J-Hud & Fam Pre-Grammys+Poprah Makes A Comeback+T.D. Jakes’ Son ARRESTED!

Remember the loud 40 year old talkative drama queen Poprah from “I Want To Work For Diddy”? Well she’s getting her own segment on a new show debuting on CW network this summer. Here’s what her reps sent over:

With other on-air projects in the works, Poprah is also lending her expertise and name recognition to a historic new reality show called “The Write Stuff” that will debut during the summer of 2009 in over 20 cities throughout the country on the CW Network. Executive Produced by Cyrus A. Webb of Shadow Play Entertainment and Celebrity Sports & Talent Agent Glenn Toby the show will take 14 contestants who believe they have what it takes to be the next big thing in publishing through challenges that will test whether or not they really have ‘the write stuff’. At stake will be a book deal for the winner and over $16,000 in prizes to aide them in making their book a success.

“We are excited about Poprah being a part of this project with us,” says Webb,33. He first was introduced to Poprah in 2008 as she was competing on I WANT TO WORK FOR DIDDY. “She has alot to offer, and I think she will be a great asset.”

Don’t know about taking career advice from someone who couldn’t win a show about getting a career, but it’ll be entertaining nonetheless. I just know they better not had removed “The Game” for this ish.

So Jennifer HUdson’s family members, including her sister Julia Hudson (second from left), accompanied her to the Grammys. And they took lots of pics before the big show to remember the occasion.

And Jermaine Jakes, son of Evangelist T.D. Jakes, was arrested for lewd behavior last month. Apparently he walked up to one of two detectives at a park in Dallas with his pants unzipped. He then began to masturbate while making eye contact with the detective. He was charged with indecent exposure. Just…wow.

Brandy turned the big 3-0 yesterday. And she had a party at Nobu in West Hollywood last night:

She hid from the paps behind her own paparazzi camera as she arrived to the restaurant. Her brother Ray-J and Diddy were there too.

But then she took off her fur and let the flashbulbs ensue. I always wonder why certain folks who need publicity run away from it. Just a thought…

Chris Brown’s Aunt: Chris’ Step-Dad Is A LIAR!+Other Drama

Now Chris Brown’s aunt Christine is hopping in the mix. She called into the same station as Chris’ former step-dad and pretty much called step-dad Donnell a liar as he said he never beat Chris’ mom. The radio host also pulled court docs saying he was indeed charged with abusing Chris’ mom. So he lied to Access Hollywood last night and to folks on the radio. He also told Access Hollywood that he tried to commit suicide a while back because of all the drama in his life and went blind because of it. *blank stare* Something’s fishy about all this ish. Christine did defend her nephew and said the step father was horrible to him.

As for the rest of the drama unfolding, word has it Rihanna’s working pretty hard with LAPD to build a complete domestic violence case against Chris. So it’s now come out that LAPD has already had to deal with Chris on some domestic violence issue. Apparently, the police were called out to his hotel room when people called the cops after hearing screaming and breaking dishes:

“He was fighting with his mom. Neighboring hotel guests alerted security and they came upstairs to the room, saw the broken dishes and the mess, and then asked his mother to leave the room. Police were then called, but charges were not filed as Chris simply paid the hotel bill and left the hotel."

We’re hearing rumors of Jay-Z putting out threats on CB. Us Weekly magazine reports: “He hit the roof. Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew.” I did hear something very similar Sunday night from YBF’s own source on the Grammy red carpet. So I wouldn’t be surprised if true…

Meanwhile, Terrence Howard has retracted his statement about the situation. He says he didn’t know the full extent of what happened before he commented. T.I. did the same this week as well.

And Leona Lewis‘ rep has put out a statement that her client had nothing to do with sparking the incident:

“Leona was at the pre-Grammy party with her family and boyfriend and had nothing whatsoever to do with any argument that may have ensued between Chris and Rihanna. Any allegations that the pair had flirted are completely false.”

Paris Hilton, Keisha Chante, Teairra Mari, and a few other ladies have also been thrown in as being tied to the case. Very likely it’s all untrue though.

So someone decided to photoshop a picture of Rihanna and pass it off as real. And of course, certain folks decided to post it without researching and overlooking the horrible photoshop job itself. But of course, TheYBF.com has the real ish and the picture on the left is a photoshopped pic of Rihanna from several months ago and her alleged bruises. The picture on the right is in its original form. Matter of fact, take a look at the other two pics in the bunch:

People are real thirsty when it comes to this. Don’t believe the hype. And as everyone who pays attention knows, Rihanna’s hair and nails looked completely different than this the night of the assault:

Trina Supports Her Man Courtside+Tameka Raymond Slipped Into A Coma!

Trina was spotted sitting courtside at the Denver vs. Miami game this weekend watching her man Kenyon Martin do his thing. And she was extra serious about her support:

Yes, chick got her Minx nails with a dash of Kenyon’s face. I really can’t.

Sigh.

In other news:

Tameka Raymond is said to have slipped into a coma for a while a few days ago, causing the “serious family emergency” Usher pulled out of the Grammy events to tend to. Apparently her body went into cardiac and respiratory arrest following her cosmetic surgery and the doctors put her into an induced coma. She was in the coma for 24 hours. She is still classified as “stable”.

Our friends in the L.A. division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office (who actually takes on most of the cases of the Los Angeles County District Attorney) tell us Chris Brown very likely won’t be popped with any jail time after the assault fall out with Rihanna. Why, you ask? We’re told the LAPD & D.A.’s office tend to fall back on domestic violence cases. Apparently if couples are attempting to work problems out themselves, victims historically become more forgiving, therefore leading to them dropping charges. Of course, other types of consequences are pretty likely. Very interesting…

In other news, LAPD sent the DA’s office all the evidence they had against Chris; however, the DA’s office sent the case back to the LAPD. We’re told the reasoning is not only to “work on it more”, but at this time there is currently not enough evidence to charge Chris with. Apparently the D.A.’s office was attempting to nab him with domestic violence, battery, and a whole slew of other charges.

