Hello Blogger fans and followers of this blog.

This blog has not been updated for a long time and I know that this is now really cool :) And therefore I am making some changes to this blog and I promise that I will pay more attention to it in the future. This blog still gets many visits every day and it actually generate some revenue so it will be a really wise decision to update this blog more often, add new cool features and pay more attention to it. I can increase my earnings and you can get more awesome and helpful articles that will surely help you with your Blogger experience.

I changed the template back to the default Blogger template because I'm working on my own template that will be published on this blog sometime today. I will add some cool features, sharing plugins and I will publish some very interesting and helpful articles that I've written for this blog and are waiting on my desktop.

You may have seen the zoom effect for images on various sites and wordpress blogs. Now you can add 'Zoom Effect for Images' to your Blogger Blog. Follow this simple tutorial to learn how.

Step 1. Go to your dashboard > Layout > Edit HTML > Expand Widget Templates

Step 2. Search for </head> (type Crtl+F for fast search within the code)

Step 3. Add following code just before </head> tag.

10 Ways to make your Blog more Attractive to Advertisers

This post comes from Chad Randall, the Director of Sales for b5media and the author of AdvertiseSpace. Chad has been working in the online advertising industry for over 6 years now, and has personally sold more than $5,000,000 in online ads. I figured he’d be a good person to ask about how to make your blog attractive to advertisers.

1. Have an “Advertise with Us” Banner on your site

This is the single most important issue. It should click to an Advertising information page and have an easy way to contact you for more information and rates. Key points: Make it a graphical image or a tab. Keep it above the fold.

2. Keep the ads on your site specific to your site

Don’t have smiley ads and wallpaper ads if your site is site is about mobile phones.

3. Show them the banners

If you currently have no paid placements on your site, put up house ads or partner ads in the same spot you would run a paid spot. (A house ad refers to banners for other products or sites that you or your company own)

4. Throw up a free bonus ad.

By putting a free advertisement on your site, you may not only encourage similar ads or competitors to that product, but the company you added for free may decide to advertise with you. Ask for full disclosure of the performance of the campaign in return. (Total clicks, total purchases etc. ) Key points. Put the free bonus up with a direct URL without tracking tags or affiliate tags.

5. Show your site stats.

You need to show at least the basics for site statical information: Monthly unique visitors and total number of impressions are the 2 key ones. Other less important can be Google PR & Alexa rank.

6. User demographic information. Know your audience.

The bare minimum is Male/Female % and average age of your readers. Other potentially useful information includes geographic, HHI, single/married, number of kids. etc. How do you get this info? You can do site polls, survey’s, or get more detailed stats from ComScore or Quantcast.com

7. Have an ‘About Us’ section.

Clearly explain who you are and what your site is about. And also why you are an ‘authority’ on what you are writing about, and why anyone should care about what you have to say.

8. Don’t use Google AdSense on your site.

OK, this could be the most painful one for most people especially if you are generating a few hundred bucks a month from it already. But Google ad sense devalues your site and makes it look unprofessional. You have to ask yourself, “Do I want some real revenue from my site or Google’s table scraps.”

9. Keep your blog on topic.

If you are all over the map in regards to topics about which you talk about, advertisers won’t know if they are a good fit for your site.

10. Keep your blog professional.

If you are talking about your cat, (Matt Cutts), ranting about your drive to work, swearing or bashing every product you can think about, it will scare away advertisers.

Blogger has been adding new features to improve the looks and usability of the blogs. Blogger is now testing out a new Social Sharing icon set consisting of Email, Blogger, Twitter, Facebook and Google buzz buttons. The widget looks simple and elegant with some cool mouse over effects. These Sharing buttons are now available in your regular dashboard. If you need to take a peek at these new sharing icons, then take a look at the bottom of this post (and try sharing it). :)

Tweet Box is AnyWhere Application, which allows you to add a 140 chart Tweet Box onto your blog. This is truly a great tool to add to your Blogger blog and let your visitors to share your posts and links. You'll get more traffic and you will increase the popularity of your blog. Not to mention increasing the income from advertising.

Put this widget to your Blogger blog and expand your blogging network to Twitter to receive more traffic and spread the word about your blog on Twitter!

How to add the Tweet Box on a Blogger Blog?

1. Go to the AnyWhere Developers Page and create an Application there with your blog details.

Make Sure that you have checked the Read & Write Option when you Register your Application

2.When you complete the signup process, you will get some JavaScript codes, with a unique API Key

Copy out the JavaScript from there(the code in the red box) as shown in this Screenshot.

3. Now Login to your Blogger Dashboard and go to the Edit HTML Tab under Design and click “Expand your Widget Templates”

4. Look for

</head>

and paste the copied Twitter JavaScript just above that line and save the template.

5. Now look for

<data:post.body/>

and immediately below that paste the following JavaScript Code and save your template. (Editable parts are shown in red)

Bloggers and readers always like related posts of articles they like. With this information and widget, our blog becomes more interesting and informational. And that way, we inrease the popularity of our blog and we can drive more traffic to it. Kaj pa če bi obstajala funkcija oz. widget, ki bi te objave poiskal samodejno ter jih predstavil s sliko? Seveda, to bi bilo super. In na srečo tak widget tudi obstaja. It's called LinkWithin. It work on many blogging services, such as Blogger, Wordpres, TypePad and some others. All you have to do is add this widget to your blog. It's free and easy to install. I wrote quick and simple guide how to do this!

How to add LinkWithin widget to your Blogger blog? It's easy and simple!

1. Sign in to Blogger.

2. Go to http://www.linkwithin.com/learn.

3. Enter the link of your blog, your e-mail adress and the service you use for blogging (Blogger, Wordpress, Typad). Choose how many related posts do you want your new widget to show (width). If your blog has a dark background than click on the option "My blog has light text on a dark background". To finish the widget creation click on the Get Widget button.

4. A new window will open, titled "Install Widget on ...". Click on Install Widget. Now the program asks you where to install this new widget. Choose your website or blog and click Add Widget.

5. And now just add this widget to the template (design) of your Blogger blog. In my case it's at the bottom of the template (look at the picture below!).

All done!

With this button you can let readers and visitors of your to easily share your posts and content with their friends on Facebook. That can really boost your blog traffic and your blog popularity! Because the button is hosted by Facebook it will shows to all visitors, if they're subscribed or not. For the visitors that are signed to Facebook during reading your blog, the button will shows their friends that already liked your posts.

So....let's install this button in 4 simple steps!

I. Sign in to Blogger Dashboard > Design > Edit HTML > Expand Widget Templates

II. Now searh for the code below (Ctrl+F)

IV. Now save your template (Save Template) and you're done! Facebook Like button is added to your blog and your blog posts!
