I popped in at Dean & Roxanne's condo this week to freshen up some rooms and the garage. Although the colors were similar to what they were before, I used paint and metallic glaze to make the colors come alive and feel different in a very good way. This is a great technique to use when you want something a bit different.

The kitchen is marvelous. I like the wine sign!

Can you notice a bit of sheen from the metallic glaze?

Trent & Michelle: Master suite

I finished up with Trent & Michelle's master bed and bath last week. I stripped some wallpaper, textured, and prepared the surface to receive paint. Some surfaces can be stubborn and need just a bit more care to get them ready. They chose vibrant colors to make their bedroom a retreat. Looks awesome!

Finished in Killbuck

The parsonage at Killbuck is done. I spent many hours there painting, refurbishing, and casting an eye to many small details. I believe a great job does lie in the details, folks, because without those it's just a surface job. A big thank you to Gary and Diane for giving me this opportunity.

Small spaces can be frustrating. Closets, little nooks or alcoves, and tucked away spaces sometimes become a catch-all for odds and ends. These are no match for me as I can come in and transform it into usable space. Check out Darrin's closet which we turned into a pantry!

My New Years resolution is to let my customers know what I can do for them. I want to be challenged with what I can provide in my services, and by trying and expanding I can offer these new ways to you. This year has included installing metal walls, acid-washed cement floors, and the texturing of different surfaces. We can do small drywall projects, garage ceilings, or any woodwork - painted or stained.

Yep, the radio follows me wherever I go.

These old pergolas are beautiful.

We are moving along on Pete and Nancy's exterior. Pergolas are being scraped and the first coat is mostly put on the rest of the house. Going a bit slow because of weather, but hanging in there. It shall be accomplished.

Beechy's Garage: First phase done

I have finished the texture, paint, and woodwork at Beechy's Garage. The next phase is to replace counter tops and install some cabinets for a coffee station plus a bathroom vanity. I thank them for being patient during this process. I wish I had ten hands to be everywhere at once!

At Darrin's big garage a metal ceiling is being installed. He will be using this garage for his collected vintage items!

At Beechy's Garage we are covering old paneling with texture and painting. Love to refresh tired surfaces.

I'm working on three big, separate projects right now and it's a bit of a juggling game. I am painting the exterior of Pete & Nancy Dauwalder's home in Bunker Hill, renovating the inside of Beechy's Garage office/waiting area, and getting started on Darrin's big garage project. I love the challenge of piecing it all together and making it work. Here is a sneak peek.

Parade of Homes

I completed a Parade of Homes house for Schlabach Custom Homes this week. I put many hours into getting it perfect for people to walk through. Much painting, sanding, and final coats and touch-ups. It is always a pleasure working for them!

Cement, a bare canvas, and a little acid

Check out the awesome concrete floor I am completing at Darrin's. I acid-washed, painted, and sprinkled it with colorful flakes. The effect turned out so well and I really enjoy trying different things with various surfaces. There is nothing like a bare canvas, my hands, and a little ingenuity.

Guggisberg Cheese

The Guggisberg Cheese retail store was in need of a bit of revamping. Ashton, the manager, gave me a call and got the ball rolling. She was a pleasure to work with. I worked mostly nights to paint, and smooth out the walls and ceilings. We also did the bathrooms and hallway. A fresh coat of paint can totally change the atmosphere. Thanks to the Guggisberg's for repeat business.

The whirlwind of Scooter's house

Scott and Susan's home was a whirlwind of new floor installation, paint, texture, and lots of other things. They were on a tight schedule so I accommodated them by working non-stop until the job was done. Time is money, right? After ten days of work, the job was complete and they were able to move in.

Garage transformation

Darrin's garage went from so-so to bam! I put plywood instead of drywall on the ceilings and walls. Texture was applied as well as water-proofing. After paint it looked like a room that needed carpet instead of a car parked inside.

Take a space and make it your own instead of simply doing it the way everyone always does. You need to enjoy every space of your home and Darrin & Danielle will love this garage.

Darrin's basement completed

Darrin's basement, I can finally say, is completed. The space is gorgeous and full of life. I completed the island by putting together different pieces and making it a beautiful work of art. Sanding, staining, and finishing touches give it some pow. Darrin has been great to work for on this project and I thank for his patience willingness to try new things.

Mike and Ashton were great to paint for. They were moving into a new home to them, and wanted things freshened up a bit. I did the ceilings, walls, woodwork, and backsplash here and brought them back to life. Great couple, and great start for their new home!

Did some texturing and painting of Scott & Sheila's new home this fall. Lots of patching, caulking, painting. I also tore out some cabinets and bookshelves to make space and light for the area. Sometimes the process is long and seems to have no end, but patience is what pays off.
