Their full name is 'rectus abdominis'. The 'rectus' bit, is Latin for 'straight, proper, upright'. Contrary to popular opinion, the abs primary job is not to curl you up into a ball, but they work together with the back muscles to maintain correct posture and stabilize the spine. Therefor training your abs without training your back will create an imbalance in the musculature that supports your spine. These muscles are not just for show! So the best exercises for abs are ones that force your entire core to go into overdrive to support your spine. Some exercises that do this are squats and deadlifts. These exercises will train your entire core to work together to do what it is designed to do. At the same time they will also train a lot of other muscles (eg glutes and quads), and this promotes even more rapid fat loss as the body recovers.

Do Crunches: Lie on the floor (with or without a mat) your arms in front of your chest. Bend your knees up as far as they go. Do not place both hands behind your head. Placing both hands behind your head can cause lower back problems in the long run as it places unnecessary stress on that part of your body from pulling on your head and neck. Another alternative is to cross your arms in front of your chest and lightly place your finger tips behind your ears, without pulling on your neck. Now raise your shoulders (upper torso) towards your knees, using strictly your abdominal muscles. It is very important not to lift your entire back off the floor, as this can cause back strain, and the extended movement does not help you develop six pack abs any faster. The most important part of the crunch is the initial flexing of your abs as you lift your shoulders off the floor. As soon as you begin lifting off the floor exhale through your mouth, ending with a gasp once your shoulders are off the floor. Then pause for a second once you are at the top of the crunch and exhale the last bit of air from your diaphragm while flexing your abs. The proper breathing and flexing make all the difference. Now lower back down slowly and controlled while inhaling through your nose, just until your shoulder blades touch the ground. Do not let your head touch the ground and repeat.

Do Situps:
on the floor (with or without a mat) your arms in front of your chest. Lift your legs straight up (not bending your knees at all) until they're at a 90 degree angle (or close). Lower your legs and repeat without letting your legs touch the floor. For more challenge there is equipment at most gyms that will allow you to raise yourself up using your arms as support and dangle your legs. You can perform leg lifts there too. If you're using this piece of equipment, you can make it easier by just raising your knees to your chest. It's more difficult to raise your legs to a horizontal position with your legs straight. This helps firm up the lower abdomen. If you're truly a monster, try doing leg lifts with a medicine ball hanging from your feet. Or hang from a pull up bar and raise your legs in front of you all the way up to the bar.

Do Jackknife:
Lie down flat on the floor. Place your hands on the ground to your sides for balance; you can pick them up as you get used to the movement. Simultaneously raise your knees and torso so that your knees and face meet on an imaginary line extending from your pelvis to the ceiling. You should be able to kiss your knees at the top of the motion. Your legs will naturally fold bringing your feet towards your hips, much like a jackknife. Lie back down (i.e. "spread out") and repeat. Place a weight between your feet when you think you can handle it.

Most frequently asked question: Have you actually gotten paid by any of these companies? The answer to that is a definite yes, I make approximately minimum wage by taking surveys and I've received payment from four seperate companies thus far.

I'll stick a banner to my favorite way to make money online below, I've gotten the highest average payment per survey from them and they have the lowest pay out. I've averaged $2.5 per survey, which takes me about 20 minutes each and you will make money upon reaching $5, all money carries over each month that you do not meet the threshold.

The purpose of this website is to show you how to utilize your computer, Internet connection and unique skills and attributes to make money online. This is your trusted source for making money online information. This site will not claim to make you rich quickly online, and it will not take the place of a standard career unless you get quite lucky, but if you are a college kid like me, a stay at home mother, a teenager that doesn't want to work at a fast food chain, or just an individual that wants to make a little bit of cash on the side, this is the place to get your information on making money online.

There are many different ways that you can make money from the comfort of home, I will never be able to list all of them but I will show you which methods which I find to be the easiest.

These programs offer on-the-job experience that could lead to a full-time career with the government after graduation. Industry and government utilize student programs to identify prospects for future hiring. An average of 63,000 students are employed each year in federal government.

The Student Educational Employment Program consolidated the Cooperative Education, Stay-in-School, Federal Junior Fellowship, and Summer Aid programs to combine key features of the old programs along with added functions to improve and streamline operations. This program consolidated 13 student hiring authorities into one program consisting of two components.

Students interested in the Temporary Employment Program or the Career Experience Program can find out about job opportunities through their school guidance office, teachers, or federal agency employment office where they are interested in working.

