Experiencing the complication of high blood pressure can result in numerous health problems that can be potentially fatal. Hypertension, or blood pressure that is too high, is often referred to as the “silent killer”. This is because of the fact that symptoms generally do not appear until an excessive amount of damage has been done to the body, if then. It is important to ensure that you have your blood pressure checked regularly. If you find that you develop an issue with high rates, you should know and understand the methods of lowering blood pressure immediately. Here, you will learn of some of these methods.

Causes of High Blood Pressure

In order to gain an understanding of the methods necessary to effectively lower blood pressure, it is important to understand the main causes of this medical condition. There are causes that can be controlled, and then there are causes that cannot be controlled. Age and a family history that includes high numbers in blood pressure are two factors that cannot be controlled. However, the following causes of high blood pressure can be controlled:

•	Experiencing unhealthy amounts of weight

•	Drinking alcoholic beverages

•	Smoking

•	Lack of physical activity

•	High levels of stress

•	Inappropriate diet

Prescriptions Drugs for Lowering Blood Pressure

If you want to take the steps that are necessary for lowering blood pressure immediately, you will be pleased to know that there are many prescription drugs available that can help. Listed below are some examples of these medications:

•	Prescription Diuretics can assist the body in eliminating fluids and salts in the body, therefore reducing blood pressure numbers. An example of this type of prescription is HCTZ.

•	Felodipine is a prescription medication that that works to reduce the calcium in the heart, and aids in the overall contractions that the heart experiences.

•	Valsartan is a prescription that works to reduce the toxicity of the chemicals that have a direct impact on the overall narrowing of the blood vessels when an individual experiences high blood pressure.

If you are looking for methods on lowering blood pressure immediately, you should talk to your doctor about prescription medications that can assist you in your endeavors. The above lists just a few of many different types of prescriptions that are successful in this type of goal.

Natural Blood Pressure Remedies

Many who wish to lower their blood pressure are worried about the ingredients and overall effectiveness when it comes to the chemicals that are mixed in prescription medications. Natural blood pressure remedies are becoming quite popular as a result of this. Naturally, reducing alcohol and salt intake, eating a healthy diet, and getting plenty of exercise are appropriate natural remedies for high blood pressure. Did you know that there are herbs out there that can assist in lowering blood pressure immediately? Yes, that’s right – natural herbs to lower blood pressure! Listed below are some examples:

•	Garlic

•	Coenzyme Q10

•	Folic Acid

•	Fish Oil

•	Calcium

•	Hawthorne

Conclusion

Lowering blood pressure immediately can seem like an impossible task to the individual that suffers from this complication. However, there are many things one can do to accomplish this task. Simple lifestyle changes, like getting plenty of exercise is one option. Talking with your doctor about prescriptions that assist in this issue and even taking natural supplements like garlic can help you in your goal!

High blood pressure, the force with which blood is pumped through the body by the heart, affects an estimated 73 million American adults in the United States alone. While it can be a potentially deadly condition, high blood pressure can be managed. While your doctor can prescribe medication for you to help lower your blood pressure, a change in lifestyle is also usually recommended. Your doctor may suggest that you stop smoking, begin exercise more and follow a particular diet. He or she may give you a list of food to eat for high blood pressure management.

Water
Water is hydrophilic. This means that water attracts water. When you drink a lot of water, the water that is being retained in your body is attracted to that water and it is flushed out of your body. You should drink at least eight glasses of water a day. This means water, not soda or coffee. If the flavor of water (or lack thereof) is unappealing to you, you can squeeze a little lemon or lime to give it a little kick. It should also be noted that soda can actually cause you to retain water. In many people, caffeine can cause water retention so it is best to stick with plain water.

Reduced Salt and Sodium
Salt and other foods that contain sodium tend to cause water retention. It is important that you reduce the amount of salt and sodium in your diet. You can do this by making food choices that consist of natural foods like fresh fruits and vegetables. When you cook, use fresh herbs and spices instead of salt. If you find that you still need a little salt, use just a little on your portion. Cut back as much as possible.

Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
When you are selecting food to eat for high blood pressure management, fresh fruits and vegetables are some of your best choices. Fresh fruits and vegetables can provide many of the nutrients that you need to be healthy. Moreover, eating a diet rich in these foods can actually help to lower your weight which will also help with the management of your high blood pressure.

