I am sure most of you already know and perhaps have even accepted that there will not be a Heroes Wrap Up movie/mini series. Over the last few weeks and months many of the main actors have signed deals for other TV Shows/Movies/Projects and so it should be no surprise to hear the that NBC will not be making a mini series.

As Tim Kring told me at a recent signing of his new book, we would really have to wait and see how their new shows perform. Don't forget last season when Trauma was canceled but brought back after the Jay Leno debacle.

However, EW says the have a "source" saying NBC does not want to make one.

Personally I think NBC should not be stringing fans along. Just come out and say it is over or say what Kring said.

Here is the statement from EW:

Don’t hold out for closure, Heroes fans: A key source on the canceled drama told EW that NBC is not moving forward with a movie that would wrap up the four-year series. After the Peacock announced the show’s cancellation last May, there was some talk about allowing creator Tim Kring to give fans one more chance to say goodbye to their favorite characters, but that’s as far as it went.

NBC would not comment Thursday.

This was the first time I met him and he was totally cool and humble about the show and experience of Comic Con. He was signing autographs for his new book Shift but was kind enough to do a small interview for our readers and all the Heroes fans.

Unfortunately there is no real update because at this point I think the only realistic chance for a Heroes wrap up will depend on how well/bad the NBC Fall lineup performs and Kring pretty much confirms that. At the same time he said they are doing whatever they can to try and keep the Heroes Universe alive.

Hope you all enjoy and thanks to Tim for the time.

NOTE: For those wondering why I did not ask other questions, I was lucky just to get this time, he was only planning to record a few seconds for the fans and he was very patient to answer the few I did ask him.
Here is the latest from Tim Kring which is not much more. Many are speculating NBC to make some sort of announcement at Comic Con, but I have not heard anything yet.

FYI: This is a couple of days old now

"We all thought there was going to be another season - the truth is, we are still talking to the network about how to wrap up the show in some way for the fans, but no decision has been made about how we're going to do that.

"As to how to continue this brand that everybody recognises, [this is] a very potent brand across the world.

"I'm still very involved in trying to wrap that up on air for the fans and hopefully we'll have something to announce very shortly."

He added: "The Heroes universe is a very deep one and it extends across all sorts of platforms, and in a world where there are any number of characters, there is a very deep cannon and mythology and it can very easily extend across multiple platforms - online, publishing, comic books, gaming and all that kind of stuff.

"I am hoping to explore that with the network who owns the property."

Most of you do not seem happy with a 1-Year later plot focusing on the effects of what happened with Claire's decision to come out being a super.

What do you all think?? What do you want to see?

Heroes ended its season last February with the indestructible Claire (Hayden Panettiere) throwing herself from the top of a Ferris wheel in front of the media, revealing her superpower to the world. Should the axed series return with a wrap-up miniseries—that's creator Tim Kring's hope, and he says he's meeting with NBC this month to discuss it — the plot will skip ahead a year or so to see the effect of Claire's revelation.

"There will be a huge cultural and social change in the world," says Kring. "Some [of our characters] will be hiding, some struggling, some basking in the glory."

Claire, who desperately wanted a normal life, will become a reluctant spokesperson for the abnormals. Sylar (Zachary Quinto) will again struggle with his dark side. And Adrian Pasdar will likely return, though not as Nathan, who died.

Kring is confident he can lure back his entire cast if he gets a green light. (NBC refused to comment.)

"I've spoken with everyone," says Kring. "They're all eager to participate."

The movie is set to film in July so not sure what Hayden's schedule will be like for a potential Heroes movie.

The longer they wait to do it, the harder it will be to get all of the main actors together.

With many of the cast beginning to sign other deals, at this point I would not expect a wrap up movie.

Does not seem like we will get any finale movie from this statement but perhaps keeping the Heroes Universe alive? I know some would be happy for GNs, but they owe the fans more than just that.

What do you think?

“I want to first extend my deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to the legion of enthusiastic fans who have watched ‘Heroes’ on TV, online, DVR, DVD and mobile over the last four seasons.

Every week more than 45 million TV viewers around the world, as well as millions of social and digital media-based fans, have made ‘Heroes’ one of the five most-watched shows across traditional and digital media screens in the history of television.

For NBC, I certainly understand the challenge of creating a business model around a show which arrived precisely as the audience was finding new ways to watch traditional content on multiple screens.

I personally have had 12 great years with my friends at NBC, and with ‘Heroes,’ they provided me a rare opportunity to put a message of hope, interconnectivity and global consciousness into the world. For that I am grateful and look forward to finalizing our discussion about a number of ways to keep the ‘Heroes’ universe alive for its fans.”
Interesting that the story breaks after the show is canceled?

A comic book creator has filed a lawsuit against NBC and the "Heroes" production team claiming the carnival story arc in the fourth season was ripped off from a comic series published in 2005-06.

Jason Barnes, who created the series "Carnival of Souls" under the name Jazan Wild, is seeking $60 million and an injunction against NBC's distribution companies and "Heroes" creator Tim Kring's production company Tailwind Productions, claiming that the settings and storylines between "Carnival of Souls" and the fourth season of "Heroes" are "virtually the same," according to Comic Book Resources.

"The main character in both stories leads a carnival of lost souls and outcasts," the complaint said. "This dark character seeks to make his carnival more powerful by recruiting new members with special abilities. The appearance of some of the characters is also virtually identical to those in the plaintiff's books.

"Even the dialogue is similar. Indeed, some of the scenes in 'Heroes' appears as if plaintiff's books were used as storyboards by the defendants."

"Heroes" has utilized a comic book theme throughout its four-year run, but in the past has been accused of borrowing heavily from X-Men and Watchmen comic books. However, "Heroes" has only been sued once before, in 2007, when artists Clifton Mallery and Amnau Karam Eele claimed Kring stole the idea of prophetic painter Isaac Mendez from them.

A judge threw the suit out a short time later, and ordered Mallery and Eele to pay $99,000 in attorneys fees.

Here is some audio from an interview with Milo Ventimiglia on a local radio show called Gary and Dino.

I have not listened to the whole thing yet, but he talks about how the show changed and does say he was thankful for the run.

The interview starts at the 36 Minute mark so just forward to that point to listen.

NOTE: There is some adult language so if you are not ok with that stuff then beware as you listen.
About 8PM PST all of the previous posts seemed to have been deleted from the site.

I have contacted blogger and hopefully there is a simple solution to get all the posts back.

I know it sucks that 3 years worth of stuff seems to be deleted, but I did not do it.

Sorry for an inconvenience.

Thanks
Nothing is still confirmed, but if there is a finale movie it will be two hours not four.

Here is the latest via IGN

During a conference call today, I asked NBC's Angela Bromstad about the decision to end the series and she replied that after conversations with series creator Tim Kring, "We felt we had satisfied the viewers desire in terms of the show and the length of its run."

However, Bromstad did confirm that conversations with Kring are currently underway about a conclusion -- though she specifically said it would be a two-hour TV-Movie, seemingly squashing the possibility of it being done over two nights/four hours.

TEST

Testing