And LAPD now confirms that Chris Brown received a text message from a woman while he was driving with Rihanna and that’s what started the confrontation that left Rihanna battered and bruised. The person who texted Chris is NOT a rapper, even though a rapper is spoken about in the police report.

Chris’ Lamborghini was dusted for prints when it was brought to the impound. This is the car the assault incident allegedly happened in.

Meanwhile, Rihanna reportedly pulled out of her show in Jakarta, scheduled for tonight, citing "an assault case involving Rihanna's boyfriend." This is just the latest in the several events she and Chris have been pulling out of.

And by the way, I told y’all, right here, that this picture would cause drama. Now folks are saying part of Rihanna’s pissiness was because Paris was all over her man that night. SMDH.

Mekhi Phifer was spotted courtside at the Lakers game last night. He left the fiance and kid at home for a man’s night out.

And I’m convinced Louis Vuitton is just giving away these new neon script bags. Veronica Webb was spotted sporting hers around NYC yesterday while trying to catch a cab.

EVENT FAB: Beyonce, India.Arie, Kimora Lee & Djimon Hounsou

Some of our fave ladies hit the streets last night for some events. Beyonce hit the red carpet of the Unforgettable Evening Benefiting The Entertainment Industry Foundation at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Didn’t love this look on her. Some color would have done her some good. She remains a fab chick nonetheless.

Over in the NYC, Kimora and daddy-to-be Djimon hit the “Style Your Spring” event at Espace. Loving her springy strapless dress. She’s still wearing pregnancy well.

And India.Arie attended her own record release party sponsored by Target and held at Kiss and Fly. You know she brought some uniqueness to her own event. I kinda heart her for it too.

Looks like the Got Milk? people are not doing a body good where Chris Brown is concerned. Apparently they’ve yanked his Got Milk? ads off their website after the Chrihannagate fallout. Rihanna’s still remain on the site. Here’s what the Milk Mustache campaign had to say::

The Milk Mustache campaign is taking the allegations against Chris Brown very seriously. We are very proud and protective of the image of the Milk Mustache campaign and the responsible message it sends to teens. Mr. Brown’s ad was launched last fall and is scheduled to end this week.

Tyra Banks was spotted trying to look incognegro at LAX the other day:

And we’ve got another update on Tameka Raymond:

Specialist Dr. Gabrielle Hunt was flown to Brazil by Usher to help treat his wife Tameka after she suffered serious complications from cosmetic surgery this past weekend. The doctor was spotted leaving the Hospital Sirio Libanes in Sao Paulo where Tameka is being treated. Her family has also flown to Sao Paulo to be with her. Reports are still stating that she’s in stable condition and will be ok. That’s good news.

ChrihannaGate UPDATE: Rihanna’s Grandmother & T.I. Speak Out!

Rihanna’s Grandmother has told the Barbados newspaper (Rihanna’s hometown) that her granddaughter is well and does not have a broken nose like previously reported:

“I don’t want people to worry. Rihanna is fine and she is doing well.”

Rihanna sent a message to her family back home via her close friend letting them know she is ok. As for the exact charges against Chris Brown in reference to Rihanna, Police Sergeant Bridget Pickett says:

“The exact charge was criminal threats and it is going to be investigated as a criminal threats investigation. There may be domestic violence charges added later, but that will be up to the district attorney’s office.”

Meanwhile, T.I. told Carson Daly last night that he’s spoken to Chris since the incident and Chris is “a little concerned”:

GRAMMY COUPLE ALERTS?: Taraji & Lamar Odum+Whitney & Ray-J+Other Gossip Ish

Look who was spotted leaving a Grammy afterparty together last night:

Yep. That’s L.A. Laker Lamar Odom and Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson. And homeboy is holding on for dear life isn’t he? We’ve heard rumors about these two being a new couple who’s trying to keep it on the low. But as usual, they always get caught at some point. Lamar’s been poppin up at some pretty random movie star events lately–like the same Golden Globe afterparties Taraji hit up last month. And now we know why–it looks like another baller/movie star couple is about to take center stage…

Also spotted leaving a Grammy afterparty together last night on the sneak sneak tip:

Whitney *side eyeing her under-the-influence look* and Ray-J. Again. His big sis Brandy says she’s asked Ray about Whitney several times and he continues to say “they’re just friends”. We beg to differ. And we’re going with friends with benefits. I know y’all YBF cougars know the deal.

Anyways, we’re told by a PR source at the same afterparty as them that Whitney was walking around talking in a whisper all night and acting very strangely. She had no security with her, just Ray-J and another couple. And she had definitely had too much to drink. Keep it classy Mama Whit.

Great performance by the Rap Pack.

JT, Al Green and Keith Urban filled in for Chris Brown’s set.

Jenny and Whitney spent some QT backstage looking fabulous. I do hear Whit was full of that “drank” though. Which explains her hilarious Broadway style impromptu speech she gave at the opening.

Solo, T.I. and Sam Jackson kicked it in the audience.

Kanye and Estelle performed.

Queen kicked it backstage with the YBF folks.

A re-injured Travis Barker kicked it with Diddy and Chris Tucker.

Ne-Yo and Jamie Fox performed with the Smokey Robinson/Four Tops.

Oh hey T-Pain.

Yolanda Adams looked fab and kicked it backstage with Ne-Yo.

Weezy repped the N.O. for his set.

Uncle Stevie and Robin Thicke posed for the cameras.

Lupe was spotted in the audience.

And Mary Mary won an award at the pre-show.

Usher had to cancel his Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party performance last night at the last minute. His mother/manager called in saying he had to tend to a “serious family emergency”. While some sources reported a fatal accident during his wife Tameka’s cosmetic surgery in Brazil, that was denied via sources close to her.

