I was looking at one of my favourite daily reads - The Cats & Rocking Chairs Blog, which is hosted by the beautiful Morven, when I seen this outfit post.This is easily one of the cutest outfits that I have seen in months. I adore the lace cardigan - sadly, I jsut checked and it is sold out on Pretty Sunday. If anyone knows where I can get a cardigan similar to this one - or anywhere where this one can be purchased- please let me know!!
Morven's sense of style is amazing - her's is a site that I visit on a regular basis and am always inspired by her outfits. Plus the belt with the feather detail on it is just the perfect accessory to this outfit.

My New Favourite Thing

Apple iPad 2 -in white -16gb Wifi Only

If you follow me on Twitter then you may have noticed about three weeks ago I got very VERY excited.. over the arrival of my iPad!! And the excitement was worth it. It is by far my new favourite toy. It is so sleek and cute, and so handy for using when travelling on buses, trains etc.

I decided to go for the Apple iPad 2 Wifi only iPad in white. I don't need the 3G version as I have a personal MiFi so Wifi is all I will ever needed. Of course I just had to go for a Pink Smart cover - can i just say the Smart covers are amazing! If you are buying an iPad then they are definitely worth paying that little bit more for. I did further treat myself... I brought the Marc by Marc Jacobs iPad Sleeve from Harvey Nichols, and I love it!! I will do a post soon on my favourite apps for the iPad ( as you can see from the first image, the Hello Kitty wallpaper app is already in use!), similar to the post I did on my favourite iPhone apps.

If there are any apps that you love or would recommend then I would love to hear from you - I am always on the lookout for more fun ones to install!

So I have been absent recently from my blog, as my life outside the blogging world has just been crazy busy - the highlight being seeing Take That in Concert! I really have been out quite a bit with my friends, and have been away for a few weekends as well, so the blog has taken a back seat to other things. But now I am ready to get right back into it.
Here are some images from the Take That concert that was on in Croak Park in Dublin- it was honestly the best concert that I think I have been to, and I have been to many, from P!nk to Bon Jovi, from Eminem to The Streets, from The Prodigy to the Kings Of Leon. The show in itself was breathtaking, and when they played the old classics I welled up :-) None of us could talk on the Sunday because of all the singing that was done!

Though P!nk probably was a VERY close second last Summer! She was amazing plus we were in the pit at the front and she is one of my favourite artists, I just love her whole attitude to life & the fact that she just kicks ass and takes no shit from no one!Also she is a lucky lady, Carey is a wee hotty, hmmm tatts and bikes!!

Yes we really were this close !! :-)

There have been a few tweaks on this blog, and my Tumblr has become a love of mine. Please check it out here - it's called Floralesque and serves as an inspiration board of sorts, and is an extension of the Wordless Whispers series that I had on my blog here.
I have also set up an About Me page, where links to my blogs are all together. It is easier for my Twitter account as I can just link there instead of trying to put my blog addresses on the info. section!
I have been debating for quite a while on which direction I want this blog to go, I love high fashion and day to day fashions, but a side of me really wants to explore... wait for it... preppy fashions and the preppy lifestyle. There is a side of me that is very preppy at heart, I love boat shoes and monogrammed totes - days of sipping pink lemonade beside the waterfront - that would be an ideal day to me. So I will be launching a new blog that will be very preppy specific, it will be from an Irish viewpoint as well - and it will be aptly named Ribbons and BowTies :-) It is a work in progress and hopefully will be launching within the next 2 weeks!

In other news, I cannot wait for this movie!! :-) So excited!!

There may also be a few hauls on the way... :-)

This shoot is from Vogue, Paris in 2006. It just oozes old school glamour. Shoots like this just make me yearn for the 40's and 50's when there were real movie stars, who were glamourous and beautiful and always dressed as if going to an awards show. I love it.

Is Summer really here?

I want to be on this tropical island! Irish Summers are well generally not sun filled. They are generally sunny for a few days anad then rain comes back with a vengence!! :-) Yes people if you plan to visit Ireland please bring a brolly! This shoot is just so mouth watering, the colours, the cloudless sky and the sunshine!! I jsut want to be on a secret dessert island and stroll by the sea and dig my toes into the warm sand.

Nicole Richie looks fabulously feminime in the SS Issue of The Block Magazime. I love the Burberry Prorsum jacket in the above pic!! I have to say that when I first seen this shoot I didn't even recognize her. She looks so beautiful and I love the girliness of the whole Shoot. More images below :) She wore pieces Burberry, Prada, Marchesa and Dior!

Nicole Richie looks very Marilyn Monroe-esque in this shoot for Russia's Harpers Bazaar. I love the 50's/60's styling and the very Batman styling pow bubbles. The whole shoot is just fun and fabulously styled. I love the bright colours and the image above of the close up is just beautiful (also, for some reason it just reminds me of a Benefit make up advertisement!). I just wanted to share this with those who hadn't seen it as its just adorable.

