Before we decide which iPod speakers are the best, we must first set out criteria on which to base our decision. We need to examine sound quality, volume control, function, and practical use. Sound quality can be judged by depth of base, frequency limits and, realistic sound. Volume control can be judged by ease of use, the volume extremity, and the range of volume choice. Functions are important; the iPod speakers should have multiple functions to keep the product interesting to the buyer. The speakers must be easy to use and store, you must be able to place them in all houses and, in most cases, on most shelves. They must be of a universally effective size.

We must examine higher quality brands, and take the advice and testimonials of others when determining which speakers are best. We can use the internet, flyers, and sales people at electronic stores to find out what brand and model is best. Brands such as Bose and JBL are of high quality and boast special attention to quality of work. Bose has higher prices and great reviews, so when it comes down to it, this is the brand I’m going to go with.

Now we must determine what functions are best, as well as which models have the highest capacities. Bose offers three speaker systems for the iPod. One is Bluetooth, which connects to the iPod wirelessly. This connectivity is convenient, but has short range. They offer a portable version of the direct connect iPod speaker system, which charges the device, and connects directly to the device’s data port. This is convenient as the device retains a charge, and is located securely on the speakers.

Unfortunately, the portable version of the speakers lack strength. The final option is the “Sound dock 10 high performance dock”. This product is excellent as it boasts powerful sound, with great depth of bass. It offers a small profile with huge sound, rivaling that of a larger sound system. The product also offers an auxiliary input for other devices of different brands. The frequency limits on this system are above and beyond any other on the market, making the sound very lifelike and ear catching.

The system also offers Bluetooth connectivity to allow that wireless freedom that some users may want. The small size of this powerhouse allows greater accessibility to a much larger demographic of people. You can fit it anywhere from the kitchen counter, to your bed side table. I have chosen this great product as my final choice as it has the best overall rating of my personal preferences. I find that, aside from the price, this system provides everything needed to boast powerful, life like sound and performance.

When you are running or jogging, whether through your neighborhood or at the gym, good music can make all the difference. Having the right gear and earbuds that will stay I place as you burn calories is something that will help you enjoy your workout. Monster iSport are the best earbuds for running for several practical reasons. Here’s why, and since they are quite expensive I also give a secondary option that is dramatically lower in price…

Listening to your favorite tunes helps your workout go by faster so that you can more easily commit to the new active lifestyle you are working so hard towards. When you have good music playing, you might even be more inspired to push yourself harder and go longer than you normally would. But having a good pair of reliable earbuds is vital to being able to reap these benefits.

Nothing is more irritating during a run than earbuds that do not fit properly and are constantly falling out of place. This irritation disrupts your focus as you are forced to fiddle with your earbuds rather than concentrate on making that last mile. This hindrance can lead to bad form that can significantly hamper your progress.

In order to get the most from each run, you need to be able to focus on your breath and the task at hand in order to endure until the end. High quality, immovable earbuds that deliver your motivational beats can help you accomplish this. Monster iSport In-Ear Headphones delivers on all these points, meeting the needs of all runners.

Monster iSport offers innovative clip-on headphone earbuds that take care of all these issues so that you can concentrate on your run uninterrupted. The practical features of the iSport earbuds start with an angled housing that helps keep the cable out of the way. With these headphones you never need to worry about your hands catching the cable and pulling the earbuds out. Additional clips and an extension cable offer more versatility and security.

These sporty earbuds are also sweat-proof, protecting them against damage from moisture. Ear tips come in four sizes – small, medium, large, and extra large – to ensure the best fit that will stay in place. Oval hangers that wrap behind the ears help to further secure these earbuds into place.

Beyond a great fit, the Monster iSport Immersion In-Ear Headphones deliver high-quality sound for the best music experience every time. Bass and treble are perfectly calibrated to deliver your music at its best. Great sound and snug earbuds will provide the motivation and inspiration you need to stick to your workout plan.

The best earbuds for running come from a company that specializes in earbuds, headphones, and accessories for the sports person. With Monster’s technology and innovation behind the In-Ear Headphones, you know that these headphones will stay in place and deliver quality like no other.

But they are expensive. And they are worth it if you have that kind of money for the best earbuds for running. However, a secondary choice should be the MEElectronics M6-BK Sport Headphones.

