Description: Ummagma is a Canadian-Ukrainian duo comprised of Alexx Kretov and Shauna McLarnon. Ummagma’s musical style is vacillating and broadly influenced “easy positive music” with intense richly-layered landscapes of pulsating sound, a mixture of the ethereal with sublime resonance, beats and rhythm that effectively creates richly layered landscapes. While this music encompasses several genres of music (dream pop, progressive rock, post-rock, ambient/ethereal, shoegaze and post-punk), there is a common remarkable theme, elevating atmosphere and stirring effect in Ummagma’s music.

For Alexx, making music began in childhood and recording began with a double-deck recorder in post-Soviet Ukraine. Shauna’s songwriting began with acapella tunes. Sasha is originally from Kremenets (western Ukraine) and Shauna is from Whitehorse, Yukon (Canada). This joint project began as a huge affair with love and sound in Moscow 2003.  

Comparisons have been made to such performers as the Cocteau Twins, Blonde Redhead, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, AIR, Sigur Ros, Stereolab, Michael Brook, Lush, Mercury Rev, Talk Talk, Snow Patrol, Ultravox, and Bowery Electric, but everyone will surely find something truly and exclusively UMMAGMA in this music…

In mid-July, Ummagma released two CD albums (“Ummagma” and “Antigravity”) and has issued several videos on YouTube.

Description: Myosotis is an ambient duo from the Netherlands. Amandus and Evert have been making music together for around 3-4 years now, at first solely guitars and piano. As of last year they have started producing ambient music together because of a mutual interest for ambient, which they entitled the Myosotis project. First intentions of a duo were to create "two sides of the same coin", which would include Light as well as Dark ambiences, and to combine the two.

Intersection is a debut release of Myosotis containing eight carefully selected tracks and being a kind of summary of years, that musicians spent working and experimenting in search of their own sound.
