Fujitsu launched its 2.2 pound LifeBook P1620 on Friday and Lenovo's 13.3", 2.5 pound X300 was also leaked to the web.

Toshiba is now throwing its weight behind the idea of lightweight notebooks with a 3G update to its Portégé R500 notebook. Toshiba also claims that its R500 is the thinnest and lightest notebook on the market: it is just 25.5mm thick and weighs only 1.7 pounds.

The addition of HSDPA support makes the R500 a worthwhile companion to any mobile warrior. The notebook is available in two versions: The R500-11J and the R500-11I.

Both notebooks feature a 1.2Ghz Intel ULV Core 2 Duo U7600 processor, Intel 945GMS Express chipset, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, 12.1" (1280x800) LED-backlit display, 2GB of DDR2 memory, GbE, 802.11a/g/n, and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR.

The two differ in storage options and weight. The 1.7 pound R500-11J comes equipped with a 64GB solid-state disk (SSD) and no optical drive. The 2.2 pound R500-11I uses a traditional 120GB, 5400 RPM HDD and an ultra-slim Super-Multi DVD burner.

Those willing to take a look at the Portégé R500 Series will have to fork over some big bucks if they decide to take the plunge. The R500-11I will retail for an estimated $3,000 USD. Stepping up to the R500-11J with the 64GB SSD will boost the price to $3,658 USD.

Source from DailyTech

Lenovo X300 13.3" Notebook "Leaks" Onto Web

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjA1dhUAoKHvrhl4rmSmzUHPEQXH2lHxaRSls4WvvXxHe-vPv_0d7IOd3RD5OYiBOyaZu-WOMplXyx0NRfM2rytxD3LhHB8sC_tfbs4kAcBROknR6ExBetV40flWGtoIGQ4rWfYf5Vk988n/s320/lenovox300.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5166456112778016434" />

Lenovo readies an ultra-light notebook of its own

It seems quite convenient that just days after the launch of the MacBook Air that a new lightweight notebook from Lenovo finds itself leaked onto the web. We're not ones to sweep such items under the rug, so here's the skinny on Lenovo's latest and greatest.

According to Gizmodo, the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 uses a Merom-based 2.0GHz "Dual Core Hybrid LV" processor with a 12W thermal envelope. The hybrid nature of the processor could mean that it is related to the special processor that Apple worked with Intel to develop for the MacBook Air.

The ThinkPad X300 features a 13.3", 1440x900 LED backlit display, two DIMM slots for a maximum of 4GB of DDR2 memory, fingerprint reader, touchpad and trackpoint inputs, webcam, and a full-size keyboard.

When it comes to connectivity, Lenovo throws in everything but the kitchen sink. Physical connections include three USB 2.0 ports, three internal PCI-E slots and GbE. Lenovo covers the entire wireless spectrum with Bluetooth, 802.11n, Verizon EV-DO Rev A, Cingular HSDPA and WiMAX options.

Surprisingly, Lenovo lists just one internal storage option for the ThinkPad X300: a 64GB solid state disk (SSD). There is no mention of a HDD, but surely there will be one available, otherwise the X300 will start off as an extremely expensive notebook. For those looking for optical storage, Lenovo hasn't forgotten about you and they do in fact include a DVD burner onboard.

Most importantly, Lenovo managed to pack all of these features into a 12.5" x 9" x 0.73" - 0.92" frame that weighs 2.5 pounds. The 2.5 pound weight is likely calculated with a 3-cell battery. Lenovo lists an upper limit of 3.17 pounds which probably takes into account a 6-cell or 9-cell battery.

We don't have any information with regards to pricing or availability, but stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

Source from DailyTech

Apple Launches New Mac Pro, Xserve Ahead of Schedule

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK-YQ7hmWUSJOqMPdaqyGLAgTRX1RAIvFVsZ05vUhEXPxPsDggS1R9Rp6TTxck0v2PQFq4npMQI1mg_DqJN9ZAIavXSViJ_RIHL1wGH7WkvacNRDOxc-v-THS9mn8hFHLPBMgUtePF0KTz/s320/macpro_hero.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156440858437488770" />

New Mac Pro, Xserve employ eight cores to beef up performance

Choosing not to wait until its own Macworld event next week, Apple today introduced during the middle of CES the new Mac Pro with two of Intel’s new 45 nanometer quad-core Xeon processors and a new system architecture that the company boasts is twice the performance of its predecessor.

