It has really been bugging me than I couldn't find the lyrics yet for the new Itou Kanako single "Sky-Clad Kansokusha (スカイクラッドの観測者)" so I just did it myself.

Its been ages since I put anything up here. Guess it seems I don't have the devotion to keep a constant upkeep on this thing.

I got a very nice influx of new music of the past week. I thought I would share the goods because some of this stuff I just cannot keep to myself.

Aoi Hana by color bottle

This is the single for the Casshern SINS opening song. I am just in love with the vocals. The guitar work is also very pretty and makes your heart feel like it's melting. This single brought me a lot of calm; I imagined the jam sessions that happened while the songs were being created because the beat just really resonates.

Monochrome no Kiss by SID

I have a great love for this band!! They really know how the grab and hold an audience. I am not a but Visual Kei fan, but their stuff is on the more mild side so I cling to it. "Monochrome no Kiss" is the opening song for the anime Kuroshitsuji. I am very pleased with how this single turned out and I absolutely LOVE the second track. It is a bit more jazzy, with more of a pop flare with the electric guitar playing the main melody. This compared to "Monochrome" which has more of a Spanish sound to it.

F.D.D. by Itou Kanako

Itou Kanako has had a very good year when it comes to single releases; this one is the sixth. This single is the opening to Chaos Head and Itou definitely put a lot of personal expression into this one. Itou vocals are some of the most unique and this single is down as one of my favorites this year along with her other from February, "Heartbreaking Romance" (opening to Hatenkou Yuugi).

Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto ~Natsu no Sora~ Original Soundtrack by Haketa Takefumi

I finally decided to get this album and I must say I is probably one of my favorite anime soundtracks ever. The music places you in a world that is built on the emotional, whimsical and magical, all while evoking the folk sounds of Ireland and England. All this and more because some of the tracks are very rock influenced; there is even an electric track. The music makes you want to do a jig. I know that sounds like something many mat not like, but trust me, it is amazing! Here are some of my favorite tracks.

The Fall....Let It Begin [Anime Portion Continued]

Well, I kind of failed at doing part two on this post. Life has been pretty crazy. Midterms.

Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae

This season has started out as quite the mystery. At the end of second season it seemed as if everything was over. How could thing keep going if Enma Ai was in Hell and not coming back. Well, it would seem that she is, to some extent, back at her usual gig after a hot vacation. Except now instead of having an actual body she possesses a school girl who unfortunately bears witness to the horrors of revenge dealt out by Ai and her companions.
This season seems to have new mystery attached to it and new acts of hatred that make you hate the human race. Why I watch such a depressing show is beyond me, but how can you not be interested to a psychological extent.

ef - a tale of melodies

So far I have not been totally blown away by this season of ef. Based on the second game of the series, ef- the latter tale, I was hoping for a bit more. The first season really captivated me, but this current season is leaving me feeling like the really cool art style is just lost. I am really glad to get to understand Yuuko's past, but this season is really lacking to me. Hope fully it will get better.

Vampire Knight Guilty

Yay for season two of every girls favorite shoujo plot! I am just as pleased with this season so far as I was last season. Kaname is still just as cool and Zero is just as hot (I don't like manga Zero but anime Zero is yummy)! The opening credits at very very nice, and as you can tell by the fact I dedicated an entire post to the ON/OFF single, I really really liked the song. Animation style is quite nice and rather original. I won't go into detail on it since if you are watching this season you probably watched last season and know what I am talking about since you probably heard it all before.
I was rather upset that the anime cut out the other pureblood from the vampire gathering in episode 2. She was really pretty and in the manga it added a good amount of say "competition" for Yuki in her longing for Kaname. Oh well. To last to change it.
I have watched at least one subbing of the show from all groups with it on their projects docket and have come to the conclusion that Shoku-dan is still the best subber of the show. They are not the fastest in getting episodes out but with all the shows airing this season plus stuff still being released from last season, patience is necessary.

