheels him out of the diner. He spots a nearby bus, and opens the baggage compartment underneath. He shoves Sylar in there saying that he will go on his own path, and Peter Petrelli will stop him. Hiro says he and Charlie will live happily ever after.

Hiro returns to the diner and fixes his hair. He looks at Charlie still frozen, then realizes if she doesn't die, he never goes back in time to fall in love with the princess, and the world blows up. Hiro walks out and notices he's not in the picture on a bulletin board that had Charlie in it. Hiro goes and finds his other self in the diner, and unfreezes time to talk to him as Future Hiro. Present Hiro asks the future version where his sword is. Hiro informs present day Hiro he must save Charlie by going back six months in time. He says if he doesn't they won't be having this conversation today. Present day Hiro warps back in time, and almost instantly Future Hiro sees himself appear in the photograph.

Meanwhile, HRG arrives back to Primatech. Eden is there and she brings HRG to visit with Isaac Mendez about the paintings he did. He says the girl in the paintings is his daughter. HRG says he needs Isaac's help. He tells him about how he and his wife were given a daughter when they had trouble conceiving a child. HRG goes to a room by himself and kicks a nearby trash can. The blond agent from before comes in and tells him she heard everything, and they'll handle this. She starts to kiss HRG, then pulls away. She tells HRG homecoming is over 37 hours away. She puts a hand on his forehead and says she's going to Haitian him. HRG says not to because he doesn't want to forget.

Back to the diner, Future Hiro is having brain issues as he puts his hand on his forehead. Samuel comes over to ask if he's ok. Hiro says yes and shows him the picture. Samuel reminds him he still has to have someone go over and talk to Ando who's sitting in a booth, expecting the previous Hiro to return. Ando asks about his different clothes. Hiro says he is future Hiro and shows him the photo of he and Charlie. Hiro tells Ando to wait for the other Hiro to get back. Hiro then rushes back to greet Charlie in the back room. He hugs her ecstatically. She asks what's gotten into him and he says he's going to take her to wherever she wants to go. He says he doesn't want to be apart for another minute. Charlie says they can go to Otsu, Japan, where Takezo Kenzei was born. Charlie starts spitting out all sorts of facts about Otsu at rapid fire pace, and then catches herself. She holds her head and seems woozy. Hiro helps her sit down. Charlie says its her aneurysm rupturing and tells Hiro she's dying. Hiro says not yet she's not.

Hiro goes back out to the bus, waits for the driver to step off for a second and quickly opens the luggage area. He finds that Sylar is now missing. Just then, Hiro is thrown up against the bus face first. Sylar appears behind him, using telekinesis. He spins Hiro around and asks who he is and what he did to him. Hiro tells Sylar he heard that he can fix things and says Charlie is dying. Sylar tells Hiro he's going to die first. He puts his finger up and prepares to buzzsaw him, but Hiro freezes time, and drops down from the side of the bus.

Hiro unfreezes time and starts to taunt Sylar. He says he can't defeat him because he's the master of time and space. Hiro continues to freeze time each time Sylar goes to buzzsaw his brain to steal his power. Unfortunately, Hiro gets woozier after each time due to his medical problem. Hiro tells Sylar if he kills him he won't learn all he knows about his future. Sylar says Hiro is lying and he's going to be invincible after he goes to kill the cheerleader. Hiro asks if he's sure about that. He promises to tell Sylar all he knows if he helps him save Charlie. Sylar asks if Hiro's dying too, and then says it's a tumor. As they're conversing, they see a group of cheerleaders rush past the alleyway on the way to homecoming.

Sylar and Hiro go back into the diner together to the backroom. An older woman is with Charlie and asks who the other guy is. Hiro says it's a doctor. Hiro says they can help her. The older woman leaves. Sylar jokes about how he doesn't mind going into Charlie's brain. Hiro warns him if Charlie dies, then so will he. Charlie tells Hiro if she dies she's ok with it, if it's her time. Hiro professes his love again, as Sylar is pacing behind him eyeing them both. Sylar begins to do his thing as Charlie says she is scared. Hiro tells her a story of someone in ancient Japan to calm her nerves. Just then Sylar makes a gesture and gets rid of the tumor.

The scene shifts to the cheerleaders yelling The scene shifts to the cheerleaders yelling cheers about their team. HRG is there and Claire runs over to him. They grab drinks to hang out. Claire asks HRG if things are ok with his job selling paper. He says he likes it a lot. HRG says growing up he wanted to teach high school English and Shakespeare. He recites part of a Shakespeare Midsummer Night's Dream. Claire calls HRG a "drama geek" and suggests maybe he should become a teacher. HRG says he doesn't think that will happen. Claire gets called over by her other cheerleaders so she leaves on the bus. HRG takes out the room key and looks at it, contemplating things.

In the back of the diner, Sylar walks in eating some food. He tells Hiro to honor the deal now and tell him the future. Hiro says Sylar collects a lot of powers, but becomes nothing. Hiro says nobody will mourn his death and he will die alone. Hiro says everyone comes together to stop Sylar. Hiro says now he must go on his path. He teleports Hiro out of the diner, and Hiro gets on a scooter. He unfreezes time and drives away, leaving Sylar behind. Sylar hears the cheerleader's and picks up his hat which fell off. He puts his hat on and gets an evil grin on his face.

HRG goes to the hotel room where his blond agent coworker is. She's having a drink and pours one for him. They both talk at once, with HRG saying he can't do this due to their job. She tells him that's not a good excuse. She tells HRG he cares about her, so this isn't some random romp in the supply closet at work. HRG admits he cares about her. The woman says they are such good liars about all the stuff they've been doing together. She asks if HRG wants a bit of happiness, and to be himself. He sits down on the bed with her, and says he loves his family. He says as much as he lies to them and it's complicated, he still loves them. HRG says he doesn't want to destroy the possibility of eventually telling them the truth. HRG calls her a great agent, then finally says her name, Lauren. He says he needs her help with the Sylar case and with Claire. She says of course, she'll always be there to help him. They decide to go back to work.

Back to the diner, Ando sees future Hiro looking into the diner from the outside window. Ando asks if things are ok, and Hiro says yes, then tells him to go back in and wait for the other Hiro. Charlie comes walking out to tell Hiro she feels like she's cheating things by still being alive. Charlie asks Hiro why he's going to let Sylar kill a lot of people. Hiro said he had to keep the time-space continuum as it was. Charlie asked Hiro why she needs to live when so many people die each day. Hiro says because he loves her. Charlie tells him that's selfish of him.

HRG is at a table in the break room at Primatech, when the blond agent Lauren comes in. She says someone left him a small manila envelope. He opens it to find a room key and a note saying "I've gone Haitian, it'll be best that way, Lauren". HRG realizes she erased her memory to prevent any future problems from coming up.

Hiro goes back to the diner to order a root beer. He says in Japanese "it's over". HRG happens to be sitting next to him and speaks Japanese to him, asking if he knows him. Hiro mutters "not yet" in Japanese. HRG asks if everything is ok. Hiro says he may have ruined his chance at finding true love. HRG tells him it's a messy business, and that true love's course never did run smooth. HRG bids him good night and leaves, just as Charlie comes back in. Charlie says she was awful to him earlier. Hiro says he understands what she thinks about him being selfish. Hiro says the world is a better place with her in it. Charlie thanks him for saving her life. She hands him a piece of origami paper saying she was trying to make 1,000 cranes. She tells Hiro in Japanese she loves him and wants their happy ending also. They kiss and then leave the diner to go off on their journey.

As Hiro follows Charlie outside he's busy looking at the origami she made. He says something to her, but then looks up to see Samuel standing there. Samuel says he's taken Charlie. Hiro becomes upset asking where she is. Samuel said he brought her to his carnival at present day's time. Hiro grabs him asking him to take them to Charlie now. Samuel says Hiro needs to dig deep and seize control of his power again. Hiro angrily shoves Samuel forward and they teleport to present day at the carnival.

Samuel then confesses Charlie isn't actually there. Suddenly, various other carnival people surround them. Hiro starts to ask them each where Charlie is, until he notices her diner name badge down on the ground. He runs towards a nearby RV, and inside finds someone under a blanket. Samuel tells Hiro that's Arnold, a fellow time traveler who couldn't take the strain anymore. He said he had a bad tumor also. Samuel says last thing he did was to ask Arnold to trap Charlie somewhere in time, then he died. Hiro demanded Samuel to tell him where Charlie is. Samuel said he had to manipulate Hiro so he could help him fix his past. Hiro realizes Samuel is an evil man. Samuel tosses him Charlie's name badge and says he's the only one who can help him save Charlie. Samuel says he has his own butterflies to crush. Hiro looks at the name badge and asks what he has to do. Samuel says he made a mistake 8 weeks ago.

Time flashes back eigh weeks to show Samuel, who is upset and keeps saying "I'm sorry". There'a fire in the room, and then a dead body on the floor. The face is eventually revealed and it appears to be Mohinder Suresh...To be continued...

Season 4: Episode 6: "Strange Attractors"

The episode opens in Los Angeles where Matt Parkman is having a bad dream that Sylar is having sex with his wife Janice. As Matt wakes up next to his wife, he sees Sylar sitting in a chair eating an apple. Sylar takes a bite from an apple calling it "forbidden fruit", his favorite kind.

In Cainan, GA Noah Bennet is speaking to a police officer about not locking up Jeremy for the death of his parents. The cop says it's not the first time that Jeremy's caused problems in the town. He says he's not releasing Jeremy to anyone who isn't kin, which includes HRG. Noah calls someone on his cell to ask for help. Tracy Strauss meets him in her sports car. HRG briefs her on Jeremy's situation. HRG tells Tracy to go in as his aunt and sign him out. She finally agrees to do it.

At Arlington University in VA, Claire is awake in her dorm room, as is Gretchen. Claire tells Gretchen they need to talk about her crush and the kiss. Claire tells Gretchen she's a good kisser, but she doesn't want to mess up her new ordinary life. Claire says Gretchen's the first real friend she's had since Texas, and she likes her a lot. Just then, some hooded individuals burst into their dorm room and grab Gretchen and Claire. Claire fights a few of them off, until one pulls her hood off. It's Rebecca, who tells Claire this is a sorority initiation kidnapping. Claire apologizes and Rebecca throws a dark hood over Claire's eyes.

Claire and Gretchen end up in the trunk of a car, tied up. Gretchen makes a comment about it, as the car hits a bump and they nearly kiss again. Gretchen asks Claire about if she likes her in "that way" and Claire says she doesn't know. The car stops and trunk opens, with Rebecca welcoming them to Hell Week. Claire and Gretchen end up with 2 other girls in hoods who are being initiated in the basement of some dark place. The sisters tell them they will be doing a treasure hunt.

Tracy visits Jeremy telling him he's her aunt. Tracy says she'll sign him out, but Jeremy says signing him out might not be such a good idea because he's a murderer. Tracy discusses her power and how it went awry when negative emotions overcame her. The cops tell HRG they have evidence that Jeremy is a killer, showing him notes from a notebook about being a murderer. They say they'll continue to hold him until otherwise. Tracy calls someone to ask for a favor to get Jeremy released. She runs into Samuel from the carnival. He asks her what she'll do when she gets Jeremy released. He turns the surroundings into the carnival, and tells her it's home and he's a friend.

Sylar continues to get inside Parkman's head, taunting him by talking about having sex with his wife. Parkman goes to punch Sylar but he's not there and Parkman punches a wall.

Claire and the girls embark on their search in the dark dwelling they were brought to. Gretchen finds a clue written on the wall above some lockers. One of the others opens a locker as Gretchen tells her to wait. The girl's face gets sprayed with fake blood. Claire tells someone to open locker 24, because the clue refers to "when we were founded" and the founding year was 1924 for the sorority. Inside the locker are two bottled waters. The other 2 girls decide to team up and work against Claire and Gretchen.

Claire and Gretchen descend to a lower level in the dark place. Claire starts to ask Gretchen about how long she's liked girls. Gretchen says she's had more boyfriends than girlfriends. Gretchen finds out Claire's a virgin and says maybe they're "strange attractors", particles that end up together but don't belong together. Claire saves Gretchen as she notices a huge chain swinging towards her. Claire suggests that maybe this isn't a game.

Samuel takes Tracy on a tour of the carnival. He says Jeremy could be surrounded by true family there. He talks to her about how she tapped into something greater than herself with her ability. Samuel says all of them are connected. Samuel says Jeremy is valuable since he can work miracles and needs a true home. Tracy asks Samuel to take her back now. Sylar oversees Samuel talking to Tracy. Lydia comes up to Samuel, as he hands Tracy a compass. He says if she ever wants to return to the carnival to use the compass. Lydia takes her back, as Sylar walks up and tells Samuel he remembers helping her at one point. Sylar says she was sad and he was flying with her in his arms. Samuel tells him he's having memories which aren't really his. Sylar asks who's they are and where he really is.

Janice walks in to find Matt packing a bag. She asks where he's headed and he tells her someone else is able to control his body, so it's not safe for her and the child. Janice says Matt always does this. He tells her it's dangerous if he's there. Sylar keeps showing up to invade Matt's thoughts as he's talking. Janice tells Matt it's better if she and the baby leave, while Matt stays at the home. Matt tells her not to tell him where they're going, so Sylar won't hear. Janice agrees and goes to pack. Sylar tells Matt that was a smart move but he still hasn't figured out how to get rid of him.

Parkman makes a call to Mohinder Suresh asking him to call him back as soon as he can. Sylar shows up again asking Matt how Suresh is going to help him. Sylar says it's time to give back his body. Sylar starts to have trouble with his controlling routine when Matt's drinking alcohol. Matt drinks some hard liquor and Sylar begins to cough. Matt thinks he's finally found a way to stop Sylar's mind games.

Tracy and HRG go in to bring Jeremy out. HRG says his new identity is Jarod Mitchell and he'll live a few apartments down from him, while attending Georgetown High School. He says Tracy will help him learn to control his ability. As HRG and Tracy escort Jeremy outside the police department, there's a crowd of people out there. One man comes up and grabs Jeremy calling him a murderer. Jeremy's ability goes haywire and the man starts to bleed out of his nose, then falls to the ground. HRG pleads with Jeremy to use his ability to heal the man, but instead the police officers take Jeremy back into the station. HRG and Tracy go back in. Tracy asks to talk to him again. The main sheriff says both of them are through talking to him anymore. Meanwhile, two of the other officers have taken Jeremy off on their own. One ties a chain around Jeremy's legs with the other end tied to the back of a pickup truck. The bald officers goes up and tells Jeremy to take his best shot. Jeremy starts shaking with fear but doesn't do anything. He beings to tear up. The man tells him he's not normal and doesn't belong there. Just then the pickup truck takes off.

Claire and Gretchen continue to search around. Claire suggests that someone might be trying to kill Gretchen, and that it might be another person with abilities. Claire talks about the fact her first roommate committed suicide and how Gretchen was nearly gutted. They hear and see something move nearby. As they go to investigate with a flashlight, the other two girls burst into the room. Claire tells them they don't really want the treasure, so they'll stick together and just get out of there.

Parkman continues getting drunk off shots of alcohol to try to get rid of Sylar. Sylar keeps trying to taunt him by talking about having sex with his wife. Matt tells Sylar when he's gone, Janice and he will have a beautiful life. Sylar tells Matt he's too desperate to fit in and needs to accept his power. Matt sees the Sylar vision start to disappear and realizes Sylar is afraid of dying. The vision of Sylar passes out then disappears completely as Matt drinks some more. Just then, Janice comes in along with Matt's police partner. Matt tells Janice "I did it" as he holds up a bottle and then falls to the floor.

Claire and the rest of the new sorority girls keep searching and eventually find a room where a pink teddy bear is hanging on a meat hook. Gretchen says she'll go get the other girls. Before she goes, she tells Claire she shouldn't have gotten all "relationshipy on her". Claire tells Gretchen she needs her in her life right now, to help keep things somewhat normal. Just then, Claire notices other meat hooks moving behind Gretchen as if someone is there. All of a sudden, a hook wraps around Gretchen's throat. Claire runs up to help but gets punched down by invisible Rebecca. Claire picks up a piece of wood and uses it to swing towards where she is and knocks her off, releasing Gretchen from being choked. Claire looks around, and suddenly is thrust up against a hook on the wall. She grabs a nearby weapon and swings it into Rebecca, causing her to become visible and fall to the floor. The other two girls come in to see Rebecca on the floor and Claire impaled. Rebecca turns invisible and runs off. Gretchen helps Claire off the hook on the wall and the other two girls are amazed by it all.

Tracy and HRG are driving at night down the road when they see Jeremy's body on the road all bruised and beaten up. Tracy starts to cry as HRG says they could have saved him. Tracy says he needed a real home. HRG apologizes to her for what happened. HRG says he thought he could manage it. Tracy says they let Jeremy down. HRG says he thought he did what was right but was wrong. Tracy tells HRG to never call her again, then gets in her car. She takes out the compass she was given and it points in a direction.

Parkman wakes up to see Janice standing there with his partner. Matt notices that Sylar isn't around. His partner hands him a sobriety medal and says he needs to start over again from the beginning. Matt thanks both of them. He tells his wife he's going to take a shower. As he goes into the next room, it's no longer Parkman we see walking but Sylar, tossing an apple up in the air. Sylar has taken over Matt's body now, and goes into the next room to tell Matt he's in the driver seat now. Janice oversees Matt through a clear door tossing an apple up and chuckling to himself.

Samuel goes out to the town where Jeremy was murdered and sees the police department. He angrily uses his power to cause the police department to begin to crumble to the ground as if it was blown to pieces. To be continued...

Season 4: Episode 5: "Tabula Rosa"

The fifth episode of Heroes "Redemption" is called Tabula Rosa which is Latin for "blank slate. The focus is on Sylar regaining his true memories, Hiro showing Emma how her ability works, and HRG traveling with Peter to locate a healer, so Peter can save Hiro's life.

At the carnival, Samuel talks with Claudia about Sylar. She says it's like he has two sides inside him at war with each other. Samuel goes to the small cart where Sylar is staying and starts to show him around the carnival. He talks to Sylar about finding out who he really is, and then moving on from that. He tells Sylar he's safe with them. He also introduces him to Claudia, who Sylar takes a liking to. Edgar, the fast knife wielder, oversees this and gets in Sylar's face. He tosses some knives his way so Sylar gets the idea of his power. Sylar accidentally uses telekinesis to fling the knives back towards Edgar. Samuel introduces Sylar to Damien, a man who can help him regain his true memories. Samuel also invites Captain Lubbock to the carnival, from the police squad who was pursuing Sylar through the woods.

Damien takes Sylar into the House of Mirrors where he puts his hands on his head to help Sylar regain his old memories. He begins to see all sorts of bad memories in the mirrors, including murdering his own mother, and various other people with abilities. Sylar screams for them to make it stop, then finally stumbles out of the House of Mirrors. Samuel finds him and tells Sylar that Captain Lubbock is at the carnival. He suggests Sylar puts everyone there in danger by being around. He tells Sylar to go to the House of Mirrors where he saw Lubbock go. Sylar goes in, and immediately the detective pulls his gun. Sylar warns him to leave before it gets ugly. He then brings back his electricity power and electrocutes the officer, right before he freezes a bullet in the air that Lubbock shot at him. Lubbock stands up and asks what Sylar is. Sylar is about to answer, but Edgar enters and slashes Lubbock up with his blades, then tells Sylar to go get a mop. Later, Edgar tells Samuel Sylar is useless to them if he can't kill. Samuel says they'll make a newer, stronger Sylar and he'll be all theirs. Meanwhile, a huge celebration is held after Sylar receives his baptism by Samuel to become the newest member of the carnival family.

Meanwhile, Peter has brought Hiro to the hospital where he informs him he's dying. Hiro says he knows, and reveals to Peter that he's been helping people fix wrongs now. He says maybe he was brought to Peter to help him. Peter suggests that maybe he's supposed to help Hiro instead. He touches Hiro's hand long enough to absorb his power. Peter bumps into Emma in the hallway and tells her he can't discuss her ability now, but that Hiro will tell her all about them. Peter teleports away, leaving Emma to go talk to Hiro.

Peter teleports over to see HRG and Claire. He tells them the story of how Hiro is dying and he needs to find a way to help. HRG looks up info on a case he worked before involving a boy named Jeremy who had the ability to heal. Peter and HRG determine he is in Georgia, and teleport off together to find the kid. When they arrive at the home in GA, everything that was once living is now dead around the exterior of the house. Upon entering, they discover two adults are dead in their chairs. Soon after, someone fires rifle shots at them from upstairs. It turns out to be Jeremy. HRG says he'll go talk to him, and sends Peter to the back staircase. Jeremy warns HRG that anyone he touches dies. HRG continues to tell him that he knows his powers, and they include the ability to heal as well. Jeremy doubts him, and keeps his rifle aimed at HRG. Peter teleports in the way, just as Jeremy fires a shot. Peter seems to stop time, but then realizes he didn't stop it in time, as the bullet has gone through him. Peter falls to the ground with blood all over him. HRG rushes to check on him and realizes Peter won't make it to a hospital. He convinces Jeremy to focus on his abilities and heal Peter. Jeremy is able to do so and Peter comes back to life. Peter now has Jeremy's power and Noah tells him to drive back to an airfield to catch a special flight back to save Hiro. HRG stays with Jeremy and tells him he made it look like a carbon manoxide accident. Noah agrees to stay with Jeremy until he's ok.

Back at the hospital, Hiro and Emma talk about abilities. Emma is asking how to turn hers off because she doesn't like it. Hiro tells her powers are a beautiful thing when used for good. He sees a flyer for a staff talent show for kids in the hospital. Hiro decides to go and perform magic tricks for the kids as "Hiro the Magnificent". Emma sees it and goes to watch. Hiro says he'll make her disappear for his next trick. He puts a white sheet in front of her and then with the audience mesmerized, he freezes time. Emma is able to see everyone stopped, and she can also see the colors of their noises in the air, also frozen. She walks around in amazement, touching the colors of the noises. Hiro tells her to go hide behind the curtain behind the audience. He unfreezes time, and says Abracdabra, then lowers the sheet, to show Emma's gone. After a few moments she reveals herself behind the audience, and everyone's amazed by the trick.