“The new Mac Pro is the fastest Mac we’ve ever made,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “With 3.2 GHz 8-core Xeon processing, a 1600 MHz front side bus and 800 MHz memory, the new Mac Pro uses the fastest Intel Xeon architecture on the market.”

On the graphics side, the new Mac Pro comes equipped standard with the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT with 256MB of video memory. Those opting for other graphic options can upgrade using the Mac Pro’s standard PCI Express 2.0 graphics slot. Apple said that it would offer NVIDIA video cards as options in the near future.

With a starting price at a suggested retail price of $2,799, the Mac Pro isn’t just for any casual yuppie. Apple calls the new Mac Pro its “most expandable Mac ever” with four internal hard drive bays with direct-attach, cable-free installation of four 1TB Serial ATA hard drives and support for two SuperDrives – making it ideal for film and video editing applications.

For $2,799, the user will get two 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors, 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD and a SuperDrive. The price quickly increases with upgrades to 3.0 or 3.2 GHz processors, more RAM, additional hard drives, RAID cards, SuperDrives and NVIDIA graphics.

Along with the new Mac Pro, Apple also announced the new Xserve, a similarly equipped 1U rack-optimized server also with two quad-core Intel Xeon processors. The 3.0 GHz model is priced at $2,999.

“With the latest Intel processors and no client access licenses, Xserve offers unbeatable server performance and value for under $3,000,” said Schiller. “Xserve’s power, storage and Leopard Server make it ideal for supporting Mac clients and mixed platform workgroups.”

Source From DailyTech

Upcoming Samsung HDTVs to Feature Built-in Games

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHw-dytrl1YJIrVow2b1z9jttkwFmewLtrNPoWIav8kBvFZwNzSkD_g4LTfCPcF7IVo_QAPe7e-75C7iKLWTppmaTGwJQtFgtJiURR0vX5UKN_ljKKdPJrnJu9_FsD66QwDFFYUOlIo7xX/s320/Samsungseries7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156440205602459762" />

Samsung LCD TVs to run simple programs such as Sudoku

Samsung introduced at CES 2008 its new line of Series 6 and Series 7 LCD high-definition televisions. Other programs potentially preloaded on the TV include artwork (for use as a digital picture frame), screensavers, fitness programs and recipes.

"If you think about the TV experience, it has historically been a lean-back experience," Baxter said, contrasting it to the "lean forward" experience of the PC. "We think there are opportunities to bring very relevant parts of that experience into the living room."

Users will also be able to add new programs and artwork by transferring them from the PC to a flash drive, which can interface with the set’s USB slot.

Furthermore, the TV’s Ethernet port can also pave the way for more content options, including news, weather, sports and stocks information supplied by USA Today in a picture-in-picture window.

Samsung’s Series 6 LCD HDTVs will be available starting this March, with the Series 7 hitting in May.

Source From DailyTech

Toshiba Soldiers On With HD DVD-R/RW Notebook

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM_e1AcdQJ10lBxdW1kUBBiVjzYw7PsVK1wJa03wEYCVvOa-zZh9X4yP3G83fEINSJqMO4XC4Hd2OaeV3Dr_Mv5VgRH5oyc6DREJpKJx2VRb-d1F122fHExbGsKjnV_RKxv6vtHt3URIBk/s320/ToshibaqosmioG45_300-01.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156439647256711266" />

Despite the recent string of bad news, Toshiba introduces new HD DVD-based products

Toshiba recently suffered a crippling blow by the hands of Warner Bros. The film studio announced on Friday that it would phase out the introduction of new HD DVD titles in May 2008 and instead will focus on standard definition DVDs and Blu-ray titles.

While the news was enough to make Toshiba and the HD DVD Group to cancel a CES press conference and 1:1 meetings with reporters, it hasn't stopped the introduction of the company's latest HD DVD-equipped notebook computer.

The new Qosmio G45-AV690 was announced today as the world’s first notebook with an HD DVD-R/RW drive.

“The Qosmio continues to lead the computer industry in terms of high-definition capabilities by bringing many of the most advanced technologies together into a solid and cohesive machine,” said Toshiba's Jeff Barney. “In a digital world that is driven by power cloaked in simplicity, the Qosmio G45-AV690 is the central hub of a user’s personal Digital Ecosystem, providing users with the ability to enjoy their HD content, while expressing themselves more fully in a digital world, and using HD DVD as a personal means of doing so.”

