I think this is one of my most favorite shoots to date. And I'm not just saying this because they're family! Check out the little guys cheeks.........so precious. Like I said before, there's nothing better than taking pictures in the fall! Just look at this gorgeous family!

I read recently that October is to photographers just as April is to accountants. And really, this shouldn't come as a surprise. With the gorgeous golds, reds, and vibrant yellows in the trees, creating the perfect bokah, who wouldn't want that as a background in a photo? Personally, I can't get enough of the fall foliage and snap pictures of my little one outside, no matter what the venue! Here he is today, giggling in a pile of leaves. Perfect.

Senior Session

You'd never know it by looking at these pictures, but this blue eyed senior was not super excited about having his picture taken. I suppose if I was a 17 year old, I could probably think of about a million other things I'd rather be doing on a Sunday afternoon. But he was an excellent subject, so polite, and easy going....his shoot could not have gone better!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to participate in United Way Week with GE Aviation here in Madisonville! Hilary Lepa Photography donated a photo session with a special print package for a wonderful cause! From what I hear, there was a little bit of a bidding war going on! Love it!

Lucky for me, last night's rain left this little puddle on our patio table. Since I'm always taking pictures of anything and everything, I already had my camera in hand when caught this reflection out of the corner of my eye. I thought it looked pretty cool.

We could not have chosen a better day for this family shoot! Comfortable temperatures, warm sunlight, and blue skys created the perfect setting for our session this past Sunday! It was wonderful meeting this family and I loved the energy (and smiles) they brought along with them! They could not have made my job any easier!

Engagement Session

I had a wonderful time taking photos of this happy couple this past weekend at Chagrin Falls in Ohio. They could not have chosen a more beautiful setting for their special session. Another perfect addition to the setting was pretty Miss P., turning this engagement session into a family session! Lots of fun on this photo shoot and thank goodness we beat the heat! Thank you guys!

Yup, it's a plane! Last weekend we stopped by the Owensboro Air Show to check out the planes. I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but it was really cool. My son loves anything with an engine, so this was a big hit with him. It was a gorgeous Saturday afternoon!

This little kitty has been hanging around our house non stop this week. She's awfully friendly and an excellent model. She looks for cozy spots along our house with some shade and sunlight and naps all afternoon.

Another picture for my little backyard series. My son loves nature and has taken to smelling flowers everywhere we go. And I'm not just talking real flowers; I'm talking pictures of flowers in books, grocery ads, artificial flowers in stores. You get the picture. He's awesome!

Backyard Bliss!

As promised (even though we missed last week) some images from our very own backyard. You can find my son and I up to something interesting and adventureous anytime of the day, and early this morning we went hunting for rocks. Still in our jammies, we pounced upon some unsuspecting rocks and studied them for a while. Just as I expected, this only lasted for about four minutes and then we moved on to something else. This time.....bubbles.

This little guy is the most adorabale, and easy going 3 month old I've ever met! Loveable and huggable, he's just the sweetest thing around! Special thanks to his wonderful Mommy for letting me hang out with him this past weekend! Love you N!

I have to admit, I'm pretty excited about my new Canon 430EX II Speedlite Flash! An awesome birthday present from my husband for sure. I didn't waste any time testing it out and took a few pictures this afternoon of my son to show the difference between my camera flash and the Speedlite. I'm pretty sure I don't have to tell you which is which. This is amazing for portraits, indoor photography, or just making any picture pop!

Not the best pictures, but you get the point!