One particular nurse tells Hiro he really needs to stay put in his bed due to his condition. Despite that, Hiro leaves his bed again when he hears Emma is playing the piano beautifully. Several other nearby staff and others come to listen and watch her performance. Hiro comes in and tells her she has discovered the beauty of her ability. During all their talks he also remembers that it was Charlie who taught him to bring joy and dignity even in the face of death. He then has an "A-ha" moment, saying he forgot to put Charlie on his list of people to help before he dies. Emma has asked Hiro to promise he won't teleport away before Peter gets back. Peter returns to Emma, but unfortunately, Hiro teleports away in his hospital gear to three years ago in Texas, at the diner where Charlie waitresses. He looks in the window and sees the back of Charlie as she serves some customers. To be continued...

Season 4: Episode 4: "Hysterical Blindness"

The episode opens with Sylar pulling himself up from the ground in the woods where Nathan was buried by an unknown assailant who shot him (at the request of Millie). Sylar is walking down the road when a police car approaches and stops him to ask if he had too much to drink. The cop notices him covered in blood and tells him to get on the ground immediately, thinking Sylar looks suspicious.

At Sullivan Brothers Carnival various individuals are shown eating breakfast, with one woman using her hand to heat up a waffle maker. Sullivan talks about being thankful for the family they still have left. He says Joseph left an emptiness but they can mend it. Samuel mentions there are others out there like them, who they can take in and help. Samuel says by day's end they will have a full table again, because he found someone to replace Joseph.

Claire and Gretchen are having breakfast, with Claire expressing how happy she is to be living a real, normal life without snipers or serial killers. Becky Taylor comes up to Claire and asks Claire to join their sorority that Sandra Bennet was in while she was in college. Becky asks Claire to stop by and join in open rush for the sorority. Gretchen tells Claire she doesn't approve, and sororities are for people who can't make their own friends. Claire convinces Gretchen to go along with her.

A psychiatrist named Dr. Madeline Gibson arrives to the interrogation looking glass area of a police station, where she introduces herself to Capt. Lubbock of the police. He seems surprised that she's there and not the usual doctor. He asks how many criminal psych consults she's done, but she doesn't answer. The guy in their interrogation room is Sylar, who Lubbock says is stranger than anyone he's seen because he has no idea who he even is. Madeline goes in to talk to Sylar, offering to help him. She asks his name but he doesn't answer at first. He starts to speak and then stops. Dr. Gibson said he may have brain damage. Sylar says "forest, lost" as he remembers being shot. He tells them he was walking and now he's in a tiny room. Dr. Gibson asks the Captain to unlock his cuffs, so he leaves her his keys and exits. She unlocks Sylar's cuffs and says she'll help him figure out who he is.

Emma is at work at the hospital when another doctor (the one who saw her about her sight issues) brings her coffee. She asks if she's still seeing the colors. The doctor suggests she has conversion disorder or "hysterical blindness", and Emma asks if she thinks she's crazy. The woman says she only follows up like this with people who are her daughter. Emma's mother tells her she's using the whole filing job as a cover. Emma tells her mother she doesn't want to talk about "Christopher's death" anymore. Her mother tells her to stop grieving and take her life back. Emma runs off.

Angela is visiting Peter and asks if he spoke to Nathan lately. Peter says he has, then asks her if they can just talk about him. Angela glances at an empty chair where she thinks about Nathan. Angela says she'll stay for a while in case Nathan shows up. Peter says he has to head to work, then speeds off. Angela grabs his arm before he leaves and says he works too much.

Claire and Gretchen arrive late to the sorority rush. They are doing a speed dating "get to know you" ice breaker with the prospective sorority members. Claire is shown being asked all sorts of questions, and realizes Gretchen has told them all about her. The head sorority sister says Gretchen is real cool because she's edgy.

Emma is walking outside with her headset on, but is upset and seeing colors from the various noises around such as police sirens, construction work, beeping horns and more. She stumbles into the street and is almost hit by a bus. Peter comes speeding in to bring her out of harm's way. Emma is shocked at how he saved her. Emma starts walking off so Peter follows and asks if she's ok. She keeps on walking because she can't hear him. Peter goes to speed off but realizes he lost the speed running power. He kicks a trash can and sees the colors of the sounds just like Emma does.

Samuel is out digging up some dirt, and asks Claudia to hand him a bag. Claudia asks who the new family member is going to be. Claudia runs through a list of names - Peter, Hiro, Claire or Tracy. Samuel says he doesn't know but he felt something in his bones and in the Earth. Claudia tells him that's a real gamble based on just a feeling. Samuel brings his arms together to close up multiple holes he dug in the ground.

Claire tries to find her white sweater, then realizes that Gretchen is wearing it. Claire is slightly irritated but lets it go. Gretchen goes to use the restroom, and then Claire oversees her laptop has a webpage document up about Claire Bennet. Claire searches through the various pages to see all this info about her, her high school, various pictures and then the "Jump Push" murder suicide theory. Claire tells Gretchen to go ahead to the mixer and she'll catch up.

Dr. Gibson continues her talk with Sylar. Sylar says everything feels like he's feeling it for the first time. Sylar says he knows the words and feelings but he can't put them together in his head. He admits it's scary but overwhelmingly beautiful. Dr. Gibson says he may have the opposite of Deja Vu. She says she thinks something traumatic happened to him, but he blocked it out. She tells him to close his eyes and tell her the first thing he sees. He closes his eyes and hears the clock ticking and her watch. He says one of them is faster than the other. She's surprised at his ability to know he watch has been running fast for years. Just then the police captain comes in and asks to see her. The captain tells her they got his I.D. back from fingerprints.

Peter goes to work but sees Emma isn't at her desk. He overhears kids singing "Greatest American Hero", then sees the group of kids colorful singing. He sees Emma in there also looking into the air where the colors are. They lock eyes and Emma realizes maybe he sees what she does. She motions to him to ask if he's seeing it too and he smiles, nodding yes.

Peter mentions the colors thing to Emma and then realizes she is deaf. He has her read his lips, telling her there's others with abilities like hers who can fly or teleport or read minds. Emma is confused and says this is new to her. Peter writes it down on paper for her then shows off the new ability on the piano nearby. They begin to play piano and various colors start emitting as they do. Emma asks why she has this, and Peter says he doesn't know. He says they can get lunch tomorrow to figure it out, so she could get out of the file room. Emma is offended and leaves.

Claire shows up at the mixer looking for Gretchen in the crowded room of females. The head of the sorority comes up to her and brings her to meet more of the sorority girls. Claire meets another girl who used to be a cheerleader who said she quit. Claire suddenly pushes the girl out of the way as a sorority flag falls straight down at her. She looks up and sees Gretchen on the balcony looking surprised.

Captain Lubbock goes in and tells Sylar to put his hands down on the table. The captain says he figured out that he's Gabriel, a watchmaker who murdered his mother. The cop pulled the video camera plug out then said he was going to make sure he got a confession out of him. The cop went at Sylar, who put his hands up at him. The cop went flying back as Sylar's telekinesis kicked in. Capt. Lubbock was sent through the glass window looking area, and alarms rang out as Sylar was shocked at what he did.

Dr. Gibson got into her car and looked at the file folder which showed Gabriel Gray was wanted for murder. Just then, the alarms started going off in the parking garage and all the lights shut out. Suddenly, Sylar was there banging on her car window. He said she promised to help him and demanded her help.

Gretchen arrives back to the dorm room where Claire is. She tells Claire she didn't do it. Gretchen asks why Claire thinks she did it. Claire confesses to seeing what was on her computer and Gretchen is mad her privacy was invaded. Claire asks about why she talked about her so much at the sorority house. Gretchen ends up saying she talks more about Claire because she's more interesting. Claire suggests that Gretchen had something to do with killing Annie. Gretchen with tears in her eyes says she didn't kill Annie and isn't stalking her. Gretchen kisses Claire and says she has a crush on her. Claire is shocked by it. Just then a knock comes at the door, and PSI Alpha Chi offers them both membership in the sorority.

Claudia is up late with Samuel, and he puts ink to her back again. It brings up no image. Just then a rag appears in the air. Samuel says "Hello Rebecca", and the head sorority girl appears, obviously having an invisibilty power. He asks how her work with Claire is going and if she's doing all she can to isolate her. A flashback is shown to the mixer, where Rebecca is invisible up on the balcony near Gretchen. She takes the flag off its pole and lets it drop, to make it look like Gretchen was behind it. Another flashback shows Rebecca was responsible for making the book drop near the laptop so Claire would see it. Finally, a flashback shows Rebecca shove Annie out of her window to kill her. After Claire runs out of the room, Rebecca puts a suicide note on the pillow. Back to Sullivan Brothers, Claudia gets an image on her back. Her back isn't shown but Samuel tells Rebecca to get back to campus.

Dr. Gibson takes off transporting Sylar. He tells her he's not a killer. Sylar says the captain threatened to throw him in a hole. She calls him Gabriel and he says that's not his name. Dr. Gibson screeches the car to a halt and tells him to just take her car. As he argues that he needs her help, police cars show up all of a sudden. Capt. Lubbock is there and steps out drawing his gun on Sylar. Gibson says Sylar is turning himself in, but as he puts his hands out his lightning power kicks in. Lubbock fires several shots into Sylar's chest. He falls on top of Dr. Gibson and they start to tumble down a nearby hill in the woods. As they get up, Sylar pulls his shirt up and the bullet wounds start to heal automatically. Gibson asks him what that was all about and Sylar says he doesn't know. Just then the police dogs are heard nearby, so Gibson tells Sylar to run. He takes off leaving her behind.

Emma arrives home to her apartment and looks at her cello, then decides to start playing. The colors start to come out as she plays it. Meanwhile, Claire and Gretchen are joining the sorority. Rebecca reappears behind them with an evil smirk. Peter arrives at his apartment and all of a sudden Hiro teleports in. He says "Peter Petrelli" and falls to the floor with Peter rushing over to grab him. As Emma continues to play her cello more intensely, all of a sudden she notices it causes the wall in front of her to sort of explode and crack up, as if her ability with sounds may have caused it.

Meanwhile, Sylar is still fleeing the cops in the woods at night. He finally sees bright lights and has arrived to Sullivan Brothers Carnival. Standing at the gates is Samuel who beckons for Sylar to come with him. Sylar is confused but follows him. Gibson, Lubbock and the other cops arrive to the edge of the woods but the Carnival is no longer there, or seen by them.

Samuel brings Sylar in and tells him he's safe here now, at home. Sylar looks around still confused. To be continued....

Season 4 Redemption Characters

In Heroes Season 4 entitled "Redemption", we've met quite the cast of characters straight out of a carnival freak show. In fact it's the Sullivan Bros. Carnival company, which is run by Samuel, who has become a sort of "anti-hero" looking for redemption. He considers himself and the others he presides over to be outcasts who need to redeem themselves in the wake of the death of his brother, Joseph. There's an interesting compass involved in all of this, which was buried with Joseph. It comes into play quite a bit throughout the episodes in Season 4, including a tattoo version that becomes an imprint on Peter's arm.

Samuel, played by Robert Knepper, is the leader of the Sullivan Brothers Carnival group. While not completely evil, he seems to serve as the main villain so far in the latest installment. He has the ability to move the dirt of the Earth with his hands, but also some sort of relationship with ink, as he can use it to create images as he pleases. We saw this when he uses it to tattoo his girlfriend so she can show him images, and when he puts himself into a newspaper article photo at Peter Petrelli's apartment.

One of the newest Heroes characters with Samuel is his henchman, Edgar (actor Ray Park) who is the "knife guy", also from Sullivan Bros. Carnival. Edgar has a cool set of knives and moves super fast with them. He seems reluctant to do the dirty work for Samuel at first, when he's asked to hunt down Danko and the compass. He ends up encountering Tracy Strauss and trying to slash her. Tracy survives the attack, but Danko doesn't and is killed by the new villain. Edgar goes to retrieve the compass from HRG and Peter, but meets his match in Peter who is an empath, capable of using his power. Park is no stranger to weaponry as he portrayed the evil lightsaber-wielding Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode 1: Phantom Menace, and the ninja Snake Eyes in the 2009 GI Joe movie. Park also has a strong martial arts background. According to this Kung Fu magazine article, for Heroes Park uses skeleton knives for his Edgar character and practiced for the role with Wushu knives. On a cool side note of trivia, Ray Park who plays Edgar is also the current voice of the Geico Gecko from the TV commercials.

Two other carnival workers we meet are Arnold and Claudia played by Dawn Olivieri. Claudia is the tattoo display girl who Samuel gives ink to and watches as faces form on her back. She's able to foretell the future or which Heroes will be part of their story by having them show up on her back in tattoo form. She's also Samuel's love interest. Arnold is an ailing older man, who seems to have a power similar to Hiro's. Unfortunately he's on a breathing apparatus and that is why Samuel searches out for Hiro Nakamura to replace Arnold's powers.

Deanne Bray, is the deaf actress who portrays a similar heroic character named Emma. She's deaf and has the ability to see sounds in a colorful way. We learn that when we see her grab a stringed instrument in the park and start playing beautifully to the amazement of the local crowd and Peter Petrelli. She was also seen complaining to a nurse at the hospital Peter works at about her senses seeming to be jumbled. She uses a set of headphones to block out sounds from her ears, which Peter notices aren't plugged into anything.

Another character we meet is Claire's new quirky college buddy, Gretchen (Madeline Zima). She's a curious one, and learns of Claire's powers. She also knows of Claire's whole Homecoming saga, where Claire witnessed a cheerleader being murdered by Sylar. Gretchen and Claire didn't exactly share a lesbian love scene at college, but instead Gretchen got to cut Claire's palm and watch it heal. She said she'd never done it before. Madeline Zima who plays Gretchen was also on the hit show Californication starring David Duchovny.

We're sure to meet even more character as the Heroes Redemption season unfolds. We've seen Janice Parkman, The Haitian, Sandra Bennet, Kimiko Nakamura, and Matt Parkman's new detective partner all featured in various episodes as well. It's notable that Mohinder Suresh has been missing from the show, so far and that the openings are no longer narrated by him.

Season 4: Episode 3: "Acceptance"

The episode starts in Washington, DC, where a bathtub is shown with water coming out of it to form into Tracy Strauss, who gets dressed up and ready to meet someone. Tracy enters a restaraunt where she sees the Governor she formerly worked for.

In Tokyo, Japan, Hiro's sister pulls him aside to say she's always been more serious than him, but thinks now that they're adults it's time for him to be serious. She tells Hiro, that Ando and her are getting married, and asks for Hiro to give her away. Hiro goes in to see Ando, who reminds him he might not be around in a year when they get married, since Hiro's dying. Hiro starts working on his bucket list of wrongs he needs to undo. Ando tells Hiro to tell his sister the truth that he is dying. Just then the "Dial-A-Hero" line rings, and a man who's on a roof about to jump has called.

Hiro takes off to the top of their office building where the man is on the edge. Hiro recognizes him as an employee. The man says he was fired a month ago, but snuck into the building to pretend he still worked there. The man says he wants a witness for when he jumps. The man confesses he was fired for inappropriate behavior, for photocopying his own butt during an office party. Hiro says that's not so bad, and asks about going back to undo the man's mistake. The man jumps, so Hiro decides to go back in time.

Angela Petrelli comes to see Nathan (Sylar) at his office in DC. Angela has a box of old trinkets and items that she says are a trip down memory lane for him. She hands Nathan a toy airplane, and he flashes back to see the events when he was a kid. He picks up a ball cap and sees a girl in a swimsuit dive into a pool with her head bleeding. Angela asks if something's wrong, but Nathan (Sylar) says no.

Tracy asks the Governor for her job back, and he says he can use her in New York. The governor asks for help to ease legislation through the cracks, then asks her to have dinner with him later that night.

HRG looks over the divorce papers from his wife Sandra, then is visited by Peter Petrelli. Peter goes to show his arm to HRG but the compass tattoo is missing. HRG insinuates Peter is seeing things. Peter says he's not, and HRG tells him he's not up for going around trying to find the fast guy with the blades to get cut up again. Peter goes to leave, with Claire at the door. She asks what Peter is there for, and he says just to clear up a question. Peter takes off with Claire wondering about his "new power".

Back in Tokyo, Hiro arrives in Ando's office again just at the moment Ando talks to him about giving away Kimiko at their wedding. Hiro has printer ink smeared on his face and asks Ando about the employee, Tadashi, who was going to jump. Hiro tells Ando he went back in time to stop Tadashi from photocopying his butt. Just then, another call arrives at "Dial-a-Hero". It's Tadashi again, saying he's going to jump. Hiro races to the rooftop again, to find out the man made a photocopy of his butt at a different event than Hiro fixed. Hiro says he'll help fix things for the man, who jumps again.

Nathan shows up at Peter's work to talk to him. Nathan shows Peter he now has telekinesis, and then says he discovers a new power everyday. Nathan says he's seeing memories and images that aren't his own. Peter talks about seeing the history of objects. Nathan talks of the memory of a girl he used to see, and the memory he saw of her dead in a pool of blood in the swimming pool. Peter suggests Nathan go find out the truth by talking to the girl's mom. Nathan says he'll go alone since it's his mess.

Claire confesses she came to check on HRG because he seems plan-less without The Company or a job. Claire says HRG should get a job because he's got great people skills. Claire finds a lumber sales job. HRG says the salesman was a cover for what he really did, but Claire suggests he doesn't have to let them know that.

Nathan visits Millie, the mother of Kelly, who Nathan dated (and saw in the memory as dead). Nathan asks if she's heard from Kelly at all. It's brought up that Kelly may not have run away from home. Millie says she hired a private investigator who found out that Kelly got a one way ticket to London, but nobody's heard from her since. Nathan asks if maybe something else happened to Kelly but Millie puts that idea down. Nathan walks over to the scene of his memory, the swimming pool. He touches a statue nearby to replay the memory of he and Kelly as kids. Kelly teases him by taking away his hat and running off. In present time, Nathan/Sylar goes over to a nearby bench to get further memories. The memory of the past plays out in black and white with Nathan chasing Kelly for the hat. Kelly falls off the side and hits her head against the diving board, falling into the pool dead.

Angela meets with Nathan at a bar, to talk about Millie calling her about Kelly. Nathan says Kelly died, and he wants to know why he can't remember. He says every time there's a secret, Angela seems to have a shovel behind her back. Angela tells Nathan that she took care of the accident, and she had The Haitian erase her memory. Nathan argues it was an accident, but Angela contends it would have ruined Nathan's life if she didn't cover it up. Nathan asks if she's going to let Millie go on believing she's a bad mother, and Angela says Millie's made her peace with this. Nathan goes back to see Millie and confesses that he saw Kelly die by accident. Nathan says it was covered up by his family. Millie becomes upset and asks Nathan to leave.

Claire continues prepping HRG for a job interview with mock questions. Claire says he's a people person. HRG says it's sad to look back on his life and it hasn't amounted to much. He says all he sees is pain, not actually helping people. Claire says she's one person that he's helped.

Back in Tokyo we're at the scene of Ando hearing the news of Hiro giving away Kimiko at their wedding. Hiro is covered in ink, saying he was trying to save Tadashi's life. Ando asks if that's the guy with the famous "butt". Hiro answers the phone, and says "Hi Tadashi, you on the roof, I'll be right there". Hiro looks out at his sister, then goes up to the roof again. Hiro is stressed out but counsels the man, and tells him to find something he loves that he can do. Tadashi agrees with that. Hiro tells him life is a gift, and too short, so it shouldn't be wasted by jumping off the roof. Hiro tells him he's dying, and then tells him to keep secrets, especially from family. Hiro offers Tadashi his hand and says he'll always have a friend. Tadashi thanks him and bows, then finally gets of the roof.

Hiro returns and tells Ando he was right, he must tell Kimiko the truth about him dying. Hiro tells his sister the news and they hug, with Ando looking on. All of a sudden, Hiro gets a sharp pain in his head, he pauses momentarily, then comes back to. As Ando is phoning for an ambulance, Hiro disappears before Kimiko's eyes to her amazement.

Tracy finds HRG at the same restaraunt that they met at before. She tells HRG that she got her old job back. HRG asks why she's there if she got her life back. Tracy says it feels like something is missing and needs to change. HRG tells Tracy life changes and they need to change with it. HRG tells her to remember who she was to figure out who she really wants to be. Tracy leaves to go to dinner with the governor and thanks HRG for his advice.

Tracy arrives at the fancy restaraunt to meet the Governor. She starts telling him that she wants a job where she's making a real difference in people's lives. The governor chuckles over it, and says they both know what she brings to the table. The governor says they should skip dinner and go upstairs to be happy just like old times. Tracy goes to the restroom, and starts to get upset so her hands begin to transform into liquid form. Tracy goes back out and tells the governor things aren't ok, then walks off on him.

Nathan pulls his car into a parking garage, then calls to speak to the homicide division. He's put on hold so he hangs up the phone. Nathan gets out of the car, and suddenly an assailant attacks him from behind, jabbing him in the neck. Nathan slumps to the ground.

Claudia meets with the "fast knife guy" at the carnival. They talk about Samuel's plans. Samuel emerges on the scene and reminds them he makes all the decisions for how things will proceed, now that is brother has died. Samuel tells Claudia it's time to find another. Samuel tells her she can tell him anything, including if she's unhappy being with him. She says no, then Samuel uses his ink tattoo trick on her. A tattoo of Noah Bennet (HRG) comes up. Samuel says he's retired and asks why she's showing Bennet. She says he may now be interested in them again. HRG is shown studying pictures and articles about a compass.

Millie meets with Angela Petrelli, talking about Nathan visiting her. Millie says Nathan claims Kelly died and he was with her when she died. Meanwhile, Nathan(Sylar) is shown being drive off in the trunk of his car. The man takes Nathan's jewelry off, rolls his body over then shoots him several times in the chest, before throwing dirt on his body. Millie gets a call at the restaurant from the man who just shot Nathan/Sylar. He tells her "the package is delivered". Millie and Angella toast over "closure", just as the car is shown driving off. Nathan reaches a hand up from the dirt, then Sylar emerges from the woods grave area.

Season 4: Episode 2: "Ink"

Claire is shown in her dorm room, with her friend Gretchen pounding at the door, saying they need to talk. Claire ignores her and shes goes away.

Parkman sees another vision of Sylar in his home, and draws his gun, but when he goes to aim, there's nobody there.

Peter pins up another newspaper article about lives saved.