You can also visit the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM's) student web site listed on our resources page to review the entire program, post your résumé, and search for job vacancies. You will also find links to Uncle Sam's new e-SCHOLAR web site that lists many agency student recruiting initiatives and outlines available programs.

Today it is the fastest growing market in the world. Private operators have made mobile telephony the fastest growing (over 164% p.a.) in India. With more than 33 million users (both CDMA and GSM), wireless is the principal growth engine of the Indian telecom industry.

Intense competition between the four main private groups - Bharti, Hutch, Tata and Reliance and with the State sector incumbents-BSNL and MTNL has brought about a significant drop in tariffs. The Government has played a key enabling role by deregulating and liberalising the industry, ushering in competition and paving the way for growth. "On July 16, 1969, Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Mike Collins departed for the Moon. Four days later, Armstrong and Aldrin landed their Lunar Module in the Moon's Sea of Tranquility.

Never before had a single event been anticipated by so many people - reportedly 600 million transfixed viewers. The Radiotelescope at Parkes in rural NSW was the most powerful receiving dish in the Southern Hemisphere and the only one to handle TV’s broadband requirements. NASA had intended to use 'The Dish' as a 'back up' to its prime receiver at Goldstone, California. Due to a last minute change in the Apollo 11 flight schedule, the Parkes Radiotelescope became the only hope in conveying man's first steps on the Moon and those words 'Houston, the Eagle has landed'.

Armstrong and Aldrin landed their Lunar Module in the moon's Sea of Tranquility. Armstrong, and then Aldrin, stepped onto the surface and became the first humans to leave their footprints in the lunar dust. The transmission had to overcome problems such as power outages and a freak wind storm."

This had become a norm and as a result people lived with a conception that government jobs are better than working for the private sector. However, in the recent years with the private sector playing a major role in a country’s economy and offering better job opportunities and benefits, it is found that people are willing to and happy to apply for job vacancies in the private sector.

However, one would still wonder, why is it that most people willingly choose to get a government job over a position in the private sector? One of the main reasons for wanting to work for the government would be job stability. Government jobs are known to provide job security and stability while allowing one to work for a greater cause that is more or less directly affective in the country their residing in.

There are also a variety of jobs and areas to choose from, hence once you’ve established yourself in a government job, you’re able to find a job which requires different skill sets.Due to the demand of better skilled, experienced and knowledgeable individuals and the fact that most private sectors are offering better salaries, government sectors have significantly revised their salary scales to match with the current market value for each job role so that they are able to find the correct and best suited candidate from the selection pool. So, no longer does one have to worry about poor or lesser pay in a government job.One of the main plus points of choosing a government job is the opportunity to be eligible for retirement funds.

This is one major fact which needs to be considered when applying for a government job or leaving one for that matter as this is the only type of job where you will be given retirement funds for the rest of your life, after retirement and will generally be revised based on country’s economic status. Another important fact is that most government jobs, if not all, offer to pay the employees higher education fees if the qualification or education gained by the employee adds value to the job role that they are doing. However, this depends on their job role and the kind of contract the employees are under, which needs to be carefully understood beforehand.

In order that your body be able to use proteins for body building, these must always be eaten in conjunction with carbohydrates and fats, that is, with adequate energy giving foods and nutrients. The body building food could be from two sources - plant and vegetable foods and animal foods. They are pulse, lentil, and legume; nut and oilseed; milk and milk products; meat, poultry and seafood (which contribute significantly to fats). Dried pulses are rich in proteins (containing about 19 to 24 percent).

Puffed pulses that are consumed as snacks are also very healthy. Nuts and oilseeds (except coconut) contain about 18 to 40 percent proteins. Soybean is high in protein about 40%. They are used as milk substitutes that can be fed to infants. Milk is among the most wholesome of foods though it does not remedy deficiencies of iron and vitamins C and D. One litre of cow's milk provides about 35 gm of protein and 35 gm of fat (buffalo's milk has twice the amount of fat than does cow's milk). Meat, poultry and seafood are high protein foods. Both Meat and Fish contain 18-22 percent proteins. Egg white contains 12 percent protein, egg yolk contains 15 percent protein. Liver contains 18-20 percent protein.

Energy Givers:Carbohydrates and fats are energy giving nutrients. Proteins also give you energy. Other energy giving foods are cereals, sugars, roots and tubers, fats and oils, and alcohol. Cereals are the staple foods of a large majority of the population of the world and they provide 70 to 80 percent of the energy. Sugars are simple and pure carbohydrates that serve mainly as a source of concentrated energy. In industrialised countries sugar has become an important source of energy.