It has been confirmed by other sources, as well as YBF’s own sources, that Tameka was indeed in Brazil receiving liposuction and tummy tuck surgeries very recently. Complications relating to that (and that being the reason for the cancellation) haven’t been confirmed by anyone other than Access Hollywood. Either way, Usher’s dealing with a serious family emergency at this time. Hopefully everything turns out ok. Stay tuned for the updates…

We also hear that Kanye West was spotted leaving a Pre-Grammy party this weekend…with a video vixen. Amber Rose, the video chick everyone knows as “having the short hair” and the one who says she “inspired her friend Rihanna to cut her hair”, was spotted following ‘Ye into his car the other night. They were also caught by the TMZ cameras. And folks on the scene say they definitely looked like they were headed for their “nightcap”. Interesting…

The folks over at ONTD caught Lil Wayne, M.I.A., Jay-Z, T.I., and Kanye rehearsing a Grammy performance for “Swagga Like Us”. Apparently it was supposed to be a “surprise”. Oh wells…cat’s out the bag now. By the way, tomorrow night is M.I.A.’s due date. Hope she doesn’t go into labor on stage….

Christina Milian hit up the Radio Killa pre-Grammy party last night looking uber fabulous in a pink and silver Herve Leger mini and Miu Miu sequin pumps. If you’re going to rock an overly worn dress, you better kill it. And that she did.

Beyonce Tapped To Play Angela Davis?+Dwyane Wade Off The STD Hook

Beyonce may be going from Pink Panther to Black Panther in a new movie role. Franco-Algerian producer-writer-director Rachid Bouchareb is filming a movie based on the early life of Black Panther and FBI renegade Angela Davis. And he says he wants to tap Mrs. Carter to play young Angela:

No cast is yet attached but Bouchareb has his lead actress firmly in mind: “I want Beyonce Knowles to play Angela Davis,” he said. “It’s a great dramatic role for her.”

In other news, remember Dwyane Wade’s estranged wife Siohvaughn and all her claims of him cheating on her and giving her a STD? Well Mr. Wade was spotted out (pic above) at Chicago’s Daley Center earlier this morning looking pretty happy. And he revealed that Sio has dropped the charges related to the STD claims:

The charge was included in a divorce filing against Wade being heard in Cook County. Wade’s attorney James B. Pritikin told the Sun-Times that the accusation by Siohvaughn Wade (right) “was never true” and that his client was pleased the matter was removed from the divorce case.

Sean Combs is still polishing his acting chops. He’s set to appear on this upcoming Monday’s episode of “CSI: Miami”. He’s playing an a slick defense attorney. I have a feeling he’s about to kill this role…

Eve is still trying to release her album Here I Am. It was shelved even after she released her hit “Tambourine” and that was two years ago. She says she’s in a label mess right now and has changed the album name to Flirt:

“Unfortunately I am caught up in a whole music label situation…The album is finally going to come out this spring or summer. But with all the time that passed, we went back in and reworked the whole thing. I am truly, truly sitting on some amazing music. Nobody’s been waiting longer than me to get this monkey off my back!

“I had to get in there and put in some upbeat music that I wasn’t depressed about�?�It won’t be called ‘Here I Am’ anymore.”

YBF Exclusive: Vivica Fox Up To Her Diva-Tactics Again…

There’s too many Divas in YBFville this week. We’re told Vivica Fox was cuttin’ up in Iowa recently at the African American Film Festival (yes, black people do live in Iowa). A member of the Film Fest’s production staff dished exclusively to TheYBF.com that “Vivica was a H.A.M.” and was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to almost everyone around her. According to our source, she didn’t even show up to one of her contracted appearances, and proceeded to curse everyone out around her when she showed up tot he second one:

First, she was contracted to do 2 appearances - a gala on Friday and the main event on Saturday. She and her people changed the FIRST CLASS tickets without telling us and didn’t show up on Friday. The event started at 7pm and we didn’t find out until 5pm that she wasn’t going to be here.

And it doesn’t end there. Our source says:

Second, we had one of our African American state representatives pick her up and she was INCREDIBLY rude to him. She got in her green room and was rude to the executive director of the festival (cursing and fussing), and was rude to her own people. She didn’t want to do her contracted autograph session either.

This is just not her best publicity week–first the Psychic Friends Network tries to play her, then “The Cougar” show looks like foolywang material, and now this. Auntie Viv-girl stop.

Tameka Raymond is allegedly not happy about being left behind by her hubby Usher. Insiders say she was told to stay home with the kids, Babies Usher V and Naviyd Eli, while Usher went to Vegas to work on his album. Apparently she’s now “stuck at home” because when Ursh was working on the last album, she was in the mix entirely too much:

“Tameka is really upset that she was asked not to come to Vegas with Usher in December when he left to work on his next album. She tried to have so much influence over his last project that this time, the people involved with the record said she had to stay away. Tameka’s keeping her distance seems to be helping Usher.”

Word has it that Beyonce spent all day crying her eyes out about Etta James ripping her to shreds about singing her song. We’ve got some news from Splitsville. Secrets are coming out about the lies Michael Misick told his estranged wife LisaRaye. Michael is supposedly worth $8 mill, even though he told her he was worth over $60 mill. He also allegedly got a $7 mill loan in LisaRaye’s name and she didn’t even know about it. And when LisaRaye was on her show “All of Us”, I hear he surprised her with a luxury car as a gift. But it turns out it is LEASED, along with the jet he leased as well. Womp Womp Lisa Raye!

By the way, she’s speaking out about her “alleged” long time affair with now retired NBA baller Gary Peyton. She says they were never together and that affair was not bad karma leading to her current “situation”. She also says Michael called her two weeks ago to tell her how good she looked in church that past Sunday. WTF?

So Tameka “Tiny” Cottle chit chatted with Essence.com about her man T.I. going to jail. And she’s letting everybody know she ain’t going anywhere:

ESSENCE.COM: At any point during T.I.’s trouble with the law did you ever feel like throwing the towel in on your relationship?
TINY: No, not at all. It never crossed my mind, especially not for what we have as a family. We are way stronger than that. Now, there are times we broke up, but it was because of personal things we were going through, but not for anything like this present situation. Yes, I was upset that this happened and disappointed by the way it happened, but I didn’t keep arguing with him about what happened. At the end of the day, I’m not leaving; I got him. The great thing about all that has happened is that it has made our family closer and we got to spend more quality time.