Samuel and Lydia are shown at the Sullivan Brothers carnival. Samuel tells her he thinks he's found someone to fill Joseph's position. Samuel dresses up in a shirt and tie, which Lydia questions. Samuel talks about how he learned how liberating it was when he knew he could control the dirt underneath his feet. Samuel talks about needing his compass back, and Lydia says he can't replace his brother back. Samuel says he wants to see if this new candidate has a place at their table. He puts his hand into a bottle of ink and drains it completely. Lydia asks him if he'll go home while he's out, and he says no he left that life and won't go back again.

A messenger arrives at Peter's apartment to ask if he was the one who saved someone last week. Peter says yes, and the man gives him a subpoena, saying he's been served.

A woman wakes up at an apartment, and grabs a pair of headphones, then picks up her cat. She notices her faucet leaking water onto a spoon and goes to check it out.

In Long Beach, CA, Matt Parkman is on a stakeout with his partner. His partner senses Matt is tense. Matt pulls out his 30 day sobriety chip and tells him he slipped up on his sobriety. His partner gets a page and leaves the van. Matt sees Sylar in the rearview mirror, and he starts to taunt Parkman again. Sylar continues to demand that Matt puts him back in his body. Matt tells Sylar he'll ignore him until he fades away like a bad memory. Sylar chuckles about it, as Matt's partner returns. Matt's partner says he wants him in, but wants Matt to keep it together. They bust into the home with guns drawn. Sylar is in their again to taunt Matt every where he goes to in the house. Sylar tells Parkman the drug dealer is in the closet with a gun. Matt barely avoids several bullets getting sprayed at him, and is able to take the suspect down as he leaves the closet. Sylar is sitting in a chair and tells Matt "You're welcome" as Matt cuffs the man.

Back to Claire's dorm, she gets a knock at the door, and answers it thinking it's Gretchen. It's HRG with housewarming gifts. HRG asks about her roommate committing suicide, and asks if Claire's ok. HRG probes about it, and Claire says college is an adjustment for her, she misses her family and home. Claire goes to the bathroom to get ready so she can go eat with HRG. In the bathroom, Gretchen finds her and asks why she's avoiding her. Gretchen says they need to talk about what happened. Claire tries to play it off, avoiding talking about her power. They get back to Claire's room and Gretchen meets HRG. He asks her to join them for lunch, and Claire tries to say Gretchen has a paper to do. Gretchen says she finished and will gladly join them.

Parkman has the suspect tied up and begins to tear the place apart for the drugs. Parkman goes over to grill the suspect, and Sylar is still there taunting him. Sylar suggests that Matt use his abilities. Matt goes to the bathroom to look for the drugs. Matt tells Sylar to stop helping him. Sylar tells Matt something doesn't fit in this picture. Matt finds a stuffed rabbit on the floor. Sylar tells Matt the house isn't used for drugs, it's for something a lot worse.

Peter is at work and goes up to the blond female shown earlier checking out the water faucet. Peter asks the woman about the subpoena to find out where the patient is who is suing him, but she's got her headphones on. Peter notices her headphones aren't attached to anything. The woman knocks a glass mug off the desk, and goes to pick it up. Peter asks if she's ok then notices some papers that fell tell him where the patient is located. He then goes to check on a man in physical therapy. He walks in and asks "William Hooper?" and Samuel is sitting there saying "yes that's me", as he meets Peter for the first time.

Peter looks at the man strangely and says he remembers everyone he saved from the crash, but Mr. Hooper was not one of them. Samuel claims he was in the bus accident, and that Peter was so negligent he dislocated his arm. Peter asks the man if this is a scam to get money. He says no, it's for empathy. Samuel claims his brother died, and he must take care of his family. He says with the injury he can't work to feed his family. He asks Peter if he's going to allow this to happen. Peter tries to walk away. Samuel says his lawyer checked on him already, and suggest that maybe Peter has been spreading himself thin with all his work, to the point he doesn't remember who was on the bus. Peter walks off.

A nurse is checking on the woman with the headphones, who is revealed to be deaf and/or mute. She's asking about some sort of lights she saw. The nurse suggests its synesthesia, where senses get crossed. The nurse says it's possible she's seeing sound as colors, because it's common in deaf cases. The woman jokes about it, but the nurse suggests Emma could be doing so much more. Emma says she wears headphones so she can avoid seeing their faces.

HRG dines on Indian or Asian food with Gretchen and Claire. Gretchen starts to talk in innuendos regarding Claire's power, such as switching majors to study strange phenomenon. Gretchen asks HRG what he does, and he says he's retired but always finding new reasons to go back to work.

Matt is pacing around with Sylar holding the bunny. Matt asks Sylar what he knows. Sylar starts ignoring him to play Matt's game. Sylar continues to mess with Matt's mind, talking about his family not loving him. Matt starts yelling at Sylar, but the suspect thinks he's talking about him. Matt finds a cutout note regarding a little girl. Sylar asks Matt if he's man enough to save the little girl, who the note says will die if a ransom isn't given.

As Gretchen gets up to go to the restroom, HRG confronts her about telling Gretchen about her power. Claire says she just found out. HRG says it's time to call The Haitian so he can erase Gretchen's memory. Claire stops him and threatens to stop talking to him if he does it. Claire says she'll clean up her own mess this time.

Parkman starts to angrily confront the suspect about the ransom note, with Sylar still hanging around. Sylar taunts Matt to use his power. Matt finally breaks down and reads the man's mind to find that the girl is upstairs. He goes upstairs and is able to find a dead little girl hidden in a hallway. Matt's partner comes int othe house as Matt is beating on the suspect. His partner screams at him and Matt tells him about the dead girl upstairs. They go up and there's no girl, just Christmas wrapping paper and bows. Back downstairs, Matt finds that there was no ransom note. Sylar is there and tells Parkman he used his power against him.

Peter's paramedics partner comes up to him asking about him being sued. The partner says according to his records Mr. Hooper was in the accident. His partner says several individuals have speculated that Peter is causing the accidents himself to get the glory for saving people. Peter tells him their partners, and the man says Peter always runs off the second they get on the scene.

Samuel breaks into Peter's apartment to check out the various articles about him saving lives. He puts his finger on the newspaper article about the bus crash, and puts his own image into the picture. Just then, Peter arrives home. Samuel takes off, and Peter goes to look at the article. He sees Mr. Hooper aka Samuel in the photo.

Gretchen apologizes to Claire about being so pushy. Gretchen tells Claire she used to be called "wretchen Gretchen", because she smelled like puke since she was bulimic. Claire says she can't believe they made that up. Gretchen laughs it off, saying "yea made up". Claire stops Gretchen and says she can ask her anything and she'll tell the truth.

Peter catches up with Mr. Hooper/Samuel at night. He apologizes to him for the mistake he made and asks how he can make it up. Samuel asks Peter if he ever lost a brother. Peter says no he hasn't. Samuel talks about going back home, but there's too many bad memories about his brother dying. He says he can't find any solace anywhere. Peter tells Samuel he's not alone. He says he became a paramedic to save lives instead of letting them pass. Samuel shakes his hand and says he's dropping the lawsuit. Peter recommends that Samuel visit his home. Samuel walks off, and passes Emma, the deaf woman.

Emma is sitting on a park bench and sees a man playing a stringed instrument. She notices the color glow on it. The man gets up and puts his instrument down to get some food. Emma removes her headphones and goes over to it, then starts playing beautifully. The man is amazed as are others around. Emma sees all sorts of colors emitted from the strings as she plays. Peter is nearby and hears the music as well so he gets up and goes over to see her playing, where a small crowd has formed. Emma gets up and hands off the instrument then runs off. Peter starts to chase her, then stops.

Samuel goes back to his house to pay a visit. It's a large home and Samuel rings the bell. A woman answers the door, and Samuel explains his family used to work there as housecleaning crew. He explains that he just lost his brother and wants to look around the carriage house. The woman says they are in the middle of a dinner party, and says sorry for your loss, before turning Samuel away.

Gretchen jokes with Claire about her never ever being drunk due to her power. Claire tells her she'll always have a designated driver. Gretchen asks to see the power. Claire hands her some scissors and puts her hand out. Gretchen slices the scissors across her hand. Claire pretends to be in pain then says she's joking. She shows her hand healing up. The phone rings, and Claire answers to talk to HRG. She tells him everything's ok, because she'll handle things. HRG tells her he's sorry for being a bit harsh at the restaurant earlier. HRG says he realizes Claire can handle her own problems for now. Claire returns to Gretchen and asks her to be her roommate to which Gretchen agrees.

Matt's partner Mike is yelling at him about killing a suspect. Mike says he needs to find a good lawyer. Mike says he's sorry. He gets up and hands Mike his sobriety chip, telling him he's not strong enough anymore. Matt starts to use his power and convinces Mike that the suspect attacked him, so Parkman defended him. Matt suggests his partner go call it in. Sylar's vision gets in Matt's face, and says he's proud of him. Sylar suggests that Matt can have more bad days like this, or he can take him to his body.

Peter arrives at a fresh accident scene with paramedics and police there. A man tells Peter and his partner that a lot of people died in this one. Peter asks what happened and the mans says it was a sinkhole. A shot cuts to where the large home Samuel visited once was, but was now gone due to the sinkhole (made by Samuel's power to move Earth). Samuel is shown hiding nearby near a tree. Just then Peter grabs at his own arm and notices that there's an ink rendition of a compass on it which starts spinning. Samuel smirks as the show ends. Volume 5 - "Redemption"

The new season opens with a group standing around a grave site in the middle of nowhere. A man spoke about his brother Joseph, and how they needed a family as protection from the outside world, that never understood what makes them different. Scenes were shown of the other Heroes including Peter, Claire, Sylar, Nathan, Hiro, Ando, Matt Parkman and Tracy Strauss. The man said in their place they offer salvation, hope and redemption so that one by one they can bring the others to their family. The man opened a compass up which he tossed into the grave. He said it's time they find their way home again, then motioned his hands to telekinetically move the dirt on top of the casket.

Chapter One: Orientation

We open in Arlington, VA as Claire Bennet arrives to college with all her belongings. Her roommate Annie comes in to introduce herself. Annie started to analyze how Claire got into college with a GED, then tells her she needs a map for her future including her grad school and job plans. Annie shows Claire a poster on the wall of her plans for the years down the road. Annie tells Claire to ditch the childish toys and start planning her future.

In Tokyo, Japan Hiro is watching a teleconferencing phone and has two laptops in front of him. Ando tells Hiro to stop waiting on the call. Hiro shows him a bar chart saying people need their help. Ando finds a picture Hiro has of them as kids from a carnival. Hiro begins to reminisce of how he was in love with Hiro's sister, but she thinks he's an idiot. Just then she enters the office and starts to yell at the two of them for their "Heroes for Hire" business, saying they are ruining business. She yells at Ando for coming up with the idea, saying she has to put her foot down. Ando says she hates him and it all started at the carnival. Just then a call comes in, with Hiro picking up eagerly.

Traffic is gridlocked in New York City, with a vehicle pulling up with Peter and another man inside. Apparently, Peter is a paramedic now. He tells the other guy he's going to go on foot, with the man saying he'll never make it. Peter hops out and starts running so he can get to the accident scene. He leaps up in an alley over a big truck and eventually reaches the accident scene where a woman is trapped in an overturned car. He tells her he's there to save her.

Claire goes to her Linear Algebar college Algebra test, where Annie quickly motions for her to come sit with her. Annie tells her this is all about sisterhood. Claire asks if this is a joke. She eventually starts to bug out, seeing images of a sniper rifle which fires a dart into her. Claire moans out in the class, and everyone looks at her. She tells her roomie she's going to leave sincet his class isn't for her.

Peter is back at the hospital where his friend from the vehicle tells him the woman he saved gave birth to two kids one she named Peter. Peter tells his friend he's going home, with his friend offering to take him out for drinks with them. Peter says he's good despite his friend saying there's a life outside of their job.

Ando and Hiro are shown helping a little girl whose cat is stuck up high inside a building area. Hiro tells Ando this one's all up to him, and tells the girl Ando will climb up to retrieve the cat. Ando makes his way up to the cat, climbing up a pipe. He grabs the cat with the girl warning him it doesn't like strangers. The cat goes ballistic causing Ando to fall. Luckily, Hiro freezes time to stop Ando before he hits the ground saying sometimes you've got to do things yourself.

Angela makes a call to HRG saying that she suspects Tracy Strauss is making revenge killings on the agents from Building 26. Angela told HRG it's time he pulled himself together to start working on this plan. HRG asked what plan, and she reminded him they had to turn Sylar into Nathan. HRG expressed his disgust over what they did, saying he can barely look Nathan in the eye knowing who it is. Angela told HRG to do his job and get The Company running, since he's the man with the plan. HRG tells her he's lost his family because of all this. He says he has to go since it's Claire's first day of college. HRG walks out to his car in the parking garage. He tries to start it and immediately water starts to flood out. The outside freezes up, while the inside starts to fill with water as Noah frantically tries to escape.

Noah tries to find a way out, and finally someone fires a gunshot into the window. The water comes gushing out and HRG falls to the ground. He gets up to see Danko standing there. Danko said it appears Tracy is after him too. Danko said he's there to make sure they kill Tracy before she kills them. HRG said last time he tried to help him, Danko almost stabbed him with a syringe. Danko said he heard HRG and the Petrelli's are back in the business. Danko tells HRG he's on his own now. HRG watches the water seep into a nearby grate.

Claire makes friends with a brunette girl on campus named Gretchen who is originally from Austin. Gretchen asked about a murder at Union Wells in Bennett, TX, where the cheerleader was murdered. Claire tells her she wants to keep the story on the DL. Claire walks off saying she has something to handle.

Back in Japan, Hiro stands the frozen Ando up with cat in hand. He unfreezes time and the little girl is overjoyed that they saved her cat. She says she will tell everyone "Dial a Hero" is the best. The girl turns to notice Hiro is just standing there frozen. Ando tries to revive him, but Hiro isn't moving.

Back in NYC, Nathan arrives to see his mother, but she's seeing him as Sylar. Suddenly, Angela awakes from her vision, terrified. A man lets her out of her car and she goes into the Sushi place. Just then, Nathan walks in asking what she did to him. He gives her a kiss on the cheek then asks if she's ok. Angela says she's worried about The Company. Nathan/Sylar starts eyeing the sushi on the table asking if he likes it, to which Angela tells him he does. He confesses that he feels like a lot of change is going on with him. It's like when he looks back on himself it's not like his own life he's looking back at. He talks about being a father, brother and son, saying he's been a jackass, but plans to change all that. He vows to reconnect with everyone who was important in his life, so he can be better person. He says he feels invincible, but Angela said it's a mid life crisis. Angela tells him to go buy a big sports car and get a younger woman with questionable morals.

In Los Angeles, CA, Matt Parkman is with his baby son. Angela Parkman calls him to say she thinks Sylar is starting to emerge again from the Nathan body. Angela orders him to go back into Sylar's mind and reprogam him. Matt said he's done and is out. Matt says he's been seeing things ever since he helped them. Angela tells him there's no such thing as out, and asks if he's not willing to fix the problem. Matt hangs up on her saying it's not his problem.

Nathan/Sylar is shown in his office at his desk. He reaches for his coffee cup which moves to his hand by telekinesis. He tries again with no luck. He then notices he has electricity between his two hands, which "shocks him" to find out.

HRG is waiting in Claire's dorm, as Annie is talking to him about how great a student Claire could become. Annie tells Claire to see her at the mixer tonight for Guitar Hero 3. Claire tells HRG she was recognized as someone from the murder in Odessa. She tells HRG she just wants to be Claire Bennet daughter of Noah Bennet. She says she told her roommate the truth that HRG works for the government. HRG said maybe she shouldn't tell the whole truth each time, and to be careful.

Scene shifts to Sullivan Brothers Carnival. The man from the beginning is in a tent, where a blond woman named Lydia enters. She takes her top off, and he walks over to her with an ink device. A tattoo forms on her back and she tells the man the guy is named "Danko". Just then another man enters to ask about what was said earlier about redemption. The man is told that vengeance is also part of their plan. He is instructed to go get the compass back and kill Danko, because it's what Joseph would want. The man seems to not be interested in doing that, but the man from the beginning grabs him and slams his arm down on a table, then stabs him with the ink rod. Ink fills the man's forearm/wrist and then travels up his body to his throat, forming the picture of a hand choking him. He grasps for air, and the other guy tells him "I wont ask again".

HRG is sitting down for a late dinner, when Tracy Strauss enters the building and sits down. She tells him he's number five. HRG said he saw her break into 1000 pieces, but now she's back. Tracy said she shattered into pieces, but then they all formed back together with one thought, killing all those who destroyed her life. HRG said he could make it so Danko wasn't interested in her anymore. HRG said after 20 years of his job he's never helped a single one of the people he tracked down. He said maybe they're both looking for redemption. HRG asked if it was a deal, and Tracy said he wishes it were that easy, then leaves.

HRG pays a visit to Danko to recommend that he let this mission to kill Tracy go. He hands Danko a relocation assignment courtesy of the US government. Danko tells HRG he's uninterested. HRG says that's not an option and just then The Haitian is shown standing behind Danko. Danko turns and Haitian grabs his forehead, with HRG saying he's going to get what he wants.

Peter is at his apartment and gets a call from Nathan/Sylar. He lets the machine get it and Nathan angrily says he needs Peter to call him because something strange is happening to him. Back in his apartment, Peter pins up an article about his saving the woman earlier.

Danko arrives at his apartment but as he goes inside he immediately realizes someone else is there. He draws his gun and aims at Tracy Strauss who's standing there. Danko has no memory of who she is, which puzzles Tracy until she realizes it was HRG's doing. She says he's not worth it and gets ready to leave. Danko walks into his apartment, and Tracy overhears him confronted by another man. He says he's been sent to get something back from Danko. Tracy then witnesses the man from the carnival quickly pull out two bladed weapons and slice up Danko, killing him. Tracy goes in and the man starts coming at her with the blades, getting a few slices in. As he strikes her, water gushes out, and her face reforms after he slashes it. Tracy grabs his arm and begins to freeze him, causing him to drop the weapon. The man quickly exits the apartment as Tracy looks down at Danko's dead body.

Claire is at the big mixer party, making her way through the party goers to see her roommate playing Guitar Hero. She sees the girl she met earlier, Gretchen. She apologizes about the murder thing she brought up earlier. Claire said she was never allowed to talk about it before and kept trying to start over. Annie spots Claire and yells for her to come over to play. Claire goes over with Gretchen saying she's going to play with her instead. Claire and Gretchen engage in a friendly game of Guitar Hero 3.

Back in Japan, Ando is wheeling the frozen Hiro around the office as Hiro's sister (the boss) is busy talking to a businessman. Ando wheels Hiro into another room and shakes Hiro to wake him up. Hiro finally comes to, with Ando saying something went wrong with his powers. He notices Hiro's nose is bleeding. Ando says he's taking him to the doctor, but Hiro says there's no need since he saw one. Hiro admits to Ando that he's dying and it could be any day. Ando suggests that Hiro go back in time to the day this happened to him to see if he can change it. Hiro pulls out the picture from the carnival. He says back then there was a fortune teller who told him he'd be a powerful hero, and from that moment he dedicated himself to being a hero. Hiro gets angry telling Ando he can't change the code or the past. Hiro becomes frozen yet again. Ando snaps him out of it again. Hiro says he thinks he was back at the carnival. Just then Hiro disappears and finds himself teleported to the carnival fourteen years ago in Japan.

We're back to present day with the ringleader of the Redemption carnival people and the woman who can form tattoos on her back. A tattoo forms of Hiro Nakamura and she tells the ringleader he was at the carnival 14 years ago. The ringleader walks out and finds an older man who's on a breathing apparatus. The man asks when they'll stop moving again. He asks the man to send him back 14 years if he can.

Claire goes to her room to find that her roommate isn't there. She also finds the windows open and goes over to shut them but then sees that down below is her roommate Annie lying dead in a pool of blood.

Back in Los Angeles at night time, Parkman trips over a toy car. The scene then shifts back to Nathan/Sylar in his office staring at a coffee cup. He angrily slams his hand down on his desk. Parkman finds that his baby is missing. Sylar/Nathan goes into the bathroom and begins looking at himself in the mirror. Parkman looks around for his son, then hears him crying. He turns to see Sylar holding him up. Sylar tells Matt he wants his body back. Matt begs Sylar to put his son down. Matt asks Sylar how he's there, and Sylar said he's inside Matt's head. Matt asks if he's not real, but Sylar said he's holding his son still. Matt's wife calls out for him, so Sylar tosses the baby at him. Matt goes to catch him, but as his wife enters Sylar is gone, and the baby is in the crib. She asks Matt if he's ok and he says he just came in to check on the baby.

HRG is at his apartment pulling down a fire alarm which is going off since he burned his dinner. He grabs a bowl of cereal instead. HRG places a call and a man answers. HRG says he must have the wrong number since he was calling for Sandra. The man says "yea she's here" and hands the phone to her. HRG hangs up. His cell rings and he picks up thinking it's Sandra but instead it's Tracy Strauss. Noan pays a visit to Danko's apartment where Danko is on the floor dead with Tracy sitting there. Tracy tells him she didn't do it.

Hiro is at the Carnival 14 years ago and realizes he time traveled, but can't go back. A younger version of himself asks for him to take their picture, making Hiro take the picture of he, Ando and his sister from years ago. Hiro sees himself going to get his fortune, then tells himself he can't change his destiny and must go back. He can't teleport back to present day. Just then, Samuel, the ringleader man appears asking Hiro if he wants to try at one of the carnival games. Hiro says no thanks, until the man calls him by name. He tells Hiro they're going to be great friends.

A police detective is questioning Claire about her roommate, asking if she knew about any suicidal tendencies. Claire said her roomie didn't seem that way at all, so the police woman shows Claire a suicide note they found on her pillow. Claire says she didn't recall seeing that at all in the room. Other students are standing outside the door getting pics with their cell phone. Claire suggests to the woman that someone murdered her roommate.

Ando is back at the office wondering what happened to Hiro. His sister enters asking where Hiro is. Ando told her that Hiro left. She demands he tell her the truth about where he went. Ando tells her Hiro went back in time 14 years to the carnival to which she doesn't believe.

