Cristiana yacht

The aluminum hull Cristiana yacht may be one of Hyun-Seok Kim’s smaller designs but it packs all the creature comforts of a full size super-yacht into just 13 meters. The exterior features extra wide decks situated higher than average for better looks and to maximize interior space.

Inside, the normal location of the master bedroom (at the stern) and living room (at the bow).are switched to take advantage of the extra space for entertaining.

Green Noise Bluetooth Headset is a step in the right direction, although I think it can do with some refinements. For a first draft in the idea of having headsets that soak in the high decibels and convert them to usable energy, it is a fantastic take.

Rieul-Private Floating Home With Dock

Not so much a yacht as it is a floating home, the Rieul-Useful provides luxurious accommodations from the comfort of the marina.

The second floor consists of two bedrooms, an entertainment lounge and complete kitchen but the really special part is what’s underneath- the S-shaped design features a private dock on the first floor with space for a single hull yacht up to 15m long, giving yacht owners access to their own private amenities versus sharing facilities with a large yacht community.

Leaf Wireless Mouse scores big time on looks and has a decent enough direction as far as tech aspects go. The one thing that we do with our mouse the most is to move it around. Based on this, the designers have created a concept that uses its motion to self-power the mouse.

It sounds like a whiff of air for now, but imagine if we could have a wireless mouse that did not tank up on so many batteries every month? Because I use it so much, I tend to replace my Magic Mouse battery every 7-8 days. I say go for Leaf right now!

Smartphone Booklet

Clutch your pearls because I’m about to say something amazing – nanoparticles! Yes these tiny, near invisible objects can revolutionize the bio medical, optical and electronic fields so designer Ilshat Garipov put pen to paper and came up with the Smartphone Booklet – a disposable phone as thin as a cardboard made possible by switching from traditional silicon to nanoparticles.

The Booklet unfolds like a pamphlet with each side representing a commonly used application or function. Manufacturers can cut it to any size and once it’s worn out, just recycle it. Don’t worry about private information because everything is served from a cloud. Power is supplied by, SURPRISE, the sun thanks to energy absorbing nanoparticles.

How close is this to reality? Unfortunately not close enough but scientists are working feverishly to find a breakthrough in this field of study so in the meantime hold on to your iPhones, Droids, Galaxies, and Luminas.

Mercedes SLK Aphelios

Mercedes SLK Aphelios was inspired by Ohrid trout, endemic species in Lake Ohrid, Macedonia. Apostol Tnokovski designed this concept car as part of Macedonian Mercedes Design Contest. It’s a futuristic sports car with fluid body design to give you a sense of power and speed in visually stunning vehicle design. You can read this industrial designer explanation in the next paragraph.

Apostol Tnokovski says:

I can say that one of the things that are mostly typical for me is that, as a designer my concepts are organic, often inspired by the richness you can find in the sea world.

While creating this particular concept, I wanted to bring my own personal mark to it by using organic (fluid) forms, but at the same time I wanted to use something that is a part of the Macedonian heritage. After a careful research I decided, as inspiration for my concept to use the quite famous Ohrid trout.

Ohrid trout is one of the endemic species of trout on the Balkans and in Europe. This species of trout can be found only in the Ohrid Lake in Macedonia. Тhe Ohrid trout during daylight is mostly at the depths of the lake, away from the coast line but at night, it comes at the surface of the lake to hunt. There are cases when it comes very closely to the coast line in search of food. The maximum length of the Ohrid trout varies from 25 to 60 cm, and the maximum weight can reach up to 15,8 kg. What this trout makes it special and different from other kinds of trout are the small head, flat body and the very small, stars-like, gray spots all over the body.

There are four types of Ohrid trout:

    Salmo balcanicus
    Salmo lumi
    Salmo aphelios
    Salmo letnica

These four types of Ohrid trout have similar shapes and the only difference between them is in the way they breed.

The reason why I’m mentioning this classification is because I have used one of the Latin names of these types of Ohrid trout for the name of my sports car concept: MERCEDES SLK APHELIOS.