ESSENCE.COM: What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about you and T.I.’s relationship?
TINY: That we’re not a real couple. They think because we’re not married yet and have been engaged for two years that something must be wrong. I know it’s a long time, but there are so many restrictions placed upon him now before we can think about planning a wedding. There is so much love between us it’s ridiculous, and we like [spending] time together. So the things that people say and write about us doesn’t bother me. I know what we have and what he shows me every day and that’s all that matters.

She also talks about her “reality show” and getting back to music because people have been telling her they want to hear her “heavenly voice” again. *eyebrows raised*

“Me and Kanye are just friends,” she says, for the record. “He’s a great guy. I’m attracted to the way he thinks. It’s a great quality to be creative and not be afraid to voice that.”

Which is probably why her attitude was more foul than usual all weekend. A new look doesn’t get rid of old habits. Neither does a recent breakup with a boyfriend. Looks like she’ll be getting “down and dirty” at least until her next album drops. And no, we’re not talking about Whitney…

Are You Ready For “The Girlfriends Of Atlanta”?

Everybody in Atlanta wants to be a star. And apparently these chicks are getting picked up by a major network for a new reality show called “The Girlfriends of Atlanta”:

Sigh. I have no clue why or who or what the reasoning is behind this is. But it reeks of possible foolywang material. According to Atlanta Gossip, the show consist of four ladies: Renee aka “Diva,” Regina, Monica and Lyschel who are all busy working professionals and entrepreneurs making a name for themselves in the ATL. Ummm….ok.

And if this oh so graceful car exit by “Ms. Diva” is any indication of the classiness that will ensue, we may just have to watch for the laughs.

Morning Perks: 50 Cent, Lil Wayne & Bobby Brown

50 Cent has been named the 2nd richest African American Entertainer by Forbes magazine. The criteria Forbes used to rank folks isn’t really that clear, but it seems like it could be based off ’08’s earnings only. He made an estimated $150 million thanks to more Vitamin Water sales and other business ventures. He’s second behind Oprah and ranks ahead of Tyler Perry and others. Maybe Rick Ross‘ baby mama should have asked him for some stock options instead of those Gucci shoes and fur. Just sayin’…

Bobby Brown is speaking out about his pregnant girlfriend Alicia Etheridge. He tells People, that he’s “really excited about the new addition” and his lawyers say they’re happy because he’s actually sober and clean. I guess that’s a cause to celebrate. Congrats to Bobby and Alicia.

Katie Couric hit up “Regis and Kelly” today and spoke about her Pre-Grammy interview special (airing tonight) with Lil Wayne. She admitted that she was scared of him. Until he said “Ms. Katie, I’m a gangster.” She says the fact he called her “Ms. Katie” and was so nice and polite, she loosened up. Ha. By the way, she dished that Weezy owns his own line of bowling balls and bowling gloves–that’s why they chose bowling as their interview activity.

Whitney Houston was spotted looking pretty together leaving a medical center in LA yesterday. I wonder what she thinks about Bobby’s umpteenth child being on the way…

Beyonce was spotted on her way to jeweler Lorraine Schwartz’s dinner party in NYC a few days ago. Rocking a long grey Herve Leger evening gown with her grey Casadei shoes and a dark grey coat. Chick needs some color…but she looks fab nonetheless.

And Audra McDonald was spotted on the set of her show “Private Practice” yesterday with her co-star Kate Walsh. Loves that show. And she’s def a YBF chick.

YBF EXCLUSIVE: T.I. Talks New Shows, New Lounge, & New Life

TheYBF.com’s NY correspondents were on the scene at last night’s exclusive screening for T.I.’s “Road To Redemption” MTV reality show. YBF had the chance to chit chat with the King himself, who was decked out in his own clothing line Akoo, as he dished a few goodies. He’s opening up a new lounge in Atlanta, probably halting his next cd, and doesn’t fear going to the slammer–at all:

On what scares him about going to prison:

I’m not scared of prison, but I’m anxious to get it over with and move on with my life.

On the rumors about him releasing another album before he goes to lockup:

I may or may not be releasing an album before the prison debut in March. I’m in the studio now, but the Paper Trail album is doing well, so I may just let it ride instead.

On his upcoming projects and business ventures:

I’ve got MANY current projects in the works. I’m wrapping up a film I produced called Tracker, developing another tv show with MTV, I’m designing my spring line of Akoo… I’m also opening a dessert and martini lounge in Atlanta, I’m running Grand Hustle sports management to help athletes diversify their portfolios, and then numerous community related projects with my foundation The King. I’ve been working with the Boys and Girls, Make a Wish, and others too.

Why there hasn’t been a “Swagger Like Us” video:

The reason there hasn’t been a video for “Swagger Like Us” is because the guys just can’t get together. We can’t keep Kanye in the country, we can’t keep Jay off a boat, and we can’t get Wayne off the (tour) bus. But we’ll all be together for the Grammys. I doubt we’ll even be able to rehearse because of everybody’s busy schedules. We may just step on stage. (Laughs) [He promises surprises at the show though].

What he’ll miss most when he’s in jail?

“My kids, my family, my house, my cars, my food, my life.”

T.I.’s words of inspiration:

Here’s our small glimpse (MTV will probably put the dogs on us if we let too much out the bag) into the docureality show:

The background of T.I.’s case stems from the killing of his best friend and security detail Philant, who was gunned down at a stoplight after T.I. and his entourage fled a nightclub in Cincinnati on May 3rd, 2006. Because T.I. was trying to live right - he stopped carrying illegal guns. He said that the one time he really needed one he didn’t have it, and that led to him being arrested by federal agents in Oct 13, 2007 for trying to buy illegal firearms to protect himself and his family. He was convicted and could have served up to 30 years in prison but he reached a deal - 1 year and 1 day prison time, 1000 hours community service, and 24hr electronic monitoring. He is currently free on 3 million dollars bail.