Roots and tubers in general are good sources of carbohydrates alone and form the staple food in some countries. They can be used as partial substitutes for cereals. They do not provide the proteins that cereals do. Fats and oils provide double the quantity of energy when compared to carbohydrates. Alcohol provides greater energy per gram than do carbohydrates, but it has to be used with caution and in limited quantities.

"With so many telecom service providers and a growing customer base, the need for new numbers and their consequent shortage will be felt soon," a senior telecom official, who did not want to be identified, told reporters on Saturday.

India has reportedly added 10.81 million mobile subscribers in December 2008. "The TEC (Telecom Engineering Centre, DoT's technical arm) has recommended the new numbering plan that has been forwarded to the government for the final decision," the official said. The telecom department had come up with a 30-year numbering plan in 2003 but the fast growth in the telecom subscriber base has forced the authority to relook into its policy and consider 11-digit numbering system.

"The infrastructure is ready and this should be implemented within two years," the official said. Telecom operators said the new policy would not cause any technical problems. "With such a robust growth, we would require new (number) series very soon. There would be no technical issues as such but the customers may have to face some problems initially," Aircel chief operating officer Gurdeep Singh told IANS.

Every telecom operator is allocated a series of mobile numbers on requirement basis - for six months or a year depending on the customer base it has. "The change, however, will be in the software only and it will not take more than a month to upgrade the changes," the telecom official said.

What we see are open gutters and ditches on either side of the road, in front of every house.

Even where there is an underground drainage, we have open storm water drainage which is both, an eyesore and unhygienic. Solid substances, particularly plastics, fall into them causing clogging, resulting in breeding of mosquitoes and house flies spreading all sorts of communicable diseases. To overcome this problem, gutter guards can be constructed, slightly elevated over the two gutter walls. And on those gutter guards you can grow beautiful flowers and plants.

Yet another solution is to have a long stick and fit a metal sheet on one end, virtually making it a scoop to remove any solid substances that fall in, once a week. Ensure that there is no :water stagnation ,sewage stagnation ,clogged drainage ,piles of garbage ,noise pollution ,air pollution ,rearing of pigs ,stock of hazardous waste near and around your house .If the street in your neighbourhood is not clean, you should start Civic Exnora for the street.

The best idea is to motivate every one to start HOME EXNORA YOGA in their respective Homes and everyone (those part of Home Exnora) should meet once a month as Civic Exnora and exchange ideas and share their best practices. They can take ‘Home Exnora’ concepts forward to other Homes, by inviting them to a Home where the action has already started

A book is also a literary work or a main division of such a work. A book produced in electronic format is known as an e-book.In library and information science, a book is called a monograph to distinguish it from serial publications such as magazines, journals or newspapers.Publishers may produce low-cost, pre-proof editions known as galleys or 'bound proofs' for promotional purposes, such as generating reviews in advance of publication. Galleys are usually made as cheaply as possible, since they are not intended for sale.

Magazine: A magazine is a periodical publication containing a variety of articles, generally financed by advertising and/or purchase by readers.Magazines are typically published weekly, biweekly, monthly, bimonthly or quarterly, with a date on the cover that is in advance of the date it is actually published. They are often printed in color on coated paper, and are bound with a soft cover.

Magazines fall into two broad categories: consumer magazines and business magazines. In practice, magazines are a subset of periodicals, distinct from those periodicals produced by scientific, artistic, academic or special interest publishers which are subscription-only, more expensive, narrowly limited in circulation, and often have little or no advertising.Magazines can be classified as:General interest magazines (e.g. Frontline, India Today, The Week, etc).Special interest magazines (women's, sports, business, scuba diving, etc)

Newspaper:A newspaper is a publication containing news and information and advertising, usually printed on low-cost paper called newsprint. It may be general or special interest, most often published daily or weekly. The first printed newspaper was published in 1605, and the form has thrived even in the face of competition from technologies such as radio and television. Recent developments on the Internet are posing major threats to its business model, however. Paid circulation is declining in most countries, and advertising revenue, which makes up the bulk of a newspaper's income, is shifting from print to online; some commentators, nevertheless, point out that historically new media such as radio and television did not entirely supplant existing

You weren’t planning to start a family quite this soon and your home reflects that. The two bedroom one bath bungalow seemed like a perfect starter home for two people, but now it feels too small to include a third. You love this house, so you want to make it work. The lot’s big enough to add on an extra room - the nursery. You can just knock out the back bedroom wall and go from there. Or, maybe you could enlarge the kitchen while you’re at it, tack on a half bath and the nursery. That would be great. But where will you get the money to pay for the renovation?

