The next meeting of Hilton Precinct will be held in the Hilton PCYC Art Room commencing at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 18th June 2019.

Next meeting will be Tuesday 21st of August at 7pm at the PCYC Hilton in the AM Pardini Room. Hope to see you there!

On the Agenda…….. We have the WA Police in attendance from Palmyra Police Station as Hilton is serviced from this station.

The Senior Sergeant will explore police data for the suburb from the previous financial year and hear your community questions and concerns.

Hilton Precinct Community Morning Tea

Hilton Precinct is hosting a Community Morning tea!

The event co-coincides with Hilton Harvest Community Garden’s Buds n Blooms program – a weekly Wednesday intergenerational gardening group! The group invites new elders and senior members to join.

Hilton Community members are asked to meet and bring or invite an older neighbour to this event – although it’s open to everyone.

Mayor Brad Petit will be joining us until 10:45am as will Councillor’s Hannah Fitzhardinge, Sam Wainwright and Jeff McDonald.

Come along, meet and chat with your council representatives and bring your neighbours to celebrate our Hilton Community!

Tea/ Coffee and morning tea from our local eateries provided!

No Alcohol Event Dec 18, Karaoke Christmas Carols

I am posting this exchange as there are now very bureaucratic and strict rules regarding alcohol and the Hilton Community Centre. The only way we can have alcohol at events is to go to great expense to employ two security guards and a person who has a certification for responsible service of alcohol. All these are too expensive for a precinct group. The hall has become a bureaucratic nightmare and presents a rather unfriendly place.

Can you also confirm that you will require use of the tennis courts for parking and that you will appoint a parking attendant to ensure safety on the night.

Can you confirm these details as soon as possible so I can arrange the issue of a swipe card .We have cancelled your previous swipe since you reported that it could not be found.

Dear Aileen,

I cannot confirm that people may not bring alcohol, but I will prevent them actually drinking the alcohol at the event. You know we will be finishing before 10 p.m. And yes we will have someone guide the parking. I am going to post your email onto freospace that is the best I can do to publicise the halls rules regarding alcohol.

Hey Hey Hey!! Christmas comes alive with Karaoke Christmas Carols Night.

Tuesday December 18, at the Hilton Progress Hall, 7-930 pm, the precinct group will hold a karaoke night.

All Hilton Lovers, friends and family could to bring a light supper and share in the Christmas spirit. Sing your lungs out in a big group and the night will be videoed. Individual performances for the brave- hearted welcome too!

I hope we’d be able to dress the Xmas tree and post letters to Santa for last minute requests. Wish you will be there in numbers.

Grandparents Day Picnic

Grandparents, parents and children of ages welcome.

Meeting 16th October

It was unanimously decided that a week night is preferable for the precinct meetings and that the third Tuesday of the month should remain the date.

The breakfast meeting was poorly subscribed but we did get two new volunteers both enthusiastic and quality participants.

Our next meeting on the date above, 16th October will start at 7 pm and I hope that many will attend.
