If you spent the time and customized the app drawer in ADW, organizing all your apps in to seperate groups, you can link to these groups via a shortcut from the main screen.

You can add a shortcut to any of the groups you created by adding a launcher shortcut to any of these groups. Adding a shortcut to a group is similar to creating a folder, except you don't have to manually set up and add all the apps you want into the folder. Your group is already set up.

Clicking on a shortcut will open up a pop up menu instead of opening up the group in the app drawer.

How to choose a custom icon for a folder in ADW

I recently made a tutorial on how to assign a custom icon to a folder in Go Launcher EX. This is the ADW version of the same tutorial.

ADW is a similar launcher for the Android OS, and one that I personally use. In this video tutorial, I will be trying to save some space in my dock by putting the two camera icons into a single folder, and putting that folder in the dock.

If I had a camera group created in my app drawer that contained the two camera apps, and only the two camera apps, I could simple create a shortcut to the app drawer group, and add that to the dock. But my camera group has a lot of other camera apps, and I only want to have these two camera apps show up when I open the pop up folder.

I was checking out all the old videos I made in the past and came across this one again.

Some of the comments STILL surprise me... Especially the one where the idiot tells me that my video is very mis-leading... because you know, having the word "spoof" in the title was evidently not clear enough for him.

It wasn't just him. Apparently, a lot of people didn't get it....

Go figure.

Anyways, I just wanted to share this again just for the hell of it.

Developers Test Credit Card Numbers

Here's something I know all of you will love, a list of developers credit card numbers. No, these are not stolen credit card numbers from developers, rather, a list of numbers developers use for the purposes of testing applications with.

These are not actually real working credit card numbers, so don't be an idiot and try to use them to purchase shit off the internet.

"So why would I find this list useful ?" you say ?

Just because you can't buy shit with it, doesn't mean you can't use them for other stuff. There are ton of uses for this gem if you just use your imagination.

One example I can throw out there is using it for verification purposes. There isn't any set address linked to any of these numbers, so if you can use them to say that you are from anywhere. Lets say for example, you are from Canada, and you need to verify that you are living in the States by entering your credit card information. Pick any number on the list to use during the sign up / verification process, and your good to go.

To be eligible for Amazon's One Free Paid Android App a Day offer, you have to verify that you are from the United States. Me being from Canada, signed up using one of the numbers on the list, and VOILA... I now get a free paid app a day from Amazon.

You know those free trial offers out there that won't charge your credit card, but still require you to enter your credit card information ? This list worked for some of them services out there for me.

I'm sure you'll find tons of uses for yourself. At the very least, all my Canadian readers can at least enjoy Amazon's one free app a day offer now.

Using Freedom to make free in-app purchases

Quick Summary :
We will be using Freedom in an Android game, and making a free "in-app" purchase. Accompanying this article, will be a video demonstrating Freedom in action.

What :
Freedom is an Android app that you can use to make free in-app purchases for most applications / games available for the Android device. The video in this article is using Freedom 0.8.1 to make free in-app purchases in the game, Legend: Blood & Glory.

You can find the current version of Freedom here.

How:
To start Freedom, we will need to adjust the Date & Time. Turn off automatic updates, and select Moscow as your time zone. Also, if you have a firewall set up (which you should), make sure to allow Freedom to access the internet. All purchases will be made through the Google Play Store app, but Freedom needs access to the internet before Google Play is being ran through Freedom.

After you start Freedom, hit the menu key, and select "start" to start Freedom. If you don't see the start option, and only see stop instead, then Freedom has already started, and you can continue on.

Select the app you want to start from the list. You may get a message telling you "This program cannot be free". If you get this message, directly after you get the message, open up your app drawer, and start the app from there.

In the app you have open, navigate to where ever it is that gives you the option to buy something. This has to be done from with in the application. The Google Play Store will open up to finalize your purchase. Make sure that "FreeCard xxx ..." is selected as your payment option. If you select any of the payment options you saved from before, those credit cards will be charged.

Hit accept after you've made sure that FreeCard is selected, and you're done.