Chaos Head

One of the best shows featuring a crazy main character in a long time. I am very very happy will how this show is evolving. The last true horror show I watched was Higurashi no Naka Koro ni and Higurashi no Naka Koro ni Kai and this new slice of life horror story falls into the same category 100%. Who knew an otaku could have such vivid delusion. The really funny thing is though that it isn't his delusions of seeing a supposed friend and classmate nailing someone to an ally wall that freaks me out, it is the fact that he really true believes that his favorite anime character lives, talks and comforts him in his room that really gives me the jitters.
Chaos Head: mystery, otaku lifestyle, horror and school life. What could be better?

Hakushaku to Yousei

This shoujo anime is totally adorable!!! Earl and Fairy can make any girl swoon; I honestly can't believe I haven't had a nosebleed yet while watching this show! If you liked Ouran High School Host Club, Perfect Girl Evolution, or Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, I highly recommend getting into Earl and Fairy.
Lydia can see and talk to fairy and other magical beings which has lead her into the profession of being a Fairy Doctor. The story takes place in turn of the century Europe. Edgar, an Earl, is out in search of what he calls his birthright, the legendary sword that will allow him to claim back his life of wealth and fortune that was striped from him years before. With the help of his trusted companion, Edgar kidnaps, rescues and hires Lydia for she skills and they adventure together while being chased by a mad scientist and villain in this reverse harem show. Sounds silly, I know, but if your a girl how likes to looks a pretty boys and need a show to make you giggle, this is the one for you.

Ga-Rei -Zero-

This show has me completely lost. It is very nice looking though, with a large amount of CGI.
A friend recommended it to me and I am very glad he did. The action is really really great. Plot starts to make more sense by episode 3, so if you'd decide to watch it, be patient.

Nodame Cantabile: Paris Chapter

This short season of Nodame follows the plot laid out in the live action specials. Just as hilarious as ever I am actually a bit disappointed with this season so far. They have left out a lot of stuff that was in the original plot. Episode 2 should have been about two or three episodes long if they had gone with the original plot.
I am gonna watch it all though, just because Chiaki and Nodame are sooo funny together.

Another series that someone needs to explain to me. I am just so confused with the plot. Is it just me or does the plot skip around on the time line?
This show has a very Death Note kind of look, if you into that kind of thing.

The Fall....Let It Begin [Anime Portion]

As per the title, here is the anime portion.

New Arrivals:

Kuroshitsuji

I have never been one for shota but this series really does an awesome job at converting me. Though I have to add that I am not looking at poor, lonely Ciel at all. How could you look at him when there is 100% pure demonic fangirl material right next to him in the form of a butler?? Sebastian just might win over the hot servant award I gave Hagi of Blood+ last year, mostly because Sebastian has a sense of humor where Hagi never spoke. Seriously, Sebastian is my only reason for watching this series at all at this point, he is just so pretty. Oh, the music is really good too so far; the OP/ED themes and the score (yay for another work by Taku Iwasaki).

Kuroshitsuji's pilot episode receives an 8 out of 10.

Casshern SINS

I was hoping this series would clear up my confusion with relation to the live action film, but that doesn't seem to be the direction it is heading in. Oh well. It matters little since it had such a powerful artistic draw from the get go. The essence of the anime that draws me in is that it has a look unto itself, much like the show Kaiba which aired earlier this year. Not sure where the plot will be moving to, but I will definitely keep watching to unravel the mystery of Casshern and be even more swept away the the art style, music and action. Plus Casshern is hot.

Casshern pilot episode is given a 10/10.

Vampire Knight Guilty

The name of this second season is vile. Who ever thought up that "guilty" bit should be fired. It is ridiculous. Anime site here.
I have yet to watch this pilot episode since subbings are not yet to arrive. Once I have I shall comment.

Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae

I have yet to watch the pilot to the new season of Hell Girl since there are no subs available. Keep an eye out for it's review as well.

ef - a tale of melodies

The new season of ef began this week. I have the first episode, just haven't watched it yet. When I do, there will be a comment. If you don't know, this second season goes along with the plot of the second game, ef - the latter tale. Bring on the drama Minori.

Ah, season one is over. Now we all wait for the continuation to begin January 2009. I honestly cannot wait. I am going to miss the love between Natsume and Nyanko-sensei.

Bleach

The filler arc is over. Hurray. New we can get back to Hueco Mundo and watch Ishida and Renji get the guts crushed to nothingness while my lovely Byakuya comes to the rescue. OOOHH, incentives to watch...Nel's true form revealed, in animation at least. Sorry boys, her boobs will be censored just like that other Espada chick's.

The Fall, Let It Begin....[Music Portion]

I thought I would highlight my newest obsessions in portions. So as per the entry title, here is the music portion.

Anberlin
New Surrenders

I was rather disappointed with how the new Anberlin album turned out. After I listened to it a few times through all I felt about it was that it was over-produced and that they should go back to their coarser style. Anberlin was signed to Tooth & Nail Records till they signed over to Universal Republic Records in August 2007. Their previous albums Never Take Friendship Personal, Cities, and Blueprints to the Black Market all had more character and uniqueness, but now I feel that they have a sound that makes them sound like any other band. There are some good things that have come out this album I have to admit. They have a new edited sound with good cutting and mixing and their dynamic rhythm and lyrics were not sacrificed in the creation of Surrenders but I still feel the old music had more personality than how it is now.

Original Soundtrack

The Real Drive Soundtrack was released on August 27th but I only just got my hands on it. It surpasses all my expectations. When I watched the first episodes of the anime I was blow away, first by the plot, second by the music. Yoshihisa Hirano and Hideki Taniuchi again went above and beyond! Their most famous composition together is Death Note, (sometimes you even hear Mello's themes being played during portions of the anime) and Yoshihisa Hirano is also very well known for the composition within Ouran High School Host Club. Yoshihisa and Hideki took the concepts within Real Drive and adopted them into music flawlessly; Yoshihisa taking on the classical portion while Hideki took the electric. The two of them created a futuristic sound that both compliment the dynamics and emotions that accompanied the ideas within Real Drive yet also complimented the many classical historic aspects that make up the basis of the plot and themes.
The soundtrack is split into two disks, the classical and the modern. The classical influenced greatly by the works of Paganini and the modern sounding very much like works produced by Moby and Paul Oakenfold, with their ambient style.

Can not really do a proper post right now. Too busy. Here is the run down on life, and all that stuff I usually post about:

Currently broke.
Currently part of a newly forming band (least I think I am) but I cant play guitar very well yet.
I am back into Bach. That man was a cello genius.
Finally watched Iron Man. Good movie. Nothing to elaborate on though except that the color of the suit was good.
Code Geass characters have gone bonkers along with the Sunrise staffers.
I am still unemployed
School has taken over my life.
Itazura na Kiss has one episode left. Episode 24 was really really cute.
Natsume Yuujinchou just gets better and better. Nyanko-sensei is amazing. I want him for myself.
Math is a terrible subject with too much homework.
I sprained my ankle on Thursday and it still aches when I walk on it.
I like the new Facebook layout unlike every other person who uses the site. If it goes back to the old layout I will be very pissed off.
I cant wait for the Nabari no Ou OST 2 to come on the Sept. 26th!!

Holy freaking ... WOW!

J.J. Abrams has done something to make my brain spin yet again.

The pilot episode of the new Fox series Fringe was by no means astounding and freaky as hell. If you ever saw some of the weirder things he did with his show Alias, think of all those things put together times 100 and you end up with Fringe as a result. I thought Abrams had hit his peak with Lost, but this new show of his might just be another winner if every episode is as good and gripping and totally twisted as this first one.

