Dear readers,

Thank you so much for all your messages and comments in the last days! I got so many requests to keep on blogging on hippiebohoreloaded. I decided to keep on blogging here!

Currently, I'm searching for the right rockin' ankle boots. My search is influenced by Alison Mosshart, the queen of ankle boots. Also, these wonderful H by Hudson Encke Ankle boots (featured at Free People) are in my mind - unfortunately sold out and out of my range, too.

On Ebay, I found a very similar pair: The H by Hudson Bowen ankle boots. I will be snapping them for a fraction of the retail price, for sure. But: There is another pair of booties that warmed up my heart: These gorgeous 80's Mink Vintage Ankle boots shown above. Love their colour, shape and the bargainous price.

What do you think - which pair goes better with skinny jeans and shorts - the H by Hudson ones or these Vintage babes?

A short while ago, I posted about my search for the ultimate brown sugar boho leather jacket. After thinking about the Whistles Lee Longline biker jacket as an option, I finally decided that it's not me. Luckily, I found a reasonable alternative at my fave leather crafter: The All Saints Texas Jacket!

What a colour! What a fine shape (very similar to my Winter Kate January Suede jacket, btw)! This one will be perfect with all my boho dresses, skinnies and maxis! Can't wait to receive it. Will be perfect for my upcoming trip (destination? still a secret!).

⨁ GET YOUR 60'S BANGS. ⨁

If we have a look at current boho hairstyles,  one feature seems to be everywhere: The fringe. No matter if it's a  full fringe version or senter parted bangs, every hippie chick seems to  have one! 

With  the new year, I was ready for a change so I decided to get my  bangs in a 60's way as shown above. As an inspiration for that cute  look, I had a look at   Sienna Miller with her center parted bangs, Nicole Richie  with her her full fringe and ponytail or her center parted  version paired with a stunning headpiece. For sure, the iconic Marianne Faithfull has been an inspiraton for all of them, as she is the queen of a  60's full fringe.  

Inspired by them, I got myself a 60's fringe as a DIY - oh yes, I have been a very brave girl and got some bangs by myself! The tutorial I used can be found here. It is super easy, all you need is some sharp scissors and a bid of braveness ;) Love to wear mine center-parted, Sienna-styled, i think it's much more effortless and hippie-esque!

Heya,  hope everbody had a magical night! This is the first post in 2012 and I  wanna give a warm welcome to the new year - to a great year, for sure!  We had loads of fun watching the fireworks, having some trinks, and  laughing with some dear friends ... what could be better?

To welcome 2012, I wore my All Saints Carnolia black crochet dress together with the Indian Banjara Tribal Moon necklace that was given to me by lovely blogger buddy Gypsy River.  It goes so well with the chunky crochet dress - I felt like a sister of  the dark moon ;) Really a wonderful necklace for a magical night!

Combined with my  Navajo jewellery and my burgundy boots, it was a relaxed, hippie-tastic  outfit that's just so ME! I actually wanted to go for heels but I'm a  comfy girl, I guess ;) For a bohemian hair do, I decided to do something  inspired by Sienna Miller - a half up boho hair style with center parted bangs. And some 60's cat's eyes, for sure!

Wishing   you all a  wonderful 2012 full of joy, love, fun and great   opportunities! I'm  full of ideas for the upcoming year and we allready   planning our next  hippie trip! I actually won't be going to tell you   what the  destination will be, but I can tell you: It is far, far away   from good  old Germany :)

⨁ DRESS TRANSFORMATION. ⨁

Some days ago I posted about black crochet dresses   and my bargainous ebay buy: an All Saints Carnolia dress for 1/4 of  the  RRP! What made me uncertain from the first sight about it was the   tassel detail of the dress: Would it be too much, too edgy, too fuzzy?

I   can clearly say: Yes, it is to much. Definitely. it looked like the   crochet work beeing unfinished, not like an wearable dress to me. So I   decided that the tassels had to leave! All I needed were some scissors!  After detaching the tassels, the dress looked perfectly to me: With its  double layer detail on the upper section of this gorgeous frock and with  its perfect crochet pattern, I knew that I would love it 24/7!

 For a day look, just add some denim (here: my £5 H&M shirt), some tights and Burgundy boots!  For a glamorous evening look, the dress is stunning enough to be the main part of the outfit. I'll definitely wear this little gem on NYE, so check out my future post about that!

Bored of burgundy and white  crochet dresses and in need of adding some edge to your hippie look?  Just go for a black crochet dress. They are amazing for a relaxed day  look and will also work for a boho party look! While searching for my  own black crochet beauty, Free People's Hand Crochet maxi dress stole my heart. But with a retail price of more than $200, it is out of my range.

