PS I don't really think anything is going to come of this. Just found it interesting.
Oh I don't think it is going to go anywhere. If congress really wanted to fight the president's go to war power they would have done it in the courts. They did it once with Dellum v. Bush, but the court threw it out because the case wasn't ripe. They stated Goldwater v. Cater “a dispute between congress and the president is not ready for judicial review unless and until each branch has taken action asserting its constitutional authority.” They would have to do that and take it back to court. As far as I know they have not.

If I would have named my blog that I would have so much more to write about.
I might be the most awkward fucking person on the planet.

I use to suffer from chronic bitch face. Now I have been trying to fake it by smiling more. I'm a firm believer in fake it till you make it. So instead of having no facial expressions, all my facial expressions are wrong for my emotions.
I have the memory and attention span of a gold fish so I spend a lot of my time just trying to figure out where I am and how to get where I'm going.

Yesterday was a particularly awkward day. I have not been sleeping well and suffering from exhaustion. All moms know what I'm talking about. Some one started a conversation with me in an elevator. I forgot what I was talking about mid sentence. Stood there in awkward silence till the doors open and I walked off in the wrong direction. By the time I got out of the building and figured out where I was, I was no where near where I needed to be.

I can't flirt.

Well not with the people I want to

I got drunk a couple of weeks ago and grabbed a friends boobs (it seemed like the right thing to do at the time I guess). She told her boyfriend, who told my boyfriend, she was really into it... That's not even the most awkward thing that happen that weekend.

At least Friday is here, and not a single fuck will be given

Monsanto Corruption

In Monsanto v. Geertson Seed Farms, No. 09-475, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments in a case which could have an enormous effect on the future of the American food industry. This is Monsanto's third appeal of the case, and if they win a favorable ruling from the high court, a deregulated Monsanto may find itself in position to corner the markets of numerous U.S. crops, and to litigate conventional farmers into oblivion.

Here's where it gets a bit dicier. Two Supreme Court justices have what appear to be direct conflicts of interest.

Stephen Breyer
Charles Breyer, the judge who ruled in the original decision of 2007 which is being appealed, is Stephen Breyer's brother, who apparently views this as a conflict of interest and has recused himself.

Clarence Thomas
From the years 1976 - 1979, Thomas worked as an attorney for Monsanto. Thomas apparently does not see this as a conflict of interest and has not recused himself.

The lawsuit was filed by plantiffs which include the Center for Food Safety, the National Family Farm Coalition, Sierra Club, Dakota Resources Council and other farm, environmental and consumer groups and individual farmers. The original decision :

The federal district court in California issued its opinion on the deregulation of “Roundup Ready” alfalfa pursuant to the Plant Protection Act on February 13, 2007. Upon receiving Monsanto’s petition for deregulation of the alfalfa seed, APHIS conducted an Environmental Assessment and received over 500 comments in opposition to the deregulation. The opposition’s primary concern was the potential of contamination. APHIS, however, made a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and approved the deregulation petition, thereby allowing the seed to be sold without USDA oversight. Geertson Seed Farms, joined by a number of growers and associations, filed claims under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as well as the Endangered Species Act and Plant Protection Act. In regards to NEPA, they argued that the agency should have prepared an EIS for the deregulation.
Addressing only the NEPA claims, the court agreed that APHIS should have conducted an EIS because of the significant environmental impact posed by deregulation of the alfalfa seed. A realistic potential for contamination existed, said the court, but the agency had not fully inquired into the extent of this potential. The court also determined that APHIS did not adequately examine the potential effects of Roundup Ready alfalfa on organic farming and the development of glyphosate-resistant weeds and that there were “substantial questions” raised by the deregulation petition that the agency should have addressed in an EIS. Concluding that the question of whether the introduction of the genetically engineered alfalfa and its potential to affect non-genetic alfalfa posed a significant environmental impact necessitated further study, the court found that APHIS’s decision was “arbitrary and capricious” and ordered the agency to prepare an EIS. The court later enjoined the planting of Roundup Ready alfalfa from March 30, 2007, until completion of the EIS and reconsideration of the deregulation petition, except for those farmers who had already purchased the seed. In May of 2007, the court enjoined any future planting of the alfalfa. An order by the court in June, 2007 required disclosure of all Roundup Ready planting sites.

Monsanto filed appeals in 2008 and 2009. In both instances, they were unsuccessful in having the original decision reversed, so they appealed to the Supreme Court, who agreed to hear the case.

