New year, new app - Cranked!

2013 has been a great year. Sendy has been a success for us, thanks to all who supported it by buying a copy and spreading the word.

We have our fourth app ready and it's called, Cranked! Cranked is a self hosted RSS reader where you can run it on your own server like Sendy without paying any monthly fees.

With Cranked, you can 'mobilize' any truncated articles, change fonts and sizes to your own liking and most importantly, sort articles by the best stories. Cranked uses social media metrics from Facebook and Twitter to determine the most popular stories and load them first when you click the toggle button called 'Crank up the feeds!'.

Sendy baby, where have you been all this time? The answer to our email newsletter woes, Sendy is our latest app that sends trackable email newsletters 100x cheaper via Amazon SES (Simple Email Service). Yes, you read that right! Figuratively, that's 1 cent per 1000 emails.

We knew we couldn't be the only ones out there who thought email newsletters shouldn't have to cost so much. So we are sharing Sendy with you.

Meet our new app, MockVault

We are thrilled to share our second app, MockVault, with you. Akin to our first app–SUBERNOVA, which we built as a solution to manage our projects better–MockVault was created to improve the way we present our mockups.

With MockVault, it is so much easier to walk our clients through mockups without being face-to-face with each other. MockVault bridges that gap. It makes explaining easy to do and getting the message across a breeze.

MockVault has many features but our favourite has to be the Approve button! Why? While it really is just a button, somehow it works better than writing an email. Least that's what we've been told.

Available as a web app, all you need is a browser and an internet connection. So get your mockups annotated and get your designs approved! Go get MockVault.

We are excited to have revamped and launched Infocomm Investments website!

A wholly-owned subsidiary of IDA, Infocomm Investments invests alongside leading VCs in growth-stage IT startups. Through its work, it aims to attract and nurture a vibrant pool of entrepreneurs and startups to enhance the technology depth and increase the diversity of Singapore's tech scene.

We met the objectives of the brief, placing strong focus on the design. The site can also be updated easily through Wordpress.

We're glad that the website for DP Architects that we have developed has gone live. Working together with Manic Design, we lend our programming hand to craft this database driven Flash website.

DP Architects Pte Ltd is an architecture firm with over 1000 professionals in 12 global cities who completed numerous large-scale and complex projects such as Republic Polytechnic, NTUC Building, Marina Centre, Suntec City and the RIBA-award-winning performing arts centre and Esplanade Theatres on the Bay. Some other notable projects include the Resorts World at Sentosa and the Sports Hub Premier Park - developments that will influence the life and pulse of our city-state.

Unnatural Beauty

An impressive installation art exhibition curated by Trine, titled Unnatural Beauty, that will be held between 20 Nov to 04 Dec 09. Admission is free.

Do you know, if you lined up all the polystyrene foam cups made in just one day, they would circle the entire earth once? An average of 274 animals dying each day from entanglement in or ingestion of plastic waste.

The installation aims to create awareness and motivation for individuals to change their plastic consumption habits, while promoting the use of bioplastics by creating a structure made of biodegradable forks and spoons made from corn starch.

A Refresh For Hex Website!

We've finally updated our website after 2 long years! Well, not really that long as it passed by really quickly.

Design trends have been changing at such a fast pace, we have seen more blogs and websites built with standards based languages, eg. HTML/CSS/Javascript. Even Fantasy Interactive (one of our favourite web design firm that started in Stockholm) started embracing standards based technologies that was once considered boring.

Though HTML websites styled with CSS are a big part of today's current trends, that doesn't mean Flash is left behind. Adobe has been working very hard to push it's Open Screen Project, promoting Flash as a platform on more devices and machines eg. mobile phones, televisions and other consumer electronics etc.

Adobe even broke into the "closed" iPhone platform by enabling developers to build iPhone apps with the upcoming Flash CS5. This will bring endless possibilities to developers, consumers and anyone with a product or service to sell.

Ultimately, whether Flash or standards based technologies, we will never do without either one of them.

We've just launched SUBERNOVA! A new online project management service for anyone to manage their projects!

We designed this web application to make designers/developers more productive by eliminating the need to remember important details of their projects, lets them track time, collaborate with team members or clients and keeps their operation smooth by keeping tabs on their invoices, deadlines and more.

Launch of Nikon's Care To Give Site

We just launched Nikons Care To Give website, a viral microsite for Nikon in an effort to drive traffic to Nikon's my Picturetown website and also helping raise funds for children from the Singapore Children's Society at the same time.

Create your video message spoken by children from Singapore Children's Society and send it to your friends. Be sure to sign up for my Picturetown as $1 will be donated to Singapore Children's Society for every sign up.