In addition to the headlining HD DVD-R/RW drive, the Qosmio G45-AV690 features an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT GPU, 3GB of DDR2 memory, a 320GB HDD, 17" 1080p display, 5.1 surround sound, HDMI output, an OpenCable (OCUR) HDTV tuner and four Harman Kardon stereo speakers with an integrated subwoofer.

The Qosmio G45-AV690 is available now with at a price tag of $3,199 USD.

Source From DailyTech

Dell Slips Crystal Display Specifications

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAy3a_gJGCmyhn68R19nRVHDJiNXWh17KpQeqfUly762MiUxB2mbnele_JSYMXF77AjjCOS5ILAvFc5MRHo2Wh-IdiwnVo1TfIWCoJGq6GNABjFR2dc3PiIR4VjL3jT3KiQDeG_fa0pJcw/s320/dellcrystaldisplay-2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156438972946845778" />

Dell pulls specifications and photos of upcoming Crystal display from its site

Dell is well known for a few things, one is as being one of the largest computer and accessory makers on the planet. The other thing Dell is widely known for is atrocious embargo leaks.

HotHardware snagged specs and images from the Dell Crystal website before the page and press release were pulled from the Dell site. That would likely mean some wayward Dell PR schlep posted the information on the display ahead of its expected release at CES 2008 starting next week.

The specifications show that the very attractive display is a 22-inch screen with 1680x1050 resolution. The display boasts TrueColor Technology with a 98% color gamut and a 2ms typical gray to gray response time.

Dell claims a 2000:1 contrast ratio and the display has several connectivity options with DVI, HDMI, subwoofer to and a USB connector. A DisplayPort connector such as the one Dell put on its recently announced 30-inch 3008 WFP display is lacking from the Crystal display. A two megapixel webcam with microphone is built-in as well.

The displays surround is made from 4mm thick tempered glass and it holds a quartet of speakers. When looked at from the front, the Dell Crystal display appears to be made entirely of glass. The effect isn’t as attractive when you see the display from the side and can tell it’s merely a standard display with a glass surround holding the speakers. The price is a whopping $1,199 and availability is unknown at this time.

Source From DailyTech

Lenovo Launches IdeaPad Notebooks for Consumers

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkh_gLDAI3pJwGM6NNMy2kZat0um7_wXobHXsKoIEnTqyBXZWgax3Db5iXiEWE_gp_3eWYqGsb5iZYRiGF2wzvOvju0RDdeJPTFajb9s8PLTaReXszLvjOvkRpNIM01zUo5eN3pG_E9Ei3/s320/Lenovoideapad17.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156438431780966466" />

Lenovo slots in a new family of notebooks below the venerable ThinkPad line

Yesterday, DailyTech reported that notebooks outsold desktops for the first time in the consumer market during 2007. Lenovo is taking that news to heart and has launched three new notebooks aimed at the heart of the consumer market.

The new IdeaPad notebooks are available in three models: the U110, the Y510 and the Y710. All three IdeaPad notebooks feature Centrino technology, frameless display screens, touch-sensitive control surfaces, facial recognition technology, Dolby Home Theatre surround sound and textured LCD lids.

"Our ThinkPad notebooks are well-known around the world as the best engineered computer for business -- for quality, reliability and thoughtful design," said Lenovo Consumer Business Group Senior Vice President Liu Jun. "We’re now bringing Lenovo’s expertise in design and engineering to consumers with our Idea-branded PCs. We are confident we will grow our consumer business by blending innovative technologies like facial recognition with stylish designs to enhance the way people use technology in their personal lives."

The IdeaPad U110 is the smallest member of the family and features an 11.1" widescreen display screen backed by a red, aluminum-alloy LCD lid. The notebook weighs just 2.3 pounds and is only 0.7 inches thick. Lenovo will make a solid-state disk (SSD) optional when the notebook launches in March.

The 6.4 lb, 15.4" widescreen Y510 is the middle-child and sports a textured black LCD lid. Lenovo includes a Core 2 Duo T5550 processor, 2GB of memory, a 250GB HDD, DVD+-RW drive and adds four speakers plus a subwoofer with the Y510. The Y510 will be available for purchase on January 6, 2008.

The top-of-the-line 7.9 lb, 17" Y710 features hot-swappable second hard drive bay. Also included is Game Zone functionality which provides larger directional keys for gaming and four user-defined buttons and a secondary display. The Y710 also supports overclocking of the Core 2 Duo T9300 processor and includes an ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600 GPU -- a Blu-ray drive is optional. Like the U110, the Y710 will be available in March.

