According to the female juror, who did not wish to be identified, Smollett’s testimony was unconvincing and left the jury certain that he was guilty.

The jury, which was composed of six women and six men, spent a total of nine hours deliberating the evidence to ensure they could prove Smollett’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

As part of the case, the jury heard from Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, two brothers who had allegedly been paid by Smollett to fake a hate crime against him in January 2019.

Attorney Nenye Uche, representing Jussie Smollett, claimed the brothers asked for $1 million each in return for changing their story.

However, there was insufficient evidence to back up these claims, and along with a series of character witnesses, left Smollett’s defense looking weak.

Prosecutor Daniel K. Webb reportedly had a much stronger case against Smollett, according to the juror, who described his style as “methodical.”

Frank Gatson, the creative director, who had worked with Jussie Smollett, allegedly reported the hate crime back in 2019. His name was on the list of witnesses, although he was never called to the stand to give evidence.

The anonymous juror believes a testimony from Gatson might have strengthened Smollett’s case.

Jussie Smollett could face up to 20 years in prison after his convictions. However, many believe it will be surprising to see him receive a prison sentence given the level of offense and the fact the actor has no prior convictions.

Moreover, Smollett’s lawyer, Uche, says that he intends to appeal. He stated: “100% innocent. He’s going to be cleared of all, all accusations on all charges. The verdict is inconsistent. You can’t say Jussie is lying and say Jussie is not lying for the same exact incident.”

He continued: “We are confident in our appellate system. We are confident in our Illinois Supreme Court, and we’re confident that at the end of the day, what’s out there in the news media and in the gossip forums are not going to stand a chance in court.”

The actor can still count on the support of some members of his family. They were often present in court. Empire star Terrence Howard says that he hopes the ordeal is over.

Brad Pitt has recently expressed his disapproval towards Trump, noting that the president posed a threat to the country with regards to some serious issues that it was going through right now.

This came out in an interview Pitt delivered for a French newspaper, where the interviewer pressed him on about his stance on some of the controversial policies of the Trump administration has put out.

The president threatened to impose hefty tariffs on French wine imports a few months ago, something which many saw as a knee-jerk reaction to the fact that France was attempting to make giant tech companies play by the rules.

Pitt noted that many people in the US were fans of enjoying the occasional glass of rosé, and saw it as strange that Trump would attempt to do something that would surely harm his image.

Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband said: “I do not know. I think we will always drink rosé in the United States. Unfortunately, it’s almost anecdotal. Trump represents a much bigger threat to such more serious issues.”

He went on to say that the president presented a much more significant threat to things that mattered even more in his own eyes.

Pitt did not clarify what exactly those issues were, but he made it clear that he strongly disagreed with the overall direction of Trump’s policies since he became president, and accused him of creating fake enemies to satisfy difficult situations.

Back in 2016, he made some harsh comments about Trump’s election win by saying: “Man, I never thought that would happen. The same way I can’t bring myself to think that Trump will be in charge. In the simplest terms, what brings us together is good, and what separates us is bad. We have this great line in ‘The Big Short.”

He added: “When things are going wrong, and we can’t find the reason for it, we just start creating enemies. Coming from Oklahoma, southern Missouri, which leans more toward a Trump’s voice, I try to understand it.”

Jolie has shown an interest in politics in the past, Pitt might be doing the same here with his harsh criticisms.

The person added: “Angelina would prefer not to make a big scene at Maddox’s new school, but that won’t keep her from visiting. She has already been there with him for the start of the semester, and they had no problems, so she isn’t worried about going back.