Lean Meats
Many doctors recommend that patients with high blood pressure cut the fat from their diet. When you select lean meats, chicken and fish to include in your diet, you will likely find that you lose weight as well as lower your blood pressure. The best method for cooking meat is to bake or broil. Frying has too much fat that that will completely defeat all of your healthy efforts.

If you watch your diet and take care of yourself, you can lower your blood pressure. You may even enjoy a little bonus by lowering your weight as well. It is important to take care of yourself because high blood pressure can put you at risk for heart attack and stroke. Make a commitment to yourself to identify food to eat for high blood pressure management and take those crucial steps to take care of yourself.

High blood pressure signs and symptoms are not always readily apparent. Known sometimes as the silent killer, high blood pressure, or hypertension, often affects people without any symptoms manifesting at all. Alternatively, one may feel signs that are insignificant enough that the person feeling them doesn’t feel compelled to get them checked out by a doctor.

The best way to find out if you have high blood pressure is to get regular checkups with your doctor. Your blood pressure will be measured with a sphygmomanometer, or blood pressure monitor. A cuff is placed around your upper arm, and it is inflated until it feels very tight. The doctor or nurse will listen through a stethoscope placed beneath this cuff to measure your blood pressure. Normal blood pressure is 120/80 or lower. The upper number is the systolic measurement, which is the active pumping of the blood from the ventricles into the arteries. The lower number is the diastolic measurement, which is the heart’s resting phase when the ventricles refill with blood.

If they find blood pressure levels they consider too high, they will let you know and request that you get several more readings over the next few weeks to see if it is due to stress or true high blood pressure.

Some people do feel symptoms of high blood pressure. Signs and symptoms of high blood pressure may include headaches or migraines, tiredness and fatigue, vision problems, mental confusion, dizziness, nosebleeds, chest pains, difficulty breathing, irregular heartbeat and blood in the urine. You probably won’t have every symptom, but if you are experiencing any of these, you should consider going to your doctor for a checkup. It is better to err on the side of caution. These symptoms may be confused as signs of other health issues. It is much better to go and get an exam and be wrong than to not go in and let your blood pressure get out of control. If left untreated, high blood pressure can lead to heart disease, heart attacks and stroke.

If you think you may have high blood pressure and you aren’t sure if you should go to the doctor, at least use one of the free blood pressure testing stations located in many pharmacies. If the numbers are high, make an appointment with your doctor.

If you are diagnosed with high blood pressure signs and symptoms, you will be asked to do several things. You may need to change your diet and exercise more. You may be asked to lower your salt intake and cut out caffeine. You may need to take medications to lower your blood pressure. These medications may need to be changed frequently at first until your doctor finds one that works for you. If you have diabetes or experience high levels of stress, it is extremely important to watch your blood pressure.

So watch your health. Pay attention to any signs or symptoms you may have and get them checked out before they escalate to something life-threatening.

The American Heart Association estimates that in the United States approximately 73 million people, age 20 years old and older have high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. However, only about 71% of people who have blood pressure even know that they have it. This can be dangerous because high blood pressure can lead to other serious conditions such as stroke and coronary heart disease which can led to heart attack. Many people don’t understand the effects of this condition, particularly the effects of high blood pressure on tendons and joints as well as the kidneys and other organs. This can be dangerous and cause hypertension patients to suffer needlessly.

High blood pressure is the force that blood is pumped through the arteries when the heart beats. This is known as systolic pressure. Diastolic pressure is the force of the blood being pumped through the arteries when the heart is at rest. Hypertension occurs when and adult has a systolic pressure that is 140 mm Hg or greater or a diastolic pressure of 90 mm Hg or greater. Because blood pressure measures the force of the blood moving through the arteries, high blood pressure means that the heart must work extra hard to move the blood through the body. This can lead to pain in the legs as circulation is compromised.

Circulation in the extremities is also compromised due to effects of high blood pressure on tendons and joints stemming from narrowing of the arteries. Conditions such as atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases can cause the blood vessels to narrow which increases blood pressure. Because of this, cholesterol may accumulate in the tendons and joints which can cause inflammation. Inflammation of the Achilles tendon is a common condition that is linked to hypertension. It can cause inflammation and pain in the tendon that is in the back of the ankle.