Every year, many people find themselves in similar situations. To solve their financial dilemma, they turn to their house for support. As you know, when you originally take out a loan (mortgage) to buy a house, what you’re doing is essentially borrowing money against the house. It’s the actual collateral for the loan. It’s possible for you to do that again. But this time, you would be borrowing against the equity you have in the house. In this article we’ll look at what it means to borrow against the equity of your home, what the various types of home equity loans are, and when it may be the right time to get one. Let’s get started by looking at some basics. Knowledge is power. Even if you don't plan on personally managing your individual investments, it pays to know the details about the most common types of investment instruments: stocks, bonds and mutual funds. When you buy stock, you're buying partial ownership in a company.

Stocks are sold as shares, and every shareholder is entitled to a percentage of the company's annual profits called a dividend. But most people don't buy stocks for the dividends. They buy them as long- or short-term investments. The price of a share of stock is constantly changing. Stock prices go up and down based on the value of a company on paper and the perceived value of a company in the eyes of investors. The golden rule for investing in stock is to buy when the price is low and sell when the price is high. This is easier said than done. Unless you have ESP, it's very difficult to predict when a stock has reached its lowest or highest price. The best you can do is invest in companies that you're sure are going to grow.

For example, if Microsoft releases particularly weak sales numbers after Christmas, its stock price will probably go down. But since Microsoft is such a successful company, it's probably safe to assume that the price will rebound quickly and keep growing. This is an opportunity to buy Microsoft stock for a relatively cheap price and sell it later for a profit.Historically, the stock market has grown on an average of between 10 and 12 percent a year. This is why many financial advisors consider stock an excellent long-term investment. The stock market is also attractive for short-term, higher-risk investors. In a more limited sense, however, an art gallery is a private commercial establishment offering works of art for sale. To this end, special exhibitions may be held. Many artists have formal arrangements with galleries that act as their agents or dealers, showing their works and taking a percentage of the selling price.

Some people just can't keep their hands off other people's things -- even the world's greatest art. Art thieves take their loot from museums, places of worship, and private residences. Because they would have trouble selling the fruits of their labor on the open market -- auction houses and galleries tend to avoid stolen works -- art burglars often either keep the art for themselves or try to ransom the hot property back to the original owner. Among the major robberies in the past hundred years are these daring thefts of very expensive art (values estimated at the time of the theft).

Boston, March 1990: $300 million:Two men dressed as police officers visited the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in the wee hours of the morning. After overpowering two guards and grabbing the security system's surveillance tape, they collected Rembrandt's only seascape, Storm on the Sea of Galilee, as well as Vermeer's The Concert, Manet's Chez Tortoni, and several other works. Authorities have yet to find the criminals despite investigating everyone from the Irish Republican Army to a Boston mob boss. Oslo, August 2004: $120 million:Two armed and masked thieves threatened workers at the Munch Museum during a daring daylight theft. They stole a pair of Edvard Munch paintings, The Scream and The Madonna, estimated at a combined value of 100 million euros. In May 2006, authorities convicted three men who received between four and eight years in jail. The paintings were recovered three months later.

Paris, August 1911: $100 million : In the world's most notorious art theft to date, Vincenzo Peruggia, an employee of the Louvre, stole Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa from the storied museum in the heart of Paris. Peruggia simply hid in a closet, grabbed the painting once alone in the room, hid it under his long smock, and walked out of the famed museum after it had closed. The theft turned the moderately popular Mona Lisa into the best-known painting in the world. Police questioned Pablo Picasso and French poet Guillaume Apollinaire about the crime, but they found the real thief -- and the Mona Lisa -- two years later when Peruggia tried to sell it to an art dealer in Florence.

Money laundering is a serious charge -- in 2001, U.S. prosecutors obtained almost 900 money-laundering convictions with an average prison sentence of six years. The rise of global financial markets makes money laundering easier than ever -- countries with bank-secrecy laws are directly connected to countries with bank-reporting laws, making it possible to anonymously deposit "dirty" money in one country and then have it transferred to any other country for use.

Money laundering happens in almost every country in the world, and a single scheme typically involves transferring money through several countries in order to obscure its origins. In this article, we'll learn exactly what money laundering is and why it's necessary, who launders money and how they do it and what steps the authorities are taking to try to foil money-laundering operations. Money Laundering Basics:Money laundering, at its simplest, is the act of making money that comes from Source A look like it comes from Source B.