For the price (and it’s WAY lower than the Monster earbuds), you can’t go wrong. They are a little bit less reliable when you are running, and the sound isn’t as good, but overall they are a great buy and you won’t be disappointed.

The Skull Candy INK’d Earbuds are quickly becoming just as popular as the headphones of the same name. In addition to offering customers high quality sound, customers love the Skull Candy INK’d Earbuds particularly because of its cool design. Additionally, you are guaranteed to find a style of these earbuds that will suit your personality, as they are available in a range of styles and colors as well.

Skull Candy earbuds not only have a cool and stylish design, but they also have very high quality sound, which primarily emphasizes the base frequencies of the earbuds. There are various models of the earbuds available, the most popular among them being the Skull Candy INK’d Earbuds.

This particular model of the Skull Candy earbuds are available in colors such as red, blue, green and purple, and prices for these earbuds start at $10 and up. For instance, you can purchase a pair of the Skull Candy INK’d Earbuds for approximately $12. Of all the Skull Candy earbuds sold, the Skull Candy INK’d Earbuds are one of the cheaper models, and they come with a frequency range of 20 to 20 kHz. Additionally, the earbuds feature a 1.3m cable length and has a 100MW maximum output. There is also a 3.5mm plug type that is gold plated.

One feature of the Skull Candy INK’d Earbuds that customers seem to love the most is the fact that it is great at canceling out practically all the background noise. Additionally, there are a number of customers who comment that they are very impressed with the sound quality of this specific model, particularly one that is priced at approximately $12 per pair.

However, one ongoing complaint that customers have about the Skull Candy INK’d Earbuds as with other models of these earbuds is that they break easily. Per contra, even though there are complaints that these earbuds break easily, many customers look past this fault because of the cool design and impressive sound quality of this model.
When purchasing the Skull Candy INK’d Earbuds or any other model of the Skull Candy earbuds, you ought to keep in mind that they will break easily, particularly in the area where the wire is directly connected to the earpiece. However, you can prevent them from breaking by not wrapping the cord around your MP3 player, and also by treating the earbuds very carefully.

Even though the Skull Candy INK’d Earbuds are not as strong as their headphones, they do not need as much power as the headphones and they are quite portable. Additionally, you can plug these earbuds into any type of MP3 player that you have, and do not have to worry about the losing the great sound quality.

They are very comfortable to wear due to the earphones thicker than expected foam padding and a rubber clip which attaches snugly to the top of the ear. The sound quality is excellent for earphones of this size and is due, in part to the snug and close fit to the ears.

BOSE SoundDock iPod Docking Station

An iPod speaker dock provides the perfect solution for playing the music on your iPod at home or on the go when you want other people to hear your music as well – at parties, social events and other situations that are ideal for background music. Plus, these devices can store and charge your iPod or iPhone when they are not in use. BOSE, although not the cheapest, is renowned for its superb and excellent sound quality and is better in this regard than many of its nearest rivals. It is superbly built and encased in a tough, glossy plastic with a metal mesh covering the speakers. It has a sturdy metal base with rubber feet. Sound output is very loud and clear and highs are favoured over bass, though low-end performance is clear and distortion-free. If you seek quality rather than the price consideration, then this is definitely the system to go for.

Over the years, you might have invested a lot in building your music library on your iPod. You might have copied those songs from a CD you have purchased, or you purchased the songs from iTunes. But what happens when one day your iPod crashes or gets corrupted?

All of the songs that you have will be gone, wiped and all your investment to build your ultimate music library goes down the drain.

Once in a while, you should backup your iPod to be prepared for cases like this. Here is a step by step guide on how to backup your iPod.

Backup Your iPod to a Disc Method

Step 1: Connect your iPod to your computer and launch iTunes. Click on “File” > “Library” > “Back Up to Disc”.

Step 2: Read carefully the options and select which data that you would like to backup. Once you have selected what you want, click “Next”.

Step 3: A dialog box will appear, and it will let you know on the amount of discs needed in order to backup all the data that you have selected. Click “Continue”, and insert a blank disc. Insert in a new blank disc whenever prompted by iTunes.

Step 4: You have backed up your iPod. If anything happens and you would like to get the songs back, insert the CDs into your computer, connect your iPod, and click “Restore” and choose from disc.

