There is a plane, called the Switchblade or Bird of Prey, that has a very similar look with wings that move to three different positions for different functions. Straight out for bombing, swept forward for maneuverability, and fully forward tucked at the sides for speeds up to Mach 3.

1 problem with this technology, it only works if ur looking at it from 1 side. if u place an observer on a flanking maneuver, the tank is history. good luck fighting a war when the enemy is always in front of u.

Thanks for trying, you spelled efficient wrong. If we have the technology and resources to create laser firing turrets on airplanes, we have the technology and resources to alter something we have already created (specifically the avionics) so it can run a magnetic field while maintaining control and communication stability. If this isn't possible, then it is possible to make a deflective field made out of SOMETHING (probably not plasma, tbh.), so there is no point in arguing about it anyway, which concludes my comment.

The "rumour" that the iPad doesn't multitask is not really a rumour at all since developers have access to the SDK (which is basically the same as for the iPhone) and are well aware of exactly what that iPad's capabilities are.
Like the iPhone, iPad can only run one user application at once. That means that when you go back to the home screen, whatever application you were running quits, so it is impossible to run two applications simultaneously, or have one application doing something in the background while another is doing something in the foreground.
For the most part this limitation is a non-issue for ordinary users. The kind of situation where it's annoying is if you want to listen to say, Spotify streaming music whilst browsing your email, or have an MSN chat open in the corner of the screen whilst working on a spreadsheet. These things are not possible on the iPad.
The tradeoff, and the reason why Apple has made this decision, is that because only one app runs at once it can use the whole power of the processor and consequently iPad (and iPhone, iPod Touch, etc) all run blazingly fast compared to other devices with comparable hardware specs.

Yes,,, already transparent,,, our only major use for transparent screens would be for mobile phones or to get rid of frames on computers and tv's all together... i think contrast might have a part to play in this... setting the contrast can make the polarizers to not be so intense when blacking out... maybe go for a more gray matter as it will probably make screens see through,,,, this would work well wh sun glasses if it were possible.