In practice, criminals are trying to disguise the origins of money obtained through illegal activities so it looks like it was obtained from legal sources. Otherwise, they can't use the money because it would connect them to the criminal activity, and law-enforcement officials would seize it. The most common types of criminals who need to launder money are drug traffickers, embezzlers, corrupt politicians and public officials, mobsters, terrorists and con artists.

Drug traffickers are in serious need of good laundering systems because they deal almost exclusively in cash, which causes all sorts of logistics problems. Not only does cash draw the attention of law-enforcement officials, but it's also really heavy. Cocaine that's worth $1 million on the street weighs about 44 pounds (20 kg), while a stash of U.S. dollars worth $1 million weighs about 256 pounds (116 kg).

In the "destructive" and/or "annoying" category go e-mail attachments that contain: Trojan horses ,Worms,Viruses. In many cases, e-mail viruses are not "true" viruses because they cannot replicate without human interaction. Nonetheless, they have been very effective at shutting down major e-mail systems. See How Computer Viruses Work for details on viruses.

A Trojan horse, aptly named after the seemingly harmless tool of destruction in Homer's Iliad, secretly carries often-damaging software in a "plain wrapper." The plain wrapper is normally an e-mail file attachment from someone you may or may not know. The file attachment name itself can also be very misleading. When you run the attachment, it can do all sorts of things, from erasing files to changing your desktop. It then sends itself along to other people in your address book so that it can propagate itself. Shortly after it appeared on the Internet, hackers modified the Klez virus in a way that made it far more effective.

Like other viruses, it could comb through a victim's address book and send itself to contacts. But it could also take another name from the contact list and place that address in the "From" field in the e-mail client. It's called spoofing -- the e-mail appears to come from one source when it's really coming from somewhere else.Spoofing an e-mail address accomplishes a couple of goals. For one thing, it doesn't do the recipient of the e-mail any good to block the person in the "From" field, since the e-mails are really coming from someone else.

A Klez worm programmed to spam people with multiple e-mails could clog an inbox in short order, because the recipients would be unable to tell what the real source of the problem was. Also, the e-mail's recipient might recognize the name in the "From" field and therefore be more receptive to opening it.

The 802.11 designation comes from the IEEE. The IEEE sets standards for a range of technological protocols, and it uses a numbering system to classify these standards.A wireless network uses radio waves, just like cell phones, televisions and radios do. In fact, communication across a wireless network is a lot like two-way radio communication. Here's what happens: A computer's wireless adapter translates data into a radio signal and transmits it using an antenna.A wireless router receives the signal and decodes it. The router sends the information to the Internet using a physical, wired Ethernet connection. The process also works in reverse, with the router receiving information from the Internet, translating it into a radio signal and sending it to the computer's wireless adapter.

The radios used for WiFi communication are very similar to the radios used for walkie-talkies, cell phones and other devices. They can transmit and receive radio waves, and they can convert 1s and 0s into radio waves and convert the radio waves back into 1s and 0s. But WiFi radios have a few notable differences from other radios: They transmit at frequencies of 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. This frequency is considerably higher than the frequencies used for cell phones, walkie-talkies and televisions. The higher frequency allows the signal to carry more data. They use 802.11 networking standards, which come in several flavors: 802.11a transmits at 5 GHz and can move up to 54 megabits of data per second. It also uses orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM), a more efficient coding technique that splits that radio signal into several sub-signals before they reach a receiver.

This greatly reduces interference.802.11b is the slowest and least expensive standard. For a while, its cost made it popular, but now it's becoming less common as faster standards become less expensive. 802.11b transmits in the 2.4 GHz frequency band of the radio spectrum. It can handle up to 11 megabits of data per second, and it uses complementary code keying (CCK) modulation to improve speeds.802.11g transmits at 2.4 GHz like 802.11b, but it's a lot faster -- it can handle up to 54 megabits of data per second. 802.11g is faster because it uses the same OFDM coding as 802.11a. 802.11n is the newest standard that is widely available.

This standard significantly improves speed and range. For instance, although 802.11g theoretically moves 54 megabits of data per second, it only achieves real-world speeds of about 24 megabits of data per second because of network congestion. 802.11n, however, reportedly can achieve speeds as high as 140 megabits per second. The standard is currently in draft form -- the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) plans to formally ratify 802.11n by the end of 2009. Other 802.11 standards focus on specific applications of wireless networks, like wide area networks (WANs) inside vehicles or technology that lets you move from one wireless network to another seamlessly.WiFi radios can transmit on any of three frequency bands. Or, they can "frequency hop" rapidly between the different bands. Frequency hopping helps reduce interference and lets multiple devices use the same wireless connection simultaneously.