MTV approached TI about doing a show a la “Lil Kim’s Countdown to Lockdown” on BET - except they were just going to put cameras in his house while he was on house arrest. TI thought it was BORING and said no. Instead he felt like he needed to heal and help other young men and women who were headed down the wrong path so they came up with the the Road to Redemption concept. The series will follow the lives of 7 at risk kids and T.I.’s quest to right their wrongs at a turning point in their lives.

The first episode is an intro to the case and TI’s background. They show his family, Tiny who runs around with multicolored orange hair most of the time of course, and his six kids–and they show intimate moments at home and at his son King’s birthday party. They also introduce an 18 yr old high school drop out and hustler from Atlanta named Pee Wee who started hustling after his dad was killed and he needed to take care of the family. TI steps in and tries to show Pee Wee the consequences of the life that he has chosen and sets out to put him on the right path.

And in celebrity recession news, Usher’s wine bar The Grape closed last month as we all know. The Grape is a franchise and Ursh owned the unit in Atlanta. Now word has it the wine bar/bistro failed to re-open after the New Year and its liquor license has yet to be renewed. According to reports the parent company, Grape Enterprise Group, has also filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Womp.

Congrats to Attorney General Eric Holder. He was officially confirmed and sworn in today as the nation’s first black Attorney General. His mother Miriam (L), his wife Sharon (R) and his children were on hand to see him get sworn in. Loves it.

We’re hearing rumblings from a certain actress from “The Game” that the show is very likely about to get sidelined. A very reliable source who has appeared in numerous episodes on the show reveals to TheYBF.com that the CW network may be in the process of axing its entire comedy division. And that means “The Game” and “Everybody Hates Chris” are on the chopping block. Here’s the e-mail we received:

The Game’s last shooting day is Tuesday [2/3]. Buzz around the set is that they don’t know if they are coming back. I am hearing rumours about CW cutting the comedy division. [spoiler removed], so they wrapped that storyline if they don’t come back. CW cut their budget so there are no wrap parties for their shows this year.

Damn. First “Girlfriends” gets no wrap party love, now “The Game” and others won’t either. Rough times. We all pretty much knew this was coming, though, as soon as they moved the show to the kill slot, b.k.a. Friday night. Oh wells. It was good while it lasted….

Jessie “One Teardrop” Jackson has written a letter to President Obama. It’s posted over at Essence. And the Reverend is asking the new Prez to carefully examine policies relating to the economy, education and Voting Rights Act.

Congrats to President Obama on his first major policy win. His $819 billion stimulus plan (WTF does $819 even look like?) passed through the House last night with nan support from the Republicans. Just one of the benefits of a Democratic controlled Congress. Obama wants un-employed Americans to be able to get back to work and ll Americans to start spending in our economy again. This plan is supposed to help those things. Now the bill goes to the Senate.

PETA must not know ’bout Mama Retha. They’ve been coming at her for years about all her furs and such. But now, her Hollywood Walk of Fame star has been tagged with the word "fur-hag" thanks to an anonymous anti-fur protester. PETA did the same to the Olsens and other folks’ stars. Play with Ms. Franklin if y’all want….

BET’s President and CEO Debra Lee was appointed to one of President Obama’s roundtables concerning this much talked about stimulus package. Assembled at the White House meeting was all kinds of leaders from business and industry. And Deb was one of them. Not sure how I’m feeling about BET being in the mix. But I’ll keep my concerns to myself this time around….

1. For my fellow YBFers who care: Girl Scout cookies have been affected by the economy. They baked a whole lot less this year and won’t even get to deliver to everyone due to rising transportation and baking costs. Damn.
2. Minister Farakhan went to visit former Detroit Player Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick in jail. By the way, Kwame is set to get out in a few days. Word has it he has a job offer in Texas. SMH.

Kelly Rowland is speaking out yet again. A rumor spread that she’s having some financial brokeness and foreclosure issues–thanks to her slashing the price of her Miami home that’s on the market by $500k. But her publicist insists that’s false and it has nothing to do with a financial crisis. Kelly is just ready to get it off her hands since she has actually relocated to Europe:

“Reports that Kelly Rowland's Miami home is in foreclosure are entirely false. Kelly has put her home up for sale because she is working and living in Europe."

Interesting. I guess she’s making that permanent move to the place where folks love her the most. And B’s shadow doesn’t follow her. Just saying…

On Monday, news broke of the murders of Knicks baller Eddie Curry’s ex-girlfriend Nova and her 9 month old child Ava . Ava was not claimed by Eddie as his, even though rumors stated that Ava was definitely Eddie’s. A paternity test was just done and it states that Eddie was indeed the father. I’m sure this makes the double murders even harder for him and their families. The suspect in custody for the murders is Nova’s ex-lover and lawyer. Sad turn of events.

In case you missed it, rumor has it Fabolous and his credit cards–yes, plural–were rejected recently while he was out to eat with friends. According to a source at Eros World Tapas Bar in Atlanta, Fab’s large group requested “the usual excess of champagne and alcohol, so the manager asked for a credit card to start a tab”. None of his credit cards would go through, then things got ugly:

“By the fifth credit card, the entourage member designated to take care of his tab goes outside,” the source said, “only to start a fight with the outside bouncer. He tripped and fell, hitting his head on the concrete and started bleeding. The manager called an ambulance. But as soon as the entourage member also saw the police, he began running away, blood oozing down his face.”

Dawn Richard of Danity Kane has confirmed what TheYBF.com broke first several months ago. Danity Kane is o-vah and she’s pretty much the last one standing. Which– naturally–leads to a solo career we all know Diddy is about to exploit. She and Aundrea are the only two going to be featured on the new season of MTB along with the boys of Day 26. But Dawn says Drea was gone a lot handling some “family issues”. We all know Aubrey and D. Woods got the boot a few months ago. And Dawn confirms that Shannon has left as well–like we reported months ago. And we still stand by the fact we’ve been told Mrs. Bex is going to do a country album. So that leaves Dawn by her lonesome.

