Assalamualaikum wbt

Met up with Dr Nadir Khan, told him that NNM has been having a flu and fever come and go for the past five weeks! Pity her =(

Dr Nadir Khan started the treatment by prescribing nebulizer to NNM, followed by cupping method (please click here to know how) and lastly suction.

Alhamdulillah, NNM is getting better.

Overally, we're satisfied with the services given by Dr Nadir Khan. I'm not gonna write a review about it, but feel free to Google him to read all the good reviews by others. Top recommended doctor/ clinic.

NNM's favourite nursery rhymes. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Kalau naik kereta, bukak YouTube, pasang video lagu ni, happy je NNM. Macam nak join menyanyi sama. Tak sampai 10 minit, dah tertidur kat dalam car seat. Senang kerja Mommy dan Daddy =)

Selalunya kami pasang lagu ni masa pagi-pagi nak bersiap pergi kerja. Kalau dulu, masa bersiap pagi-pagi tu, letak NNM atas katil biar dia main sorang-sorang. Time tu dia suka ikut tengok Mommy ke hulu ke hilir nak bersiap. Tapi sekarang, bila pasang je lagu ni, khusyuk je dia mengadap iPad. sebelum tidur pun pasangkan jugak lagu ni. Bagi NNM mengantuk betul-betul dulu then baru tidurkan dia. Lagi sekali, senang kerja Mommy dan Daddy =)

heyAwak: Lupa nak update, NNM dah boleh meniarap masa umur tiga bulan. Sekarang bila lepas mandi, asal letak je atas katil, asyik nak pusing je. Siap marah-marah kalau tak dapat. Nomey. =)

Pantai Hospital, Ampang

Been busy lately. Tak sempat nak update heyAwak selalu. Banyak benda nak dicerita. Banyak cerita mahu dikongsi. Lama punya cerita. Semua dah basi. Tapi, it doesn't matter la, kan? Update tetap update, walaupun benda dah outdated. Cerita tetap cerita, walaupun dah lapuk ;p

Okay, where to start? Hmm…

Kalau ikut kronologinya, kita mula dengan cerita Nur Nawal Medina (NNM) warded pada pertengahan Januari yang lepas lah. Kesian anak Mommy, demam dan selsema tak sudah-sudah. Silih berganti. Baik demam, selsema pulak datang. Selsema dah sembuh, demam balik. Tak kebah-kebah.

Orang cakap, kalau baby exclusively breastfeed, susah penyakit nak menjengah ni. NNM memang exclusively breastfeed dari awal lagi sampailah sekarang. Tak tahu mana silapnya. Hmmm…takpe lah. Mungkin ada hikmah di sebalik semua ni. InsyaAllah.

4 hari 3 malam di hospital. Tak lekang Mommy dan Daddy dengan NNM. Risau bila doktor cek suhu NNM, 39.7! Tapi Alhamdulillah, lepas masuk ubat ikut punggung, suhu NNM turun mendadak. Lega. Tapi bila doktor maklumkan keputusan ujian darah, rasa risau datang balik. White blood count NNM tinggi sangat. Normally for baby, bacaannya antara 4-11. Tapi NNM dah jejak 25.6! Doktor sarankan we stay for another 2 nights, cukupkan 3x pengambilan antibiotik. Sedih tengok NNM kena drip. Masa mula-mula nak ambil darah, NNM menangis sampai takde suara

Selesai bab demam, tinggal part selsema je yang tak sembuh lagi. Hari terkahir, sekali lagi rasa tak sampai hati tengok NNM masa fisioterapi. Sedut semua kahak dan hingus. Kesian anak Mommy

Alhamdulillah, hari terakhir di hospital, NNM dah boleh ketawa dan main-main macam biasa. Macam gambar kat bawah ni!

Alhamdulillah. We (En Selangor and me) are 27 this year. Mine was on 30th January, and En Selangor's will be this coming 4th February. Alhamdulillah, with the existance of our beloved princess, Nur Nawal Medina, I can feel that my life is complete. Totally complete!