Backup your iPod to an External Hard Drive Method

Step 1: Locate the iTunes music folder on your computer. If you are using a Mac, it will be under “Music”, and if you are using Windows, it will be under “My Music”.

Step 2: Start the iTunes software, and go to “iTunes” if you are on Mac, or “Edit” if you are on Windows, followed by “Preferences” > “Advanced”.

Step 3: Check the “Copy Files to iTunes Music Folder When Adding to Library” option and proceed to click “OK.

Step 4: Next, go to “File” > “Library” > “Organize Library”. Click “OK” after checking the option “Consolidate Files”

Step 5: You have already backed up your iPod files on your computer’s internal hard drive. Now proceed by plugging in your external hard disk drive.

Step 6: Copy the iTunes music folder on your computer to your external hard disk drive, and you have already backed up your iPod files to your external hard disk drive. To restore it, use the same method as above, but choose your HDD as the source.

For those audiophiles who have to have a soundtrack wherever they go, mp3 players is still their ideal gift.

While many phones now have the ability to play music, there are times when a person doesn’t want to carry their phone with them.

Also, most mp3 players have a better sound quality than smart phones. So, what are the 5 best mp3 players for 2011 and 2012?

Zune HD

This is a flash drive mp3 player for those high tech adopters who have to have the best gadgets. The difference between a flash drive mp3 player and the standard variety is that the flash drive variety can play games and quality video in addition to audio and music files.
The Zune has placed second to iPod touch for many music lovers. It has a 32 GB storage capacity, a HD OLED touch screen and 33 hours of battery life. It is also Wi-Fi enabled, has an FM radio, and menu driven system that is easy to navigate.

Save 20% Or More On MP3 Players!

Sony X Series Walkman

This player has great sound quality and storage capacity, but the video playback quality isn’t as good as with other players. One thing that makes it stand out is its surround sound ability that allows it to compete with larger players. It also has a noise canceling feature to allow people to wind down after a hard day, even if they have to ride the city bus to get home.

An interesting feature of the Sony X Series is the Mood Based playlist. This list is created by the player based on the bass, notes, and other elements of a song. The Sony X will go through all of the songs stored in the unit and create lists such as Relax or Energetic. This is a feature that seems to work well, and the playlists that it creates are pretty accurate.

Sansa Clip

Created by San Disk, this is the first of three small mp3 players on this top 5 list. A player doesn’t have to be large to be great, and the Sansa Clip is an excellent representative of this sentiment. It is only the size of a car key, but is expandable to up to 16 GB. It can play pod casts, audio files and mp3 files. The sound on this unit is fantastic, and the clip allows a person to attach it to their clothes when they go for a run or walk their dog.

Samsung Tic Toc

Going with the smaller is sometimes better motif, the 35mm Tic Toc is responsive to motion control. A person can shake it to skip tracks. If a person clips it to their clothes it is responsive to the movement of the person.

iPod Touch Nano

If you are looking for pint size and touch screen, than the iPod Touch Nano may be considered the best of both worlds. This little player is all screen, and is very sensitive to touch. A person can swipe, flick, drag, and rotate items on the menu screen easily. While clipped to a person’s clothing, they can go through tracks with a touch and doesn’t even have to look at what they are doing. So they can sort songs while running without having to worry about hitting that telephone pole that is up ahead.

Whether the individual likes high tech or sleek, feature packed or basic, there is an mp3 player that will fit the bill. For 2011/2012 these players allow people to listen to FM radio, their favorite pod casts or their own playlists without missing a beat.

iPod has already made traveling easier and millions of people are able to take advantage of the numerous uses the iPod gives us. People are able to carry music, photos, movies, and digital voice recordings anywhere we go. To add to these many uses traveling to foreign countries and learning a new language is now even simpler. There are several software packages available to iPod users that allow them to see and hear phrases in foreign languages.

IParrot is a multi-language translator that gives you translations of a variety of sentences so you can speak with others in different countries. By making use of the “Notes” feature, iParrot turns your iPod into a translator, language learner machine, dictionary, and encyclopedia. IParrot version 2.0 is compatible with the iPod Mini, iPod Nano and iPod Video. The program features text correction and improvement and pronunciation correction and improvement.