Samuel makes friends with Hiro, showing him he's got a power too. Samuel asks Hiro if he's there because of the young boy. Hiro tells him how he can't alter things because then he'll never save the cheerleader and NY will blow up. Samuel convinces him that maybe he could make some changes. Hiro said it's bad to change the past since everything is connected. Hiro said he could fix things between Ando and his sister from when bumped into Ando and spilled the drink on her. Samuel says he needs to take a chance and change one thing to make things better. He pushes Hiro back towards the younger Hiro, Ando and Hiro's sister. The older time traveling Hiro is now in the line of fire for the slushie drink that spills all over him, saving his sister's dress and Ando. Just then, Hiro is teleported back to present day with Ando at the office. Ando asks if he saved himself back in time, but Hiro says no, then asks if anything changed for Ando. Ando looks puzzled saying everything still the same. Hiro asks about Kimiko, who walks in and tells Hiro he must pay a higher rent now. Hiro bows to her then leaves the office, as Ando tells her she's being too hard on Hiro. Just then, Hiro sees Ando and Kimiko start to kiss. He exclaims "I did it!" to which they both turn to look at him.

Tracy relays her story to HRG about what happened with Danko and the other man. Tracy said she didn't know HRG had helped her out so she had to come see for herself. Tracy said the man with the knives was very fast and is one of them. HRG looked at Danko's wounds saying it wasn't revenge, but the killer was looking for something. HRG reached inside Danko's guts to pull out a key. Neither HRG nor Tracy knew what it was for though.

A water delivery guy is there playing with Matt's baby, talking to his wife Janice. Matt comes out to meet the guy, and takes offense to the guy knowing his wife and having seen Matt's son grow up. Janice takes Matt aside saying she's worried about him. Janice suggests Matt could use his power to if he needed to for his job, but he says he swore not to. Matt tells her he's got things under control.

HRG pays a visit to Peter at his apartment. Peter tells him he's working as a paramedic again. HRG sees all the articles pinned up on Peter's bulletin board. HRG praises Peter for using his powers for good. Peter tells HRG that The Company hasn't been model citizens. HRG tells Peter that Danko was killed and shows him the key he found. He says it opens a safety deposit box downtown, but he suspects the guy looking for it will be there. HRG fills Peter in on the fast man with the knives, and says he needs Peter as his partner on this.

Angela Bennet pays a visit to Claire at college. Angela tells Claire it's not up to her to tell Annie's parents about the suicide note. Gretchen is in the dorm and meets Angela. Gretchen starts asking about the suicide note that Claire didn't see. Gretchen said it was weird because Annie had mapped her life out for years so why would she kill herself. Angela decides to leave. Gretchen asks Claire how they can go about proving Annie was murdered.

HRG and Peter wait at the New York Federal Bank in Manhattan. HRG tells Peter he should reconsider the way he's living his life alone, just saving lives and keeping track. HRG tells him it's not healthy to live alone with no connections, then tells Peter his own story of how he's alone now. A knock comes at the door, with a bank rep bringing in the safety deposit box. HRG opens the box to find a small pouch containing a compass. HRG remarks that it's broken. Just then, another knock arrives at the door. The bank rep is standing there then falls to the floor all bloodied on his back from knife wounds. The villain from earlier is there and wields a blade he points at HRG, saying the object doesn't belong to him.

The man begins to move forward with his blade aimed at HRG. Just then, Peter grabs him by the arm and absorbs his powers. Peter and the knife-wielding man begin to engage in a bit of a sword fight moving Matrix style around the room. With Peter eventually able to kick the man away. He stares at Peter for a moment then quickly moves out of the room. Peter checks on the dead bank worker to find he's still breathing.

The scene shifts ahead to Peter at the hospital checking on the man, finding out he's going to be ok. HRG is waiting for Peter there, and they talk about the compass. HRG hands it to Peter and as soon as it's in Peter's hand it begins spinning frantically. HRG tells Peter to keep it, but Peter is hesitant, saying he's trying to stay away from whatever HRG is doing. Peter suggests that HRG just hand over the compass. Peter says his life is simple now. Peter says he only went with HRG to get the other guy's ability so it could help him in his job. HRG wishes him luck and then tells him to call his mother.

Gretchen arrives to a cafeteria with a stack of books they can use about finding out about who murdered Annie. Gretchen suggests they find a dummy the approximate weight of Annie so they can test out to see how the crime happened. Annie asks Claire where they can find a dead body.

Matt is at an Office recovery group meeting for the LAPD. He says it's been six weeks since he last used and tells about his feelings to the group. As he's talking, Sylar enters the room and is standing in the middle of the group. Sylar says hi to the group and says it's been six weeks or so since he's seen his body and wants it back. Sylar is right in his face as Matt continues to tell the group about these images of ghosts bothering him. Matt yells out "go away!" and the group leader asks if he's ok. Sylar keeps insulting Matt telling him he's weak. The group members begin to eye Matt uncomfortably. The group leader asks for the next person to speak, with Sylar laughing about it.

Back at the office in Japan, Hiro observes the lovebirds Kimiko and Ando making eyes at one another. Hiro tells Ando he's the reason they're in love. Ando is confused saying they had their first kiss on the ferris wheel. Hiro says he prevented a slushie from falling on Kimiko's dress which saved Ando's chances with her. Hiro then says he must go back and change other things. Hiro quickly rushes out of the office ready to change the past.

Matt Parkman goes in to try to interrogate a guy in the LAPD interrogation room. As he's in there, Sylar appears once again to taunt Matt. Sylar keeps taunting Matt to just read his mind. The man asks Matt what is wrong with him as he's talking to Sylar, not him. Matt throws a chair at the wall at Sylar. The man ducks down and gives Matt a name and location. Matt's boss rushes in giving him the eye.

Peter is back on the job and his co-worker gets in the vehicle. Peter hands him a cup of chowder from Legal Seafood in Boston. Peter pretends his friend brought it up for him. Just then a call comes through for an accident. His co-worker says they have five minutes until break ends. Peter rushes out of the vehicle as his co-worker turns his back. As Peter quickly arrives at the scene, he finds HRG down on the ground slashed open. HRG tells Peter the man took the compass.

Tracy Strauss visits HRG in the hospital. She asks if HRG is going to go after the guy who took the compass. HRG says he needs one of them to help him out. Tracy suggests that maybe this guy is like her and looking to get his life back. Tracy asked why HRG called her, then realizes he doesn't want to be alone. Tracy sticks around with HRG to have some clam chowder in his hospital room.

Matt arrives to his place to find Roy the water guy just leaving after fixing the hot water. Matt asks to walk him out. As they get outside, he finally uses his power to suggest that Roy starts a new route tomorrow and never returns to their place again. He hands him some money and Roy tells him goodbye. As Roy leaves, Sylar appears again and says "Gotcha". Parkman goes inside and shuts the door fast.

Claire wakes up in her dorm late at night and decides to open the window where her roommate fell from. She gets up on the ledge and sees the chalk outline below. Claire drops down off the ledge onto the chalk outline then realizes that her roommate did kill herself.

Back at the carnival, the knife-wielder hands over the compass to Samuel. He tells him he had a tough time getting the compass back because he met an empath. The man asks if they met someone to replace their time traveler. Samuel says he met a Japanese guy who he put on a righteous path. Samuel takes out an ink utensil and sticks it into Leah's back. Heroes Volume 5 - Redemption 9/21/09 Sneak Peak

(Ready for some Heroes Redemption?)

Volume Five of Heroes could be a major improvement on the previous episodes seen last season during "Fugitives". This upcoming volume which kicks off Monday, September 21st, 2009 is entitled "Redemption". It follows the various characters as they look to re-adjust back to normal living, now that they are no longer being hunted. There will be a storyline involving a new band of characters who are part of a carnival, looking for redemption and vengeance, as well as others like them to join their cause.

Volume 5 Heroes Redemption also sees the return of Tracy Strauss (Ali Larter), the "Ice Queen" as she seeks vengeance against the people who tried to kill her. Additionally, there will be the story of Claire (Hayden Pannettiere) wanting a "normal life" (ok not so new), and Nathan/Sylar trying to figure out who he is exactly. Angela Petrelli, HRG, Matt Parkman, Hiro, Ando and from the looks of the preview, Danko, all make returns for the new season. The first Volume 5 Heroes episode on NBC 9/21/09 will be a special 2-hour season premiere.

Latest on Heroes Redemption from Comic-Con 2009

According to Comic-Con 2009's glimpse at the upcoming installment of Heroes, "Redemption", fans are still hanging tight with the series. In this next part of the show which picks up where "Fugitives" left off, we'll see the heroes going back to their ordinary lives. There's a carnival where workers are really heroes in hiding, and also some insight into a few of the new cast members.

From USA Today:

The new volume includes new people with abilities, hiding in plain sight by working at a carnival. New cast members include Prison Break's Robert Knepper, whose character is an earthmover, and Ray Park, whose character has super speed.

Kring said there will be fewer stories per episode this season, with the goal of "going deeper, not wider." And Claire (Hayden Panettiere) will be headed to college, where she makes friends with another student (Madeline Zima). "I think you guys are going to like us together," Panettiere said, before cooling down the crowd. "Not in that way."

Comic-Con 2009 in San Diego, CA, also featured an anticipated look at Tron Legacy, a movie 27 years in the making, the hot Iron Man 2, starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, and of course Twilight's sequel "New Moon" which will feature heartthrob Robert Pattinson. As for other television shows, the convention had discussions and sneak peak material for 24, Lost and True Blood, HBO's original series about vampires.

Ali Larter's Whipped Cream Bikini

If you saw the 1999 football movie Varsity Blues, then you saw Heroes star Ali Larter in one of her earliest and maybe best roles as Darcy Sears. She also was made famous in the first couple "Final Destination" horror flicks as well. The reason she gained fame in Varsity Blues was because she played the conniving cheerleader who was trying to sleep with the new star quarterback, behind her boyfriend's back (the seriously-injured quarterback).

In one particular scene Darcy (Larter) tries her best to seduce Mox (James Van Der Beek), the new star quarterback. She soon comes out wearing nothing more than a few splats of whipped cream, in bikini form. The Ali Larter whipped cream bikini scene continues to be a favorite of many of her fans. Larter told an interviewer from the Daily Mail the following regarding that scene:

For my first-ever movie scene I was completely naked except for a bikini made of whipped cream (pictured). That was my first scene in Varsity Blues and I had no clue what I was supposed to do. I knew if I started crying it would be hard to stop – so I cried for seven hours solid before filming started. The scene must have worked OK because so many people remember it.

While we won't see Larter donning whipped cream in the next installment of Heroes, we may see her in wet, water form. If you recall the last episode of Fugitives started with a sneak peak of a watery villainess entering into an agent's apartment in water form. Headlines revealed that someone was killing off agents, most likely the new Larter-sister character seeking vengeance for the death of her sister Tracy Strauss.

Will Volume 5 bring Redemption?

It's always the show you love the most that you become most critical of, and in this case Heroes was a show many people fell in love with after Season 1's great drama, action, sci-fi and mystery. Season 2 was not quite as good, but now looking back seems much better than what we've been served up recently. It's starting to seem like a big revolving door of bringing us back around to the same storylines, and that may not be the fairest treatment for fans of this series.

The way in which Volume 4 - Fugitives ended was almost surreal, as if somehow Matt Parkman was able to use subliminal mind control to make us all forget how silly the way that Nathan died yet still lives on happened. It basically boiled down to the brothers Petrelli going into a 2-on-1 deathmatch with bad guy Sylar. Their only abilities were to fly, giving Sylar a serious advantage. So they flew in, the doors shut while Sylar was electrocuting them, suspending them, throwing objects at them, buzzsawing them, and who knows what else. It was almost like Darth Vader against two limited Jedi's. Claire got to see more of the handicap fight then we did as she peeked through the door crack. Why they stopped the girl who can re-heal from going into the battle with them is beyond me. So the battle goes on, and eventually the noise stops and the dust settles. Claire goes into the hotel suite to find just Peter, who's bruised up and can no longer fly. He says Nathan and Sylar took the fight out the window. Peter's hurt and can no longer fly, but we learn he gained Sylar's abilities. Which as a fan eagerly pointed out to me, include the whole re-healing thing. Guess Peter didn't want others knowing what he was capable of?

Just moments after Claire and Peter leave the suite, Sylar hurls Nathan back into the suite to finish the fight. Kinda strange, but Sylar wins it by using telekinesis and then slitting Nathan's throat. At first I was thinking somehow Peter morphed into Nathan to absorb the damage and trick Sylar, but that would be impossible with another Peter running around. So Nathan really was killed, sort of. First Sylar had to be stopped. As he changed himself into the president's aid, Samuels, he got into the president's limo. However, it wasn't the president in the back seat, it was Peter using his cool new power to turn into anyone. He jabbed Sylar with a tranquilizer. Next up, the big plan to make Nathan still alive somehow..

Angela told Matt Parkman he was supposed to save Nathan, and boy was she right! What a twist, Parkman was able to go into an unconscious Sylar's head and convince him "You're Nathan Petrelli...Sylar's dead". Somehow he was also mentally sending us the telegram "You all will continue watching no matter how ridiculous this all seems". To make the plan more "plausible" HRG was like "Hey, I've got a spare shapeshifter sitting in cryogenics just for this moment!' Parkman skeptically went along with it, but once again Angela is lying to Peter, HRG is lying to Claire about her real father. The three of them along with Suresh, Ando, Claire, Peter and Hiro, all gathered around the funeral pire/bonfire to watch a fake Sylar body go up in flames. They all smiled and laughed (except Matt Parkman) as HRG dubbed them "The Company" - the next generation. One good thing that came of this all may be that they took away the flying power which was way overused in the past few volumes. Sure, quick travel around the globe is cool, but we need more than that as Heroes fans.

Volume 5 is dubbed "Redemption" and that seems a perfect title, as the writers and creator, Tim Kring, will really need to redeem themselves after treating fans to an entertaining yet watered down Volume 4. Speaking of watered down, it seems we know at least one of the new season's villains, another Strauss sister who can turn into and use water. Peter just might have full use of more than 1 power for a season. Also, Sylar will struggle to figure out he's trapped in Nathan's body, as he continues to toy with clocks. And in case we haven't seen it before, Claire will get mad at HRG who will say he did it to protect her, as Angela will tell Peter the same.

Heroes Season 3 - Episode 25: "An Invisible Thread"

Heroes opens with Suresh narrating about how each of the many people on the planet are unique and different. Scenes are shown again of Nathan being shot with tranquilizers by Danko before Sylar can cut into his skull. Hiro gets a nosebleed while trying to teleport he and Ando. Claire, HRG and Angela are traveling in a SUV down the road, when Angela awakes from a bad dream. She tells them Nathan's in trouble. HRG realizes they went through a fake roadblock a few miles back and stops the car. He tells Angela and Claire to head off 2 miles in the opposite direction, and gives Claire a phone saying he'll find them. Angela and Claire head off, and HRG drives down the road where he's stopped at a police barricade. A van pulls up behind his vehicle and armed soldiers get out to surround the car.

Danko is shown talking with Sylar who just got out of the bathrrom. Danko tells him he needs to become Agent Taub like he was told. Sylar says he's done listening to Danko. Danko shoves a metal knife in the back of Sylar's head and he collapses to the floor. Danko radios to get a cleanup crew but then cancels the orders as he sees Sylar moving again on the floor. Sylar gets up, pulls the knife out of his head and says "that hurt" as he looks at Danko. Danko draws his gun fast, but Sylar uses telekinesis to fling it across the room, then flings Danko up against a glass case, suspending him there. Sylar reveals that due to his new shapeshifting power he moved the "off switch" in the back of his head. Danko tells him to get it over with because his men are on their way. Sylar moves Nathan's body into the bathroom and says he'll kill him later after he absorbs all of his memories. Sylar says he has a date with destiny tomorrow, as Nathan, so he can shake the president's hand. Danko tells him he better kill him now because there's no way he'll allow that to happen. Sylar tells him there's no need to kill him, because he has another plan. He transforms into Danko as they hear men arriving to the office. Danko (Sylar) draws his gun goes out and fires a shot, shooting down one of their own agents. He goes back into the office and transforms into Agent Taub, lets Danko down, and draws his gun on him yelling for the other man that he got him.

Angela and Claire arrive at the Capitol Building despite being hunted by agents. Angela leaves Claire behind saying she needs to find Matt Parkman because in her dream he saves Nathan's life. Claire heads off to find Nathan.

Sylar gets dressed in a suit so he can become Nathan. He tells Nathan to wake up so he can get his memories. Nathan stays passed out so Sylar says to hell with it since he can get memories from Nathan's personal belongings. A secretary knocks and enters telling Nathan that his daughter is there to see him. Sylar changes to Nathan and says "send her in". Claire enters the office asking if Nathan found Sylar, but he says he got away. Claire gets suspicious asking how she knows she's not talking to Sylar right now. Sylar as Nathan touches her necklace and gets the memories of Mexico, to tell Claire she knows him better than anyone else. Claire smiles and apologizes as she's been reeled in. Nathan says he's heading to the Stanton Hotel. Claire asks to go along in case anything goes wrong, and to help stop Sylar. Sylar opens the bathroom door to grab a suit coat jacket, and Claire notices the body lying on the floor. Sylar closes the door and tells her its a good idea to come along, because if anything goes wrong he needs her by his side.

Danko is escorted by armed guards out of a van to Building 26. Ando and Hiro witness it. Hiro tells Ando he's feeling better now and just had a headache. Ando suggests Hiro is getting sick from using his powers. Ando says they'll use his power instead. Hiro says they need to stop time at least once more. Ando says maybe Hiro's head will explode if they're not careful. Hiro gets worried but says its a chance he will have to risk. Danko is led down the hallways in Building 26, as other agents see him and are shocked by it. Danko is shoved into a holding cell, and his cellmate happens to be HRG.

Nathan wakes up back at the office, and slowly gets up. Peter enters the office to find Nathan stumbling around. Nathan says they have to stop Sylar.

HRG talks with Danko about getting involved with Sylar. Danko tells HRG that Sylar moved the kill spot on the back of his head. Danko asked HRG how he dealt with all this, the inability to contain and capture all of these people. HRG says it's all about living in the gray area, which he learned in middle management and having an adopted daughter. HRG says Claire has helped him through it. HRG and Danko decide to work together, but before they can shake hands, time freezes. Ando and Hiro open the door and smile, then go to Building 26's main office to see agents stopped. Ando pulls he and Hiro's pictures off the bulletin board, then notices Hiro's ear is bleeding, but Hiro says he's just fine.

Hiro and Ando find the room where various heroes are restrained with nose apparatuses in them to prevent their powers from being used. They discover Mohinder Suresh and remove his nose piece, then replace him with an agent. Hiro unfreezes time, and HRG and Danko shake. They notice the open door and HRG realizes it was Hiro. Meanwhile, Ando tells Suresh about Hiro's recent problems. Suresh warns Hiro not to freeze time again because it's causing him these problems.

Nathan and Claire arrive to speak with the president. A colleague named Liam Samuels comes up and shakes hands with Nathan. Nathan signs with his left hand on a security check in, and Claire questions it.

HRG and Danko beging planning their attack to capture Sylar. Danko reveals some extra powerful tranquilizers that will put an elephant down. As HRG has his back to Danko, Danko prepares to inject one of the needles into HRG's neck. Just then time freezes, and Hiro injects a needle into Danko. HRG turns to see it, and also Hiro's nosebleed. HRG says to call 911, because he has to head off to the Stanton to stop Sylar.

HRG phones Claire who's in a hotel suite with the fake Nathan (Sylar). Nathan looks over at her and she finally answers the call. HRG asks Claire if she's ok and if she found Nathan. Claire says yes, and HRG asks how she knows it's him. Just then two Claires are shown on screen with Sylar as one, using his puppetry power to quiet Claire from speaking. Sylar turns into himself and tells HRG "because it's me". HRG is shocked as he stops in his tracks realizing it's Sylar.

Sylar is using his powers to make Claire serve him wine. Claire says Nathan is on the way to save her and then she'll kill him. Sylar says he's going to kill Nathan, then her mom and brother. Sylar begins discussing how he met his real dad. Sylar starts talking about how much they have in common, saying they were both adopted and can't die. Claire says he'll die, but Sylar says it'll take her hundreds of years. He begins to come on to Claire, saying she could be his first lady. Just then, Nathan and Peter arrive at the building and are stopped by security. The guard tells them Mr. Samuels said Nathan's already there. Nathan tells Samuels that Sylar's one of them, and shows Samuels he can levitate. The guards draw their guns on him, but Samuels tells them to stop. Nathan and Peter tell Samuels they're the only ones who can stop Sylar. Nathan suggests Peter needs to get close enough to Sylar to touch him and get his powers. Nathan and Peter head towards the hotel suite.

Peter and Nathan form their plan to take Sylar at different angles. They arrive at the hotel suite's doors but before they can open them, they open and Claire is thrown out of the room. She gets up and yells at Peter and Nathan to go. They head into the room where Sylar has his electricity power charged up. Nathan and Peter flie towards him with Sylar shooting lightning. The door shuts and Claire can only look through the crack in the door. She finally hears the fighting stop and opens the doors, but nobody's in there. Suddenly Peter gets up and is bleeding. Claire asks where Nathan and Sylar went. Peter tells her the window and that he can't fly after them. Claire helps Peter out of the room. After they've left, Nathan is flung back into the room through the window. Sylar returns and slits his throat. Nathan gasps for life and falls back into a chair as Sylar chuckles at him. Sylar exclaims Claire's going to be so mad at him, then leaves after transforming himself into Nathan again. The real Nathan appears to die in the chair.

Matt Parkman arrives to Washington, DC, where Angela Petrelli finds him getting off a bus. Angela tells Matt about her dream and how Matt needs to save Nathan. Matt says he can't because he needs to go stop the agents. Angela says they won't be able to do that without Nathan, so Matt finally agrees to go with her.

Peter and Claire are rushing to leave the hotel, but as they get to the elevator area, HRG rushes out and aims a gun at Claire. He asks Peter to tell him that's not Sylar. Peter tells HRG he just fought Sylar. Peter also says he gained Sylar's powers. Just then, 3 security guards show up, guns drawn at Claire, Peter and HRG. HRG tries to tell them the president's in danger but they still keep their guns aimed. Claire finally walks forward and puts her head to the one guard's gun and says to listen to her now or she'll tell him after he shoots her.