Phone directories and the Internet are filled with advertisements promoting a variety of transport companies and transport brokers. Consumers need to be aware of the difference.

A company handles the actual pickup and delivery of the vehicle. A broker does the legwork and sells the job to one or more transport carriers. There are pros and cons to working with both. Transport companies have more control over delivery time and assume more responsibility in the event of damage or an accident. On the other hand, brokers have access to more options for a quicker delivery.

Consumers should double-check all references to help avoid fraud or an unpleasant experience. Transport companies are quick to stress that they can transport only the customer's vehicle. Customers are not allowed to pack their cars with clothes, small appliances or even spare parts. The fuel tank cannot be completely full, and owners are usually required to be present when the vehicle is picked up or delivered to complete the inspection.

Some car owners have frequent transport needs, so they purchase their own trailer and tow vehicle. These include car collectors or enthusiasts who display their pristine vehicles at car shows or weekend racers who compete at area tracks. Single-car trailers come in many styles and sizes to hold the vehicle, spare parts and tools. Google's main product is a search engine and the company's revenue comes from ad sales. Microsoft's main product is an operating system and other software. Where's the conflict? It turns out there are several points where Microsoft and Google cross paths.

Microsoft has it's own Web search engine called Live Search. According to Web analysis firms like ComScore, Hitwise and Neilsen/Netratings, Google searches accounted for more than 60 percent of all online searches in the spring of 2008. By comparison, Microsoft searches amounted to less than 10 percent of all searches .Google and Microsoft both offer suites of productivity software. Microsoft Office is a popular software suite that includes word processing, database management and spreadsheet applications. These desktop programs tend to be robust and include a lot of features that the average user may not need all that often but professionals regularly rely upon for their work.Google has its own productivity software suite:

Google Docs. Google's productivity software is Web-based, meaning you access the applications through a Web browser. The applications aren't as robust as Microsoft Office. But Google says that many consumers simply want software that's good enough to fulfill basic functions. Since Google Docs is Web-based, consumers can access their applications and data from any computer that has an Internet connection. Not to be outdone, Microsoft has its own online productivity software suite called Office Live Workspace (OLW). Like Google Docs, OLW is a stripped-down version of a full productivity software suite that allows users to access data and collaborate on projects from any Internet-connected computer.

Both Google and Microsoft offer Web-based e-mail platforms. Both companies are investing millions of dollars into cloud computing solutions. And both recognize the growing importance of the Internet for the average consumer. Google may have an advantage over Microsoft because it's a Web-based company; however, Microsoft has decades of experience in application development and consumer research. Unlike some Internet companies, Google has multiple ways of generating revenue beyond private investment or selling shares of its stock. Google uses three methods to partner with merchants and advertisers: Google Checkout, Google AdWords and Google AdSense.

And what awesome materials they are -- they're beautiful, practical, durable, and environmentally responsible.Exciting advances at every budget level are available for today's kitchens, so the sooner you start learning about all of your kichen remodeling options, the better. We'll dissect all of the main kitchen remodeling materials in this article, including:Kitchen Cabinets:Cabinets are the centerpiece of any kitchen redecorating project. In fact, about half of your kitchen remodeling budget will be devoted to the cabinetry.

There are more than 200 cabinetmakers in the United States alone, so your choices seem endless...and confusing. But fear not -- in this section, we'll walk you through the basics of kitchen cabinets so that you can make the smartest choice possible.Kitchen Countertops: A kitchen countertop is another big-ticket item. As with cabinets, there are numerous types of kitchen countertops from which to choose. The primary options include laminate, ceramic tile, wood, marble, and granite. Each material has its advantages and disadvantages -- the trick is to figure out which kind of countertop works best with your particular kitchen. We'll help sort everything out in this section by examining the different kinds of kitchen countertops.Kitchen Lighting: Most people who are remodeling their kitchen don't consider lighting to be a primary consideration.