I feel like my mind has been overloaded and the only way that I can relieve all the thought going on in my mind is to re-watch the episode.

For once, I can't bring myself to spoil and episode of a show. That is how overwhelmed this show has made me. It truly is amazing.

With Lost and Alias Abrams skimmed the surface of Pseudoscience. In Lost there are plenty of "unexplainable happenings" that fall to the category of fringe sciences. In Alias, Sydney submerged herself within the unconscious, much like what happened in the Pilot of Fringe. But neither of these things compare to the extent of this new show.

This show spends it main line of plot on a course leading though the ideas of Fringe and Pseudoscience while all kinds of strange events are happening across the world, which are occurring in synchronicitic ways, all adding up into a thing we only know as The Pattern.

I am hooked. You should get hooked too.

Yeah, so, I have "The Sharpest Lives" by My Chemical Romance stuck in my head. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason why is because I feel asleep last night listening to it. I just could not fall asleep last night. All I could think about was how amusing and completely ludicrous anime can be.

I watched the second Bleach movie last night, Bleach - The DiamondDust Rebellion - Mou Hitotsu no Hyourinmaru, and I have to say....it was absurd. Granted, it did look amazing. Honestly, it was a very very pretty movie to watch, and plot wise it was rather good as well (now we know why Toshirou always has that scowl on his adorable face). But when it came towards the end, with Kusaka turning into that haxed demonic ice dragon, I couldn't stop myself from bursting out with a laugh that lasted well into this morning. I am defiantly still laughing.
The movie really did a good job of highlighting how much the soundtrack and visual style of Bleach has evolved. The music is far less annoying that it used to be and the colors within the anime have hit an all-time high of awesomeness since the Hueco Mundo arc. The influence on the way the films look is evident.

I watched the 22nd Episode of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 as well last night. It didn't exactly help with my hurting stomach. After I had watched the Bleach film, all the laughing had made my stomach hurt and then of course I had to watch Geass, and it made me laugh just as much.
Here are my highlights and thoughts on the episode:

I knew Nunnally was still alive.
Lelouch's hat was ugly. Honestly, he looked like some sort or Arabic Scheikh in those crazy threads. The hat was so dopey, it reminded me of the ones in Trinity Blood.
Nunnally's serious voice is really awesome.
The UFN is made up of pansy characters and totally lame guys who don't even dress like respectable politicians.
Nina is total freak. I cannot believe how coolly Milly and Rivalz are around her still. I mean, yes, it seems she has learned her lesson, and it is nice to see her being more rational and less self centered, but why aren't more people freaking that she killed half of Tokyo!!?? Jeez, she is such an Oppenheimer character...frustrating.
I don't want a season three. It needs to end. Plot will drag in a third season.

Thought I would also mention that I watched Natsume Yuujinchou Episode 8 and it was really cute. Why is it that I can never think of a better description besides 'cute' when I talk about Natsume??? Oh well. Looks like episode nine might be a creepy episode, and kind of sad. The word 'exorcism' was in there, but I have yet to watch it, so we shall see.

"Night 171" of D.Gray-man was a good chapter.

Bleach 324: "The Claws", was a very good chapter as well.
Hisagi's release is very very cool. Another two in one katana, not a one in two (LOL, thanks for helping me understand JD).
I am slowly watching Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto ~Natsu no Sora~ which is being aired on TV Asahi. It has a very distinct style which I love. Everything seems so real. It is as if the characters are living in the real world because of how realistic the background is. If you ever watched Honey & Clover, Gokinjo Monogatari or Paradise Kiss you would understand (and if you have yet to watch any of those, GO WATCH THEM!!!!).
This guy in ~Natsu no Sora~ is really cute. He totally reminds me of Kai from Blood+ for some reason. I think it has to do with his attitude. I feel really bad for him though, he is always so sad looking.

No I do not mean the 90's movie, thank you very much.