Matt and Angela infiltrate the hotel where Matt uses his power to convince a guard he's from the secret service. The guard lets them pass. Matt comes to the hotel room where Nathan's lying dead in a chair. He tries to prevent Angela from seeing it, but she goes in anyways and begins screaming out. Angela hugs Nathan's dead body. She says she doesn't understand because in her dream she was supposed to save him.

Nathan arrives in a kitchen area to meet with the president. Liam Samuels comes up and says he can't give him anymore time to stop Sylar, the president's waiting. Nathan says it's ok he doesn't have anymore time to give. Sylar disguises himself as Samuels and heads out to where the calvacade is leaving with the president in a limo. Samuels (Sylar) gets in, and tells the president it's good to see he's alright. He puts out his hand to shake, and the president shakes firmly, then suddenly Sylar begins morphing through the various people he's changed into, eventually becoming himself again. The president sticks a tranquilizer into Sylar's neck. The president transforms into Peter and reveals he took Sylar's shapeshifter abilities.

Matt, HRG and Angela have Sylar in the hotel suite. Angela and HRG try to convince Matt to use his powers to make Sylar appear as Nathan Petrelli to convince the president of their plan. Angela pleads with Matt to help them. HRG says they'll use a shapeshifter's body from Building 26 to look like Sylar's dead body. Matt finally agrees to it and tries to get inside Sylar's head. He starts telling him he's no longer Sylar, and that Sylar's dead, he's now Nathan Petrelli. Matt starts planting memories of Nathan into Sylar's head to make him believe he's Nathan. Suddenly, Sylar wakes up and is convulsing. He rolls onto his side and transforms into Nathan, then looks at Angela and says "mom?"

Suresh narrates about how we're all connected by an invisible thread, yet still individuals. The new Nathan, Angela and HRG set a fake Nathan's body to fire (shapeshifter). Hiro, Ando, Suresh, Claire, Peter, and Matt Parkman all watch the fake shapeshifter Sylar's body go up in flames. Nathan tells HRG the president agreed to everything, funding, research and deniability. Nathan said he told the president he found just the men to head up his Company. Ando notices Hiro having another headache, and Hiro tells them it's time to go home. HRG tells Claire "he's really dead" and Matt Parkman gives HRG a look of disgust. Volume four ends.

Volume Five - "Redemption" starts. It's six weeks later. Kent Harper a former Building 26 agent arrives home to find water is leaking all over the place in his kitchen. The water runs in a huge puddle towards the living room then begins to materialize into the form of a woman who looks like Tracy Strauss. She tells the agent "You're #4" and then kills him. Nathan aka Sylar is shown reading a newspaper about the latest murder. Angela enters the office saying she hasn't heard from him in weeks and was starting to worry. Nathan tells her he hasn't felt like himself lately. Angela tells him the world is his oyster now. Angela tells him to come along so they won't be late for lunch. Nathan walks over and looks at a clock and is fascinated by it. He says the clock is running a minute and a half fast, adjusts it and puts the case back on. Nathan prepares to leave, asking Angela if she wants Italian or Chinese. To be continued...

Season 3: Episode 24: "I Am Sylar"

The episode opens with Nathan, HRG, Angela, Claire and Peter eating at the cafe discussing how they'll regroup to set things straight. Claire notices Nathan is live on television, giving a press conference about the state of affairs with the hunting of "dangerous individuals". Nathan questions who it is, and HRG answers "Sylar".

We travel back 18 hours earlier to when Sylar wakes up and looks like the agent he was disguising himself as. Sylar questions "why does this keep happening?" and shakes himself back to his usual appearance. He reaches in his mouth and pulls a bloody tooth out, then asks "who are you?" as he looks in a mirror.

Matt Parkman has his baby and is on the phone to his ex-wife, the baby's mother. Matt promises to bring the baby back as soon as he can. Matt tells his ex-wife it's really good to hear her voice, and she ackwardly thanks him for his help before hanging up. Matt regroups with Hiro and Ando about what to do next. Hiro and Ando ask Matt to help them take down Building 26. Matt tells them to give it up and says he's afraid he won't see his son's first actions. Hiro asks Matt for the address for Building 26, but Matt says no because he doesn't them getting killed as it will be on his conscience. Hiro and Ando say their goodbyes as Matt leaves with the baby. Ando tells Hiro that Matt was right, they have no real plan. Hiro says a true hero never concedes defeat.

Sylar meets with Danko in the park. Danko says one of his agents claimed to have seen Sylar via surveillance cam. Sylar tells Danko he's losing himself and wakes up as Agent Taub. Sylar says the agent's a nothing and he doesn't like being a nothing. Danko reminds Sylar that as the agent he can come and go, kill as he pleases, but as Sylar he will be hunted down. Sylar transforms himself into the agent before Danko leaves. Sylar then cuts the words "I Am Sylar" into his arm as a reminder of just who he is exactly, but the cuts start to heal up due to his ability to heal from injury.

A man named Tom Miller is shown in Richmond, Virginia. He receives a text message from Rebel telling him to get out now. Just then, Sylar is shown walking down the hallway and next appears seated in Tom's place behind him. Tom warns Sylar not to startle him because he can hurt him. Sylar then reassures him that he knows he has an ability and is there to help. Tom shows him what he can do by placing a small figurine state on a table, then pinching his fingers together. As he concentrates the statue begins to shake then evaporates into little particles. Sylar tells Tom he needs to choose whether he wants to deal with the agents or him. Tom tells Sylar he chooses him. Sylar begins buzzsawing into the man's head and he screams. Just then Danko and several agents show up and rush down the hall. As they burst into the room they find Tom Miller dead on the floor with half his skull removed. On the wall written in blood is "I Am Sylar". Agent Taube remarks to Danko "that guy has some ego".

Back at homebase, Danko meets with Sylar in his office. Sylar gives Danko a cell phone which shows that Rebel just contacted Tom Miller. Danko asks Sylar for his help in taking Rebel down. Sylar is still upset about the fact he's having identity problems. Danko tells him that he's survived with all sorts of identities during his career, and suggests Sylar find an anchor to hang onto when he's lost. Danko shows Sylar a timepiece his father gave him 20 years ago. Sylar looks it over and identifies the timepiece and its inconsistency. He tells Danko it's the only power he ever truly owned himself.

Hiro and Ando attempt to break into Isaac Mendez' loft in the dark, by bypassing some motion detector lasers. During their talk, Ando calls himself the "Crimson Arc" his superhero alias. Hiro calls it "dangerous yet ladylike", and again they argue over the fact that Ando has a power. Ando tells Hiro he doesn't see him as an equal. Ando suggets maybe he should be a powerful hero on his own. Just then agents dressed all in black burst into the loft with their rifles and start firing. Hiro grabs Ando and they dive to the floor. The agents and their bullets all stop due to Hiro freezing time. He tells Ando he'll have to be bait, but just then Ando stands up and they realize he's not frozen with time. Ando says now he doesn't have to be bait.

A police officer brings some boxes of murder case information/evidence to Agent Taube (aka Sylar). The evidence inside the boxes is of Sylar's murdered mother, Virginia Gray. Sylar begins to examine the evidence piece by piece and remembers killing his mother vividly. He grabs a snowglobe and hurls it across the room, smashing it. Sylar's mother picks up the Eiffel tower which was in the snowglobe and says it was her favorite. Sylar begins to talk with his mother and confronts her about lying to him. Sylar tells her he knows the truth now about how he came about. His murdered mother said she wanted to protect him after what happened with his father. Sylar discusses his new power to be anyone he wants to be, and asks his mother why he feels so lost. His mother tells Sylar she loves him and wanted him from the start, because she knew how special he was. His mother's ghost tells him that now she's back. Just then a knock comes at the door, and Sylar's mother morphs back into Sylar. Sylar finds Danko at his door. Danko tells him they located Rebel and need Sylar's help, as agent Taube.

Ando discusses his excitement about being in Hiro's special world now. Hiro says it must be when Ando touched him he was able to participate in time stopping, just like Baby Matt Parkman was able to before. Ando begins to comment how he feels like Batman in Superman's special fortress. Ando also calls Hiro a fascist saying he never really accepted Ando as a superhero. Hiro puts his arm around Ando and walks him right into the line of a tranquilizer bullet, then unfreezes time. The tranquilizers fly full force into Ando's chest and he screams out. Hiro stops time again and finds one of the armed agent soldiers similar to his size.

Danko, Agent Taube and several other agents descend on a run down apartment area. They kill the power to the entire area, meaning there's no machines for Rebel to manipulate. Micah is shown inside one of the apartments, and begins to pack up his laptop and other items quickly. The agents begin to head towards the building, weapons drawn. One agent turns back and asks Agent Taube if he's coming, but finds Taube is already gone. As Micah turns to leave inside his apartment room, Sylar is standing there in his path. Sylar jokes that Rebel is just a kid. Micah says he knows who Sylar is and Sylar says that's doubtful. Micah says the people Sylar works with now don't know him and how special he really is. Micah tells Sylar he can save them all. Just then they hear the agents coming towards the room.

On the Baltimore/Washington Parkway, a van is escorting Ando back to Building 26. Hiro freezes time and pulls the medication tube out of Ando's nose. Ando's upset at how Hiro used him like this, but Hiro tells him just to play possum. As Hiro resumes time and Ando plays unconscious, one of the other soldiers asks Hiro when he started wearing glasses. The van is shown full of pink/reddish electricity as it swerves side to side. Ando tells Hiro they were about to tazer him. Hiro says it's time for Plan B. He grabs a GPS device and says they will go where the men were heading using the device.

Back at the apartments where Rebel was hiding out, Danko and his men begin chasing Micah down a pier. Soon a second Micah is revealed ducking behind some large cargo containers watching the men aim their rifle sights on the other Micah. Danko gives the order to one of his men to take him down, and the man fires a tranquilizer into Micah #2, who falls into the water. Danko and his men see no sign of him in the water, as the real Micah takes off running. Sylar shows up later on and Danko says it's not like him to let one of the heroes get away without taking his powers. Sylar says he didn't want to be able to talk to machines, and convinces Danko that Rebel must be dead. Danko tells him they have intel on several more dangerous individuals and Sylar will need to start hunting them down.

Back at Sylar's place Micah oversees Sylar turning into his own mother and back again. Sylar's having a conversation about why he chose to save Micah, then realizes he's being watched. Micah asks Sylar how he is able to shapeshift and says his mother had a similar issue which drove her crazy. Sylar tells Micah he's not his mother. Micah tells Sylar he can use the power to become someone who makes a difference, like Nathan Petrelli. Micah suggests that Sylar tell the president that he made a big mistake. Sylar angrily tells Micah he should leave now and that if he returns, he'll kill him.

Sylar peruses Nathan Petrelli's office and continues changing into his mother who he murdered. Sylar remarks that Nathan was given everything, money, education, family. Sylar's mom tells him that he can be special on his own without anyone's help. She tells Sylar it was an accident that he killed her, but he tells her it wasn't. He tells her she was the only one who loved him, and his mother says that's how he lost himself and why he brought her back into his life. His mother tells him that she forgives him for what he did. Sylar's mother tells him he can be anything he wants, Senator, or President of the United States. Sylar realizes she's right and morphs himself into Nathan Petrelli, saying he won't let his mother down.

Matt Parkman arrives with the baby at Janice's home, but Janice is out. Matt begins telling the baby how he and the baby's mother got along really well before. Just then Janice comes in and rushes over to hug the baby. Matt and Janice hug, saying it was good to see each other. Matt begins to sense that they're being watched and Janice says they can go to her parent's lakehouse. Matt says he wants to come too, to be part of the baby's life. Janice tells him they have a lot to discuss.

A press conference is held by Nathan Petrelli (Sylar in shapeshifting form). He begins talking about shaking up the power structure in Washington. Nathan says he's tried to contact the president but the president hasn't been interested in talking to him. Nathan says he's ready and willing to meet with the president, and once they shake hands, real change will start to come to the country. Angela, Peter, HRG, Claire and Nathan are shown watching this at the Cafe in Coyote Sands.

HRG tells them all how Sylar's a shapeshifter and is about to become the most powerful man in the nation. Nathan says he needs to set things right and get to the president before him. The rest of the group offer to help but Nathan wants to do it on his own. HRG says Sylar will expect him to come, and be waiting for him. Peter tells Nathan he'll go with him. Nathan says he started it and he'll end it. He gets up and leaves the cafe, but Peter follows after him.

Ando and Hiro arrive at Building 26. Ando tells Hiro no more using him as bait, and Hiro agrees. Hiro says he will be partners with him, and they prepare to teleport with Ando touching Hiro's shoulder. Suddenly, Hiro is in pain and has a bad nosebleed. He tells Ando his head hurts really bad.

Back at Janice's apartment, Matt finds his old badge from the police force. Janice says she's ready to leave. Matt tells her he can't go yet, he has to go and end things with the other side. Matt says he wants a chance at a life together with Janice and the baby. They start to embrace, but Matt senses the soldiers are coming. The soldiers burst into the home, but Matt assures Janice he'll protect her and the baby from them.

The real Nathan rushes to his office and begins looking for something in drawers. Sylar shows up behind him holding a gun up. Nathan tells him "get the hell out of my body". Sylar, as fake Nathan, begins psychoanalyzing telling real Nathan that he hates himself so much. Sylar reverts back to his normal self, telling Nathan he's taken a stroll through his life. Sylar informs Nathan he's had an ability to analyze objects and see someone's history. He tells Nathan he can see he's been a bad boy, deceiving his various family members. Nathan calls Sylar a psychopath and says he's the reason Nathan went to the president to begin with, to hunt down dangerous individuals. Nathan says nobody will believe Sylar's him, but Sylar says he won't be Nathan, he'll be better than him. He bids Nathan farewell and gets ready to buzzsaw into his skull, but just then a rifle shot goes off and Nathan drops to the floor. Danko is shown in the office, and tells Sylar they need to handle a US Senator more delicately. He tells Sylar to become agent Taub again so they can move out and start taking down all the others.

Just then as the show is ending, various scenes are shown. Mohinder Suresh is stil lin Coyote Sands at nighttime in the dark looking at the information left by his father, trying to piece things together. Agents descend on him and shoot him up with tranquilizers. HRG, Claire and Angela are shown in a car speeding down the highway, but they arrive at a police checkpoint. A van is behind them, and soldiers jump out surrounding the car as they're stopped. Hiro is shown still bleeding from his nose, as he and Ando are near a corner of Building 26. Matt Parkman uses his mental powers to manipulate the soliders in Janice's home, making them walk right past he, Janice and the baby.

Sylar comes out of the bathroom in Nathan Petrelli's office as himself. Nathan Petrelli is shown on the floor with tranquilizers in him. Danko tells him he asked Sylar to become Taub again. Sylar says he's not listening to him anymore. Just then, Danko sticks a knife into the back of Sylar's head and Sylar collapses to the ground. Danko begins to radio for someone to bring a cleanup crew to Nathan's office. Just then he notices Sylar start moving and tells the agent to hold off on the orders. Sylar slowly gets back up and pulls the knife out of the back of his head. He looks at the knife, then Danko and says "that hurt". To be continued...

Season 3: Episode 23: "1961"

Chapter 10 of Heroes Seaons 3 called "1961" flashes back almost 50 years ago into the pasts of Angela Petrelli and her sister Alice who were part of government experiments and studies on "people with extraordinary abilities". It also involves Dr. Suresh (Mohinder's father) as well as founding members of "The Company" such as Charles Deveraux, Bobby Bishop and Mr. Linderman.

The setting is Coyote Sands, where currently Peter, Nathan, Claire and HRG are digging up grave sites. HRG finds some sort of bracelet in the grave he digs up. Claire tries to talk Peter into forgiving Nathan, while Peter isn't having it. He goes to comfort Angela and ask why she brought them there. Angela says she brought them to find her sister.

The scene flashes back to February 1961, where a bus arrives at Coyote Sands Relocation Center. Dr. Chandra Suresh is checking in the various "guests" including a young Angela (Shaw) and her sister Alice Shaw. Suresh claims he came a long way from Bombay, India to help them. Angela notices there are armed guards and Suresh says it is for their own safety. Charles Deveraux, Bobby Bishop and Daniel Linderman stop by to officially welcome Angela and Alice to the camp. Alice is upset to be away from their parents and home. Angela tells them it'll be fun then finds in Alice's suitcase toys and books including "Alice in Wonderland". Angela and Alice make a pact to always be there for each other. As the scene shifts back to present day, Angela tells Peter they need to be a family again. Just then, a hand is shown moving aside a curtain so someone can look out the window at them.

Angela recalls that in 61 the government found out about those with abilities and said they could help them, by curing them. She says things went horribly wrong, and many people died. Angela says recently she's had dreams of her sister, still alive. Peter is mad she didn't tell them about the sister before but Angela says it was to protect them. She also reveals that the Company formed out of this, a pact to never let something this bad happen again. Claire asks HRG if he was part of trying to help with this, and he says yes, but Claire says he blew it. Angela says they had to commit certain necessary evils to keep things safe. Peter, still angry says the Company tore the family apart. Peter flies off and Nathan goes after him.

Deveraux, Bishop and Linderman find Angela outside one night. They talk about her having a nightmare regarding the Coyote Sands area, which Angela won't tell them about. Linderman notices a scar on her leg and touches her leg, showing his power to heal. Charles Deveraux tells her to stop being scared and start believing. Angela tells them not to trust Dr. Suresh. Alice comes out of their cabin asking what's going on, so Angela goes to get her to sleep. Alice confesses she overheard what Angela said. As they're laying in their beds, Alice also confesses her ability to control weather and makes a small snow storm start outside the window.

Angela and Claire have some alone time, with Angela saying she's envious of Claire's courage and confidence, which she wishes she had. Claire asks why she couldn't tell Peter or Nathan about all this before. Angela says she feels she did something so awful, that she's so ashamed of she couldn't possibly talk about it. Just then, heavy winds start up outside causing dust and limited visibility outside. Angela says she saw this in her dream. Claire ushers her back inside as the storm intensifies.

Nathan and Peter meet at a cafe down the road, where Nathan asks for forgiveness. Peter reminds him of how their father offered two playoff tickets and two World Series tickets to them. Peter says he feels Nathan conned him into going to the playoff games instead of the series. Nathan suggests they need to try to forgive each other, and Peter says he's trying hard. Just then an Emergency news statement comes on a TV saying that there's a major storm.

HRG is out and about in the heavy winds at Coyote Sand yelling for Claire. Just then something hits him and knocks him down. He's dragged into a building and Mohinder is there, accusing him of trying to hunt him down. HRG says he's not with the project now. Suresh says he found a folder that his father was here at Coyote Sands. HRG tells him of the grave sites and hundreds dead.

Back to 1961, Dr. Suresh meets with Angela separately in a building to gauge her abilities to tell him the symbols on cards he holds up. Angela gets them 100%, then says she had a dream about all this earlier. Angela says the dreams are confusing, and confesses having a horrible dream that Dr. Suresh is going to kill everyone there. Angela says things are going to get out of control even though he's a good man. Suresh says they need this project so these people can become contributing members of society. He tells her her dreams are confusing and prepares to inject her with a needle.

In present day, Claire tries to argue that this is just a storm, while Angela knows its her sister. She leaves to find her with Claire telling her its too dangerous. Claire leaves the building as the storm suddenly subsides. There's no sign of Angela as Peter and Nathan fly in to hear the news.

Suresh is upset at the fact his father may have murdered all the people at Coyote Sands. HRG tries to convince him that he may have had good intentions and just because he worked with the enemy doesn't mean he was one of them. Claire, Nathan and Peter arrive. They all split up to look for Angela.

Suresh goes off with Peter, with Suresh still discussing how depressing it is to learn what his father was up to. Peter tells him to stop being so hard on himself. Suresh says he's weak, corruptible and selfish. Peter says his mother wants to start a new Company for their own protection. Suresh says he needs to learn redemption is possible, even for Nathan.

Claire, HRG and Nathan go off separately. HRG informs Nathan of Sylar's new shapeshifting ability to be anyone, anytime. Claire finds an Alice in Wonderland book cover and asks her two dads when the last time they remember going to a movie or reading her a story. Claire says she tried to become an agent but it was a bad move, because she was only trying to impress them. Claire regrets trying to grow up too fast.

Things flashback to 1961 again, with Deveraux telling Angela they need to escape. Charles tells her that Alice can't go along because she'll only slow them down. He tells Angela to lie to her sister about them leaving tonight. Angela goes and tells Alice she's going to sneak out for a bit with the boys tonight. Angela then lies saying she had a dream that Alice will be safe there and not to be scared. Angela leaves to sneak off.

In present day, Angela finds a dwelling full of all sorts of books and objects including the original Alice in Wonderland book her sister brought to Coyote Sands. Just then, a person begins coming down the stairs and comes face to face with Angela. Angela realizes its her sister Alice and begins to tear up.

Alice doesn't speak to Angela just yet, but instead begins to play an older song on the record player. Things flash back to Coyote Sands cafe on the night things went horribly wrong. Angela is meeting with Bishop, Deveraux and Linderman. Deveraux asks Angela to dance since she missed her prom. Angela is surprised Charles knew this without her telling him. People in the cafe begin staring that an African American is dancing with a Caucasian girl. The cook tells them they don't allow "colors dancing like this" in the cafe. Deveraux looks at him and then loudly tells everyone looking at them to forget this ever happened. Everyone goes back to what they were doing, and Deveraux's ability has now been shown. Just then, a warning comes on a TV about the weather getting worse. Angela says they must get back to Alice.

In present day, Alice tells her sister that yes she's alive still. Angela asks how this is possible. Alice tells her she found this building packed with food, then as that ran out she stole all the things she needed. Angela asks why she stayed and Alice says it's because Angela told her she'd be safe if she stayed there. Alice says she felt the world would be safe from her. She then recalls that Dr. Suresh tried to inject her with a needle, but she became scared and started a storm which shot them back with lightning. Alice ran outside with Suresh chasing her. He grabbed her by the arm and after a struggle slapped her. Alice's father rushed over and used his hand to blast Suresh back with some sort of force. Just then, he was shot by armed guards and shots began ringing out amongst people's screams. Alice hid under a building to witness it all.

Angela tells her sister in present day she no longer has to stay there anymore. Angela reveals that she still steals socks for her as a reminder to protect the ones she loves. Alice tells Angela it's not her fault, but Angela confesses she lied to protect her. Alice becomes enraged and unleashes a storm. She blasts Angela away, as Peter and Suresh rush in to try to help. Suresh gets blasted back as Peter tries to help out. Angela tries to calm Alice down, asking her not to punish everyone else for her mistakes. She tells Alice she's got a family now. Alice eventually stops the storm. Angela tells her to say goodbye to this place and come home with her, but Alice says no and rushes outside. Angela goes out after her but she's vanished.