Nikon - Care to Give

We're working with Hjgher to develop a microsite for Nikon in a viral effort to drive user signups for My Picturetown and at the same time help Singapore Children's Society by donating a dollar for every signup.

My Picturetown is a photo sharing site by Nikon, where users can upload photos from a WI-FI enabled Nikon camera or the web app itself.

Esplanade - Baybeats 2009 Website

You might have guessed, we'll be working with Esplanade for the third year to produce 2009's Baybeats website. Baybeats 2009's website will be packed with new ideas and design concept. Expect a pleasant surprise for yet another year.

BAYBEATS is Singapore's own local annual indie music festival at Esplanade. Since 2001, it has sought to showcase good local, regional and international indie bands, give them an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas, and bring to audiences a fun, free-for-all weekend celebration of great live indie music in a variety of sounds such as post-rock, punk, emo, electro and hard rock.

One other website will be produced for TOMANA, a luxury sports boat designed by famous naval architect Paolo Caliardi.

Trine is a branding / graphic company based in Singapore whose design are driven by a passionate group of people.

Oeno Pte Ltd is setup by 2 partners, one of which owns 2am Dessert Bar situated at Holland Village. The interactive flash based online store will feature various categories of wine where you can purchase at the comfort of your own home.

After days of juggling between work, packing and unpacking, we've finally settled in a new place at Queen Street, just across the road from Bugis Village. Can't be happier with more convenient access to town, good food and of course our clients.

KPE - In Full Operation

Kallang Paya Lebar, now in full operation. The new Phase 2 website is now live.

New features of the website includes an informational Interactive Route Map where you can find out more about the expressway's exits, entrances, neighborhoods, landmarks, conservations and food recommendations of the best food stores recommended by Makansutra.

Explore the map by zooming in, panning around the map to find out more about the different roads around KPE's vicinity. A definite one stop website to gain full knowledge about the new Southeast Asia's longest underground expressway.

Busy busy!

Have been really busy recently. We're very excited to be working on The Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) website, Phase 2, Southeast Asia's longest underground expressway. We're also working on some collaterals for an F1 party event and NTUC online campaign. We've also completed production of a few online collaterals for Tourism Queensland, and Sony Picture's Step Brothers just to name a few.

We are also very excited about a project we are currently working on, can't reveal the details as yet! Basically it's a Rich Internet Application built on AS3, storing data in the cloud and accessible everywhere either via the browser or a desktop application. This application is designed for a specific target group which will help users better manage their projects.

More updates later.

Check out our latest interactive development work for Sony, a collaboration with Qais to produce this beautiful microsite.

Our core task is to develop the flash microsite while integrating Google Maps mashup using the Google Maps API and meeting the tight deadline. During the course of the project, we not only meet the requirements but also exceeded it.

We really had fun designing and producing this website, it's also a great opportunity for us to fully let our creative juices flow. Changi T3 Won Webby Awards!

Working in collaboration with Qais Consulting last August taking on the task of flash development and animation, we have launched the new Changi Terminal 3 website.

Today the website won the Webby Awards (under Websites/Government category)! Of the more than 8000 entries submitted to the 12th Annual Webby Awards, fewer than 15% were distinguished as an Official Honoree. This honor signifies an outstanding caliber of work. We're extremely happy to be part of this award and we'll continue to produce outstanding interactive work.

We have just launched the brand new website for globalracingschools.com. Global Racing Schools, sales agent of over 300 schools worldwide, offers a wide range of Motorsport experiences from the world's top schools and teams. The database driven website allows convenience for both users of the website and the client who manages it. Everything from the news, bookings, membership registrations and gift certificates can be managed using the custom built intuitive CMS system based on the requirements set for us by the client. For a glimpse of the backend CMS system, you might want to take a look at some screenshots.

We have just launched Yolo's website 1 month ago, till date we received 344 quotes submissions and 2 awards namely FCUK Star and Web Design Award. Also, we'll be taking charge of Baybeats 2008 Indie Music Festival website and other design materials so do keep a lookout! We're also building a website for DNA Motorsports - one of the finest company in the importation and distribution of karting/racing products in the South East Asia Region. Thereafter we'll be visiting New York and Toronto in May to recharge our creative energy. You can now visit hex.sg on your mobile phone, iPhone or iPod Touch even if you don't have flash installed. If your mobile supports Flashlite 2.1 you can download the Tic Hex Toe game off hex.sg (visit the site on your mobile) and play it on your mobile! Tic Hex Toe is currently version 1.0 and we hope to improve the game or come up with other mobile games which will be both available on this website and the mobile site in time to come.