She’s not happy about it and tells MTV:

“As of right now, [Danity Kane doesn't exist]. It’s devastating for me.”
“We are the only two that showed up,” she said. “The thing about it … I thought we were all going to come back and talk, or maybe if Aubrey didn’t come back, ’cause I don’t know how Puff was feeling about that, if the four of us got together. I didn’t know what to expect. I just know I got off the plane and found out I was the only one there and Drea came the next day.”

CONFIRMED: Kelly Rowland Has AXED Mathew Knowles!

TheYBF.com reported LAST MONTH that Kelly Rowland was axing Mathew Knowles as her manager. And despite other folks acting like they were breaking exclusive news saying the same thing this week (as usual), our YBF sources were first…and correct.

Kelly Rowland’s publicist just issued Black Voices a statement confirming she has indeed parted ways with Papa Knowles. Here’s what Kelly says:

Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance - both as a member of Destiny’s Child and with my solo projects. Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family.

Papa Knowles says:

“After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship. My company, Music World, will continue to manage Destiny’s Child as a group. As an artist Kelly has incredible talent and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost, and as a dad I only have love for Kelly.”

While Kelly and co. haven’t confirmed who her new manager is, TheYBF.com broke news of the split first in December. And dammit, I’m giving Kelly a pat on the back. ‘Bout damn time….

Mary J Blige: Keyshia Cole Cannot Sing A Tribute To Me!

YBF sources (who also work on BET’s production team) tell us that Mary J. Blige and her MANager Kendu relieve Keyshia Cole of her tribute duties recently. The BET Honors Event was taping here in DC during Inauguration weekend. And Mrs. Blige received an award for her accomplishments and contributions to the world. But here’s what went down: Both Anita Baker and Keyshia Cole were tapped by BET to sing a tribute to Mary. But when Kendu found out, we’re told he shut that down real quick. He was overheard telling BET staffers days before the taping that Keyshia can’t sing to Mary. He went on to say there’s already too many comparisons between the two and they don’t need any of that for this event. Damn.

Ms. Baker sang her tribute to Mary, and Monica was asked to take Keyshia’s place. We’re told the audience was “treated” to a Keyshia Cole performance via satellite (since she didn’t even make it to D.C.) during the taping and no one understood the point of it. No word on if that part will air or not on February 22nd. Womp.

Yesterday news broke that Monica’s man (we’re still unsure if they’re officially married or not) Rocko was in a club scuffle over the weekend with a greoupie chick and he may be going to jail. But today, Rocko says it’s all a misunderstanding and not really true. He and Monica were partying it up this weekend and they asked a certain groupie to leave the VIP area. Why? Who knows. Chick decided not to leave and started popping off on Rocko. They had her “removed”, and now she’s trying to sue both him adn Monica. Rocko claims that his lawyer is telling him to settle for a plea bargain that would put him in jail for a couple days. *side eye* SOmething aint right here….

My site has been bombarded with cruel and unnecessary remarks about race and I can't sit back and keep my mouth shut any longer.

I personally am shocked that in this day and age people are still so judgmental and racist �?? it blows my mind! I was raised to believe that all people are created and viewed as equals and never judged by something as meaningless as the color of their skin! I guess I am blessed to have parents that didn't brainwash me and cloud my thoughts with their petty views.

I was raised to judge a person by their spirit and heart. I base my opinions of people by how they treat me and others. Point blank! How does one person's color,�?� �?�weight, height, language define who they are? It is sad that people are so mean and so willing to promote their ridiculous views! It's almost like they think it's cool to be racist and prejudiced.

Leaving comments like that are just wrong! I love all my fans, I really do! And I love when you guys defend your opinions but I can only read so much foolishness before I feel I have to say something. I hate erasing comments that you guys post because I want you all to feel like your voices are valid but some comments are so brutally heartless that I have to get rid of them. I feel like I am playing a game that I can never win �?? if I hung out solely with my own race then I myself would be considered racist and someone would comment on that issue. If I have friends of all different races, then what? Is that unacceptable too? I have friends of all different races and ethnicities and I am blessed to be exposed to so many different cultures �?? I wouldn't change it for the world.

If I want to date a man that treats me great, then I will! I don't care what color his skin is as long as I am treated and loved the way I want. If I want to be friends with someone who is loyal and lives up to my expectations of a friend, then I will! I don't care what she looks like. People, we have so many other things in this world to focus on. Get a life! And if you don't like who my friends are or if you don't like who I am dating then get off my website! It's that simple!

I feel you and all Khloe. But it would have been way less hypocritical if you weren’t just on the Chelsea Handler show going on…and on…and on about how you only do black guys. Just sayin’…

Charli Baltimore’s speaking out about Biggie when you read the rest…

Charli Baltimore is not feeling the new Notorious movie. Surprise surprise. She did an interview with AllHipHop recently and said the movie should have never been made by Mrs. Wallace–only Faith Evans. And she refuses to see the movie because it’s “unrealistic”.:

AllHipHop.com: People have been questioning why you were left out of the film.

Charli Baltimore: From what I'm understanding, the one particular scene which I guess bothered me more than anything was that me and B.I.G. were in a really, really, traumatic car accident. I almost died in that car accident and for them to downplay it�??and again I didn't see the movie so I don't know how much it's downplayed or not�??but for them to downplay it the way that it was, the way that it occurred�?�it bothered me. That's what probably bothers me more so than anything. I don't usually do too many interviews regarding Big.

AllHipHop.com: Were you asked at all to have any input in this movie?

Charli Baltimore: I was never asked to have any input in this movie and I do know the person that was putting this movie together and actually me and him were tight, so I have a little issue with that. That person also, he knew Big but he didn't know Big like that. It's funny to me, the people that put this movie together, it's almost like they were picking and gathering information and like sticking it together and it's not accurate. I don't need to see the movie to know that it's not accurate so, it is what it is.

AllHipHop.com: They showed some violent scenes between Lil' Kim and Big. Did you witness any of that?