DEVELOPING THE CONCEPT
After I decided the subject on which my Mercedes SLK Aphelios concept is going to be based on, I continued to the next phase. That phase consisted on detail sketching, then stylization and simplifying the sketches so I can create a shape that in the end can be developed as a car concept.

SOLUTION
As you read in the text above, MERCEDES SLK APHELIOS is a futuristic, sports car inspired by the Ohrid trout.

What is specific for this concept is that fluid line that gives a sense of power and speed and in combination with the matte silver color it is clear visual sense of the subject of inspiration. Another specific for this concept but at the same time, for all of my other car concepts as well is that huge glass surface that begins with the front windshield over the roof top till the back windshield. The purpose of this huge glass surface is to enable the passengers a complete visual interaction with the surroundings.

Tablet Phone or Phone Tablet – You Decide

Mobikoma is a concept phone based on modules that fasten on to each other via micro locks. Each module has its own power supply and computing processor making it a powerful individual. However the purpose is to use them collectively as a phone and if you’re in the mood for it, a mini tablet. There are two specific elements dedicated to the SIM storage with phone memory and microphone. These elements are distinguished with their fancy etchings on the back.

Proposed Specs

    From two of these concept elements you can design mini cell phone sized 22mm x 44mm x 6mm.
    On the key elements there are programmed buttons.
    Other elements are without buttons.
    On the lateral surfaces in the middle of the fixing tape there are apertures.
    The locks of elements become apart after pushing by pin or similar subject in these apertures.
    You can design a new needed form from these elements.
    The touch screen needs thermal and kinetic operator energy for charging with the help of special adapter.
    This tablet has all kinds of wireless communication (wi-fi).
    Maximal size can be 1.5m x 2m.
    54 elements – the tablet computer
    2 elements – little cell phone
    18 elements – cell phone – backside

Lifebook-Laptop Concept

Seve Jobs once said that people don’t know what they until you show it to them. This is probably why we have independent gadgets now vying for integration with features of mainstream products.Can your tablet take good pictures; is your cellphone smart like a computer; can your MP3 player shoot videos? Not only are we duplicating applications, we are also diluting the individuality of a device. I’m not going to judge on the technology wastage here, instead I’ll update you on concepts like the Lifebook. An idea that integrates a tablet, camera, phone and music player to collectively form the hardware for a laptop! They all work independently to support their unique identity and yet unify to create a magical device.

The proposed Lifebook is a laptop computer concept based on the principle of “shared hardware”. Currently a lot of hardware is wasted when we use separate devices, as there is often a lot of “repeat” of data stored and features. For example if I have my songs on my music player, why do I have to block the same amount of storage on my laptop? Similarly, if I have a processor sitting in my tablet, why can it not also run/assist my laptop? If I have a fully functional camera with its own memory and image processing power, why do I need to have it repeated in my laptop?

The 360 Iron is the result of an exploration into the evolution of the common iron and a representation of key improvements made to an appliance that has otherwise experienced minimal change over the years.

Liberty Project

The Liberty Project is an innovative approach towards modular kitchen and space management. The setup integrates and aligns a refrigerator, cooking area, prep area, microwave, washing area, washing machine, water recycling system, air conditioning and exhaust.

The best part about the concept is that the working platform height can be adjusted for wheelchair bound folks. Moreover the platform configuration can be changed to suit individual needs. I really like the concept and the video is pretty neat too!

Fresh CO2 uses the carbon dioxide in the air to prolong the life of refrigerated food from 7 days upto a month! It basically controls the oxidization process and wilting of vegetables in a very controlled manner.

Ferrari Millenio super-car concept

The Ferrari Millenio, as the name might allude, is a futuristic super-car concept that features a complex combination of materials and technologies that we can hope will become a serious reality before the end of the next millenium.

The two-seater includes a buckypaper reinforced body that is stronger than steel and lighter than carbon fiber as well as dual electric engines that can be recharged via solar panels or through an inductive power transfer system.