High blood pressure has also been closely linked to kidney disease. Kidney disease can lead to the build up of excess uric acid in the body which can lead to gout. Because the kidneys are not functioning properly, the uric acid is not adequately expelled from the body. The uric acid then accumulates in the joints, leading to inflammation. Gout generally affects the hands and wrists as well as the knees, ankles, feet and the large joint of the big toe.

Diet, exercise and weight control can go a long way in alleviating the effects of high blood pressure on tendons and joints. It is also helpful to effectively manage high blood pressure and keep it under control. The effects of hypertension on tendons and joints can be painful and inhibit a your quality of life. It can make you a virtual prisoner in your own body, trapped by pain and immobility. It does not have to be that way, though. If you take the crucial steps to manage your high blood pressure, you can reverse the painful conditions that are associated with it. Hypertension can be managed and you don’t have to live with the pain that some of its effects can cause.

High blood pressure can be extremely detrimental to the overall health of an individual. This is a relatively common condition that affects millions of individuals worldwide. Based on recent studies, it has been found that at least one adult in every three experience this condition in the United States alone! Even more scary than this, is that approximately half of these people fail to realize that they have this potentially life threatening medical condition. This is because there are often no symptoms present to indicate there is a problem. By the time that many realize that they do have this condition, it is often too late and damage has been done. Here, you will learn some important facts regarding this condition, as well as some basic high blood pressure remedies that may help you in your fight against this common, “silent killer”.

What is High Blood Pressure?

In order to understand what high blood pressure is, it is important to first understand the basics of general blood pressure. As the blood travels through the body, it is pushed by a natural force. This is referred to as “pressure”. This pressure is created by the heart as it pumps out this important fluid. As it travels through the body, this force is created against the walls of the blood vessels. When an individual experiences the complication of high numbers in pressure, the heart is working excessively harder in order to force the blood to the necessary areas of the body.

What are the Symptoms of High Blood Pressure?

Generally, there are no to only a few symptoms that may be present when blood pressure is high. This is why this medical condition has often been referred to as the “silent killer”. However, if your blood pressure numbers reach a very high level, there are some symptoms that may be experienced. An example of these symptoms includes the following:

•	Problems with the vision

•	Pain in the area of the chest

•	Discovering blood in the urine

•	Headaches that you feel are “severe”

•	Problems when breathing

•	A heartbeat that feels irregular

If you are experiencing these symptoms, it is important to see a doctor as soon as you are able to. You should also ensure that you have your blood pressure checked on a regular basis. Knowing what the numbers mean, and what constitutes as high blood pressure is an important step in catching a problem when it starts. Below are details regarding what numbers are considered high and what numbers are considered normal.

•	Normal readings are considered to be 120/80 and less

•	Prehypertension readings are that of 120/80 – 139/89

•	Individuals who have readings of 140/90 are considered to have high readings

The Complications of High Blood Pressure

There are many complications associated with high blood pressure. These complications can prove to be potentially life threatening. They include:

•	The possibility of a stroke

•	The onset of a heart attack

•	Heart failure

•	Failure in the kidneys

In order to decrease the opportunity for these complications to arise, it is important to prevent the risks of developing high blood pressure when you are able to. For example, being overweight, smoking, getting little to no physical activity, consuming high levels of salt, drinking alcoholic beverages, and high levels of stress may all play a role in the onset of high blood pressure. By ensuring that your risk for this medical disease is reduced, you are taking a proactive role in avoiding the complications associated with this illness.

High Blood Pressure Remedies

There are a number of high blood pressure remedies that you can engage in to lower your numbers and eliminate the possibility of complications arising. It is always important to discuss natural remedies with your physician to ensure that they are right for you, your health, and your lifestyle. This is especially true when they are for the condition of high numbers in blood pressure. One of the first high blood pressure remedies is that which involves your level of physical activity and your diet. It is important to understand that exercising regularly each week is important to your overall health. You should attempt to exercise at least three to four hours weekly. You should also consume foods that are organic and have high amounts of fiber, as well as starch.