Luckily, there are so many good alternatives in mini and maxi length: The Thriftwares Black Cut Out Crochet maxi dress for example is a wonderful genuine vintage version of the Free People beauty. The Free People Crochet Tunic jumper that is currently on sale is wonderful for any daytime look. Just add a pair of coloured skinnies to it! The Free People Gypsy Lace dress adds a bid of 90's grunge to the late 60's crochet look.

 More party-ish looks are the bodycon fitted Free People Medallion Seamless slip and the flapper-styled Free People Esther's Crochet Fringe tunic. I like the idea of wearing something colourful underneath, it totally changes the look!

The black crochet dress I got for myself is The All Saints Carnolia dress: I got it for a bargainous price of £37 (instead of $199),  it is definitely a keeper! Thank you, Ebay! I'll definitely will be  going to rock this black beauty on New Year's eve, worn together with my  burgundy boots shown in the previous post!

As you might know, I'm really addicted to kimono jackets. Worn with a simple pair of skinnies and a plain tee, they can really make an outfit. Nicole Richie's Winter Kate line brought them back in fashion. Unfortunately, her kimonos are a bid expensive and hard to come by.

This week, I found this wonderful By Malene Birger kimono on EBay.  The style is called Gela and it is made from 100% silk. The black  embroidery on the front and the back warms up my heart - I totally love  it!

With a price of incredible £23,40 it beats any cheap made polyester kimono you can find anywhere on the highstreet. Ebay is really the best source for high end stuff! My purchase was inspired by Winter Kate's purple Opy Silk kimono. Really hard to come by as it is sold out everywhere, so I'm more than glad about my pretty alternative!

Can't wait to pair it with grey skinnies and a nude top underneath! Best thing is that it can be worn as a blazer with an open front and as a tunic top as it has a button closure at the front.

Again   and again, Ebay really seems to be a goldmine for vintage treasures:   Ebay seller Toomonkeys offers not only the most amazing embroidered   hippie winter jackets I've ever seen before, they also have a very fine   range of vintage jewellery. The Afghan tribal rings they offer are   beyond beautiful: They feature a bird motive that really goes so well   with the free hippie spirit that we all admire!

My fave is definitely the Red and Blue 70's Hippie Tribal Bird ring.  With its turquoise and coral stones, this little treasure would fit to  the majority of my clothes and jewellery! Really a boho-licious must  have!

Isn't the thunderbird shape amazing? The other two ones I really love are made in shades of blue: Just check out their Lapis Tribal Bird ring and the Turquoise Tribal Bird ring. Aren't they pretty? They would go so well with turquoise Navajo jewellery!

Nicole Richie's Winter Kate line is so hard to get here in Europe. Luckily, The Outnet currently sells some stunning pieces for a fraction of the retail price! So if you are looking for a stunning boho outfit for X-Mas holiday, you might find something beautiful in here!

To glam up a simple pair of trousers or a basic tee dress, chose one of these gorgeous kimono cardis, made of velvet or silk: My first choise for christmas would be the vibrant red Jasmine Silk Crepe jacket. Love the Goldvine print and that amazing colour! If you are looking for a cozy piece of velvet, the Jade Silk Blend Velvet jacket or the Jasmine Devoré Velvet Silk Blend jacket are just perfect. 

If you love it more classy with a hint of boho, chose the Jemma Fringed Silk Crepe jacket! For the current 60's inspired Mod trend, the black and white Isolde Silk Crepe tunic dress would be fine.

You already do have an outfit for your Christmas party and you are in need for a little boho cover up? Just add a waistcoat! The hippie-tastic Gypsy Rose Tassel Cotton vest or the more simple Duke Wool vest will help you out.

For sure, Claudia Schiffer  is one of the best dressed women in the world. Not only she looks like a  goddess on runway shows and on the red carpet; when ever Claudia's off  duty, she turns into a relaxed late 60's glamour look.  Claudia loves to pull on a 60's dress while rocking the streets of  London. The red boho chic dress she wears reminds me so much of Ossie Clark!

Even a simple denim skirt is translated by her to another decade - paired with big shades and hippie scarves, it instantly gets the 60's attitude with a very relaxed touch.

Aside from boho dresses, Claudia loves to layer - a big and chunky knit is a wardrobe essential of her (she loves Paul&Joe!).  Her plain chunky knits really work so well with her colourful printed  dresses - no matter if her cardis are matchy matchy with the dresse's  colours or if its a simple grey one.

For sure, Claudia Schiffer is the queen of blazers. She wears them in an elegant, lady like way. Combined with a vibrant scarf and paired with a boho dress or some awesome flares, she rocks them for a real 60's autumn.

I  just instantly felt in love with that oversized moon necklace! Isn't   it a beauty? One of the Indian coins used for it features the year of my   birth - what a wonderful fortune!
