Residents of both Henry and Spalding county communities have been thrilled with the approval of this new school and several companies have gotten on board to make Heron Bay Academy one of the best schools in the state of Georgia.

One of the tips Serenity Landscapes gave was the importance of putting pre-emergent on the lawn by the end of March to prevent summer/fall weeds. Other topics covered included, maintaining the turf by spot spraying weeds, aerating every 2 to 3 years, edging along turf lines every 2 weeks, and watering no more than once per week. Any spring flowering plants, such as azaleas should be pruned after they flower in spring. All other plants can be pruned almost anytime but it encouraged to prune January-March and October or November.

Each spring and fall the Positive Standards Committee and Serenity Landscapes host the educational seminars for the residents of the Atlanta lake community. Heron Bay Resident and Academy Board Member, Rae Foster said she was thrilled that all of the hard work and energy over the past 3 years has resulted in an approval of the petition. She is excited that Heron Bay Academy offers another choice for tuition free education for her children.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers start with qualifying under the lights on Friday, March 5.