I had some rather hilarious revelations come to my attention in the past 24 hours. They had me laughing hours and hours after finding them out. I was laughing in my sleep for sure. And even when I woke up just a simple though about the things made me laugh more.

Here they are, not in order, just...here they are...*laughs*

Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) is going to be an anime in the fall lineup. OMG. This had me laughing so hard. I still am. I like the art style. Manga style was great, it was the only shota style I ever saw as 'worthy'. LOL, but the plot was super lame! I cannot believe they made an anime. HAHAHAHA...only rememing factor is that it have a bit of a Rental Magica look to it. Check out these videos for yourself. Trailer and TV Air.

True Blood is going to be HILARIOUS! So I finally found out what the hell this new HBO shoe is about, and i could not stop laughing. My stomache hurts a lot because of the plot surrounding the show. Basiclly, Anna Paquin plays a watriss in a small Louisiana town. The thing is, she is telepathic (mind reader). In this world, Vampires are completely real and are fighting for their 'civial rights' in a matter of speaking. Basicly, they don't feed on humans, but aren't well liked when push comes to shove. The real kicker is that the guy Paquin falls far is the one guy who's mind she can't read, oh, and guess what, he is a vampire. Basically, it is Twilight with the main characters in reveased roles and the vampire secret is out in the open for the world. Oh god, the cliche of ficition these days is just over the top. I need to stop watching television. Here is the True Blood HBO site, check it out yourself. It's a good thing I don't get HBO, else I would be watching the episodes for laughs. Hey, I can still do that on the internet, but I think I should keep my distance. Paquin is a weird looking blonde.

Midnight Sun is repeatative, annoying, and makes me not like Edward. Edward is: a) STALKER, b) insanely jealous, c) one of the moppiest characters I have ever encountered. The only redeeming factor in this no-really-novel is that you get to laugh through every conversation involving Emmett. Emmett and only Emmett is the highlight of half-novel, and only because he is funny. Please read this review, it is amazing.

Things I Would Sell My Soul For Right Now

Rain. The weather in California sucks. It is so bleeding hot that it has warped my brain. I mean, come on, I just used the term 'bleeding'. That cannot be good.
Aru Ga Mama Single. Seriously, I am going loony without this song. I want the full version so bad. It sounds stupid, I know, but I don't think I have ever wanted a song more. My Nabari no Ou fixation has hit an all new high of ridiculousness.
Immortality. To live without the consequences of time sounds blissful to me right now. Don't ask, I don't want to explain. All I will say is that, yes, I know the grand scheme of the consequences that accompany immortality, yet I still want it.
Coffee. You know you're a caffeine addict when you want a cup of Joe at 11pm at night, even when your complaining the weather is too hot for your tastes. Right now, me and my bottle are close friends. My liter sized Dasani bottle that is.
The Ability To Change Hair Color and Style At Whim. Irrational and useless, but totally cool. My hair is really my worst feature these days. My bangs are too long again and I want blue hair. Not blue black. I want super crazy vibrant blue. Electric blue.

So that is the list. As of right now anyways. Don't hate me for not updating about recent watches and reads like I promised in my last post. I am just not in the mood, I feel far too miserable. I have to do my lab hours for school tomorrow morning, yuck.

Week Long Absence....again...

Sorry about being 'gone'. I have a feeling that it is just going to be like this from now on.

School, life and work...its a vicious cycle.

Labor Day weekend was a blast. A wonderful beach and friend filled few days that was completely awesome. A definite last hurray before Thanksgiving comes around in a few months. My friend has a new place down in San Clemente and it is about 5 minutes from the beach so we spent a good amount of time there over the weekend. I got burnt even though it was cloudy, of course. It has faded so now i have great tan, a healthy glow.