Alhamdulillah, usia Nur Nawal Medina dah menginjak ke tiga bulan pada 10hb yang lalu. Dah besar anak Mommy! :)

Minggu lepas kami bawa Nur Nawal Medina ke kandang kambing di Kapar, ambil peluang untuk memilih dan memperkenalkan Nur Nawal dengan kambing yang bakal disembelih untuk majlis akikah dan berendoi Nur Nawal Medina pada 28hb Januari depan. InsyaAllah.

Sesi memilih kambing untuk akikah. Ada seekor kambing yang seperti menyerah diri di saat kambing-kambing yang lain melarikan diri berkumpulan apabila pintu kandang dibuka.

Yang berwarna coklat. Itulah kenderaan yang bakal Nur Nawal Medina tunggang ke syurga kelak! InsyaAllah :)

3 months. Yeay!

Assalamualaikum.

Sabda baginda s.a.w: Bagi setiap tegukan susu yang diberikan kepada bayi, ibu mendapat satu pahala kebaikan. Jikalau ibu terpaksa bangun pada malam hari kerana bayinya itu, maka ia dapat pahala sebagaimana pahala orang yang membebaskan hamba sahaya 70 orang di jalan Allah. Apabila seorang wanita menyusukan bayinya, maka setiap tegukan susu yang diberikan memperolehi pahala yang sama dengan pahala orang yang menghidupkan seorang yang mati. Apabila ia memisahkan penyusuan bayinya (setelah cukup usia), satu malaikat khusus akan mengucapkan selamat kepadanya kerana keberhasilannya melakukan tugas menyusukan anaknya. Dan ia berkata: “Dosa-dosamu yang lampau sudah diampuni”.

Alhamdulillah, semalam 10hb, genap tiga bulan usia Nur Nawal Medina. Syukur Allah murahkan rezeki dan permudahkan urusan untuk terus menyusukan Nur Nawal Medina selama tiga bulan ini. Jika diizinkanNYA, InsyaAllah saya mahu susukan Nur Nawal Medina untuk satu tahun tujuh bulan lagi. Itu yang seeloknya. InsyaAllah. Semoga Allah permudahkan semuanya.

Selamat ulangbulan ke-tiga, anak Mommy. Besar nanti jadi anak yang solehah ya, sayang.

Nursery: 1st Day

Alhamdulillah, masuk minggu ke-tiga bekerja selepas dua bulan cuti berpantang di kampung. It's been a while since my last update. Umur Nur Nawal Medina pun dah menginjak dua dua bulan setengah. Alhamdulillah, we brought her for two month's check up at Klinik Kesihatan Putrajaya. She got her second injection and she is 4.55kg now! Berkat susu Mommy. Okay la tu kan even baby orang lain dah nak jejak 5kg? Sebab Nur Nawal Medina masa lahir pun memang kecik cenonet je. So bila nurse cakap berat Nur Nawal Medina dah 4.55kg, teruja dan seronok la! :)

Okay, back to main topic. Hari ni first day hantar Nur Nawal Medina ke sekolah. Sebelum ni, MIL tolong jaga kat rumah sementara cuti sekolah tak habis lagi. Flashback balik dua minggu lepas masa first day masuk kerja lepas dua bulan bercuti, teresak-esak jugaklah masa salam tangan MIL pagi nak pergi kerja tu. Salam serah tugas la kononnya, "Ma, tolong tengok-tengokkan Nur Nawal Medina masa Huda pergi kerja ni ye." *Terus menangis. Tutup muka dgn tapak tangan.* Teheheh ;p

Pagi ni masa tengah bersiap, Nur Nawal Medina main-main macam biasa atas katil dengan Daddy. Happy je dia. Masa dalam kereta nak ke nursery pun, Nur Nawal Medina tersenyum-senyum je. Tapi sampai je depan pintu nursery, terus menangis. Sebaknya rasa. Tak sampai hati nak tinggalkan. Masa drive nak ke Putrajaya pun, adegan teresak-esak macam dua minggu lepas berlaku lagi T___T (Al-maklumlah, first baby kennn?) ;p