IParrot uses various categories that are organized into greetings, transportation, shopping, help, etc. Sentences are organized for instant access and ease of use. The iParrot is available in Chinese, English, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Korean and Portugese. Users are able to read sentences directly off the screen.

ILingo is another language translation software that works with iPod as well. ILingo is also organized into categories for ease of use. These categories include greetings, shopping, getting directions and emergency. ILingo contains basic phrases for international travel. Each country is tailored and you are able to find any phrase you need in any country. ILingo also helps users learn proper pronunciation as the speaker pronounces each phrase for you properly. Practice your language while you are on the plane and you will be ready to go when you land.

Each translator comes with four hundred phrases in each language. Audio files have been created by native speakers so that pronunciation is correct. ILingo is compatible with iPods that have the dock connector on the bottom. It is not compatible with the iPod shuffle, or and iPod that has a wheel that physically moves or a direct FireWire connection on top. There are two versions of iLingo. ILingo Euro Pack features French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. ILingo AsiaPack features Cantonese, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

No need for a stereo anymore. The iPod Hi-Fi produces stereo quality sound from your iPod. The iPod slides easily into the universal dock and you can easily find your favorite songs. The iPod Hi-Fi also takes the place of the home stereo system, as you are able to fill your home with excellent sound.

This system even comes with a remote control for music wherever you are in the room. The Hi-Fi also charges your iPod while you listen to music. Another great feature of the Hi-Fi is that you can take it anywhere. The Hi-Fi can be taken anywhere – even outdoors. The Hi-Fi uses a D-cell battery pack to provide music at the park, lake or in the backyard.

The sound quality of the Hi-Fi is amazing, as you are able to hear every instrument and every voice in a song. The sound is excellent and crystal clear. If you have an iPod Video, the Hi-Fi will illuminate the album art on the screen.

The iPod Hi-Fi is compatible with the iPod nano, iPod mini, 3G iPod, 4G iPod with Click Wheel, iPod Color and iPod Video. The system houses all of its power components internally. There is no ugly power box and it can also function off six D-cell batteries. Even on battery power, the Hi-Fi will charge your iPod. While on battery mode, the Hi-Fi can even manage its battery power by adjusting sound and volume as necessary. The system will communicate with your iPod and with the Speakers menu or the user can adjust music settings to their liking.

There are a few other options that you can choose from for maximum compatibility. The dock has adaptors to fit all dockable iPods and there is also a plug for compatibility with your iPod Shuffle. All speaker parts are enclosed in the shell with a front plate for protection.

The iPod Hi-Fi will easily become a fixture in iPod loving homes. There will no longer be a need for stereos, boom boxes and personal CD players.

Given that the music and media industry is seriously cracking down on copyright infringement and online piracy of copyrighted material this has meant that a great deal of content on the likes of YouTube are being removed for alleged breaches of copyright law. Because of this, it maybe a good idea to convert your favorite YouTube videos into the format which will allow you to view them on your iPod. Of course, converting YouTube videos for viewing on an iPod will also allow the user to watch their favorite videos in their own time and at their convenience rather than having to gain access to a PC with internet access in order to access the site.

People are concerned that they will fall foul of copyright law if they convert videos from YouTube for use on their iPod but these concerns are totally unfounded so long as two conditions (contained and clearly stated within the Terms of Service of the YouTube site) are satisfied which are as follows:

That the videos so extracted and converted are for individual, personal usage only and will not be distributed to others.

If there are any copyright notices contained within the files, these remain unaltered.

Another concern expressed by iPod users is that they worried about how much they will have to pay for the privilege of converting the videos for viewing on their iPods…the answer (and make sure you are sitting down before reading this!) is: nothing! That’s right, no fees, no monthly subscriptions no lawsuits. This is because there are a number of free services that can be readily downloaded from the internet.

If you own a PC and you have a copy of iTunes installed on it then you are advised to ensure that you make use of “iTube” which is a media converter program that will enable the user to convert the video into any number of different file formats. It can be downloaded from the following link.

If you own a Mac and you have a copy of iTunes installed on it then you should make use of Podtube. Please be advised that if you do intend to use Podtube you will need to be aware that this is only compatible with Safari. It can be downloaded from the following link.

It is also possible to download music from the p2p (peer to peer) software application Limewire. However the internet user who uses this method of acquiring music should be very cautious indeed because sadly a great deal of the material which is stored on Limewire has been infected by viruses and Trojan horses. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you download and make use of an effective anti-virus program.