Pricing begins at $799 USD for the Y510 and $1,199 USD for the Y710. Pricing has not yet been set for the U110.

Source From DailyTech

"Penryn" Notebooks Leak Onto Web Ahead of CES 2008

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxeAC1NfydQkITMj7ZjxvCCnyea6lNmb1THnDCPN7hHfjyjoOdqPTe8RPT-5Wtiq99Y8FeQ4BBpfGM2FKFTQDOQXlqNkxZTh17IKGrIOpuiZ-DI449CZVSRRBpOskUpkvP-UgCx5tIEVhb/s320/acer9920g.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156437886320119858" />

Notebook Italia spills the beans on a slew of new "Penryn" notebooks

Intel's 45nm Penryn-based desktop and server processors were released to an eager audience a few months ago. January 6 is the big day for Intel's Penryn-based notebook processors and it appears that the Santa Clara-based company won't disappoint.

As reported by DailyTech in early December, the Penryn notebooks to be launched in January will consist of the Core 2 Duo T8100, T8300, T9300, T9500 and Core 2 Xtreme X9000. Frequencies for the processor range from 2.1GHz on the T8100 on up to 2.8GHz on the X9000.

Even though Intel's official announcement won't come until January's Consumer Electronics Show (CES), notebook manufacturers are already leaking details for their upcoming Penryn-based notebooks. The NEC display has a screen resolution of 2880 x 900 with a response time of under 0.02 milliseconds. The NTSC color gamut the display is capable of is 170% and the dynamic range is 12-bit. In all the display can reproduce 68.7 billion colors.
NEC spokeswomen emphasized that the Alienware prototype and the NEC CRVD-42DWX+ "have nothing to do with each other."

While NEC claims the two displays share no common manufacturer, both displays are built with the same bezel and housing. Both displays use two LED-backlit DLP images to "stitch" the 2880 pixel-wide image across the curved display as well. The likelihood that these two displays are not made in the same place would be an unusually odd coincidence.

The display has a typical brightness of 350 nits with a contrast ratio greater than 10,000:1. The screen has an aspect ratio of 3.2:1 and weighs 25 pounds without a stand. The overall dimensions of the screen are 40.4-inches wide x 12.6-inches high.

NEC declined to comment on pricing or availability of the display at this time. However, given the high-markup nature of Alienware proprietary technology, NEC could be sitting on a goldmine if it markets the CRVD-42DWX+ just right.

Source From DailyTech

Flight Simulator Game Chair

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLM0zXzIu_mSYOiZJ8h3qv4N748YIgtMInsM_bWNMw9yq5xapj20i1vcPzqdwnYeejvUc-ayLQPyd0wIMfScL8-wJF7F_WvF-8zkhtVImpMiK7ow5C7TUmANLDeYkvUFYpiIDndib_aUkD/s320/simulator-chair-gadget.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146783826335895570" />

Hardcore flight simulation games fans know that it will be no fun without special designed joystick, which resembles a real plane controls. Of course, it cannot replace usual windows, but now you will be able to create a nice and cozy room even when there are no real windows in it.

Toshiba Touts Laptops with Rewritable HD DVD Drives

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyi9S0eMQXxkvGzJdU01CWJrFu1P10tM53k1dtZj5a49IvGIGmNvhLXLb4VPDgOjJHlhW61PGJiDMZg6Hjh2MjhcgOziunwm7DWbtwYitvpW9A7SoJa9HnygJGZ2cj6bJKDVNlPNelGU5Y/s320/toshibaqosmiog40.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146780828448722914" />

Toshiba ships best notebooks computers featuring rewritable HD DVD drive

Consumers have been healthy to have notebook computers for a piece today with home Blu-ray drives which could too pen to clean Blu-ray disks. Notebooks were too free that would make movies on interior HD DVD drives. Information Week reports that Toshiba will get dealing in Japan this week the best notebook calculator which integrates a rewriteable HD DVD visual driving. A couple of Toshiba notebooks in the Qosmio Series 2 home will admit these HD DVD rewritable drives. One example will be free with a 17-inch cover featuring a 1920 x 1200 cover answer and one with a 15. 4-inch cover using a 1280 x 800 solution.