Lately I have been reading the book The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. It is one of the most inspirational books I have ever read, and I am not even done with it yet! It definitely stands alongside Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl and Death Be Not Proud by John J. Gunther. At points it is almost difficult to read the book because even though Pausch is not someone I actually knew I feels as if I am getting to know him through his words. Sometimes I almost feel like crying because he seems like such a wonderful person and yet I know he is already gone. Randy Pausch died of pancreatic cancer on July 25, 2008. It is hard to think that the man leaving behind his last testament to his children, loved ones, and the world is already gone, and I am just now reading his book.

In Anthropology yesterday we went over the fact that most all religions in the world try to answer the question of "Why Me?". Well, my question as I read through The Last Lecture is constantly "Why Randy Pausch?" Life is unfair, random, and the universe is just too much for any one person to grasp as you grapple with living.

No Words

Yeah, so the title of this post is just stupid. I couldn't think of a title so I just thought "whatever".

It's been a crazy week and a half for me. With school and other such related things I haven't really had any me me me time (aka: sanity time).

So college rocks. The fact that the whole thing is a money scam really dawns on you after all your books are bought and your bank account is depleted to about fifty dollars, but all in all the experience is really not so bad. I like the people (well, most of them), the atmosphere, the professors....There are some people in my classes I already wish to murder. They just never seem to such the hell up. I want one of those classic moments to happen, where the teacher chucks the piece of chalk at the chatty kids head. Unfortunately, no chalk. They could throw the projector controllers, but that could be a pricey way to shut someone up.

I think my high school really molded me though. It is almost creepy. Troy High School more or less has me brainwashed. The way I take notes, the way I listen to the lectures, even down to the way I can still remember how to do math problems effectively and neatly, even though I haven't done them in almost two years... It's freaky, yet 100% useful.

Finding the right balance in my days has yet to come to me. I think it will take another week. My eating habits are totally messed up. I have two night classes and whenever I get home from them I am completely staving. It's the weirdest thing to be craving dinner at 10pm at night. It is as if all the brain power usage makes me hungry. Stupid right????

Well, as I said before, not much sanity time for me. I have been able to watch the last two episodes of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2. I must say, episode 20 was really really good. I was disappointed with how Lelouch's identity got out...I had hoped for something 'flashier' but beggars can't be choosers. Episode 20, at the end, when Lelouch sealed himself and Charles in....that moment was amazing. Lulu's mom being 'alive' inside of the pick-haired chick was a good twist as well (glad C.C. is back too). I must say I think Lelouch has made a super cool move and I cannot wait to see what will happen next week.
I am completely bummed to hear that the final seven or so episodes of Nabari no Ou will not be subbed; at least not on a regular basis or by the group that usually does it. Funimation sucks. I want to kick their ass. I am seriously hoping that I will still see subs pop up for it, and Monochrome Factor as well, because that show just cracks me up, but it too got caught by freaking Funimation.
Watched Soul Eater 20. Haven't moved anywhere in the manga, but I did read this arc, and I must say, the COLORS are amazing!! Because of all the colors and the way the action is done in the anime, I like it more than the manga. I don't like Chrona killing a dragon though. The bunny was better from the manga (I am against animal cruelty, I say this only for plot differentiation purposes).

D. Gray-man break must end soon or I will go insane.

Natsume Yuujinchou rules my life. I have had the pleasure of getting caught up in that show when I can't get to sleep at night. I get freaked out then have my heart warmed by the kind soul that is Natsume. Thank you to Ainex subgroup for being devoted to this series.
I cannot think of anything else to say, except that I feel hungry and that I wish to meet a reincarnation of Cyrano de Bergerac during my college days (I am rereading the play). OH and that I cannot wait for Fullerton College to put on Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's gonna kick ass!

Birthday / College Experience (Fail)

So today was my birthday.
Can you believe that?
No.
Me neither.

So yeah, just another day. It really did feel like it except for the fact that I ended up with a slice of Pistachio Chocolate Cake and scoop of Pistachio ice cream at 9pm.
I got an alarm clock from my parents, yay! LOL, no, seriously, no sarcasm. I really have been wanting a new one. My old one was from when I started kindergarten and the on / off switch for the alarm was broken.

