A new year bring new trend and newly discovered designers. It’s time to have a look at what designers are hot for 2013. The following article lists the must have labels or at the very least the labels to keep your eyes on. These are budding designers that have turned heads at recent fashion events. Keep your eyes and ears open, you’ll be hearing these names and seeing their designs everywhere. There might very well be the next Dr Denim amongst these designers.

Webb

Marissa Webb was Elle’s pick for 2013’s designer. She has worked for J. Crew for more than ten years, working her way up to management role. She has finally decided she is ready to launch her own line. Her clothes are casual; her runway trends can be taken straight to the street. Her casual style is not boring though, she uses her Korean heritage to add a unique touch to her style.

Luvon

Liu Lu Jing is the designer behind Luvon. This brand is all about minimalism, crisp fabrics, cleans lines and neutral colours. The inspiration is sourced from New York and Beijing. The brand is all about the modern woman with a Chinese spin. Sophistication and luxury is what you can expect from this magnificent designer.

Clover Canyon

Rozae Nichols is the mastermind behind this label. This label planted its seed in Los Angeles and grown rapidly. The “On the Road” themed collection was shown at New York Fashion Week, one of the world’s most prestigious fashion events. Think of artsy collages but on clothing. It looks like the pieces belong on a gallery wall, absolutely beautiful.

Francesca Liberatore

Italian designer Francesca Liberatore introduced her line at Milan Fashion week, another one of the world’s most prestigious fashion events. It’s a dream come true for any fashion designer. Her unique touch is the photographic images she uses on her pieces. She features this unique pattern with modern colour and flowing eyes. This really compliments the photos and draws your eyes to the pieces. You can’t look away!

Mauro Gasperi

Mauro Gasperi also experienced the honour that is introducing your line at Milan fashion week. The designer graced the catwalk with women’s dresses with nautical stripes, navy and olive green. The designs are simple and mostly cotton but they still demand attention.

Hakeem Balogun

This designers is all about class with dressy kimono’s. This collection is for the men. The collection features crisp suits, blazers and kaftans. At the moment the label is trying to reach the contemporary African man but it has the potential for a broad global impact.
These designers are accelerating their careers in an extremely difficult industry. You’ll be seeing their names in every fashion magazines and fashion week reports over the next couple of months.

Black Hair

Black hair is mysterious, alluring, and seductive. For those with lighter hair, going black can be a dramatic appearance change. Black hair is very well-suited to both traditional and modern hair styles, making it extremely versatile for someone who likes to switch it up often. Because black hair doesn't involve bleaching, it's also a great way to change your hair colour without damaging your hair. There are also completely natural methods for achieving black hair such as indigo.

Black hair usually comes in two different types: warm and cool. Warm black hair reflects brown tones, and cool black hair reflects in tones of blue. Cool black hair is best suited to cool skin tones, such as pale or pink skin. Warm black hair is best suited to warm skin tones, such as olive and golden skin. Black is a very flexible colour, and there's usually a shade of black that will work for anyone.

Brown Hair

Classy and warm, brown hair can work for almost anyone. There are many shades of brown, from deep mahogany to light ash brown. While it may not seem daring, brown hair can be easily adjusted to suit any type of style. Most people have shades of brown hair, and switching from one shade to another can be a way to get a different look while retaining a perfectly natural appearance. For those with cooler skin tones, medium to dark browns will usually look best. Those with warmer skin tones can usually use anything from a very light brown to a medium brown.

Blonde Hair

Glamorous and lovely, many women want blonde hair but are afraid that it will look strange or unnatural. Blonde hair can be very difficult to achieve for many, and ranges from platinum blonde to rosy, strawberry blonde. Blonde, like black, can be an extremely colour neutral color which means there are many ways to make it work for different people. Those with warm skin colours can use a shade of blonde that reflects in gold or yellow. Those with cool skin colours can use shades of blonde that show in silver or ash. Blonde can look unnatural on some people, but unnatural doesn't necessarily mean bad.

Red Hair

Edgy and trendy, red hair has grown in popularity. Red hair can range from a light orange to dark maroon, and most natural red heads are closer to orange than true red. Red hair can be difficult to keep up and the dye fades quite often, so it requires a strong commitment. Red hair in most shades works best with those of a pale, cool complexion. Those with warmer skin tones may find it difficult to find the right shade of red, though darker shades will work better with their skin.

Fall/Winter is here! Do you still feel that your wardrobe isn't ready yet for the season? Here are some itty-bitty reminders on how to make your look extra perfect this season.

As usual the latest craze in fashion is ideal for anyone skinny, perhaps something that doesn’t bother most people, but this can be a problem for those of who are curvier. It can be really hard to find the right clothes especially if you are in the latter body type and need to buy plus size clothing. Here are some plus-sized coats and jackets that caught our eye and some ideas on best ways to wear them. Whether plus size or not, these tips work apply.

Vintage fabrics always work well with anything and can give you a feeling of superiority. And of course, it usually boosts your confidence. I've always loved Guess ad campaigns even as a child. I think, the expression on their models' faces and fab poses makes Guess ads really appealing.

This time, Guess wows us with another ad campaign wherein models Meghan Wiggins and Gigi Hadad posed for photographer Yu Tsai.

"It was amazing to learn about fashion, to learn about denim. To shoot denim, it’s not just lighting; it’s about shaping and really knowing how denim is supposed to fit," Yu Tsai exclaimed.

Don't you just love the monochromatic feel of each photo? There isn't a hint of colour, yet all moods are well-portrayed.

Consistently, I still find Guess ads really fabulous. :)