They should. Visibility is vitally important in an area where you're working with knives and other potentially dangerous cooking tools. In addition, the proper lighting can give your kitchen a warm and homey feeling. In this section, we'll examine the ins and outs of kitchen lighting, from halogen lights to incandescent bulbs. We'll also offer advice on choosing kitchen lighting fixtures.Kitchen Floors: Your kitchen floor gets a lot of abuse, so it's important to choose a material that can stand up to punishment. Of course, you also want a floor that looks nice. The difficult part is finding a surface that combines both of these criteria. Common materials used for kitchen flooring are vinyl, linoleum, laminate, wood, rubber, ceramic tile, quarry and terra-cotta tile, and natural stone tile. We'll weigh the pros and cons of these materials.Kitchen Wall Treatments: The first rule in choosing wall treatments is to coordinate them with your cabinets. Paint is a popular wall treatment because it's relatively inexpensive and easy to clean (which is always a prime consideration with a kitchen). If you want something a little less common, you can go with wallpaper or paneling. Whatever you decide, don't underestimate the importance of wall treatments.

We'll tell you about all your options in this section:Kitchen Windows: Let the sunshine in! The right kitchen window will do just that, providing a bright and cheery place for you to do your cooking. Your window choices range from double-hung to sliders -- we'll tell you about these options and others. The window treatments you pick are equally important. They add character to your windows, and to your kitchen as a whole. Cafe curtains are a popular choice, while matchstick or bamboo shades add a more novel element to your kitchen decor. In this section, we'll show you which wall treatments will work best for you:Kitchen Doors and Hardware: When it comes to kitchens, a door isn't just a door. It not only provides access to your kitchen, but it also offers an opportunity to add another decorative touch. Your options include glazed doors, swinging doors, and sliding doors -- all of which we'll discuss in this section. Kitchen hardware -- such as cabinet knobs and window cranks -- really offer an opportunity to spice up your kitchen. The right hardware can tie together all of the materials in your kitchen. In this section, we'll provide suggestions that will aid you in the tricky task of choosing kitchen hardware.

Short of surgery, there are some other ways to help eliminate and hide wrinkles.

Prevention: Wrinkles are caused by loss of flexibility in the collagen fibers, the mesh-like cells that give skin its form and shape. As we age, the collagen fibers lose their ability to withstand normal facial motions; at the same time, we lose facial fat. The result is wrinkles. If you work to eliminate wrinkles before they form, you have a good chance of staving them off. Don't drink alcohol in excessive amounts; it robs your body of moisture. Don't smoke. Avoid excessive sun, and protect your face with sun-blocking creams and lotions. Restore moisture to your skin by splashing your face with cool water, giving yourself a facial, drinking lots of water and juice, and using plenty of moisturizers.

Exercise: If you already have wrinkles, you can take steps to hide and eliminate wrinkles. Exercise at least once a day to firm your skin and muscles; thoroughly moisturize your face and neck before you exercise. To correct a droopy chin, a weak jaw, or a wrinkled neck, place the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth as far back as it will go; your chin, jaw, throat, and neck will tighten automatically. Repeat several times. To firm your chin, neck, and throat, stretch your chin up high and thrust it forward, hard; at the same time, pull your head back as far as you can. Repeat this forward and backward motion several times. For a firming exercise you can do anywhere, turn your head to the left, touch your chin to your shoulder, turn your head back to center, and repeat the process to the right. Repeat several times. To help eliminate a double chin, point your chin toward the ceiling. With your mouth closed, stick out your lower jaw as far as possible until you can feel the tendons in your neck stretch. Hold this position for a slow count of 10; repeat three times. This exercise also smooths out neck wrinkles and strengthens a weak jaw.

Face Creams and Masks: Many products claim to remove wrinkles, and many of them actually work for some people. Albumin or collagen protein creams or lotions contain collagen, the albuminoid substance that gives skin its shape. Creams and lotions that contain collagen act to fatten up and reshape cells that have lost elasticity. They can and do help smooth wrinkles, but they do not cause a drastic improvement. For a less expensive treatment, apply fresh egg white to your face; because it's rich in albumin, it will contract the skin and temporarily improve disfiguring lines. Let the egg white dry for about 20 minutes, rinse it off with warm water, and then splash your face with cool water.

Facial masks -- commercial or homemade -- that contain collagen or albumin are also effective; these include egg-based or milk masks and many other natural masks. Use the masks regularly, as directed.Hormone creams contain estrogen, progesterone, or steroids. These creams are very controversial, but many claim fantastic results. If you want to try a hormone cream, use it as directed for a month or two -- don't expect overnight results. If you see no results, stop using the cream. If you do see an improvement after a month or two, stop using the cream for two or three months to see what happens. After this time, if you want to use it again, go ahead; follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Market value can oscillate based on the area around you. If your neighbors all renovate their homes, the market value for the area goes up, but then so do your real estate property taxes, even though you didn't do anything. Personal property taxes don't work that way. If all of your neighbors buy new cars, your car's personal property tax rate does not change.