If you are in the market for herbal high blood pressure remedies, there are two in particular that seem to be exceptionally promising. The first is called Garlic Vegicaps, and the second is called Arjuna Vegicaps. Both of these natural remedies are effective when it comes to the health and the strength of the heart. In addition to this, these remedies are also effective in regulating the pressure of the blood throughout the body and lowering blood pressure in general. These remedies also play a large role in reducing the opportunity for blood clots to develop within the blood stream.

Conclusion

High blood pressure is a very complicated condition. It is a medical condition that can prove to be potentially life threatening. It is important that you learn the risks that are associated with this condition and take the necessary precautions to remove yourself from the risk group. If you find that you do develop high blood pressure, there are many remedies, such as diet, exercise, and even herbal ingredients that can assist you in the area of heart health.

Many people suffer with high blood pressure and some people don’t even realize that they have high blood pressure. Those that know they have it try to find ways to lower their blood pressure without the use of medication. Unfortunately, sometimes proper diet and exercise does not always help and you do need to seek the advice of a medical professional. But there are things that you can do at home to help lower your blood pressure. Generally there are four rules that apply to lowering your blood pressure on your own, naturally. Those four basic rules would be - keep your weight down, control the amount of stress you have, exercise and of course, eat healthy.

Keep your weight down
It is well known that the more weight you have on your body the more health problems you have. Many people that are overweight find they have high blood pressure. Once they lose the weight their blood pressure problems seem to disappear or drastically decrease. This is one of the most natural ways is that you can help to lower your blood pressure.

Control the amount of stress you have
Many people do not realize that stress can play a big part with high blood pressure. The more stress you have the higher your blood pressure can go. If you find that you’re one of the people that suffer from a great deal of stress, whether it be from personal problems, dealing with family issues or even work-related issues, then you want to find ways to help reduce your stress. Some people look into such things as yoga to help relieve stress. You can even try reading a book which takes your mind off of the other things that are going on around you and can help reduce stress.

Exercise
It is well known that when you have a very sedentary lifestyle you can have more health issues. Just sitting around all the time watching TV or sitting in front of a computer can make your body out of shape. You need to get up and get moving. When you get your blood flowing it helps improve your overall health. So try to incorporate it least 30 minutes of exercise into your day at least three times a week.

Eat Healthy
Everyone knows they should have healthy eating habits, but most of us do not follow that. Unfortunately what we put into our body can affect us greatly health wise. The more fried foods and junk food you eat, the worse off you are. You want to incorporate healthy eating into your diet to keep your body running as it should. With a healthy diet you can help decrease many health issues such as high blood pressure as well as high cholesterol. Check with your doctor before starting any type of diet. This way he or she can help you in choosing the diet that meets your needs without putting the major restrictions on you.

Whether you are concerned about yourself or someone you love, high blood pressure, which is often called the silent killer, can be quite worrisome! When you are pondering a fix for this condition, you might be thinking that there are only chemical ways to combat it, but the truth is, there are many methods which will show you how you can go about lowering blood pressure naturally. If you are looking for solutions which are less dependent on drugs or pills, there are a few that you should think about.

The first thing you should think about when you are looking for a natural way to bring down your blood pressure is potassium. This is one of the most powerful nutrients that your body can use to help you fight off this condition, and you’ll see that not only does it remove waste from your body more efficiently, you’ll find that it also helps your body regulate the pressure in the veins. Whether you want to eat plenty of bananas or get your potassium through fruit shakes, you’ll find that a healthy amount of potassium in your diet can lower your high blood pressure by as much as twenty points.

If you are a smoker with high blood pressure, you’ll find that quitting or cutting back is a great way to think about lowering blood pressure naturally. Essentially, when you smoke, plaque builds up on the walls of your arteries, and you’ll find that that makes it much harder for your body to get the blood pumping. If you quit smoking, you’ll find that the first few weeks are quite difficult, not only with regards to nicotine withdrawal, but also with regards to your body adjusting.

Garlic, besides being very tasty, is a great way to lower your blood pressure. While you can always just cook with plenty of it, you can also get it as a supplement. A garlic supplement will also contain parts from the bulb as well as the cloves, which are idea when it comes to helping prevent heart problems and for lowering cholesterol. Garlic is also a natural way to keep yourself healthier and less susceptible to colds and flus, which also cause your body to work harder.