Sampai je office, terus pergi breakfast. Curi masa untuk pam susu untuk Nur Nawal Medina. Around 11am, called nursery. Alhamdulillah, babysitter cakap Nur Nawal Medina tak meragam pun. Tadi pagi dia menangis sebab panas kot sebab masa hantar tu memang lengkap berbedung dan berselimut. Bila bawa masuk bilik ber-air-cond je, terus Nur Nawal Medina senyap. Masa mandi pun tak banyak ragam. Menyusu pun okay. Lena je tidur. :)

Alhamdulillah. Lega sikit hati nak buat kerja. Tak sabar nak jemput Nur Nawal Medina dari nursery petang ni. Harap-harap kerja tak banyak dan jalan pun tak jam. Nur Nawal Medina pernah merajuk sebab kami balik lewat. Meragam teruk. Menangis tak henti. Bila MIL bawa masuk bilik kami, baringkan atas katil, terus Nur Nawal Medina senyap. Dia rindukan Mommy dan Daddy rupanya. Comel je :)

Harapnya hari ni Nur Nawal Medina tak merajuk lagi kalau Mommy dan Daddy pulang lewat :)

Hampir dua bulan berpantang di kampung, bila sampai masa nak balik Ampang, sebaknya rasa. Mengalir air mata Mak saat terakhir melepaskan ciuman ke pipi gebu Nur Nawal Medina. Sayu pandangan mata Abah nak lepaskan cucu bongsu pulang.

Tapi Mommy dan Nur Nawal Medina kena balik juga. Onni dan Datuk di Ampang pun dah tak sabar menunggu kuepulangan Nur Nawal Medina ke Ampang.

Nenek panggil Nur Nawal Medina "Manja". Kemanjaan Nenek betul. Kalau ada Nenek, dengan Mommy pun Nur Nawal Medina pandang sebelah mata.

Sebelum Nur Nawal Medina balik, Atuk dukung lama-lama. Luangkan masa yang berbaki untuk bermanja dengan Nur Nawal Medina, supaya Nur Nawal Medina tak lupakan Atuk.

Genap 44 hari berpantang hari ini. Genap jugalah usia Nur Nawal Medina 44 hari. Alhamdulillah, kesihatan Nur Nawal Medina dan Mommy amat memuaskan selama tempoh berpantang ini :)

Kira saya, banyak cerita yang teruja untuk dikongsikan di sini. Bagaimana indahnya rasa menjadi seorang ibu, melihat Nur Nawal Medina membesar di depan mata selama 44 hari ini dengan seribu satu ragam. Bahagianya tidak dapat diungkap dengan kata-kata.

Suka untuk saya kongsikan serba sedikit rasa indah itu dengan kalian semua. :)

Membesar bagai juara. Alhamdulillah, selepas 35 hari berat Nur Nawal Medina dah 3.6kg. Dah makin tinggi jugak anak Mommy ni :)

Alhamdulillah, Nur Nawal Medina memberi tindak balas yang positif terhadap semua ujian yang dijalankan.

Nur Nawal Medina ni memang good girl betul. Tak meragam sangat masa cucuk. Lepas je cucuk, terus lena :)

Daddy cakap, kalau tangan dua-dua ke atas macam ni, maknanya Nur Nawal Medina tengah "meneran" ;p

Assalamualaikum wbt.

First of all, sorry for the late update. I believe some of you already knew from the previous entry posted by En Selangor, but still I wanna excitedly inform that we're officially a Mommy and Daddy! Alhamdulillah :)

OMG! I don't know where to start, but still I wanna share with you guys about my first experience giving birth to my very first cute little girl.

I was due on 15th October, but I knew I wouldn't be on time. Instead, I asked En Selangor to bring me back to hometown on the 8th to meet makabah and my siblings a day before delivery. It was a happy and relief moments for me as I can see them and asked for a forgiveness.

The contraction started on the Saturday night actually. I don't know either I can called it as a contraction or not, but at that time, I felt like going to the toilet every single minute, but there was 'nothing'.

I went to bed and woke up at about 7am, without contractions. I had an energising breakfast and started to help mak did all the chores.