It's now night time and Peter is asking Suresh to come back with them. Suresh says he's not ready to go and is still soul searching after learning of what his father was involved in. Peter hands him a canister of old film saying it may shed some light on his father's participation. They shake hands and Peter leaves Suresh at Coyote Sands.

Back in 1961, Angela, Deveraux, Bishop and Linderman meet at the local cafe. Angela reveals she had a dream they will form a company to protect themselves and others. Deveraux asks what they'll do, and Angela says whatever they have to, even necessary evils.

After the story's been told, HRG, Nathan, Peter, Angela and Claire are all having dinner at the same cafe. Peter proclaims that they're not a Company, but a family, which has a capacity for forgiveness. Peter suggests they're better together as a unit and need to work to make themselves a secret. HRG adds in they need to try to get their lives put back together too. Nathan suggests for the next part of the plan he'll head back to DC to try to talk to the president. Just then, Claire notices on the cafe's TV that Nathan is speaking at a press conference. HRG says its Sylar, as the episode concludes. To be Continued...

Episode 22: "Turn and Face the Strange"

The episode opens with HRG unzipping the body bag to check on Sylar's dead body. Danko walks in and HRG asks how he pulled off the kill. Danko says he used to a metal spike to do the trick. HRG comments how last time they used a shard of glass in the back of Sylar's head but the Primatech fire melted it. Danko quips that maybe HRG didn't really want to catch Sylar. Just then, a woman comes in telling Bennet his wife's there to visit. HRG's surprised and Danko says to send her up.

Hiro and Ando are trying to bring the baby to find Matt Parkman Sr. Ando says there's no leads at any of the Parkman numbers he's called. Just then the SUV Hiro's driving loses power as the baby goes into a crying fit.

Suresh tells Matt Parkman he's heading to India and suggests Matt come along. Matt says no thanks as he loads a gun. Suresh tries to talk him out of going after the agents. Matt claims Emile Danko was responsible for Daphne's murder, so now it's time for him to hurt. Matt gives Suresh a hug saying he's been a good friend, then bids farewell.

HRG meets with Sandra out in the hallway. Sandra begins to cause a scene saying Claire is missing and she hasn't even heard from him about it. HRG assures her that Claire's safe and says he saw Sylar's body but not sure it's really his. Just then, Danko interrupts to meet Sandra. He says he's seen her picture and Sandra quips that he probably saw it from the surveillance cameras. HRG suggests that Sandra stay in Costa Verde. Sandra tells HRG she's staying at the Regency hotel and not leaving til HRG finds Claire.

Danko is in the men's room when another version of him comes in, which is Sylar using his shapeshifter power. Sylar jokes about how fun it was being Danko, and Danko tells him what he's doing is dangerous. Danko said he's not going to be part of Sylar killing Bennet. Sylar says he won't kill him, he'll destroy him.

Angela Petrelli contacts HRG about her dream involving Coyote Sands. HRG said anyone who he ever asked about it said he should never ask again. Angela tells HRG that she and Peter are headed to Coyote Sands and she wants him to come meet them, so that everyone can know the truth finally. HRG says he has loose ends to tie up, and that a body was brought in which they say is Sylar's. He says there's one way to prove it. Angela screams for Bennet to leave it alone, but HRG goes into the room to find the body missing. A woman in there says they took all the bodies to the crematorium for BBQ day.

Suresh goes to his old apartment. When he opens the door he finds it abandoned, with all his items taken away. A man comes in who is the landlord. Suresh asks where all his papers and father's work went. The man says homeland security took it and asked for a call if Suresh or Parkman showed up there. Suresh says he'll implicate the landlord if he calls them. The man suggests Suresh get out of there and tells him there's some papers his father left in storage.

Hiro and Ando try to hitch a ride with the baby. Ando tells them it never works, and just then a big tractor trailer stops to pick them up. The driver is Japanese but speaks to them in English saying his name's Sam Douglas from Lubbock, Texas. Hiro says they're trying to get to the East coast to find the baby's father. The driver says he knows a mechanic in a nearby town who can fix their car up. The baby starts crying maniacally and the truck halts to a stop. Ando and Hiro realize the baby has to be happy to make things work.

Matt Parkman is parked outside of Building 26 as Emile Danko walks outside. Matt begins using his thought control to make Danko sense something is wrong. He instructs him to go check on the person closest to him to make sure they're ok. Danko hails a cab and Parkman follows them.

HRG shows up at the crematorium to stop the men with the body supposed to be Sylar's. The agents ask what's going on as Bennet finds the bodybag with Sylar's body in it. He tells the agents to draw their weapons and keep their laser sights on Sylar's head as he pulls the metal spike out of the back of the man's head. They wait for a few moments and HRG realizes it's not really Sylar. He tells the men to send the metal spike in for DNA testing and says not to cremate the body. The agent says he has a signed order, and HRG asks the dead body, "Who are you?"

Parkman follows Danko to a residence. Danko hugs a woman who answers the door, calling her Alena and asks her if everything is ok. The woman and Danko go inside. Matt grabs his pistol from the glove box.

HRG meets with Sandra again as she shows up at his place. She tells him she spoke to Claire about a half hour ago. Sandra gives HRG divorce papers. HRG is upset and tells her not to throw away 22 years of marriage. HRG tells her they owe it to Claire and Lyle to try to pull things together. Sandra calls HRG a liar and betrayer who doesn't care about the family. Sandra says she doesn't love, trust or respect him anymore, then leaves. As Sandra's walking down the street into an alley, all of a sudden it's revealed that the woman was really Sylar using his shapeshifter powers to deceive HRG.

Hiro, Ando and the truck driver are stopped with the baby seated outside the truck. The driver says he needs to get going with his cargo, so he wishes them good luck and leaves. Hiro and Ando try all they can to entertain the baby and make it stop crying. Finally it stops crying as Ando makes a funny face. Hiro shoves Ando in the back, where Ando has to keep making the face to keep the baby happy.

Danko meets with Alena. She calls him "Jakob". He tells her he has to get going back to Chicago tonight due to a mix up at the warehouse. Parkman hides around the corner, as a car comes to pick up Danko. As Danko leaves in the car, Matt enters the woman's home with his gun drawn. He prepares to shoot her but can't bring himself to do it and stops. Just then she turns around and asks how he got in her home. Matt apologizes saying "sorry this was a bad idea". Alena asked if the escort service sent him over. Matt is surprised by this and asks if the man who was just there was a client also. She says his name is "Jakob Prodasa". Matt plants the thought in her head that he works with Jakob and he asked him to come over to meet. Alena insists that Parkman stays.

HRG is still shaken up over being divorced. He looks over the divorce papers, then uses his computer to compare the signature on it with Sandra's real signature. He notices it doesn't match up. HRG calls in for the DNA test results on Sylar's body and the man on the other end tells him the results came back as James Martin's DNA. HRG pulls up Martin's picture, thanking the agent for his help. HRG realizes Sylar is a shapeshifter now.

Matt questions the woman about her relationship with Jakob. She says they've known each other for a while. She also says Danko told her about his wife and two kids. Alena says Jakob loves her, and will come back to be in her life. Matt tells the woman Jakob doesn't deserve her. Matt tells her that whatever Jakob (Danko) has told her is probably a lie. The woman becomes frightened so Matt says he'll show her all about Danko.

Hiro finally gets through a call to Suresh. Hiro asks Suresh where Matt Parkman is now. Suresh says he's still in DC, but that Matt is on a dangerous course. Hiro says they need to save him. Suresh says he's tried but it didn't work. He gives Hiro the last known address for Parkman before the pull away. As they leave, around the other side of a stand of maps and information, Claire and Nathan just happen to be looking for Coyote Sands. Claire points it out and asks why they have to meet Angela there. Nathan says when her grandmother has a dream, they need to pay attention.

Suresh finds the papers his father left behind regarding "Project Icarus" which was worked on at Coyote Sands. Suresh opens a file folder to see that his father was there in Coyote Sands.

Sandra Bennet arrives home at night. As she puts her keys and purse down someone comes up behind her with a gun, sticking it against the back of her head. She becomes scared and tells them there's money in her purse. The voice which is HRG',s, says he's not there for her money. Sandra realizes who it is. HRG says if she says another word she dies. Sandra asks him what he's doing and HRG angrily begins accusing her of being Sylar in disguise. Sandra starts yelling out bits of info that only she and HRG would know. HRG accuses her of being Sylar still, until their son Lyle calls asking where the pills for Mr. Muggles are. Sandra tells HRG the exact location and to get the brown ones not the green. HRG relays the message then realizes it really is Sandra. He tries to explain to her how Sylar is a shapeshifter and fooled him. Sandra tells him to leave regardless of the fact she believes him. HRG leaves and Sandra locks the door behind him.

Alena shows up at Danko's apartment in DC. He's surprised by her visit as she starts asking if he really lives there. Danko asks how she got there, and Matt Parkman reveals himself with a gun in hand. He tells them both to get in the apartment. Danko asks Matt if this is what he's been reduced to. Danko tries to convince Alena that Matt makes people believe lies. Matt says he's used to working around basket cases like Danko from his years as a cop. Matt tells Alena that Danko kills people for a living. Alena asks Jakob (Danko) if this is true. Matt begins using his power to make Danko confess to not really being Jakob and to how he let Daphne die when he had a choice. Matt realizes Danko really cares about Alena and points the gun at her. Danko tells him to go ahead if he thinks it will make a difference in things. Matt apologizes to Alena as he begins to break down in tears saying in Danko's world there's no room for mercy. Matt drops the gun, and Danko quickly grabs his gun. He aims at Matt. Parkman tells him to go ahead and finish it. Alena pleads for Danko not to do it, but the shot fires. The bullet freezes midway between the gun and Parkman. Hiro enters the scene and says "Close one", then finds a desk chair with wheels. He sits Matt down in it and wheels him out of the room. As time starts again, the bullet hits into the fireplace/mantel. Danko rushes out of the room with no sign of Parkman, then returns to the room. Alena calls him a monster telling him to stay away from her.

HRG waltzes into the Building 26 offices all smiles. He goes into Danko's office and Danko asks him "what is it Bennet?" HRG says "guess again", then tells Danko how he went to Bennet's apartment and told the doorman he forgot his key. He hands a file folder to Danko which is Bennet's old Primatech file. Sylar says Bennet's been holding out on him. Danko says he isn't surprised, thinking HRG is really Sylar. Danko begins looking over the file folder, and HRG pulls a gun right on him. It's the real HRG, and he lets Danko know that he is aware of how they killed James Martin. Danko asks what he wants and HRG says Sylar on a platter. Danko reveals that Sylar's been disguised as one of the team leader agents, and they're currently on a mission. He says they'll be back in an hour, so HRG says they'll both wait for them to return to homebase.

Matt tells Hiro he didn't have to rescue him. Hiro begins to tell Matt they're not like the government agents because they don't always need to get retribution. Matt seems despressed but just then they turn the corner and Ando is sitting in the field with the baby in his arms. Matt asks them what's with the kid, and they reveal it's Matt's son. Matt picks him up and is overjoyed. Hiro tells him this is the reason Matt can't give up on things, telling Matt his son also has a power.

As Agent Donner enters a room with some other agents, HRG and Danko arrive to the scene. HRG tells Donner he wanted to congratulate him on all the recent victories they've had. Donner thanks HRG and as he turns away from him, HRG sticks a gun at the back of his head. He tells the other men that this man is Sylar as a shapeshifter. HRG orders them to get their sights locked on the back of the man's head. HRG tells Danko to confirm it, but Danko says he has no idea what Bennet's talking about. Just then one of the other agents senses HRG is going to shoot so he strikes his arm. HRG's gun goes off shooting Donner in the back. HRG tells everyone now he'll prove it's Sylar because the man will heal. The agent continues to lay in a pool of his own blood, not moving. Danko kneels down to check his pulse and confirms the man is dead. Danko says Sylar was never in the building and accuses HRG of killing an innocent agent. HRG grabs Danko and points his gun at him forcing the agents to put their weapons down. HRG backs way then shoves Danko and takes off running to the outside, into the streets pushing down people in his way frantically. Danko orders the men to go after him.

Danko is shown again in the room where Agent Donner was shot. He says he didn't have a lot of options and had to direct him somewhere. Just then, the agent is shown on the ground and he gets up out of the pool of blood. It's Sylar and he spits out the bullet. Sylar says he could have told HRG that Sylar was posing as Agent Foster. Danko said then Foster would be dead. Danko is surprised at how much blood came out of Sylar, and Sylar says he squeezed out some extra for show.

HRG phones Sandra telling her he misses her and the family. He says he can't leave her this number because all his numbers are burned. HRG promises to call again when things are safer.

Suresh begins packing up for Coyote Sands. Ando and Hiro continue to travel with Matt Parkman. Danko phones Alena, saying he understands she must feel angry and betrayed, but that Jakob Prodasa is the man he wants to be. Alena is shown leaving her home as Danko continues leaving her a message. He says he's begging for a chance to prove himself, just as Alena puts her luggage into a taxi and leaves.

Angela and Peter show up at Coyote Sands, an old desserted town. Just then, Nathan and Claire arrive from the sky. Peter is upset that Angela called Nathan to meet them. Angela says he's family and needs to be there. Claire rushes over to calm Peter down. Angela tells them that in order to understand the future they'll need to understand the past. She opens the back door of the van and grabs shovels, telling them to find out they have to dig.

The episode ends with Suresh narrating about the myth of Icarus, a boy who was warned not to fly too close to the sun by his father. The boy didn't listen and ended up burning off his wax wings when he flew too close to the sun. The Petrellis are shown digging in the dirt at nighttime in Coyote Sands. Nathan suddenly stops digging as he finds a human skull. Angela nearly passes out. Peter asks if she knew the person and Angela responds she knew "all of them". Nathan asks how many there are and she tells them to keep digging. Just then a car pulls up. Claire rushes over to see it and HRG gets out. The scene pans to a wide view of several graves with skeletal remains being revealed. To be continued....

Heroes Season 3: Episode 21: "Into Asylum"

Nathan flies Claire to Mexico so the two of them can hideout now that Danko's taken over. Nathan tells her they'll need to lay low there and stick together. Nathan says he'll make some calls to try to help the other heroes. He uses his remaining cash to buy them one night stay at a run down hotel. Despite his offer to get Claire a taco at a local cantina, Claire asks him how with no money. Nathan suggests they stay together but Claire takes off for a walk on her own.

Peter flies his mother Angela Petrelli into an alley near a huge cathedral. He tells her he didn't save her to be a good son but instead to get some answers out of her. Angela says she's looking for answers herself so she had him bring her here. It starts pouring rain and Angela goes towards the towering cathedral.

In Arlington, Virginia, HRG and Danko are at the scene where two agents have been shot in the back. Another agent, agent Jenkins, is recalling the story to Danko, then pukes at the site of the dead bodies. Danko sends him back to headquarters then talks to HRG, telling him that the intended target was James Martin a 32 year old Geometry teacher. HRG asks what his ability is and Danko says "unknown" but that his DNA set off a red flag. HRG questions him for sending in men blind when they have no clue what tactic to use to take the man down. Danko reminds HRG that the orders are to "take them all in", and that HRG botched the last mission to get Rebel. Danko tells HRG he needs a win a lot more than himself.

As Danko gets in his car and lights a cigarette on a rainy day, he's surprised by Sylar who's sitting in the backseat. Sylar asks about the gifts he left for Danko, then says it was incentive for them to join forces. Sylar says they both want to kill the same sorts of people and that Danko fascinates him but is in way over his head. Sylar offers to find the guy who killed Danko's agents. Danko tries to pull a gun on Sylar but to no avail, Sylar's disappeared. Danko drives off and Sylar is shown up on a high rooftop with rain pouring on him.

Back at headquarters, Danko instructs the agents to find the man who killed the other agents at all costs. Danko replaces Sylar's picture with the other man's picture. Danko and HRG discuss plans to catch the heroes. HRG discusses the concept of "one of us one of them" telling Danko the idea of gaining their trust to use it to their advantage in catching other heroes. After discussing manipulation, HRG tells Danko he believes Sylar is in DC. Danko jokes about how Sylar slipped through HRG's fingers numerous times and gives him the task of tracking down Angela Petrelli instead.

Claire meets up with Nathan at the cantina and slaps down a wad of cash on the counter for him, saying she sold the necklace HRG gave her. Nathan chastises her for doing that, but Claire says HRG would have been proud of her survival skills. Nathan and Claire discuss why he gave her a free pass, with Nathan saying he had his reasons. Nathan picks up the cash and goes over to a nearby group of college men asking if they're drinking tequila.

Peter follows Angela into the church which has a mass service just ending. Peter sits with Angela and asks if she thinks a church will stop agents from coming. Angela says she's been unable to sleep, and when she can't sleep she can't dream to see what's going to happen. Angela says she needs natural sleep, not a pill, and always found peace at the church. Angela brings up how awful she's made things between all of the family, with Nathan, Peter and her all at odds. She says she's not sure God has it in him to forgive her.

Nathan enters into a drinking contest with the college guys at the cantina to try to get more cash for he and Claire. Claire tries to stop him but Nathan says he's done this before, then puts $100 down to take more shots of tequila, as Claire stands back to watch.

Danko's in his office when Agent Jenkins comes in. Jenkins tells Danko what he said about the slain agents earlier was inspirational, then shakes Danko's hand. A cell phone starts ringing which Danko finds on top of a cardboard box. He answers to find its Sylar calling in. Danko says he doesn't need his help, but Sylar says he researched the killer they're trying to find. Sylar tells Danko to open the box and he'll find out another agent was murdered that wasn't found at the scene. Sylar reveals that James Martin is a shapeshifter and as Danko opens the box he finds the head of the real Agent Jenkins. The man who visited with Danko moments ago (the shapeshifter) is seen hustling out of the office building. Danko gets off the phone and rushes into the office, ordering men to follow him out.

Danko calls in to a woman watching surveillance video cam feeds from inside Building 26 to find out where the fake agent Jenkins (shapeshifter) took off to. Danko and his men head out towards the parking garage to give chase. Meanwhile, James Martin the shapeshifter, bumps into a janitor and touches his arm briefly. Martin begins convulsing as he continues running, and is able to transform himself into the janitor. He rushes out through a door setting off security alarms. Martin disappears into the crowded streets with his new disguised self. Danko and his men are unable to spot him.

Peter and Angela share a mother-son bonding moment. Peter brings Angela a warm coat from nearby. She begins discussing how she could have given Peter answers when he was growing up all confused, but she didn't. She says Peter must hate her. Peter says he doesn't hate her as she's still his mother no matter what. Peter goes to find some tea for Angela to help her sleep.

Nathan continues going shot for shot with one college guy. The other college guys have either left or faded out. Claire comes over telling them to call it a draw since they don't look so good. Nathan says "nonesense" but as he takes another drink he passes out on the table. The other guy laughs telling Claire to take her old man to bed. Claire asks for a rematch and offers Nathan's watch as the prize. The college guy says he's 22 shots deep, so Claire says she needs to catch up and starts downing shots.

Danko is waiting at James Martin's apartment where Sylar shows up. Danko aims his gun at Sylar saying he's not the only one able to get the drop on someone. He and Sylar go back and forth discussing how Danko needs Sylar's help to round up all the other heroes that are being chased down. Danko suggests that Sylar just wants the shapeshifting power so he can become someone else and use it as an escape hatch.
In the church, Angela continues praying. Peter walks over to a statue of Jesus and begins having a conversation about how he asked to be extraordinary so he could help do good things for the world. Peter says he lived up to his end of the bargain but now he's running for his life and people are dying. Peter says he's angry at everyone, Nathan, his father, his mother and even God. Peter says they had a deal and he needs him to show up for his end of the deal. Just then several agents show up inside the church with one saying to lock the perimeter down. Angela turns and sees whats going on, then Peter quickly walks over to her. He gets her up and the two go and hide in the confessionals.

Sylar and Danko begin going through James Martin's belongings at his apartment. Sylar pulls several different outfits and costumes out of the closet including an Armani suit and a priest's robe. Sylar says the common denominator is Martin likes to become people of power so he can have beautiful women. He finds a bunch of photos showing Martin as different people with different beautiful women. At the same time, Sylar and Danko find matchbooks with the name of a location Garden of Eden. They decide Martin must be there looking for new love.

Claire continues to outdrink the college guy who seems amazed she doesn't even seem drunk after all of that. She begins to fake being drunk so it's more believable and starts going off about how she wishes her dad would take off his shining armor and stop thinking he knows how to connect with her. The college guy eventually collapses to the floor and Claire grabs the cash she won. She wakes Nathan saying they need to go.

Angela in the confessional begins to tell Peter that she had plans to be a teacher but then her dreaming started to happen. Angela says she dreamt of a bloody future, the apocolypse but nobody would believe her. She said she needed to do something to save the world but it ended up with her dividing her friends and family because she used manipulation and lies. Just then the door to her confessional opens with Peter startled thinking she's going to be captured. HRG is standing there and looks at Angela, then yells back "all clear" to the other men.

At the Garden of Eden, Sylar and Danko enter to find the shapeshifter James Martin. Inside the club with loud dance music blaring, Sylar chuckles then tells Danko he's spotted Martin. Danko asks which person he is. Sylar says it fits the pattern, position of power, then nods over towards a booth where a man who looks just like Danko is seated, wooing a girl. The real Danko is shocked at the sight. Sylar is ready to rush over and apprehend Martin, but Sylar stops him, reminding him what happened last time he chased him. Sylar quips that the shapeshifter is trying to convert power into love and seems to be a better Danko than the real one. They oversee the fake Danko making out with an attractive woman. Just then, the shapeshifter spots them and gets up from the booth to leave. Martin ducks near another bar to avoid them seeing him and then leaves. Danko and Sylar push through the crowd but don't see the shapeshifter around.

Claire helps a groggy Nathan back to their room and scolds him for flying when drunk. Nathan asks why she's ok and she says because of her power it includes her kidney. Nathan starts talking about how much he messed up and how he gave her a free pass to try to win Claire over. Nathan says now he is determined to fix the mess he created for everyone, Peter, Angela and Claire. Claire sheds a few tears as Nathan passes out on the bed, then places a blanket on him.