Here is it, except mine is all black. The SoundGear Jumbo Multi-Color Digit Alarm Clock Radio.

LOL!!!!!!

Yeah, I am blind. I really do need the jumbo sized digits because my clock is across the room from my bed. This is so that when it goes off in the morning I have to get up to turn it off. When I take my glasses off I cannot, for my life, see the numbers on my clock. BUT NOW I CAN BECAUSE THEY ARE HUGE!!! Ahhh, it is always nice to end up with a gift you asked for repeatedly but were never taken seriously in those moments. I think, to be honest, my parents didn't know what to get me even though I gave them a million ideas. I say this because this clock was a clearance item at Linen 'n' Things down the street that is closing. How do I know this? Why, because of the unremoved price sticker with the marked through bar code.
It's always the thought that counts right? I have to remember not to mention the fact I know this to them. If they knew I knew what I really got for my 18th birthday, I am sure they would feel a bit bad.

Thank you brother for the gift card. Can never have too much money to spend at a book store ( XD !!! ).

I had my first real day of college. Actually, I only had one 2 hour class, but still. It wasn't too bad. It was the returning home to find out that I wouldn't be able to get a used textbook for the math class, that was less than $80, that really killed my day. I went to the used book store on the way home, they had the book for $106. Came home, the best I could do online was get a used one for $104 (thats including shipping). Totally sucks. I have never spent so much money on one book before. I think I once spent that much at one time while buying books, but it was a huge stack of them. Not one book. Especially not one book on a subject I loath passionately.

Well, hopefully my last book for Japanese will be reasonably cheaper. Wish me luck.

TOP 10 MOST TRAGIC ANIME / MANGA CHARACTERS

(not in order, they just make the count)

1. Allen Walker of "D. Gray-man":

Abandoned at birth because of his left arm which is a rare parasitic anti-akuma weapon
Youngest Exorsist alive which leads people to always underestimate him
Adopted by a traveling clown named Mana who dies. Allen brings him back as an akuma with the power of the Millennium Earl. Allen's weapon protects him and kills Mana, not before Mana places a curse on him that lets him see the souls attached to the akuma he kills.
Does not know who to trust or what to believe about his past.
Is becoming the enemy from the inside out, while being persecuted by the people he allies himself with.

2. Yoite of "Nabari no Ou":

Uses a technique called Kira that lets the user focus their life force into a weapon. It breaks down the user physically though, gradually losing the five sense and dying.
Doesn't want to die, but wants to have his entire existence erased. Often wonders if he was ever alive.
Was young when he learned Kira and after he did matured in a course of 3 painful days; neither male nor female.
Abandoned by his parents (who my have been violent towards him or were insane by the anime indications)
Always either ignored, avoided, or used for the purposes of others

3. Afro Samurai of "Afro Samurai":

Watched his father killed for his title of "Number One "
Lived a emotionally and physically destructive life to get revenge on the man who killed his father and gain the title of "Number One"
The fact that Afro spends most of his life as "Number Two" means that he is constantly being hunted by people who want his title, meaning he can never have close relations with other people.

4. Braireos Hecatonchires of "Appleseed":

A man who was so wounded in battle that his entire body had to become implanted with cyberconetics.
Even after he gets back the girl of his dreams, they can never completely go back to how things were before when he had an 'organic' body and not an artificial one.
Later find out the city he fights for cloned him and that the clone looks exactly the way he did before he had to have his implants.

5. Chihiro Shindou of "ef - a tale of memories":

Involved in a car crash that her older twin sister got her into by accident. She lost her left eye and will forever suffer from a server form of amnesia where she cannot remember anything past thirteen hours previous.
Writes and falls in love with a boy but struggles because of her health.