At around 530pm, we headed back to Ampang. This was the time I realized that I actually was having a real contractions. I stared at the clock in front, it were every fie minutes, each one lasting about 15seconds. It was like you'te having your period pain, and since I still manage to handle the pain I didn't tell En Selangor about it. Not wanting to let him worried all the way back to Ampang.

We reached Ampang at around 730pm. I only informed En Selangor it's about time just a several kilometres from home. At first, he decided to take me straight away to HUKM. But I refused. After perform my Maghrib and Isyak prayer and had a heavy dinner, I took the opportunity to recite the Quran before lastly I realized that I was having a bleeding/shows or mucus plug. That was the time we, En Selangor and me, decided to go to HUKM. It was 1100pm when we reached there, together with my PIL and BIL.

"Actually, you're four centimeters dilated already," the doctor in charge said with a smile.

"I'll contact and inform your O&G about this and we'll see what she's gonna do," he continued.

I didn't know how to describe the feeling when he said that my O&G, Prof Azurah, suggested to break my water first before sending me to the labour room, since the contraction was quite strong and I could give birth in three hours time.

I don't mind admitting that the few hours before the birth were the most traumatic from my point of view. And I admit it that I wasn't strong enough to hold the contraction, so I decided to go for an operation since I didn't take any injection or epidural before. Oh my, sekarang baru betul2 faham kenapa orang cakap syurga itu di telapak kaki ibu.

Tak mencabar langsung nak cerita pasal giving birth, tapi operation, kan? Huhuhu.

Okaylah, enough said, the operation went well and at 3.25am, we're officially a Mommy and Daddy to our cute little princess, Nur Nawal Medina binti Mohd Zaiman Noris [Facebook album link - if you're are within our networks].

Assalamualaikum.

Attention, people.

We are now a proud parents of a 17-days-old baby girl named Nur Nawal Medina binti Mohd Zaiman Noris. This bundle of joy was born at October 10th at UKM Specialist Center. Weighed at 2.4 kilograms, brought into this world via C-section. Alhamdulillah.

We also wanna thank all those who visit us, in HUKM, in Ampang and in Sungkai. Thank you for the wishes, for the presents and for the welcome.

This is only a tenth of what you people gave us. We are truly honor to have such a thoughtful friends & families.

Nur Nawal Medina & her mother are now in Sungkai. As of this morning, our lovely daughter is now weighed at 3.25 kilogram, exclusively breastfed.

Labor Signs

This is going to be a swift update.

There are 4 major signs of labor, and I believe the pain i'm having now is called Braxton-Hicks contractions. Currently the pain is 5 minutes apart. We mistaken this for true contractions too (as most first time parent). *keep calm*

According to mak, my belly still not dropping, which is the most obvious sign of labor. I'm in my week 40.

Although Mommy and Daddy cannot hold you, or give you a hug, Mommy can feel you move inside me, and know that you are doing alright. Alhamdulillah.

Mommy just wanna let you know, Mommy enjoy every moment when you kicked so brave inside. The joy kept growing fonder, Mommy and Daddy couldn’t wait no longer to see your precious face.

As off today, I'm less than two weeks from my EDD. In this stage, my gynea recommends that I walk a lot to help stimulate natural birth. So this was us 'walking' around town last weekend.

Last but not least, food. I actually heard quite a lot of this burger joint - Carl's Jr but never had a chance to try it (more like En Selangor kudukut). Last Sunday, we had a bite of this famous SuperStar. and it was a delicacy.

To further continue this walking exercise, last night we went to KL Downtown. We went a tad early and most booths are preparing to open but I managed to grab a long skirt. Hew hew hew.

Hospital Bag

It’s really hard for me to believe how time has just been flying. Today I’m already 37weeks and 2days pregnant and about 19 more days to go to physically meet the little one inside. Great time really flies fast, aite? While drafting this entry, deep inside my heart, I know I will totally miss all the precious moments, all the ups and downs I had to face during this pregnancy phase.