Charli Baltimore: The only violence I ever saw was a situation where Big and I were together on the bus and my clothes were strewn all over the bus and I couldn't figure out why�?�I didn't know what was going on at the time. I said, "Why are my clothes all over the bus like this? They were folded up nice and neat." We were in the back of the bus and I walked off the bus and when I was coming back on�?�Kim was getting kicked off the bus�?�foot to her butt, onto the ground. She had rummaged through my clothing, Big was upset about it and he kicked her on the butt off the bus. That was the only violence I've ever seen between them.

T.I. gave a super-special performance last night at Vegas’ Jet Nightclub at The Mirage as part of the nightclub's "Locals 3 Year Anniversary" celebration. It was his last west coast performance before heading to prison in March on a felony weapon charge conviction.

And Kanye is still over in Paris hitting up all the Haute Couture Fashion Week shows. He hit up Chanel and Chrisian Lacroix this week.

Word has it Rihanna only allows Yes people around her and people who treat her like a queen. Popular UK tv personality Eamonn Holmes has put out a statement saying if Rihanna was your child, you should slap her:

“I find the entourages that some people come with, especially the Americans, really pathetic.

“Rihanna, for example, is a beautiful girl, but if she was your daughter, you’d give her a slap and tell her to wise up.

“She is surrounded by people who treat her like a little flower.”

She says she’s not a gold digger like everybody’s accusing her of, and she’s never claimed to be “hood” since her father was a multi millionaire who owned hotels. motels, and all kinds of things on the South side of Chicago:

ESSENCE.COM: Many balked at your whirlwind romance and marriage and accused you of being an opportunist. How do you feel about that assessment of your character?
LISARAYE: First of all, I’m a fan of love and partnership. I would say this to my critics: If a man comes to you there obviously has to be a connection. I had a man who’s smart and powerful and who I fell in love with. He’s embracing my family. Add the fact that I have an opportunity to bring tourism to his country and be involved in something historical. Who in the hell would say no? But what scared me was the idea of being First Lady?

ESSENCE.COM: What frightened you about assuming that role?

Apparently this is how Kelly Rowland spends her days now. Chillaxin’ on the beach in Miami.

And so it begins. Members of the Black Artists Association are upset with First Lady Michelle O. for not wearing any African American designers during the Inaugural festivities. Black fashion designers are a bit heated and feel like they were slighted. Here’s what the leader of the BAA had to say:

"It's fine and good if you want to be all 'Kumbaya' and 'We Are the World' by representing all different countries. But if you are going to have Isabel Toledo do the inauguration dress, and Jason Wu do the evening gown, why not have Kevan Hall, B Michael, Stephen Burrows or any of the other black designers do something too?"

Asked if perhaps the First Lady isn't looking at the world colorlessly, Eele said, "It's one thing to look at the world without color but she had seven slots to wear designer clothes. Why wasn't she wearing the clothes of a black designer? That was our moment."

Secret Service and his staff are allowing him to keep the Blackberry for limited use–e-mailing his personal friends and his staff. And word has it he fought extra hard to keep up his addiction. He said that during the campaign his biggest addiction was checking his BB. Michelle has even had to slap his hand when he checked it during the girls’ soccer games. I feel his pain. Blackberry users unite! Congrats!

Chris Rock has made a documentary about “Good Hair”. One of his daughters asked him "Daddy, how come I don't have 'good' [meaning Caucasian] hair?" So he made a trip all around North America to document what black girls and women go through for their hair. The movie is debuting at Sundance Movie Fest right now.

We’ve got exclusive casting details on the new “Family Guy” spinoff “The Clevelands”. Reagan Gomez has been recast as the voice of the teenaged daughter. And YBF chick Sanaa Lathan will play the voice of her mom. Reagan tells TheYBF.com that she’s “really excited about it”. The Clevelands are the black family friends with the main character family on “Family Guy” and they are now getting their own show on Fox. Congrats to the YBF chicks!

I don’t know how true this is but the story is funny as hell and slightly believable. So it must be posted. Here’s an e-mail I got about Usher and Tameka wildin’ out on a 6 year old at Inauguration:

While Usher was in D.C., a 6-7 yr old girl approached him for a picture. Apparently, his bodyguard pushed the little girl down to the ground, and she cried. No one helped her, and guess what? Tameka laughed! So Usher then says he’s pissed because someone is always trying to f*ck things up for him. Wtf?!

The little girl only wanted a picture. As a celebrity that’s his job, and as a mother, I’m ashamed of Tameka, who has kids herself. She wouldn’t want anyone to do that to her children.

As packed as it was around the Capitol and as crazy as everybody’s personal security was acting this week….I can only imagine this ish.

By the way, she’s remaining mum about her new baby boy’s name–she wants him or her to be the first to hear it.

First Lady Michelle Obama is not playing around when it comes to her girls. She’s reportedly upset with the Beanie Baby company for making these “Sweet Sasha” and “Marvelous Malia” dolls. Through her spokesperson, she released a statement calling them “inappropriate”. Ty (the company who makes Beanie Babies) says these dolls have nothing to do with the First Daughters and people are misunderstanding them to be dolls modeled after Sasha and Malia Obama. Even thoughthe spokeswoman for the company originally told Crain.com that the dolls were designed with he Obama girls in mind. Now she’s retracting it. Um, how stupid do these people think we are? The dolls hit shelves right before Prez Obama’s Inauguration this month.

By the way, the Obamas are the cover of this week’s People mag.

EXCLUSIVE: Jay-Z Talks With YBF About Business

Jay-Z was here in D.C. all week and TheYBF.com had the fabulous opportunity to have a one-on-one in-person chat with Mr. Shawn Carter himself. YBF is the only celebrity entertainment site asked to chit chat with Mr. Carter at the Pentagon City Carol’s Daughter store opening. We also chatted with Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Price. And here’s what Mr. Carter had to say about his investment ventures with the Carol’s Daughter brand:

Natasha: Jay, what drew you to the Carol’s Daughter brand and made you become an investor?