Please note that iPods are only compatible with the following media formats: MP4 and H.264 video and so if you download a Limewire video that is not one of these formats then you will have to convert it. However, please do not use iTunes to convert your video files because not only will you suffer a massive drop in quality but the videos will also lose their sound as well! Your best bet is to use the Aimersoft iPod Video Converter.

Here’s how to put music on an ipod…

If you have purchased an Apple iPod and are struggling to come to grips with how it works then you can breathe a deep sigh of relief because this article will help give you all the information you need to get the most out of your iPod.

One of the most commonly asked questions (surprisingly) submitted by people who have recently bought an Apple iPod is: “how to put music on an ipod?” In order to use your iPod to its fullest capacity you need to ensure that you download a software application known as “Apple iTunes.” This is a totally free application which can be downloaded from the following link http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

iPods typically come with iTunes pre-installed on a CD-ROM, however the problem here is that the version of iTunes stored on the CD-ROM is not always the latest version and the chances are that if you do not use the latest version you will get the following dialogue box quite frequently:

(Please note that at the time of this article being written that 8.2.1 is the latest version of iTunes. If you do not have the latest version of iTunes you will receive a dialogue that is precisely the same although the number specified as the version number maybe different.)

<!-<del>more</del>->

If you look at the above screenshot you will see that the Music option is highlighted (indicated by the grey marker). Music is where all of your music is stored whether the songs are individual tracks or full albums. Underneath the “Devices” heading you should see the name “tony1’s iPod” which is the name of my iPod. Again, in all likeliness the name that you see in your iTunes will most likely be different and the screenshot is only intended to serve as a reference guide. You will always find the iPod that is currently connected to the PC under the Devices heading.

In order to transfer music onto the iPod (again whether this is single tracks or entire albums) all you need to do is select the relevant song(s) (you will know that they have been selected when you see that they have a blue border around them as plainly seen in the 2nd image for the Garrison, NJ song) and then drag them onto the iPod currently connected to the PC.

This method is as equally valid and applicable to all forms of iPods. It is also possible to purchase music directly from the iTunes store and is extremely easy to do. If you already know in advance what song(s) you wish to add to your iPod then you may want to use the “1-click” facility which will mean that as soon as you click on a button to confirm your purchase, your account will have the price deducted and the song is then downloaded to your iTunes library. As soon as any music enters your iTunes library, it is ready to be transferred onto the iPod itself and the process involved for this has been outlined above.

What is a podcast? A podcast is a multimedia file that an iPod user can receive through a paid or free subscription over the Internet. The podcast uses syndication feeds or “RSS feeds.” They can be played back on your iPod, mp3 player or personal computer. The podcast has been around since 2000 and by 2003 regular podcasts were being broadcasted across the web.

Podcasting is a version of “push technology” which allows the subscriber to choose feed channels. The multimedia files are transferred from a server to a client, which pulls XML files containing Internet address of the available media files. These files may contain audio, video, images, text, PDF and other file types.

The content provider then acknowledges the existence of the different files by referring these file through another file known as a “feed.” The feed is the list of URLs where the files may be found. This is generally done through a file published in RSS or Atom format. This format provides information such as the publishing date, titles, text descriptions and possibly even pictures. In general podcasts are one feed from one author, however, multiple authors are able to contribute episodes through a single podcast feed in public podcasting.

These feeds are posted on web servers and should be permanent in their location. The provider makes the feed known to the intended audience. For example, if you were to purchase a subscription to a podcast, the provider would provide you with the podcast feed URL. In order to manage your feeds, you will need a podcatcher or receiver to subscribe to and manage feeds. ITunes allows users to do this through their software. Users are also able to subscribe to free or paid podcasts. Users are then able to transfer their podcasts to their iPod or other mp3 player. Users do not have to have an iPod to receive podcasts.

Podcasts were initially intended for broadcasting radio shows and similar media. The system is so versatile that they have been used for distribution of school lessons, audio tours of museums, conference meeting alerts and updates and even by police departments for public distribution of safety messages. Podcasts are very versatile and unique, which allows them to be used with various different types of media.