However, some circumstances can cause variations tax bills.Rates change from year to year based on depreciation. In general, age and wear and tear make your items less valuable. However, even the same items can be taxed differently. For example, you and your neighbor own the same car. It's the same make, model, year and color, and you even have the exact same optional features on it. Seems like they should be taxed the same personal property tax, right? Not necessarily.

Let's say you take great care of your car. You wash and wax it regularly, keeping the inside and outside in good condition. You keep it in the garage, and because you work from home, you only drive it once a week to the store. When you do drive it, you park far away to be sure that it does not get dinged by runaway shopping carts.Meanwhile, your neighbor commutes 50 miles to and from work every day. He drives 400 miles every other weekend to visit his family. He has gotten into a couple minor fender benders. Since they just dented his car a bit, he didn't get them fixed. Plus, he parks his car on the street, where the bumpers get scratched, and the paint is starting to fade from the weather.

Your car's exceptionally low mileage and great condition mean it's worth more than your neighbor's worn-down car, even though they're the same vehicle. However, because you have the nicer car, your car's market value is higher, and your personal property taxes will be higher too. Take heart knowing that you will make a lot more if you sell it -- and of course, you have the sweeter ride.Personal property taxes don't fluctuate much within a state, but if you're moving to a new state, you may want to check its taxes. What is taxable may change. You might even be moving to a state without personal property taxes. Some states, such as Ohio, are in the process of phasing out their personal property tax.

For instance, the paper craft of book-binding began in the second century for the protection of old parchment manuscripts. By the Middle Ages the art of bookbinding had risen to great heights. Books were rare and precious, and many were covered with beautiful designs that were true works of art.

You can encourage a love of books by spending time with your kids to create your own works of art. Whether they're just learning their numbers or ready for a more challenging craft project, book crafts are fun, and educational too! One complaint some people had about early e-book readers was that it can be difficult to read words on an LCD display.

Some users complained that longer reading sessions put too much strain on their eyes. Amazon's solution to this problem was to use electronic ink technology. The Kindle's electronic ink screen looks more like paper than an LCD screen. It reflects light in much the same way that paper does. The screen lacks a backlight, so you'll need an external light source in order to read anything.

To get the most out of your Amazon Kindle, you'll need to create an account with Amazon.com. It's a free process -- all you'll need is a valid e-mail address. Once you have an account, you can register your Kindle with Amazon. This gives you access to the Kindle Store through Amazon's wireless network called Whispernet.

The time, distance and financial constraints of higher education have all but disappeared with the arrival of distance learning via telecommunications and online technology.

If you're already in the workforce but would like to earn a degree, then the opportunity is there. It may require some technological know-how, current computer equipment, and a lot of self-discipline, but it is definitely easier and more effective than it used to be.

Today, you can earn a degree from a major university without ever having sat in one of their classrooms. Many colleges and universities are jumping on the distance learning bandwagon and offering online courses and degree programs. There are even consortiums of universities, such as Canadian Virtual University (CVU). CVU offers no courses or degrees itself, but simply acts as a portal for courses from 14 universities across Canada.

There is also the Global University Alliance that is a consortium of 10 schools from the United States, England, Australia, Switzerland, Singapore, China, Japan and Denmark. There are even schools that are complete, stand-alone virtual universities with no campuses, no football teams, and no fraternity row. In this article we'll look at how online degrees work, what you should look for if you are pursuing a degree via the online option, and what employers think of online degrees.

The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) specifies eight different banner sizes, according to pixel dimensions. A pixel is the smallest unit of color used to make up images on a computer or television screen.

The full banner (468 x 60) is by far the most popular, but you will see all these variations all over the Web. These are not the only banner ad shapes and sizes, either, but they are a good representation of the range of common banner ads. There is no universal file-size constraint for banner ads, but most Web sites impose their own limits on memory size, usually something like 12K to 16K. This is because banner ads add to the total file size of the page they appear on, therefore increasing the time it takes for a browser to load that page.

As you've probably noticed while surfing the Web, actual graphic content, or creative, varies considerably among banner ads. The simplest banner ads feature only one, static GIF or JPEG image, which is linked to the advertiser's home page.

More common is the GIF-animated banner ad, which displays several different images in succession, sometimes to create the effect of animated motion. Then there are rich media banner ads -- ads that use audio, video, or Java and Shockwave programming. These banner ads, which usually have larger file sizes, are often interactive beyond their simple linking function.