Alfalfa is the fourth most widely grown crop in the United States, behind corn, soybeans, and wheat.
South Dakota alfalfa farmer Pat Trask, one of the plaintiffs, said Monsanto's biotech alfalfa would ruin his conventional alfalfa seed business because it was certain his 9,000 acres would be contaminated by the biotech genes.
Alfalfa is very easily cross-pollinated by bees and by wind. The plant is also perennial, meaning GMO plants could live on for years.
"The way this spreads so far and wide, it will eliminate the conventional alfalfa industry," said Trask. "Monsanto will own the entire alfalfa industry."
Monsanto has a policy of filing lawsuits or taking other legal actions against farmers who harvest crops that show the presence of the company's patented gene technology. It has sued farmers even when they have tried to keep their own fields free from contamination by biotech plants on neighbouring farms.

The case has implications beyond alfalfa crops. About eight hundred reviewed genetically engineered food applications were submitted to the USDA, yet noenvironmental impact statements were prepared. Even as this diary is being written, a federal judge in San Francisco is reviewing a similar case involving genetically modified sugar beets. The decision is expected this week and could halt planting and use of the gm sugar beets, which account for half of America's sugar supply.

Back to the Supreme Court case, oral argument is slated to begin on April 27, 2010. With Breyer recused and Thomas opting not to recuse, the bench appears to be heavily tilted to Monsanto.

No. Yes. The Supreme Court first held that the plaintiffs have standing to seek injunctive relief. However, the Court further held that the district court abused its discretion when it entered an injunction absent the completed EIS. With Justice Samuel A. Alito writing for the majority, the Court reasoned that no factor favoring the imposition of an injunction yet existed.

Justice John Paul Stevens dissented. He argued that the district court's findings of fact all supported the imposition of an injunction: (1) the new alfalfa variety could contaminate other plants, (2) contamination could take place even in a controlled setting, (3) the relevant regulator has limited ability to control or limit limitations on planting, and (4) genetic contamination could decimate farmers' livelihoods all supported.

This shit is happening weather you want to hear it or not. I think we should be forced as Americans to see what is being done in our name. We should see bodies. We should be faced with the monsters war creates along with the mutilated children. Maybe we would cut this shit out if we weren't so detached from it.

It's good for Americans to see what war does to people. I bet most of those men were loved fathers and sons who have family who never thought they were capable of this. I posted a video about how parents with children who are injured by vaccines are bullied and belittled. What happen? I was bullied and belittled. Even though anyone with the sense god gave a goat knows that children are injured by vaccines. I shouldn't talk about it because "It might discourage someone from getting a vaccine" and I was "putting people's lives in danger" . What the fuck? We should ignore injured children because knowing about it might help some one make and educated choice? Ignorant people are the best publicity big pharm and big Ag have. Even though the maker of the HPV vaccines will openly admit that people in first world countries are better off with out it, large groups of uneducated people are more then willing to give up their rights and the rights of so many children to make it mandatory. Because it gives them a warm fuzzy feeling believe in the magic of vaccines.

Food companies are not going around saying GM foods are the same as selective breeding, but for some reason a bunch of people think that and like to spew it all over the internet. No one wants to talk about it. I don't even care if you care about GM food, but don't expect me not to talk about it cause it might make you sad when you eat corn. Diffidently don't try to attack me because you don't like the fact that bad things are happening to our food, pesticides are bad for you, blah blah blah. It's a big scary world out there and everything isn't black and white get over it.

I was told by someone maybe people shouldn't be told what is in their food because they didn't know enough to make choices about their food anyways. Not in a sarcastic way I asked. This is the kind of logic we are dealing with. Keep people ignorant, because they are too ignorant to know what is good for them.

Reality shouldn't be ignored because "he is better then a Republican". Yes, Obama has done a lot of good. He deserves credit for those things. Disproportionate Outrage Rant

I know this is an opinion and everyone's opinion is different from being formed from their own personal experiences. I'm already getting off track.

I don't understand how so many people freak out and go crazy road rage when some one cuts them off in traffic (myself included), but be perfectly fine with the tap watered being drugged with fluoride.

A few years back in a criminal justice class I was told that in TX if you catch your spouse in the act of fucking someone else you are automatically eligible for an insanity plea. Because apparently that is just the acceptable response to catching your spouse cheating. I was also told that they were trying to change that since more women were using it and men did not appreciate that, but that is a rant for another day.

How come people are not more pissed about the NDAA ?

Don't give that bull plop about how the text was changed and it doesn't include American citizens. The text was changed, but it does still include locking up American citizens forever without a trial. You don't have to like it, but it is better for everyone if people are realistic about this. Keep in mind that they don't have to prove you did anything. They just get to lock you up because they said so. It would also be helpful if you read the links by clicking in the highlighted areas.

I would much rather catch my significant other in bed with the skankest of skanks then this shit. I wont go into all the other things that people should be pissed off about but are not. That would be depressing and long.