Jay-Z: I wasn’t drawn to the brand for products initially. But what drew me to the brand was way back when [Steve] Stoute and Lisa had their first meeting to dream all of this up. I happened to be riding by and I was introduced to Lisa. Her story was so incredible. You know, somebody who started making products out of her own home and to see where she is right now. It’s a wonderful thing.

Natasha: Which products are you using and which does your wife [Beyonce] love and use?

Jay-Z: I was drawn to the story of how the Blue Ocean…or Ocean…[leans over and laughs to Lisa asking what the exact name is]…yeah, Ocean. That’s MY favorite. As for anybody else’s favorite–you would have to ask them. [laughs]

Natasha: I mean, you HAVE to know your wife’s favorite. You have to know what you would buy her as a gift.

Jay-Z: [smiles] I mean, I guess it’s my favorite. So I would buy her my favorite. I mean, I love them all. [turns to Lisa] That’s why you need to come on over to the house and outfit the whole thing with products. [laughs] I’m trying to get her to come over and really…outfit everything. Because even when you just smell the store, the fragrances just sit there. It’s good.

[Lisa tells him she has some face wash products she really wants him to try that she knows he would love.]

Natasha: So can we get one piece of advise for Barack Obama that has nothing to do with politics?

Jay-Z and Lisa: Wow…wow. Good question! [laughs]

Jay-Z: You need to let Lisa come and outfit the White House with this whole thing. And get his “situation” smooth. [laughs] Michelle’s gonna need that.

Jamal Gravy Woolard is facing assault charges stemming from an alleged altercation with his wife. He was arrested 3 months ago in September. Who knew this dude was married? No word on who she is other than her name being Trina Younger. The woman above is who he showed up to the Notorious premiere with. Jamal allegedly slapped Trina in their East New York home during an early-morning argument because he came home late.

According to the police report, Trina dared her husband of seven months to hit her. Jamal says: "She wouldn't stop pushing me, so I snuffed her." Jamal faces the judge on January 29th. But get this–his mother in law–Trina’s mother–is saying this story sounds made up and Jamal is too good of a husband to hit Trina:

"I know he wouldn't hit her," says Roslyn Younger, the actor's mother-in-law. "He's not like that. Most definitely, they have a good relationship. That's impossible. I think it's made up. He's a loving husband, and I never heard of anything like that before in my life."

Yes indeed. Art imitating life?

One of Soulja Boy’s male stans is putting him on blast for allegedly trying to stay in the closet while Soulja Boy’s been texting and sending him gifts. Including the new puppy and Gucci puppy bag. As you all know, YBF was on the scene for several Inaugural balls and events and parties over the last several days. Most celebs were nothing short of fabulous, YBF lovers, or just having a great time all around. But we came across a few celebs who need to recognize what’s really hood. Here’s the scoop:

At the Hip Hop Inaugural Ball, Ashanti was being quite “Hollywood” and “didn’t feel like posing for pictures” while in her VIP area. Not even for the sponsors of the event. And even frowned up and shooed people away. I find it odd–though–that as soon as the “other” type of Hollywood media asked for pics of her, she quickly obliged. I’m not saying Ashanti–but I’m just saying. Funny that I didn’t know who it was she was so enthralled in her couch convo with until I saw the foolywang black and white fur coat on one person and way too small “cocktail” dress on the other. It became apparent it was Momager and sister Shi Shi. SMDH. No Nelly in site either. So people just don’t recognize who’s really the ones keeping their names in the media…

We hear that Beyonce was upset that she couldn’t get to her hubby’s concert rehearsal Monday afternoon because all of the streets around the venue were cut off. She reportedly pitched a fit because she didn’t want to trek the 4 blocks in her stilettos in the extreme cold. the cops didn’t care who she was and weren’t budging. So her security turned around, took her and Jay-Z back tot heir hotel at the Mandarin Oriental, just for her to change into some more walk-worthy shoes. Gotta love it.

Bow Wow was in his VIP area chillin’ with is mom and 20 security guards. Yes–I said 20. And his security thought they were secret service trying to body people who weren’t even coming over there to see Bow Wow. Mainly because we literally couldn’t see him–until he stood on top of his table to keep the party going. After receiving an award that night for doing fabulous things for and with his fans throughout the election season, and him giving an acceptance speech saying he’s trying to change the face of hip hop, he told all fans to stay away and he “wasn’t doing pictures tonight”. Really Bow Weezy? I’m not saying, but I’m just saying…

Bill Bellamy and his wife kicked it in the audience of the HSAN Awards show. You would think he would want all the publicity he could get, but instead he turned down people saying he already gave out a pic or two on the red carpet. *blank stare* Ok Billy.

Mashonda CONFIRMS Alicia Keys Cheated With Her Man!

Well well well. Once again TheYBF.com has been validated that we do not make up ish around these parts. Mashonda hit up my girl Angela Yee’s Lip Service radio show on Shade 45 Monday night. And she gave up the goods–well the bads–that went down with her and Swizzy’s divorce. And yes, she confirms it was because of Alicia Keys‘ homewrecking:

Damn–not the hotel receipts though. For months we’ve been dishing exclusive details about Mashonda and Swizz Beatz’s marital woes. We reported that Alicia Keys was indeed the woman behind the cheating and homewrecking of the couple. We were called liars but unfortunately, it’s been deemed as true. From Paris trips to sneaking around together to Swizzy accompanying Alicia on tour–and her demanding NO CAMERAS in their presence–Mashonda has just dished the truth. Womp! Sucky situation for Mashonda…

Happy MLK Day and National Day of Service. Check out what Prez-Elect and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama and the kids did today. Click here for the video. They visited a D.C. High School (Coolidge), and an emergency homeless shelter, and a few other places. Such a historic week. And by the way, I’m retiring the word “historic” after Tuesday. Maybe it’s just me but if I hear it for the millionth time I’ll scream. Let’s break out a thesaurus.

Regular posting schedule will return on Wednesday as YBF is out and about all Inauguration season hitting up events and getting celeb juice for you. It’s coming. Other than that…it’s time to celebrate….