Okay, I started to feel a warm tear gonna drop down from my eyes, so let’s move to the main topic before it happens ;p

Actually, I already prepared my hospital bag in my 34 weeks of pregnancy. As this is my first time, I did visit other mommies' blog and asked from the experience people on preparing this hospital bag. There’s many different ideas for preparing the hospital bag. After all, I came with an conclusion that the checklist is very extensive, and I may not need all the items. So I just pack what I think would be essentials for my situation.

Here goes the list

For Mommy:

Large T-shirt (front-opening for breastfeed)
Batik sarung, head cover
Nursing bra, breast pads
Disposable panties
Maternity pads
Towel, toiletries
Going home cloth
Pre-natal class notes, pen
Surah Yassin
Telekung
Laundry bag

For baby:

Clothes (3sets)
Mittens, booties, bonnets
Receiving blanket
Towel, napkins
Barut
Diapers
Nappy cream, baby oil, cologne

Although some people said it is very important to consider splitting Mommy’s and baby’s stuff into different bags, but in my case, I just pack all the stuff (Mommy’s and baby’s) in a single bag as this is just an emergency bag for delivery. And yes, we didn’t pack for Daddy’s stuff

En Selangor and me decided to deliver our first baby at HUKM, which is not far away from our house and already booked the specialist there since my 5 months of pregnancy. Alhamdulillah, all the check ups with Prof Azurah, the O&G, went well.

So dear friends, please pray everything gonna be okay and perfect during my first delivery later, okay? :)

Baby Shower

Remember the saying, good friends are hard to come by? Turns out, we have plenty of 'em. <3.

30th July was the day chosen for Huda's Baby Shower. We celebrated this at Apartment Arabella, Cameron Highland. This story is better be told in pictures. I know you guys love 'em. Let's go one by one, shall we.

The food was aweeee-ssooommmeeee! yummeh & plenty :O

We truly feel at home. Deco was breath taking.

Look at all the decorations and foods we had. During that time, we still didn't sure the gender so we went with both color. Every single of them was prepared there. And not forgetting, choc fondue with strawberries. What's the point went to Cameron Highland all the way without fresh strawberries? We borong a lot!

The place we rented is MPSJ's apartment. Gladly one of our friends work there and managed to get this place for a super, super, super low deal. Perks of being gomen's staff, eh.

We surely are young parents. Let's hope we will be a good one too.

We had a few rounds of games. If I remember them correctly, we played:-

Draw a cute baby, while blindfolded! Everyone was arguing that their was the cutest. Most of the drawings are not even remotely resembled a kid. LOL.
How to fold baby's napkin, on a balloon. Turns out, everyone did quite OK in this. Even the boys.
Compose your milk. We need to choose two number, each for sugar & milk. These number will then determine the size of your spoon. Boy, some of the turned out drink are not even edible. Haha.

Winners walkaway with cute prizes while the losers are punished. Let's just keep this blog kids friendly by not telling what sort of punishment they went. Hihihihi. Those were witty moments. Laughter all the way.

The next day, we had some sightseeing. It was cold & breezy. Me gusta.

4D Scan

As promised before, this entry is all about my first experience on 4D scan last week. En Selangor booked an appointment at Klinik Ajwa, Seksyen 7, Shah Alam. We both were extremely excited for this. Couldn’t hardly wait to see the progress of our little one inside.

Firstly, let me give you a simple but clear explanation about the difference between 2D, 3D and 4D scan:

A 2D scan displays 2 dimensions - height and width.
A 3D scan displays 3 dimensions - height, width and depth.
A 4D scan displays 4 dimensions - height, width, depth and movement.

FYI, A 4D scan is also referred to as "Live 3D" as the 4th dimension is time which is the actual movement of the baby.

In Layman terms, 2D is the normal ultrasound scan which we endure during routine checkups. Another scan which you may hear is detailed scan. Basically this is done using the same equipment as ultrasound except it will be done in thorough. Sonographer will look for anomalies during this scan procedure.

There is another scan which done in first trimester for 'Down Syndrome'. This is must for late age mothers because the latter your pregnancy is, the higher the chances is.