6. Vincent Law of "Ergo Proxy":

Really a created "shadow" (or "clone" if that helps) of Proxy One, aka Ergo Proxy. Vincent has a hard time knowing who or what he truly is.
Basically he was a tool that was to be used to destroy humanity.
Deeply loved Re-l Mayer but she rejects him a lot because she believe he is beneath her till the end of the series
Ends up becoming Proxy One, Agent of Death, because he kills his "creator" the original Proxy One.

7. Edward Elric of "Fullmetal Alchemist":

Watches mother die along with younger brother
Tries and fails to bring back his mother from death with terrible results. He losses an arm, his brother losses his entire body, and Edward has to sacrifice a leg to save his brother's soul from moving on.
Goes through some really bad trials while being a dog of the military, doing things against his principles, and ends up "dying" to save his brother

8. Kiyoko Madoka of "Gilgamesh":

Her father was blamed for the terrorist attack that destroyed the sky of the earth.
Her mother's debts cause her and her brother (really a clone of her father) so end up on the run. They are captured and 'bought' by an evil woman named The Countess (her father mistress way back when who ends up being the cause of the end of the world because of her jealousy).
The Countess treats Kiyoko like trash.
Kiyoko ends up working in a gentleman's club as a hostess instead of using her talents of pitch to play and tune pianos.
Falls in love with the enemy, a Gilgamesh named Novem, and gets pregnant, carrying the child of a new species, which she ends up killing right before she too dies.

9. Rika Furude of "Higurashi no Nako Koro ni":

Every time that village destroys itself and goes through it's time loop, Rika is the only one the knows besides her invisible ally Hanyu.
She always ends up murdered at the end of every "repeat" the village goes through
It is her job to end the villages repeat. While doing so she see her friends go through seriously twisted hardships, tortures, or they end up becoming insane.
By the end and resolution of the story she is thought to be almost 100 years old because of how many times she repeated time to get it right.

10. Lelouch Lamperouge of "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion":

Mother murdered, sister becomes blind and wheelchair bound because of the incident that killed their mother.
Striped of Prince-hood. Abandoned and thought dead after being traded as a 'hostage' to Japan before is was forced into war, conflict and submission with the ruling Empire taking over the planet.
Given a power that lets him give ultimate commands but it also destroys his life and those that he comes in contact with.

Nabari no Ou Episode 19

Episode 19 - Shinigami no Yokogao, Profile of a Death God

WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! *lots of blubbering sounds*

I could stop crying during most of the episode. I though the end of episode 18 was heartbreaking, but this episode was even more, intense. The tears just kept coming out. Yoite is just such a tragic character... Not most tragic, but he defiantly make the top ten list.

I am so happy Gao is alive. I used to hate him, but he is just so funny! And he brings out the best parts of Raiko's character.
Yoite seriously has a big mouth. I wonder how many times I would have to try it before I could get down that trick he does where he eats the big slices of cake whole. He must be part snake, with that jaw dislocation thing.
I really hope that Yukimi-san does what is right for Yoite and Miharu and stops following the Kairoshuu Group. I know he loves his sister, but deep down he loves Yoite too. I am so glad that Gao and Raiko seem to be leaning towards Yoite's side and not an organization. I mean how can you not want to help poor, cute, and fragile Yoite!?!
The lemonade scene with Yoite and Yukimi is where my tears just started and didn't stop. As Yukimi thought on what he knew of Yoite I kept thinking about a few things:
1) What if Yoite was an outsider to Nabari before he was adopted? How pissed would Yukimi be about that news? I could just she his mind working in overdrive about how best to kill Hattori for making an outsider part of Nabari and having him learn a technique like Kira.
2) No wonder Yoite is the way he is. Even though Yukimi helped him, it still seems like he was very cold to him even though he can be a warm character in is own way. Such a pity.
I hope Yoite and Miharu have some luck in the coming episodes. And what up with this "Tattegami" team??? Secret Intelligence Unit!!?!?! Didn't see that coming.