Those specifications should mean that the 17-inch notebook would be able to output full 1080p movies from HD DVD discs and the 15.4-inch version will be able to show 720p HD content. Both of these systems are far from what would be considered easily portable.

The Qosmio G40/97E 17-inch screen version is reported to weigh 10.6 pounds while the Qosmio F40/88EBL 15.4-inch version weighs 7.7 pounds. Information Week surmises from the size and heft of the machines they are intended to replace a separate computer and TV in cramped apartments in Japan.

Toshiba also says that both the notebooks will be capable of viewing one show while recording another thanks to dual TV tuners. The HD DVD drives themselves will be able to write to HD DVD recordable media as well as writing to normal DVD media with support for HD Rec extension.

The 15.4-inch Qosmio will retail for around $2,600 USD and the 17-inch version will retail for around $3,500 USD.

The HD DVD rewritable drives used in these Toshiba notebooks shouldn’t be confused with the HD DVD drives used in older Toshiba notebooks like the Satellite X205-SLI1 that would play HD DVD movies and write to standard DVD media only. Rewritable Blu-ray drives have been available for a while now on systems like the Dell XPS m1530.

Timberland HT2 Watch

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEia47duIbeXhKbFGywGRTd1BwImw57VOmMxFfoYv3h_Kvel3UGvSeXo6CMFQFN9-02az6_YrS8F3T4jsj-BgOBddPubBqridG_dz6ckB9q6POTSdmtt6ZXcddWSOHrGSckqgvD-D-QyjNrL/s320/timberland_ht2_watch.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146780364592254930" />

Here’s a lookout searching like it’s meant for great responsibility exterior process; Timberland HT2. It features a soft blue backlight, which does not harm eyes when in the dark. A compact laptop design makes it small and easy to place anywhere on the table; in addition, brushed aluminum chassis looks extremely cool.

It is interesting how the desktop keyboard began to look smaller and smaller, sometimes making the typing uncomfortable. However, this is not that case, the typing is fast and easy.

Do not worry anymore about typing in the dark, now it will be more comfortable than ever. Moreover, you will not disturb anyone with bright light. It is a question for us though, why laptops are not usually equipped with such backlit keyboards; this simple addition will hugely help when you are sitting with your laptop all night long. This interesting keyboard can be purchased for only 70 dollars.

Source

LCD Armrest Monitor with Built in DVD Player

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVO37cwzgeLbjNVpaVWW18COi50pi6zSYzVUrzRLrXukTi0NgfqhzEXdeIKiKOhXDFt57ZEGcV0DsxJtD3MO-f7Ez_vob_2M8-yv3EYNMGg7bbu5RqjP60HR6bs2M-dsrNaAkC9FDbUGEc/s320/LCDarmrestgadget.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5137745565295330130" />

For those who wake up and fall asleep in front of their computer monitor, Chinese engineers are proud to present an astonishing gadget - the 7 inch arm resting monitor with a built in DVD player and a speaker.

This unbelievable gadget is convenient for long distance trips. Which one to choose? I know just one very original model of weather station which can be both a cool gift and pretty object of interior. It attracts with its simplicity and nice creator's idea. A girl on the display dresses or undresses depending on the weather outside. She shows you visually what you should wear. Imagine only: she wears bikini when it is hot outside and puts on some clothes when it is cold.

Every man would like to have such weather station at home or at work. But I am afraid men won't get it from their women.

The creators should have thought about this fact. This gadget would be bought by girls for their boyfriends if there was a possibility to put in their photo instead of the girl's face. It seems to me that would be really nice.

In that case this station can become an irreplaceable gadget at work. Photo frames? Not actual anymore. This nice weather station with stripping girlfriend would be much more desirable. Nice idea, huh?

The gadget displays all the necessary things such as temperature, humidity, precipitations. But the girl will explain you in terms of her example what clothes you cshould wear.

The gadget has already won a lot of customers' attention. I guess you should consider for a moment why. At first, it is really original gift for anybody. It is a nice souvenir and remembrancer and at the same time the gift that makes smile. It is very popular among teenagers and young people. They are accustomed to the phone text input method and can write messages up to 150 symbols per minute! If you are a person who prefers to write an SMS instead of talking, and you do it often, then take look at this interesting gadget.

This keyboard, called cre8txt was designed specially for SMS users. It has a familiar button set, just as the average mobile phone, so it will feels just as if you are typing an SMS. It is also bundled with predictive text input software – widely known T9 will help write long texts with ease.