Anyhoo, lets go back to last Saturday. We reached there at around 1100 in the morning. Since we already book for an appointment, we didn't have to wait longer to meet our baby inside. Alhamdulillah, everything went well. The Sonographer explained everything in details about our baby progress. The baby is in a good condition, but a bit passive on that day.

A day before we went for 4D scanning, En Selangor himself did the laundry for all the baby’s stuffs we bought & received before. TQ awak, for helping me with that. I love you sooooo much.

Pink ada, biru pun ada ;p TQ to beloved aunties and uncles yang bagi present masa Baby Shower hari tu =). I'll cover this event on a separate entry.

Most of these stuff were given by my sister, Kekna. So we didn’t have to spend much for our first baby’s preparation. TQ Kekna, Abg Jas and baby Meya =)

Pregnancy Cravings

First and foremost, it’s still not too late for me to wish all muslim out there Eid Mubarak =). May Allah SWT bless you all for your fasts, daily prayers and terawikh in the blessed month of Ramadhan, InsyaAllah.

Back to the topic, most pregnant lady will experience food craving at some point during pregnancy. I’ve heard stories about crazy things that people craved in pregnancy. Alhamdulillah, I’m not one of them. So, here’s the list of simple-and-easy-to-get food I craved since my first day of pregnancy. ;p

1. Kuah Singgang di Restorah Kuah Singgang, Kuala Terengganu.

En Selangor had to plan a roadtrip to Kuala Terengganu with some of his officemates so that I could eat kuah singgang from Restoran Kuah Singgang there. Here’s the story.

2. Telur ikan pelotan

Okay, I admit it, this is not really easy to get actually. Hahah~ I bet most of you readers haven’t see this, rite? It’s very hard to get. But I still remember when I was a child, Abah came home with this telur ikan pelotan and asked Mak to cook masak lemak cili padi with this. And I’m pretty sure at that time, it’s a very-easy-to-get thing as Abah macam selalu je bawak balik rumah benda alah ni ;p. So I wonder why sekarang susah sangat nak dapat telur ikan ni even kat pasar-pasar besar sekali pun.

However, TQ to En Selangor who drove very early in the morning all the way from Ampang to Pasar Borong Selayang to get this. Alhamdulillah, we’re lucky.

Specials thanks to MIL for cooking this for me. Telur ikan pelotan masak lemak cili padi+belimbing buluh.

3. Wadai Kiping

This is a famous dessert among Banjarian (Yes, I’m Banjarian), and we called it wadai kiping. But its common name is puteri mandi actually, as told by MIL. As in Banjar style, this is how it looks like. A bit different from puteri mandi, which is came in varies colors sometime and bigger size.

4. Cempedak goreng

Can be found everywhere actually. Tapi sebab tak musim, susah sangat nak dapat masa mengidam cempedak goreng ni. Alhamdulillah, dapat jugak akhirnya =))

Antenatal Class

En Selangor and me had our antenatal class early of this month, July 3rd 2011, hosted by Kelana Jaya Medical Center (KJMC) at Hotel Singgahsana. En Selangor was the one who did the survey about this antenatal class and he finally decided to registered with KJMC, which is near to his office. We were charged RM100 per couple and it was one whole day event, started at 0900am and ended at 0500pm.

It is not compulsory to attend this kind of class since most of the information can be read over the Internet and book. But, if you have some time, why not? This antenatal class can help your husband to aware on some important things during your pregnancy. This class also can help parents-to-be to acquire skills and confidence needed to make birth a positive experience =)

Basically, this antenatal class is about all of these:

Care during pregnancy
Information about the process of labour and childbirth
Advice on relaxation techniques, pain relief choices
Massage skills and breathing during labour
Exercise during and after pregnancy
Breastfeeding and baby bathing technique

Overall, it was an OKAY for me since I’ve excitedly waited for the breastfeeding session to come handled by the midwife assigned to learn more about it, but we only given the basic information about breastfeeding. Moreover, the midwife couldn’t answer participant’s question well. But I enjoyed the exercise part. The physiotherapist will demo the exercise first and she will go to participants one by one to make sure we did it correctly.

After class, we took the opportunity to go shopping for our little one inside. Hohyeahhhh~