There are several other different types of podcasting and distribution networks. There is autocasting, blogcasting, social media, streaming media and user content. Distribution networks include Content Delivery Network, MMS podcast, Mobilecast, Peercasting, VoiceCast and Webcasting. There are also audio podcasting services such as MP3 blog, Phonecasting, Skypecasting, Soundseeing Tour and video image podcasting such as Photofeed, Video Podcast and Screencast.

Podcasting is not related directly to the iPod and Apple did not develop the name of the podcast. Several different media players may download Podcasts and you do not need an iPod to subscribe to one. ITunes does make it easier for the iPod user to have access to podcasts. Podcasts can be very informative or used for entertainment. ITunes allows you to download casts by various artists as well as comedians and other stations.
Spawn. An iPhone or iPod Touch application you will enjoy guaranteed.

A friend of ours just created a very cool application that works on the iPhone and iPod Touch. It’s called Spawn, and it’s currently #19 in the US, #18 in Canada and #38 in the UK for applications sold.

There are 248 reviews on iTunes, with an average of 4 stars…should be 5. You can see the iPhone and iPod Touch application and the reviews here.

You can also view and/or buy the application here as well.

What an amazing application, it’s like a firework on steroids! The best part is that you have full control over every aspect of it without having to open any options dialog. You can control the path of the light objects with your finger, change the color through pinching at the right location, change the tail length, size, speed, everything and to top it all off you double tap the screen and all particles instantly combust into a thousand offspring. The little particles will never get tired of amazing you with ever changing new beautiful artistic constellations and neither will you get tired of watching them doing their thing. Highly recommended!

You can see customer images uploaded on Flickr here. This is probably the best place to go to view some amazing images that Spawn creates. And there is also a Flickr group for Spawn.

Noise from personal music players is a routine annoyance for travelers on buses, trains and planes.

But it also threatens permanent hearing loss for as many as 10 million Europeans who use them, according to a scientific study for the European Union that is due to be published Monday.

The report said that those who listened for only five hours a week at high-volume settings exposed themselves to more noise than permitted in the noisiest factory or workplace. Maximum volume on some devices can generate as much noise as an airplane taking off nearby. Read the rest of the story.

What’s cool: One of the biggest problems we face when working out is the endless dives your iPod takes from your pocket or your sweaty hand. Sure, there are other devices out there, but this one is much simpler. If it ‘sticks’ then it will be a big winner.

But otherwise…where do you get these things? Right here: GoiStik.com

Now you will be able to download movies to your iPod. Steve Jobs announced that iTunes is now in the movie rental business. He announced this at the MacWorld San Francisco 2008 keynote address.

The partners in this new business venture are Touchstone, Mirimax, Lionsgate, Newline, Fox, MGM, Warner Bos., Disney, Paramount, Sony, and Universal Studios. This partnership will provide iPod owners with the ability to watch movies on Macs, iPods, iPhones, and Apple TV’s via iTunes.

Rentals are going for $2.99 for older movies and $3.99 for new releases. The quality of the movies will be equal to DVD quality.

Rentals will be ready 30 days after the DVD release of the movie. You’ll have 30 days to begin watching the movie, and then you only have 24 hours to finish the movie.

You can also get HD movies.

High definition movies are also available for $4.99 each, with 100 titles available today—but it appears these are only available on the Apple TV.

Side Bar: Steve Jobs also announced that iTunes broke a single day record where Christmas day brought in 20 million songs downloaded in a 24 hour time frame!

Can’t find an open source MP3 player? Neither could we. Here’s an idea: Build your own. Daisy is an easy-to-build, pocket-sized open source MP3 player.

Producing sound as good as an iPod, the Daisy can access 65,000 tracks, play 48khz WAV files as well as MP3’s, and unlike an iPod, has batteries that you can actually change. But the big thing about Daisy is the ease with which it interfaces with

so many devices, including the Make Controller.

It is the perfect MP3 kit for Makers, for it is easily integrated into kiosks, displays, art installations, or just about anything else you can dream up.
other mp3 player), camera, cell phone, and any other gadget you can plug into a USB port to charge.

The charger circuitry and 2 AA batteries fit into an Altoids gum tin, and will run your iPod for hours, 2.5x more than you’d get
from a 9V USB charger! You can use rechargable batteries too. Some soldering is necessary, but even if you’ve never soldered before it should be pretty easy.