In addition, it can translate SMS slang, which is a way to save space on the restricted 160 character per message, to normal English! So no misunderstanding now even when you are talking to your parents.

Additional buttons with Copy, Cut and Paste functions, Alt+Tab, Shift and Enter will aid in controlling your computer, and with a long USB cord it can be used as a remote controller. Wired, which is not good, but if the cord is long enough to reach your bed or chair, who cares? Be careful not to catch it when moving though.

It is an interesting product, but we doubt it will be more comfortable than a normal keyboard. Moreover, thinking of its price, which is not small – 105 dollars (way too pricy even for a wired remote controller), we advise you to learn to type on normal QWERTY keyboard rather than throw your money on this SMS inspired gadget.

Source

Wireless Video Glasses Stunners with Built-in Media Player and Divx Support

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyH-drNacbIXX6Bzv9rldd35eDnF5rAfvNT4r5IGVsWQx5T7LYoEALaUqE8kNiOTexYI5bnlPc9b-emAA6nWlAspSs7zuCVthIgEk5yNej-9lBtpgpDbtwNdaiN-MwlpRT1iu-CKi9TxeB/s320/qingbargp300.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5136817006250836770" />

YelloMosquito is proud to introduce the Qingbar Gp300 - the
world's first wireless LCOS video glasses stunners with built-in media
player and Divx support.

This state-of-the-art device combined with LCOS display and media
player, allows you to enjoy a big cinema screen experience through a
pair of sleek and funky video glasses with hi-fi audio through high
quality earphones in one tiny device eliminating the distraction of
wires. One of the other problems is that notebooks tend to lack the USB ports important to users with lots of gadgets and peripherals.

Logitech has a new item called the AudioHub that aims to remedy both of these common notebook shortcomings. The AudioHub is a 2.1 speaker system designed to sit behind your notebook. The two satellite speakers are width adjustable allowing you to position them to the sides of your notebook rather than having them behind the computer where some of the sound is blocked.

In addition to having movable satellite speakers, a built-in subwoofer offers improved levels of bass and the speakers use a three-chamber design. A three port Hi-speed USB hub is built into the AudioHub as well to provide more connectivity options for USB devices. One single USB connection from the AudioHub to your PC powers the speakers as well as the USB hub.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5d-6O7o4WcVxfw5qhde_nSYIRvnGNLG0DG045uCl4FiSQ_O_0DDQxkdBxMwdiy_2x4jymaimU2Y2gSHh5z0ttJymJ8U0HrIdjshytJ3L-732jZ-ydCNIH-bY_tyT4UCrW5Xs-DGiQdRFS/s320/logitechaudiohubt2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5136805521508287250" />

The AudioHub is slightly more than 3.5-inches tall and has a pair of 2-inch tweeters and one 3-inch woofer. Another nice feature is a built-in web cam stand that extends from the top of the AudioHub. The USB hub is powered via an included AC adapter, allowing the use of high-power USB devices. A pair of USB cables is included with one 2-foot cable and one 4-foot extension. The AudioHub is compatible with Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, and Vista as well as Mac OS X and higher. Logitech covers the device with a 2-year warranty and the device carries an MSRP of $99.99 with availability in October, 2007.

Source

Logitech Announces Bluetooth Cordless MediaBoard Pro

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB2xQ9HfJecs497pkEc8XGvVF7v9ovRVNcyQ2zTjM6zB74CCgkF2tL1x1GGhoSdoTdKFUR0l47NA7_WvPgj_724ubErjDf4RoscvmBqI5lU04UQM9CHB9z8fQmLMgGElhdvXlVq4Qc8A1e/s320/cordlessmediaboardpro.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5136074409229118882" />

Logitech announced an updated version of their Cordless MediaBoard for PS3 called the Cordless MediaBoard Pro today. The original MediaBoard used a matte silver finish, which did nothing to go along with the looks of the PS3.

With the updated Cordless MediaBoard Pro, Logitech uses a glossy black chassis for the keyboard that looks like it came with the PS3. The main difference between the new MediaBoard Pro and the old MediaBoard is in the connection of the keyboard to the PS3. The original MediaBoard uses a USB transceiver plugged into one of the PS3’s front USB ports.

The new Cordless MediaBoard Pro uses Bluetooth connectivity just like the Sony Sixaxis controllers so no USB adapter is required. If you are using your PS3 for media playback, you will be glad to hear that the MediaBoard Pro has a 10-meter wireless range.