I was googling floaty dresses and came across an image (above), that then lead me to Nana's Closet. The pieces are really intricate and beautifully tailored with tasteful embellishments. Dina Said is the designer behind the beautiful designs. She is based in Cairo, Egypt. The below are from her Spring Collection - called 'Romantic Army'. They are really subtle, and sophisticated designs.

What is Nana’s Closet inspired by?
It’s inspired by clothes that will last in your closet for more than a season or two; something that’s timeless. Whenever I open my grandmother’s closet, you’ll always find pieces you can still relate to now, not only is it relevant but also it’s still in very good condition. If you look at the finishing of the product you can tell that it’s handmade and that it’s been made to sustain time and washing and trends, worn by multiple generations of women in a family.
So I’m inspired by clothes that are well made and that have great taste and I know when to stop when it comes to [embellishing] clothes. I know when to stop from putting too much or too little. I want to put just the right amount of details on a product to last. Source.

My new Love has arrived! I have wished for and wanted a YSL Arty Ring for so long. I fell in love with these rings quite a long time ago and could never really justify buying one for myself! But then about a week ago I jsut went ah well I had some money just sitting there that was not really serving a purpose, not for bills, savings or anything else and Net A Porter were offering free shipping..... so it was a sign I needed it!! :-)

Daria Werbowy was shot by Cass Turner for the Dossier Journel (Spring 2011), and I love this photo shoot. This shoot was actually shot in her own New York Loft. I love the carefree nature of this photoshoot. I think that the sun over the last few days has really given me the need to escape and be carefree on a beach somewhere!

Zoe Love... They're BACK

Much like the YSL Arty Ring, the Sam Edelman Zoe Boots have been blogged about and blogged about, but I still love them. They are back in stock on Nasty Girl. They were released and sold out in 2007, then released in 2009 (First shipment sold out in 2 days), and now back in stock again on Nasty Girl. Not sure why I still like them... they would be super versatile but are so old school now! They can be styled really cutely though...

They became so popular, an overnight sensation, because Mary Kate wore a pair of Balenciaga leather ankle boots, and these Zoe boots are so similar. It was crazy because once they sold out in 2007, these mocks of the Balenciaga's, you could get them for like $800 on EBay!! Nuts!!

Havaiana Love

I have just done a post on my two recent shoes loves... but I also ADORE Havaianas!! I live in Flips Flops during the summer, and my ones of choice are always Havanians. They never cause rubbing between my toes and always are comfy. They work so well with so many outfits, jeans, maxi skirts, shorts and so much more. Trust me, they go with everything.

They were originally made in 1962, and they kept making them as they kept their shape. They are super durable and come in all the colours of the rainbow and an assortment of mixes as well - just like a bag of pic'n'mix :-) The Zori, a Japanese style sandal, similar to those worn by geishas, was the inspiration for the creation of the Havaiana. Havaianas remained a classic staple to their native Brazil for 40 years until in 1998, when a new model was created especially for the World Cup, featuring a tini Brazilian flag on each strap

They are one item of clothing that seems to span across the world as comfy, affordable yet can be chic as well. Celebrities are often seen in their Havaianas and it is a rare item that we can all afford that celebrities also love!

So I went a little Crazy shopping on Saturday... well not completely crazy but I am supposed to be on a spending ban so should have really just not gone into town! I haven't done a haul post on here before but since I brought clothes, handbags and a few make up bits I thought that I would share! :-)

This top in apricot with the flowers is by far my favourite! I have been wanting this for AGES and it sold out really quickly. But when I was wandering around my local Topshop I spotted 3 on the rack! I was so delighted, the girl behind the counter was even saying how cute it was and people had been asking about it. I have this random idea in my head for this top- black crochet pants and Jeffery Campbell Lita boots! I just love how summery this top is. Different than what I normally wear but I am really excited, so now the hunt for the perfect trousers begins....

So this is turning into Quite a long post! I needed some Summer colours so love these Barry M colours! In second pic - Dislike the Revlon 24 hr stay lipstick colour - does not stay on and will not be a repurchase. Same with the mascara - will def. try this again but so far I ma not impressed. Like the Body Shop stain on my lips. but not so much on my cheeks - will have to play with this one a bit more! The next 3 items (Loreal Glam Shine Lipgloss in No 154 Very Blush, MAC Viva Glam Lipstick in Cyndi and MAC Shimmer Blush in Sunbasque) are all repurchases. The lipsgloss is a stable in my hand bag and I tend to go through this colour quite quickly. The Cyndi lipstick is a favourite of mine and I like the subtlety of the colour and Sunbasque is my go to blusher! The No 7 purchase is just one to try out!

These are a few accessories that I brought.

And finally some Shoes! All of these apart from The Bright Pink Havanianas are from Pennys (Primark!) I just needed some cute little pumps for work!