Back at the Garden of Eden club, Danko meets back up with Sylar at the bar. Danko says he lost him and Sylar says he did also. Danko tells Sylar "let's go" and Sylar follows Danko to the outside. As they open the door, Sylar draws a gun. Danko turns and fires a shot into Sylar. Then, the real Sylar comes up from behind. The shapeshifter had appeared to be Sylar, but Danko figured him out. Sylar tells Danko he killed him, but Danko says he's still alive. Sylar grins an evil grin and shuts the door then prepares to buzzsaw into the shapeshifters skull. Danko asks Sylar to do it without leaving marks on the head. Sylar smiles and begins to get inside the shapeshifter's mind who is screaming now.

The next morning in Mexico, Claire wakes up with the blanket on her and Nathan standing in a corner watching her. Nathan thanks her for bailing him out in the drinking contest and Claire says it's what family's for. Claire asks if the plan is to go straight to DC now. Nathan says he has no friends on Capitol Hill and that he overreached with his plans, really screwing things up. Nathan asks Claire for suggestions on what to do. Claire gives Nathan an angry guilt trip, saying she always wondered what her real dad was like. Claire says when she met him he was more amazing then she imagined. Claire tells him he can do whatever he wants, including fly. Claire begins sobbing and tells Nathan he's supposed to be superman, then leaves the motel room.

Angela Petrelli wakes up on Peter's shoulder. She's amazed that she actually slept and tells Peter she had a dream. Peter asks what it told, and Angela says "her" indicating some stained glass which shows an angel. Angela says she knows what needs to be done now. Angela says they need to go find Nathan and Claire to bring the family together, and then go visit Angela's sister.

Nathan finds Claire at a bus stop and she tells him there's a bus coming soon for San Diego. She asks Nathan the time and he reveals he doesn't have his watch. Claire asks what happened to it, and he pulls the necklace she pawned off the day before out of his pocket, then puts it around her neck. Nathan then tells Claire he's heading back up and she smiles then walks off with him to leave. Back at the church, Peter goes outside and Angela joins him so they can fly off.

HRG arrives to the club scene to find Danko kneeling by a bodybag. As HRG opens the bodybag, he's shocked to see Sylar's body in there. HRG checks the back of his head to find a pocket knife stuck in Sylar's head. HRG stands up amazed. A female CSI type agent asks HRG if he's ok and says he is. The female agent zips up the bodybag. Danko gets in his car and lights up a cigarette. The female agent gets in the passenger side. Danko asks how it felt to zip up the bodybag, and the female agent starts convulsing, eventually revealing it's Sylar using his shapeshifter powers. Sylar says their plan will work best if everyone thinks Sylar's dead. Danko remarks that if the plan works, Sylar will be the only one left. Sylar smiles saying "funny how that works". Season 3: Episode 20: "Cold Snap"

The headhunter Emile Danko is at home shaving when all of a sudden his security alarm with voice starts alerting him the front door is open. Danko picks up his gun and cautiously goes out into the halls and main rooms, then finds Doyle is hung up from the ceiling, restrained, with a big red bow on. Doyle's unconscious but wakes up briefly. On him is a card that reads "My Gift to You".

In New York City, HRG catches a cab with Angela Petrelli in back. She says they can't be seen together anymore after this meeting. Angela talks about saving her sons, and tells HRG he needs to make Danko trust him. Angela suggests that HRG catch Rebel and turn Rebel over to Danko to gain his trust. HRG says she need may need Rebel, but Angela says she's resourceful and can survive without Rebel. She tells HRG he has 15 minutes to catch the next train to DC. Angela says she's heading out of twon before something bad happens.

Back at Building 26, Danko brings Suresh into a room full of individuals who are drugged up so they can't use their powers. Suresh finds Daphne in there and Danko says she's not doing well. Suresh demands to speak to Nathan because Daphne needs medical treatment. Danko smiles and tells Suresh Nathan flew away. Suddenly, a guard injects Suresh with something to knock him out. Danko says to hook him up and to make up a bed for Mrs. Strauss. Tracy is shown in her cell struggling with her chains.

Danko brings HRG into the room full of incapacitated heroes, and shows him Doyle, saying it's his gift to him. HRG says they've now tracked 2 messages from Rebel to Tracy Strauss. HRG suggests he may give him Rebel as a gift back. HRG suggests they let Rebel try to rescue Tracy Strauss. Danko is hesitant about letting a killer like Tracy loose, but HRG says if the plan fails he'll put a bullet in her himself. Danko agrees with it.

Hiro and Ando are with baby Matt Parkman in Los Angeles. Hiro tries to communicate with the baby thinking it's the adult Matt Parkman in a baby's body. Ando suggests maybe it's Matt Parkman's baby and says they were given this address. The baby turns on the big screen TV which shows Matt Parkman with explosives strapped to his chest in Washington DC. Hiro tells him no more TV and unplugs the set. Soon the TV is back on, but the plug is still unplugged, and they realize the baby has a power.

Angela Petrelli has a nightmarish vision in the back of the cab, that the driver is shot and some men take him out, to get to her. As she wakes suddenly she tells the driver not to stop, but they're in traffic. Suddenly the driver gets shot and a man pulls him out of the driver seat then smashes him onto the hood of the car. As they open the back door, Angela's gone. She finds a man using an umbrella in the rain and gets near him to make it look like she's part of a couple. Back at Building 26, Danko hears they lost Angela and suggests someone tipped her off. HRG says she's smart, but they'll track her cell phone to find her. Suddenly, the lights and power go out at Building 26. HRG suggests it's Rebel doing it to save Tracy.

With the power out, Tracy freezes her restraints and then breaks loose. She rushes down a hallway and gets into the room with the various incapacitated heroes, freeing Suresh and Parkman. Parkman goes over and grabs Daphne. Tracy says she'll only slow them down, and Parkman says then that's the way it will be. As Tracy takes off without them, she gets to a locked door and say she needs it open. Suddenly guards are on the other side of it. Parkman and Suresh arrive there as the door bursts open. Parkman uses mind control and makes the lead guard yell "All Clear", then has the guards rush by he, Suresh and Tracy so they can escape. Danko tells HRG this won't happen again and if Strauss leads him to Rebel to kill them both, saying it was self defense.

Tracy gets to a store to buy new clothes for herself. She asks a sales clerk to get her some different sizes as she's in the dressing room. When a knock comes at the door, she opens it and it's HRG. HRG tells her he can shoot her faster than she can use her ice power. He then questions her about who Rebel is, with Tracy saying she has no idea. HRG tells her to lead him to Rebel and he'll let her go. He says she won't have her old life back but will be on the outside. HRG says if she runs or kills him, there won't be another conversation, she'll be dead.

Matt and Suresh bring Daphne to a hospital. Suresh argues with Matt he has to be ready to move out of there. Parkman tells the lead doctor that Daphne (who he calls Janice), accidentally shot herself during a hunting trip. The doctor says they have to report it to the police as they rush Daphne to the ER. Matt uses his mental powers to make the doctor say it was clearly an accident and Matt should stick close as they try to operate on Daphne. Suresh shakes his head at Matt.

Ando and Hiro prepare to take the baby. The baby starts using its power to make various toys and electronics gadgets go off. Ando continues to tease Hiro that he must be afraid of the baby for some reason. Ando brings up Hiro's parents including his deceased mother. Hiro tells Ando about his time travelling back to see his mother die. A female shows up at the home and opens the closet where Ando and Hiro hide with the baby. She realizes they aren't from the babysitting service.

As Tracy's walking on the DC streets an ATM message starts speaking to her, saying Tracy Strauss can get free banking. She walks over to the machine which spits out some cash for her and a receipt that tells her to go to Locker 413 at Union Station for ID and a boarding pass. As Tracy hails a cab and gets in it pulls away. A young boy is shown who also calls for a cab and as he turns his head, it's Micah Sanders, who now has a more masculine voice.

Angela meets with an old female acquaintance from her past at a restaurant. The woman says she was detained earlier by agents who were asking about people she knew. Angela tells the woman she needs her help, but apparently there is an issue between them from the past. The woman brings up Angela having problems ever since Arthur died, and Angela says she's dug her sons a big hole and wants to get them out. The woman eventually gives Angela everything she has in her pocketbook for money.

Parkman's ex-wife and his baby's current mother talks with Ando and Hiro. She tells them her husband is a terrorist and that she knows her baby has an ability. They say the government is rounding up people with abilities such as Ando, and they made Matt look dangerous to prove their point. Just then a knock comes at the door. Ando and Hiro hide with the baby while Janice talks to the agents. They have a warrant to bring her and her baby in for questioning. She tells them she'll take them to where the baby is at the babysitter's. Suddenly the agents grab her and send more agents in to search the home. Ando and Hiro try to get away but become trapped in a room. As the door opens, Ando blasts a charge of energey from his palms sending agents back. Another agent prepares to shoot while Hiro has baby Parkman in his arms. Suddenly, time stops except for Hiro and the baby. Hiro realizes the baby touched him and made his power work. Only problem is, Hiro can't use teleportation. Hiro ends up grabbing a wheelbarrow to get Ando out of their with the baby.

Daphne wakes up in a hospital room surrounded by tons of balloons and gifts wishing her to Get Well. She notices one envelope has "Get Well Gwen". Matt's in the room and wakes up from a nap. Daphne realizes he convinced staff mentally that she was Gwen Stefani. Daphne gets out of bed and begins telling Matt he can't believe they have to be together based on a dream he had. Matt says it was a spirit walk. Daphne gets dressed and says she has to go, and that it was nice meeting Matt. She kisses her hand and presses it on Matt's cheek, then rushes off.

At the DC train station, Tracy Strauss finds the locker Rebel told her to go to. Inside is a boarding pass. Suddenly, Micah is next to her and says he's sitting next to her. He lets her know that he is "Rebel". Tracy is shocked at this and then tells him that she lead the agents to him. Micah's disappointed but planned on them coming after him. He uses an electronics device to set off an alarm saying there's a gas leak at the train station. He and Tracy slip through a side door to another area.

Angela Petrelli is walking down the streets when suddenly she spots several agents in suits walking in her direction. She turns to go the other way, but there's more agents coming at her. Angela heads into an upscale hotel building and rushes towards an elevator. Agents draw their guns and chase after her but she manages to get into the elevator and shut the door. As she starts to ascend in the elevator, a van pulls up outside the hotel and even more armed troops get out to storm into the lobby. Some agents get into the elevator wiring and stop the elevator then start to bring it back to the lobby. Suddenly, Angela hears a loud thud on top of the elevator. As the agents wait outside the elevator for the door to open, they see Peter Petrelli holding Angela when the door opens. Suddenly after a quick smile, Peter holds Angela and flies straight up into the shaft.

Micah and Tracy head out through the parking garage. Micah gets on Tracy's case saying he read her bio and she doesn't seem like the person who got into politics to protect civil liberties. Tracy tells him she's nothing like his mother, and Micah agrees saying his mother was the everyday American, a true hero. Suddenly they hear car tires screeching to a halt. They duck behind a car realizing agents are after them. Tracy suggests to Micah to make the sprinkler system go off, so he does. The sprinklers begin pouring out water as the agents move in. Tracy tells Micah to find a way out, even though he begs her to come along. She tells him to keep doing what he's doing as Rebel, then urges him to stay ahead of the ice. Micah takes off running as Tracy walks out towards the agents. With agents surrounding her she suddenly unleashes her freezing ability, freezing the immediate vicinity including the agents, their guns and the floor and ceiling. Micah escapes out a back door and down a hallway. With everyone frozen including Tracy, Danko comes walking onto the scene. He walks right up to Tracy, holds a gun to her and fires at her chest. She breaks apart into pieces, shattering down. HRG comes up saying he couldn't find Rebel anywhere. Danko leaves as HRG shakes his head about Tracy. Part of Tracy's frozen face shows her eyes with one seeming to wink.

Hiro wheels Ando to a spot outside with the baby, with time still frozen. He spots a woman holding a baby with a bottle and takes the bottle to give baby Parkman. He begins to tell the baby he will be safe and to be brave when time starts again. Hiro stands up and releases the stop on time. Ando suddenly springs up yelling for Hiro to run. Hiro tells him the baby used "touch and go" to start his power up. Ando asks if they teleported but Hiro says not all powers worked. Hiro tells Ando now they need to go save big Matt Parkman.

Daphne is shown sitting up on a sign on a building overlooking city lights at night. Matt Parkman shows up on the rooftop and she is amazed how he got there so fast. He tells her he knows she loves Paris, so he flew. Matt reveals he has the ability to fly. Daphne says she got there so fast by running on water. Matt has Daphne step on his shoes so he can fly up and show her the view of Paris while they have a romantic talk. Daphne tells Matt to let her go at one point. She says she knows they're still in the hospital room and he's inside her head trying to give her a storybook ending. He says he just wanted to make her happy. Daphne tells Matt he deserves the real thing, then asks him to fly her to the moon as a final wish. In the hospital room, Daphne's heartrate monitor flatlines. Matt is seated by her side along with Suresh who puts a hand on Matt's back.

Heroes closes with Peter and Angela up in the crown of the Statue of Liberty. Peter asks Angela what she wants to do now. To be continued...

Season 3: Episode 18: "Shades of Gray"

Claire goes to the microwave to get the popcorn her mother made, but finds it missing. As she closes the door, Doyle the Puppetmaster is standing there. He says he received a message from Rebel and needs Claire's help. Claire yells at him to leave, just as Sandra rushes down. Doyle says the agents should be rushing in now to grab Claire, but Claire says she has a "free pass". Doyle says he wants to start over and be a puppeteer making people happy. Claire argues that he tried to kill them once, and Doyle shuts them up using his power. He says he's not going to force them to help him, and sheds a tear as he leaves.

Nathan confronts Danko about where he's been. Danko tells him dealing with the mess that Peter caused, then asks Nathan how many people knew about the rooftop operation. Nathan gets an urgent cell phone call alerting him that Matt Parkman is in front of the capitol building in DC with a bomb strapped to his chest. Danko plays it off as if Parkman was in his custody when he last saw him. Nathan heads to the roof exit, with Danko suspiciously eyeing his exit.

All sorts of armed guards and police storm the Capitol building area with Parkman screaming he was set up. Nathan shows up quickly and tells the guards he can get through to Matt. Nathan walks up to confront Matt as Matt screams for him to get out of there. Nathan tells Matt to read his mind so he'll know the truth that Danko is trying to set him up. Matt is unable to use his power due to being drugged.

Back at Building 26, Danko is alerted by an agent that Petrelli arrived at the scene where Parkman is. With news channels covering the situation, Danko orders the agent to push the button and take out Parkman. Someone has blocked the server transmission preventing the bomb from activating. Danko watches as Petrelli talks to Parkman. Again Danko orders the bomb to be triggered as HRG now is there and takes interest in what they're up to. Meanwhile, Matt is regaining his mind reading ability and starts reading various thoughts from police trained in bomb diffusion. He tells Nathan various things he hears in others' minds. Matt yells for Nathan to go for the black wire, and after hesitating, Nathan pulls it, diffusing the bomb right before the agent is able to hit the button. Nathan punches Matt out to prevent him from using his power and agents grab him.

Sylar arrives at a rundown mobile home out in the woods. Where he finds an old man who is engaged in taxidermy. The man is coughing as cigarettes are shown in a ashtray. Sylar knocks on the glass window, and the man thinks its a customer. Sylar reveals he's in fact the man's son and came to find out the answers to questions about who he is and where he came from. Sylar reminds the man he abandoned him and killed his mother. The man asks "what now?" and Sylar says now he kills him. The man turns to reveal he's on a breathing apparatus, and tells Sylar to go ahead and kill him, because if he doesn't the cancer will.

Danko talks to an agent about how their computer system was hacked. As they enter the office area, Nathan's sitting there and says that the hacker saved everyone by doing what they did and he'd like to thank him. Danko argues with Nathan for saving friends and family rather than worrying about national security. Nathan says that there was no serious danger from Parkman until Danko put a bomb on him. Danko tells Nathan that Peter and Matt are threats so he simply put a face to the threat. Nathan informs Danko he's done working there, but Danko says its up to the president. Nathan pulls HRG aside and asks HRG to get a team together for once Danko's gone. As they're talking a video feed starts playing of Tracy Strauss yelling at Nathan "You're one of us!" Danko suggests that Nathan has a deeper connection to the heroes then he is telling everyone.

Guards lead a restrained and drugged up Tracy Strauss down a hallway in Building 26. As she passes by another guard at a desk, she sees the video camera feed suddenly change to a message "Help is coming. Have Hope". Nathan pays a visit to Tracy in her cell again, suggesting he still has feelings for her and is her last hope. Tracy's upset about Nathan using her as a sacrifice for his personal gain. Nathan instructs her that Danko's going to come ask her questions, trying to get Tracy to be less cooperative. Danko finally comes in and asks Nathan if he's got a soft spot for this prisoner. Nathan tells him to "knock himself out". Danko, alone with Tracy, asks her to tell everything she knows about Nathan. Tracy says that Nathan was lousy in bed, so that Nathan can overhear it on the video cam feed. Danko presses Tracy asking if Nathan has an ability, but Tracy says she has no idea what he's talking about.

Claire has a dilemma about whether she should help Doyle or not. Claire says Rebel is helping people and she should too. Claire informs Sandra she's going to take a part time job at Sam's Comics in Costa Verde, so she can help any other heroes that "Rebel" might send there. Claire goes in for the job interview and gets the job due to the fact the customers are all drooling over her in the store.

Sylar stays with his father who is suffering from lung cancer and on a breathing machine. He tells Sylar he knows he wanted an epic battle but life doesn't always give you what you want. His father shows him he has an ability too. Sylar is surprised about it, but his father says he has several abilities just not sure what he can do anymore. Sylar's dad tells Sylar that he's a killer by nature. His father tells Sylar he ran away from the agents rather than taking them out. Sylar doesn't have an answer for why. His father tells him all the power doesn't matter if you've lived an unsatisfied life. Sylar's dad offers him a knife to kill him, or gut a rabbit for taxidermy. Sylar guts the rabbit while his dad holds it.

Danko asks HRG if he came across any heroes who could fly, saying some appear to be lost in the system. Danko suggests that Nathan is hiding something. HRG gives a file folder to Danko about Angela Petrelli, sending him to go talk to her as a lead. HRG calls Angela to tell her that Nathan made a power move to get rid of Danko. HRG says he pointed Danko in her direction, and Angela says she does her homework.

As Claire leaves her Sams Comics job she spots two agents that had been casing the Bennet home in a van. Claire calls HRG to ask him about how he led two lives for so long. HRG watches guards escort Matt Parkman down a hallway. HRG tells Claire he doesn't have an answer for her but misses her. Just then, the van screeches off chasing down Doyle. Claire gets a text message from Rebel directing her to go help Doyle. The female agent aims her gun at Doyle in a back alley. Doyle uses his puppetry power and raises the woman's arms up, then points her own gun at her head. Doyle stops himself from making her shoot herself, but makes her hit the side wall hard. The male agent comes up from behind aiming his gun at Doyle. Claire sneaks up behind him, trips him and Doyle is surprised to see her helping.

Mr. Danko meets with Angela Petrelli at a restaurant. Danko asks her about Parkman, Peter, Claire, Hiro all inheriting abilities from their parents but that Nathan doesn't seem to have one. Angela suggests genetics is a complex matter and that Nathan was the misfit, because it skipped a generation. Danko says he doesn't believe her. Angela tells Danko she knows his type, all alone, working in the shadows, but it makes him expendable. She reminds him of a 1997 incident in Angola where many civilians were lost, but Danko survived it. Something seems to have triggered inside Danko, he gets up and tells Angela she's very resourceful, then leaves.

Sylar tells his father about his career fixing watches. His dad suggests Sylar is clinging to a need for connection, saying people are a disappointment. Sylar asks why he killed Sylar's mom and abandoned him. His father said he doesn't remember and it didn't matter because little does. Sylar continues to help him work on the taxidermy, but cuts his palm by accident. He shows his dad his ability to heal from injuries/wounds and his dad's impressed. Sylar says it's an ability he picked up from a cheerleader. Sylar tells his dad not everyone gets old or dies, and his father retorts that Sylar has that much longer to suffer now. He starts coughing and puts the air mask on. Sylar puts the stuffed rabbit over on a shelf for his dad, but as he turns around two arrows fly right at him nailing Sylar to a wall. His father says it's amazing how abilities come back. Sylar smirks about it saying "you think you can beat me?" His father says he wants his power and starts to drain Sylar, causing Sylar to pass out.

As Sylar comes to he sees his father with a knife and asks him why he said he gave up. Sylar's groggy and his father says he will get things right this time, fighting harder, taking power and real authority to change the world. As his father comes up to his skull with the knife, Sylar stops him in his tracks by using his power. His father's shocked that he can move. Sylar says he was just playing possum. Sylar uses his ability to choke him around the neck, and his father begs for the power. Sylar takes the rabbit to walk out and his father pleads for him to kill him. Sylar tells his father he will die but slowly and all alone with his sickness. Sylar says he knows what he has to do and leaves.

Nathan hands Danko a signed note from the president telling him he's done. Nathan says anyone else who isn't on board can leave too. Danko tells Nathan one day he'll find himself all alone. Nathan tells HRG the president is eager to meet Danko's replacement and asks HRG to come along. As Nathan and HRG go up several floors, Danko is up there. Nathan tells him it's over and asks to just leave. Danko draws a gun and points it at Nathan. He fires two shots despite HRG warning him not to. Danko then rushes Nathan and pushes him through a window. He looks out and sees Nathan falling but suddenly stop in mid air, then burst up in flight. Danko turns in shock and asks HRG if he knew about this.

Doyle waits on a park bench at night as Claire brings him a brand new identity. Claire tells him she helped because it's about her being who she needs to be. Doyle thanks her then walks off. She asks if he meant all the stuff he said about how he changed. Doyle turns and smirks then walks off.

Back in Los Angeles, Hiro and Ando arrive at 63 Varna Avenue to try to save Parkman. A woman comes out all upset saying she just quit and it took two hours for her replacements to arrive (Hiro/Ando). They tell her they're there to save Matt Parkman. She hands them an infant saying it needs to be changed. They look at her strange, and she says "that's Matt Parkman", then wishes them luck.