Tested with iPod nano/mini/photo/video/shuffle, Blackberry, iPaq, LuxPro Tangent, Rio Carbon, Samsung T809 and more. Batteries and tin not included. If you live in an area that doesn’t have Altoids gum, you can buy a tin (including the gum)
 from us.

Says daxmaximum about the video below…

!!*** PLEASE READ THIS FIRST! ****!!

Use this technique if all else has failed. Most users will be fine just by reseting their Ipod, or by ejecting it from windowsItunes, but for those that actually have corrupt files and just want their Ipod back, this is what you need.

A buddy gave me an Ipod to fix, he couldn’t restore it using Itunes, the reason? The corrupt files were causing a failure to read them in windows. I had to find an alternative way to get Itunes to see the Ipod.

Migo Software is making it easier for iPod users to lose one of the numerous devices that they have to carry around everyday, including their laptop or PC.

Even if you don’t leave your computer at home, your iPod will now allow you to access the important information that you need from your PC on your iPod. All you need is access to a Windows-based computer and you will have a virtual copy of your own PC.

Users are able to bring up their personal computer on any other Windows-based computer whether it is at the library or a cruise ship. Users will have all of their personal files on their iPod. You can even get your e-mail, calendar and contacts through Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer favorites. If you have multiple profiles on your computer, you can brink all of those as well.

Migo software initially began by downloading the software on to a USB flash drive or memory card. They have adapted it so that iPod users can now take advantage of their software. Since you never leave home without your iPod, you will always have the latest versions of your files and email. You can access data from any computer that uses Windows and Microsoft Office.

Every time you hook your iPod up to your home computer, Migo will synchronize your iPod and your personal computer. The software is also encrypted so nobody will know that you were using the computer for your personal work and no trace of you is left behind. You are also able to use any peripherals on the shared computer from scanners to printers and more.

The software is able to allow iPod users to go to a whole new level of convenience. The software is great for business travelers and individuals that like to travel but are unable or do not desire to carry their personal computer where ever they go.

If you drain the battery on your iPod where it doesn’t have any amount of charge left in it, you may find it very difficult to power your iPod back on. Even if you plug in into it’s charger and leave it charging for days it still may not power up. Do not despair, you probably haven’t broken your iPod, you may just need to take a few extra steps to boot it out of the deep sleep mode.

So What Do You Do If Your iPod Won’t Turn On or Power Up?

The first thing you can try would be to try resetting your iPod by sliding the hold button to the locked position for 30 seconds and then switching it back to the unlocked position. The hold button is the small button on top of your iPod that can be slid to the left and right positions. If this does not work, plug your iPod into its charger and press the center button and menu button together at the same time. Resetting your iPod will not cause you to loose your music files, but you may have to reset some customized settings once it powers back up.

If this does not work, download the latest version of iTunes software and use the iTunes software to update your iPod. If iTunes does not register your iPod, and does not show that it’s connected then proceed to the next step.

If this also does not work, then the problem may be in the USB cord that you are using to charge your iPod and to connect to your computer. If you know of someone else that has an iPod you can borrow their cord to see if yours is faulty. If using a borrowed cord powers up your iPod, then you will need to replace your USB cord.

If you have access to a Windows computer, sometimes you can “shock” your iPod and cause it to come out of deep sleep mode by connecting it to another computer using the iPod’s USB cable. It has to be a computer running Windows. This step will not work on an Apple computer. To do this, plug your iPod into the separate system and wait for Windows to notice it as a new drive. When Windows picks up the iPod as a new drive, cancel the prompt to update or look for drivers and unplug your iPod. Only do this step under the direst of circumstances, because if you do not unplug your iPod immediately it could erase your files. Do not accept any attempt to changes that Windows will ask you to make to your iPod, just plug it in quickly, wait a moment and then unplug.

If the alternative Windows system recognizes your iPod, then when you try to power up your iPod, it should start now and be ready for normal use again. Once your iPod is powered back on, charge it for several hours until it’s fully charged again and try not to let your iPod battery get so low on charge again in the future.

If your system does not recognize your iPod once it’s fully recharged, then you will need to troubleshoot issues with your computer.

If none of the above steps work, then you will need to contact Apple support, your iPod may need to be serviced by a professional repairman or the battery may need to be replaced.
