So I had the opportunity to try out the BlackBerry Z10 and in short Blackberry will have a piece of the smartphone market. Now that piece will be very very small but at least they have a product in the Z10 that they can grow and develop. (They hope)

There are a lot of Z10 review videos on YouTube that are excellent if you wanna check them out. But I’m just gonna give you my quick barebones opinion of the phone.

1. If you’ve never owned a blackberry and none of your friends have a blackberry this phones not for you. Some features are blackberry to blackberry only.
2. If you own an android or an iPhone you will not leave your current phone for the Z10. Not enough apps available in BlackBerry store.
3. If you left blackberry for an all touch screen smartphone and you really love the blackberry ecosystem then this phone is for you. Or if you still have a blackberry keyboard phone and have been waiting for an all touch screen then the Z10 is for you.

It’s a very sleek smartphone with a great screen size. It’s camera is ok but not in low light (most smartphones aren’t). It’s video effects feature is great. And both allow you to select what size you want your media. It also has a neat photo feature that will prevent pics with people’s eyes closed. And I will admit that browsing the web and watching videos was much better than on my iPhone 4S. It was faster loading sites and videos starting playing almost instantly. The biggest problem for Blackberry will be did they come to the table with an all touchscreen smartphone to late to win back customers. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Well time to head out and buy my iPhone some roses.

Our story aired today on KMBC News at 6pm. Its homeless camp where the occupants have dug these underground tunnels. Now some of the tunnels are well built and stretch pretty far, but go nowhere. Police guess that they could be just a way for the homeless to get out of the elements and as storage.

Police had been to the camp on reports of stolen copper. They found evidence that these guys have been stealing copper from a nearby grain mill and other places. So they kicked everyone out and tore down the camp today.

Ill post the link to the video story when it goes online. KMBC’s Reporter Haley Harrison is much better at telling the story than I am, after all, I’m just the cameraman. :)