Finally, remember that apple cider vinegar, which is rich with many vitamins as well as containing potassium and magnesium has helped many people treat their high blood pressure. It can lower your blood pressure as well as act as a tasty condiment, so take a look and see what it can do.

There are many options when it comes to lowering blood pressure naturally, so make sure that you take a look at all of them and find out which one is perfect for you!

Easing Hypertension With the Pineapple Diet!

If you or someone you love is experiencing the stress associated with hypertension, you already know that it is no walk in the park and you are probably looking around for ways to bring your blood pressure back down. What you might not know, however, is that you can combat hypertension quite easily; all you need to do is take a look at the benefits that are offered by the pineapple diet. Hypertension is a condition that occurs when there is too much force being exerted on the artery walls while the blood is circulation.

There are many things that doctors will recommend to help you combat hypertension, all of which involve living a healthier life and continuing to get checked regularly. At the most basic, you’ll find that a higher amount of potassium in your diet combined with a smaller sodium intake can be instrumental in making sure that your blood pressure drops to normal, and this is where a pineapple increase in your diet can come in. You’ll find that pineapple not only contributes a great deal of vitamin C to your system, it also has a large amount of potassim in it. You’ll find that 1 cup of pineapple will have 1 mg of sodium, while providing your body with 195 mg of potassium.

When you think about pineapple, you might already be concerned with how long it will take to prepare. The truth is, there are many ways to get the pineapple diet working for you without suffering for it in time or money. The next time you go to the supermarket, take some time to browse the canned foods aisle. While fresh organic pineapple has the best results when it comes to nutrients, you’ll find that canned pineapple, as long as it has not been overly saturated with sugar, can do a great deal for you as well.

You should also take into account the fact that a pineapple intensive diet can be a great deal better for your waistline as well. There is a high correlation between obesity and high blood pressure and when it comes to eating pineapple with your meals, you’ll be killing two birds with one stone! You’ll find that pineapple, due to its natural sweetness, will cut down on cravings for sweets, and you’ll also notice that by adding it to plainer foods like yogurt or cottage cheese, you can make them more attractive.

If you are suffering from hypertension, you’ll find that there are many things that you can do to take care of it. One of the most enjoyable things, however, is to take a look and see what pineapple can do for you!

Whether high blood pressure runs in your family, or you have recently had a troubling report from your doctor about this issue as it relates to yourself, high blood pressure can be indicative of several problems, as well as a real issue in its own right. Asking what are the causes of high blood pressure will get you a multitude of answers, and you’ll find that to find the one that pertains to you, you will have to have some knowledge of your own medical history. Take a look below for some of the most common causes of high blood pressure.

First, be aware that there are two types of high blood pressure, which is also known as hypertension. Primary hypertension accounts for more than 90% of all high blood pressure concerns and with this type, the cause for the problem is unknown, though there are several contributing factors. Secondary hypertension, which is rarer, is high blood pressure that is due to a very specific medical cause, and this is often easily diagnosed. Causes for secondary hypertension include pregnancy, alcohol addiction and thyroid problems.

One factor for high blood pressure can be your family; high blood pressure is frequently genetic. If one or both of your parents have experienced this condition, you’ll find that there is a good chance that they have passed this on. Ask your parents about this and ask whether or not they have had problems related to this condition in the past. This is a good way to get an idea of how your health will look in the future.

You’ll also find that stress can raise your blood pressure. Have you ever noticed that your blood pressure reading is always higher at the doctor’s than when you take it at home? Many people are quite nervous in the doctor’s office, and they will find that they cannot relax. More seriously, stress can have a constant raising effect on your blood pressure, something that a doctor will take quite seriously.

When you are asking what are the causes of high blood pressure, you’ll find that there are several factors which can contribute. You’ll find, for instance, that obesity is often seen as a cause or at least a correlating factor when it comes to high blood pressure; people who are obese have a two to six times greater a chance to have high blood pressure. People who eat too much salt or who have a predisposition to be easily affected by it will also have high blood pressure. Salt can cause your veins to contract, making the blood pressure rise.

When you are thinking of the causes of high blood pressure, remember that for the most part, there is no quick easy answers. Remember that when it doubt you should always consult a doctor; high blood pressure is no laughing matter!