The episode concludes with Suresh narrating about generations. Claire gets a text message "Free Pass is up, agents are coming". Sylar's father is shown taking breaths on the air machine. Danko is shown in his apartment and spots the rabbit from Sylar's dad on a shelf, then comes face to face with Sylar. Armed agents storm the Bennet home to take Claire with Sandra screaming. They burst into Claire's room but she's nowhere to be found. As the view extends outside Claire's window, there is Nathan hovering in the air, holding Claire. To be continued...

Season 3's Mysterious Rebel

(Save the cheerleader, she'll save you)

One of the most mysterious characters in Heroes Season 3 Fugitives is a text messager known simply as "Rebel". The rebellious figure has been sending instructional messages to everyone amongst the heroes to aid them in escaping. Rebel's warned Matt Parkman, Suresh, Peter, Claire, Hiro and Ando all of the impending dangers. In Episode 18 "Exposed", the puppetmaster villain (who Sylar must not have killed?) showed up at the Bennet home informing Claire that Rebel told him "Claire will save you".

In the last episode, Angela Petrelli crushed the idea that she was the Rebel when Nathan confronted her. That doesn't leave her out, because the Petrelli's aren't always upfront about everything. She did mention that she doesn't know how to use computers very well though. It could be an insider, but most likely it's someone we've seen before. One individual we haven't seen or heard from since earlier in "Villains", is Micah Sanders, Nikki/Jessica's technogeek-son, who definitely knows how to manipulate technology. Micah was able to get Nathan elected, eject wads of cash from ATM's and order free Pay-Per-Views on TV, so there's no reason he wouldn't be able to use his abilities to hack into the mainframes over at Building 26. He may be hiding out somewhere and viewing the same video feeds that the people going after the heroes are. Micah never really met all of the heroes he's contacted such as Claire Bennet, but he could very well have retrieved some sort of files or list via his hacking.

There's some other possibilities. There was the female known as Wireless who appeared in only a few episodes, but had the ability to control communications devices. My memory might be skewed on this, but I don't recall the soldier (Scott) who was tested with the formula and became super strong getting killed, although he may have burned in the nasty fire at Pinehearst. Claire's real mother who had pyrokinesis supposedly perished in an explosion/fire as did Nikki/Jessica during Season 2. Monica Dawson has also been M.I.A. Another character who basically just vanished is West, Claire's former classmate love interest. He's got that power of flight which has kept Peter from being captured and he could possibly be able to run some surveillance from the sky. The smart money's on Micah Sanders for now, until we get some more revealing clues about this mysterious yet helpful character.

Season 3: Episode 18: "Exposed"

Season 3: Chapter 15: "Exposed"

Claire's new friend, Alex, continues to hide out at the Bennet's house in Claire's room. Claire tells him there's a train leaving for Albuequerque he should take, but Alex says that's not what he decided to do. Claire said he would have been dead already if not for her, then says he needs to do what she says to stay alive. Sandra Bennet comes into the room as Alex hides. Mrs. Bennet asks Claire where the house money went, and Claire suggests maybe Lyle took it. Sandra says she already grilled him. The family dog Mr. Muggles starts barking at someone under the bed and pulls a sandwich out. Mrs. Bennet then hears some noise in Claire's closet, and opens the door to find Alex.

At Building 26, HRG and the Hunter, Danko, view a security video feed of the Bennet home. HRG informs Danko he's moved out, and Danko asks if he's ok with them running surveillance on Claire. HRG says Claire can handle the consequences if she makes a bad choice. Danko begins briefing the agents on Peter and Matt Parkman saying they are top priority and need to be brought down. Nathan enters and says no lethal force will be used but Danko says he's already authorized his agents to take them out if necessary. Nathan tells HRG to keep an eye on Danko. HRG tells him that Matt and Peter kidnapped him and threatened his life. He asks Nathan "what makes you think I won't shoot them myself?" in order for Danko to overhear him and trust him more.

Peter walks into the loft apartment where Matt is feverishly painting. Peter shakes him several times to snap him out of it, saying he's been drawing the same image over and over. Peter suggests that Matt may be trying to find answers about the explosion picture near Washington DC. As the two are talking, a message comes in on a computer screen from REBEL. He tells them Daphne is at 283 E Street SW in Washington DC, then warns them to get out now because "They're coming". Peter asks Matt how do they know if it's a setup or not. After a brief debate the two pack up and rush out. Just as they escape out the back, two agents burst in to the area. They call Danko back at Building 26 to say they just missed them, and send a digital pic of the painted image by Matt on the floor. Danko sees it and knows where they may be heading.

Claire introduces Alex to Sandra, and tries to make up a cover story that he's her new boyfriend and was hiding in the closet because they were having sex. Alex doesn't go along with it, so Claire has to confess that he has an ability too. Alex tells Sandra his ability, and Sandra is disappointed in Claire for lying to her.

Luke and Sylar continue driving to get to Sylar's real father's place. Luke suggests that he wants more agents to come after them so he can chairbroil them. Sylar disagrees with leaving a trail of bodies to his father's place. Sylar uses telekinesis to press his face up against the car window, asking Luke why he doesn't want Sylar meeting his real father. Luke tells him parents suck and reveals how his own dad abused him. Sylar swerves off the road to "Big Jim's" a closed up hot dog shop, and begins to use telekinesis to rip wood pieces off the front.

Claire and Sandra continue to discuss how Claire's been keeping things from her. Sandra says she knows more than Claire or HRG give her credit for, then shows Claire a surveillance van's been parked outside the home watching her. Sandra tells Alex and Claire she has a plan to help them.

Peter and Matt get to their destination in DC, Building 26. Before they enter, Matt says he can't use his mind powers on everyone at once inside the building. Peter touches his arm and gains the power, so they both can use the ability to infiltrate the building. They get in and bypass several security guards, eventually getting to an operations room where they can hack a computer. Agents spot them on the video surveillance footage and alert Danko. He tries to go out to get Matt and Peter, but two guards are there under mind control and aim their guns at Danko, causing him to go back into the office with HRG and Nathan. Parkman looks at the camera and flashes a smile.

Sandra Bennet confiscates her son Lyle's drivers license, and creates a fake ID out of it for Alex using an iron. Sandra tells Alex to get a change of clothes upstairs, then shows Claire the California drivers license she created for Alex. Sandra said she wanted to help because Claire was going to drag her into it one way or another. Claire said she wishes she were normal so Sandra and HRG would still be together. Sandra said she fell in love with HRG because he was dangerous and handsome, but now she's tired of being lied to and can't see her marriage anymore. Claire asked if they were going to divorce and Sandra said maybe but it has nothing to do with Claire at all.

Sylar and Luke go into the abandoned and boarded up Jim's Hot Dog restaurant. Sylar began to remember being there years ago as a child and we are shown a B&W flashback. A younger Sylar is in the hustling and bustling Jim's Hot Dogs in 1980 with his father. Young Sylar loses a toy matchbox car in the counter area. As Sylar snaps out of his memory, he says he can remember his father, then uses telekinesis to rip apart the area where he lost the toy car, finding it there.

Claire oversees Alex changing in her room, then turns her back on him. He asks why she's helping him, and she says because they're an endangered species. The two discuss the possibility of almost being a couple if they hadn't met under the circumstances they did. Alex moves in for a kiss, but just then Sandra bursts in and tells him the agents are moving in. Sandra shows Alex a secret place to hide, just as agents storm in the house. Two agents start looking around with guns drawn, while Claire and Sandra play dumb about where Alex is. Sandra prepares to grab a gun under the counter if needed. Eventually the agents leave when Mrs. Bennet tells the female agent to leave. Sandra comes up with another plan to help Alex escape, saying they can give him a headstart to the train so he can get away.

Peter continues searching the computer and says that Daphne isn't at Building 26 anymore. Rebel begins to transmit a video feed tape from when the various people were being rounded up. Peter begins copying the files to expose those behind the whole operation. Peter and Matt decide they can make a deal to exchange the information for Daphne. Meanwhile HRG tells them they need to exploit Matt's abilities, so he switches on a loud alarm to start interfering with Matt and Peter's telepathy. Rebel urges them via an on screen message they have just 30 seconds to escape. Peter and Matt take off as the lights in the building go out. Two agents come at them with guns drawn, but Matt and Peter manipulate their minds to aim the guns at HRG, Danko and Nathan. Eventually Matt tells Peter to take off, so Peter runs off. Matt is left for HRG to subdue.

Sylar begins to recall that his father did something to him, that he forgot, that's been eating at his soul. The flashback is shown again with Sylar's dad bringing young Sylar over to a couple and receiving money in exchange for him. Sylar's dad gets into a car with a woman and they begin arguing. Young Sylar rushes out to see just as his father uses his own power to rip the woman's forehead just like Sylar does. The woman falls out of the car in front of young Sylar with blood across her forehead. Sylar realizes he witnessed his father killing his mother as he comes out of his memory.

Angela Bennet meets with Nathan. Nathan aks if Angela's been helping Peter, and if she's "Rebel". Angela says she doesn't know how to use computers, and that she knows she's safe with Nathan's help. Nathan discusses how he wants to contain those with abilities while others want them dead. Peter phones in via cell phone to tell Nathan he has evidence against him. They arrange a meeting so Peter can trade the info he took for Daphne and Matt. Nathan agrees to the meeting.

The two agents see Sandra leaving the home in her vehicle and rush over to see if she's aiding Alex. Sandra and Lyle are in the car and say they're going to see a movie. A noise is heard from near the home and the agents rush off to see what's going on. Meanwhile Alex and Claire are running in the dark and fall down a hill. Alex ends up on top of Claire, and the two quickly get back up after a moment to escape. The agents lose track of them in the dark, as Claire and Alex are shown under water in a swimming pool. Claire begins to gasp as if she needs air, but Alex grabs her and kisses her passionately. The agents leave the scene.

Nathan, HRG and Danko discuss the trade arrangement. Danko says he's not bringing Matt and Daphne to the scene because he has another plan. Nathan orders Danko to bring them to the trade spot, and Danko says he has a direct order from the government, and that Peter is a terrorist. Nathan pulls HRG aside and tells him to remember Peter can hear his thoughts. HRG nods and heads off with Danko to the scene. At the scene, the car arrives and HRG gets out. Peter is there and asks where Matt & Daphne are. Peter tries to use his mental powers to talk to Matt in the car, but doesn't sense them. HRG begins to think so Peter can hear him. He tells Peter it's a set up. HRG tries to warn Peter, but just then Danko fires from a sniper rifle and hits Peter in the shoulder. Peter falls over the side of the rooftop from the tall building. HRG and Danko rush over to see if he fell, but all of a sudden something flies straight up in the air and out of the way.

Peter is with Nathan and Angela. Nathan was the one who flew off with his brother. Nathan tells Peter the plan he had is out of control, but he's the only one who can fix it. Nathan tells Peter to come with him and he'll be treated well. Nathan puts his hand out, but Peter gets up and hugs him to take back the ability to fly. Peter says goodbye then bursts off into the night sky. Angela stops Nathan saying the game has changed, then whispers some info into Nathan's ear.

News reports begin showing the footage which Peter sent in from Building 26, showing a possible violation of civil rights. Danko is shown watching and looks at the painting of Matt Parkman with explosives on him.

Meanwhile, Luke tells Sylar that his father is a bad guy and to let it go. Sylar erupts and throws a chair in Luke's direction. He asks why Luke was making his father sound like Mr. Rogers. Luke says he was waiting for the right moment to tell Sylar. Sylar becomes furious and uses telekinesis to toss Luke up against a wall. Sylar tells Luke he needs a way to express his rage, then after talking to him releases Luke from the wall. Sylar tells Luke to go home, and reveals that now that he knows the truth he wants to kills his father.

Danko deals with Matt Parkman in the back of a van, taping explosives around Matt. Danko says the enemy has a face and it will be Matt Parkman. Danko injects Matt with a drug then drops him off in front of the same area from his painting with explosives taped around him. Matt falls to the ground.

Sandra and Claire have a heart to heart discussion about things. Sandra tells Claire she loves her just how she is, and wouldn't trade her life for anything. Sandra tells Claire they can go watch a movie together. Claire leaves the room and Sandra looks at a picture of her and HRG, reminiscing. As Claire goes to the kitchen she opens the microwave but doesn't find the popcorn. She closes the door, and suddenly, the Puppetmaster is standing in the kitchen. Claire recognizes him, and he shows her a text message he received from Rebel that reads "Claire will save you". To be continued....

Season 3: Episode 17: "Cold Wars"

In Costa Verde, Parkman, Suresh and Peter Petrelli convene and discuss how they will go about interrogating Noah Bennet. Peter brings a drug to knockout HRG, because Matt says simply reading his mind won't work, since HRG is trained. Suresh and Peter debate the idea of kidnapping and drugging people but Matt reminds them these people turned them all into fugitives who are being hunted. A replay is shown of HRG at the bar passing out, with Suresh, Peter and Parkman coming over to "assist their friend in leaving". We return to present day where HRG is tied up in a chair, drugged, and Parkman enters his mind.

The flashback in Black and White goes back five weeks ago with HRG. HRG meets with Angela Bennet on a bench to discuss the work they have left to do now that Primatech has burned down. Angela hands HRG an envelope containing payout for his years of service, as well as a watch. Angela says she's tired of the years of lies and stress, then tells HRG to go home and take Claire. HRG says this is all he's ever known. Angela tells him to take care of Claire and himself. Parkman comes out of the flashback in HRG's memory and tells Suresh and Petrelli they're going to find out exactly who's responsible for all this and he will keep pushing as far as he needs to.

Back at Building 26, the Hunter tells Nathan that Noah Bennet is off their tracking grid. Nathan asks about Claire, and the head hunter says due to the fact he and HRG are allowing Claire to be free from the list, they're both tarnished. The Hunter reveals to Nathan he's spying on him as well.

Suresh argues about Matt causing pain to HRG by digging in his brain. Suresh tells Matt he's better than HRG, but Matt says they know nothing and need to know everything they can about the operations. Matt goes back inside HRG's head to find out how the whole thing started. Four weeks ago, HRG is at home doing a crossword puzzle, when Sandra comes in and tells them they're going to dinner with parents of Lyle's friends. Sandra kisses HRG tells him it's nice having him around. Just then a knock comes at the door and it's Nathan Petrelli. HRG thinks he's there for Claire, but instead Nathan talks to him privately in his office. Nathan says he set some things in motion, but that Claire will be safe. Nathan informs him that the US Government has the resources to fix the problem of those with abilities. Nathan says there will be exceptions to those that are hunted down, possibly Claire if HRG is on board for this. HRG tells Nathan he will be seen as a villain, especially by Claire. Nathan says he just wants to make things right, then asks HRG for his insight on how he tracked these people for 20 years. HRG brings Nathan to a secret locked area containing files and weapons from the last 20 years of his life. HRG says the government needs perspective on how to track these people, and there's only so many crossword puzzles they can do.

Matt Parkman snaps out of Bennet's memory and tells Suresh & Peter that HRG and Nathan planned all of this. Suresh and Parkman begin to argue over what Parkman's doing. Peter yells at them to stop. Matt orders Peter to go pickup weapons at Bennet's storage area which he found out about in HRG's memory. Peter takes the address with lock combo and says he'll go instead. HRG seems to be awake overhearing the arguing, then pretends he's out. Peter heads to weapons storage area and begins to grab various weapons, but there's a video camera capturing his moves. Back at Building 26 an agent spots Peter and informs the Hunter. The Hunter informs Nathan they found Peter, with Nathan inquiring how Peter knew about the storage facility. Nathan instructs the Hunter to take Peter alive with no bloodshed, despite the fact Peter is in a weapons storage facility. Just then, they lose their visual coverage. Armed soldiers storm the facility to find Peter. They open the door, with Peter tossing a flash grenade out at the soldiers. As the grenade goes off, Peter flies straight out the door and out of the facility.

Meanwhile, HRG has come to and tells Parkman and Suresh that Peter is either captured or dead. He tells Suresh that he knows the weapons storage spot is under surveillance. Matt says he needs more info about who else Nathan and HRG is working with, so he enters HRG's head again. We flash back to a meeting at Building 26, where Nathan introduces HRG to the Hunter. HRG discusses the concept of having "one of us, one of them" when working on things, but the Hunter says he prefers "none of them" because it's about trust with "us versus them". HRG tells the Hunter for 20 years he was successful making sure people like the Hunter didn't know the people with abilities even existed. The Hunter tells HRG not to presume anything about him. HRG questions Nathan as to why he's not in charge of things and Nathan tells him things became more serious.

In the B&W flashback, HRG is shown getting into a cab driven by Suresh. HRG tells Suresh that something big is happening and he needs his help. HRG tells Suresh there's a government program which is going to blow up in their face. HRG says with Mohinder's brain and strength they can help people and save lives. Suddenly, Matt comes out of HRG's memories and begins to confront Suresh about meeting with HRG. The two get into a physical altercation, with Suresh tossing Matt around and smashing a mirror. As they fight out of the main room, HRG spots a shard of glass. Suresh tells Matt he couldn't tell him about his meeting with HRG because if he did he might be the one tied up in the chair right now. Just then as glance look over the chair is empty with the door open as HRG has escaped.

Parkman and Suresh rush outside of their motel room frantically looking for HRG in the dark parking lot. HRG hides behind the front of a car, then goes over and breaks its antenna off. HRG uses the antenna to open the door lock, then gets in to attempt to hotwire it. Just then something smashes down on the hood causing the windshield to shatter a bit. Peter Petrelli has landed on the car, and then are able to restrain HRG again, this time with duck tape. Peter suggest that maybe they should hit the road as the soldiers found him already. Suresh agrees but Matt says he gets no vote, then informs Peter that Suresh met with HRG before. Suresh says he didn't tell them because who would believe him after all he's done. Matt again goes back into HRG's brain to find out the name of the person HRG is taking orders from.

The flashback goes to one week ago. HRG stops by the Hunter's apartment with a bottle of liquor and offers a drink. HRG says they need to understand where each other are coming from. The Hunter says he knows what HRG is up to because he's concerned about Claire. The Hunter says HRG danced between Company Man and Family Man way too much. The Hunter says they will need to focus to win this war for good. HRG says he read the Hunter's files too and realizes he takes his work everywhere and might think he's perfect. HRG says he needs to realize these are people not terrorists they're going after. Danko asks if HRG will take orders from him, and HRG tells him "you're the boss". Matt writes down the apartment address that HRG went to when he met Danko. He gives it to Peter to go find him. HRG urges them not to go after Danko saying it's a big mistake and he's unraveling things he doesn't understand. Despite HRG's protests, Peter heads out. Just then, several SUV's pull up outside the motel and armed soldiers get out.

Danko arrives back to his apartment and calls in orders for backup. As he's switching on his surveillance monitors, Peter is shown standing behind him, aiming a gun right at him. Back at Building 26, an agent alerts Nathan of the incident. Peter asks Danko if he's the one behind all this. Danko begins to try to manipulate Peter and puts his head up against the gun telling Peter to get his mission over with. Danko reminds Peter he broke into his home and now has a gun pointed at him. Danko says if Peter kills him, he'll get exactly what he wants, for everyone to see how dangerous they are. Just then Nathan appears, and tells Peter that Danko's right. Danko gets suspicious of how Nathan got to the apartment so quickly. Nathan tells Peter to trust him so he can fix things, but Peter yells at him to shutup and then shoots Danko in the arm. Nathan says if Peter pulls the trigger and kills Danko, it'll give the government open command to kill those with abilities rather than contain them. He tells Peter that if he shoots Danko he'll be signing Parkman and Suresh's death warrant. Peter backs off then flies out the window to go save them. Danko asks Nathan why he told Peter about troops descending where Parkman and Suresh were. Nathan tells him he just saved his life. Danko screams on the phone for the troops to take Parkman and Suresh immediately.

The soldiers begin breaking into motel rooms with their rifles ready. Suresh tells Matt they should hit the road while they can. Matt cocks a pistol and points it right at HRG getting angry over HRG's involvement. HRG reveals to him that Daphne's still alive. He tells Matt to go inside his mind if he doesn't believe him. Suresh tells Matt to do so and he'll hold off the soldiers. Matt goes back into HRG's mind and sees several days ago where HRG and The Head Hunter found out that one of the people shot was still alive. Daphne is shown on a gurney screaming in pain from the gunshot wounds. HRG rushes over and tells them to use three times the normal amount of sedatives on her to keep her down. Matt comes back out of HRG's memories shocked at the revelation.

Meanwhile, outside the motel room Suresh tries to distract the soldiers but eventually they are too much for him and hit him with tranquilizers. Suresh falls onto the pavement and the soldiers surround him. Back in the room, HRG reminds Matt that he isn't a killer and things will only get worse. Just then the door bursts open and soldiers enter with their rifles aimed at Parkman. He finally lowers the gun and surrenders. HRG yells for them not to hurt him. He asks to walk Parkman out after he's been subdued. As they're walking towards the parking lot all of a sudden a grenade is thrown and rolls near their feet. A bright flash goes off, and Peter flies in to scoop up Parkman and fly off.

Back in building 26, Suresh is restrained. Nathan enters the cell and someone throws water on Suresh to wake him up. Nathan tells Suresh that he's trying to save them, contain them instead of kill them. Suresh laughs at his plan to round them up and keep them forever. Nathan asks for Suresh's assistance with Suresh saying he won't help. Nathan shows Suresh that Daphne's still alive, but says his associates will probably kill her, then Suresh, then Peter, Matt and the rest. Suresh seems swayed a bit as Nathan leaves the cell.

HRG meets with Danko who tells him to take some time off. HRG says Danko was right before saying he was weak with his focus. Danko says he believes Nathan was off track before but that maybe the two of them can pull this together. HRG says he agrees and just then Danko gets into a car to take off. HRG meets with Angela Bennet again at a Park Bench nearby. HRG tells her that he thinks Danko trusts him. Angela says Danko will continue to test him. HRG tells Angela that Danko and Nathan don't know what's going on. Angela tells HRG he'll have to make tough choices and HRG says he's always been comfortable with "morally gray", then leaves his watch gift on the bench.

The scene shifts to Matt Parkman feverishly creating paintings in a loft apartment with Peter watching. The paintings reveal sticks of dynamite including some strapped around Matt. Matt becomes upset over the images asking Peter how this could be. Peter tells him he's not a killer, but then a huge painting on the floor reveals flames and fire around Washington DC.