One time when I was a kid I asked my mom how come people back in like the 1700-1800 cared sooo much about manners, etiquette, and so called social norms (not in those words). If you had a baby most likely it was going to die. Most likely you were going to die young. If you were a woman most likely you were going to die giving birth to your baby, who would also most likely be dead soon. I mean these people had huge problems and would freak the fuck out if a woman wore pants or some one had the wrong religion. These people would flip over table manners. My mind could not wrap around why people with real problems, cared about such piddly shit. My mother, being the smart person she is, told me that they could not do anything about those things so they worried about what they could control. Clothing, religion, other ways of keeping people in line.

I think people have started thinking about their government like death. We can't do anything about it so we shouldn't be concerned with it. So they go and gossip or down load illegal music or what ever the fuck the kids are doing these days. We can do something about it. We need to. We just have to get the numbers and the focus of the people.

We are not going to get help from our media. They are own by 6 different corporation who do better with an uneducated public. People have to go out of there way and educate themselves. We live at the most phenomenal time in the history of man education wise. Sure you have to wade through rivers of bullshit to get real information, but most of us actually have it sitting in our laps right now. So pull up your big girl panties. Stop looking for people and politicians to fly in and make the world better. The first part has got to be at least trying to figure out what is going on so we can figure out how to fix it. EDUCATE -> ACT -> CHANGE THE WORLD.

I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.

Ok so as part as my little experiment I decided to ask some of the same kind of questions to my boyfriend here in the US.
When he filled it out he didn't know I planned on posting it on my blog. Jokes on him. This is how I roll.

A: Well you told me, and I found it both informative and entertaining. There is always something interesting there.

2. What do you think of the US media?

A: It is full of mis/disinformation, repetitive, opinionated, and generally useless.

3. Tell me about your personal experience with the health care system and if you like it?

A: No I don't like it. I have no insurance yet, and the free variants are mostly useless. I also dislike the fact that I'll be required under federal law to purchase health insurance that I already cannot afford with the promise of massive fines or hard jail time. If this is untrue then see question 2 for an explanation to my ignorance.

4. Tell me about the education system where you are at.

A: What is there to say? My state is on of the most illterate in the nation. The combined cirriculum of state and federal has been describbed by Charlotte Iserbyt, retired Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI), as soviet education. It makes sense because my state has a high illiteracy rate, critical thinking seems to have dramatically lost popularity, and parents seem to be forgetting that the school works for them rather than vice versa. But that's an opinion based off my personal observations. Whatever the case our education sucks.

5. Are the people where you live generally happy?

A: Not for the most part. Most people seem so stressed, bitter, angry, or braindead. Some people don't really seem to express anything in particular. But I have run across a few people who smile in the face of stress.

6. How do the people around you feel about America?

A: It varies from person to person, ideology to ideology, and culture to culture. But for the most part everyone at least seems to be in agreement that something is terribly amiss even if they are unsure what that something is. There are some ignorant people though, and not everyone seems to be fully aware quite yet the full extent of what is really happening in the shadows.

I don't get why or how people can still think shooting up babies with mercury is a good idea. I can understand wanting vaccines, but we can have BETTER vaccines. New Study Verifies Mercury In Flu Shots Is Toxic

SILVER SPRING, Md., March 22, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — CoMeD — Yet another peer-reviewed, scientific study proving the connection between the mercury in medicine and human illnesses has just been released. The latest study is the sixth one published in recent months. This report specifically examines the harm inflicted on developing fetuses and children by Thimerosal, a mercury-based compound routinely used as a preservative in flu shots.

Members of non-profit groups like the Coalition for Mercury-free Drugs (CoMeD) are actively sharing the latest scientific data about the dangers of medical mercury with the public, largely because they recognize that the mercury in Thimerosal is a factor in numerous childhood diseases.

Thimerosal is the Eli Lilly trade name for sodium ethylmercurithiosalicylate when used as a preservative in vaccines and other drug products. It is also known as "Thiomersal" in Europe and "Merthiolate" when used as an antiseptic. Consisting of approximately 49.6% mercury by weight, Thimerosal has been phased out of many vaccines in the United States because of concerns about its "potential risk." However, it is still in most flu shots even though much safer, cost-effective alternatives are already being used.

The newest study about Thimerosal, from the University of Brazil, warns that while vaccines are essential to the well-being of children around the world, the use of Thimerosal should be reconsidered. The author, Dr. José Dórea, reviews the published science which demonstrates that infant exposure to the amount of Thimerosal in vaccines is toxic to human brain cells.

A number of recent studies have further suggested that the mercury used in everyday medical products, such as flu shots andamalgam, or "silver" dental fillings, contributes to causing a wide variety of illnesses, including autism and other developmental diseases in children and Alzheimer's disease in adults.

Currently, the United Nations Environmental Programme is working to create international mercury regulations by 2013, and the European Commission is expected to announce their findings about health risks associated with mercury-based fillings this month. The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is also re-evaluating the safety of mercury-based fillings.

While governmental groups around the world consider the dangers of mercury, the debate over Thimerosal continues to grow. When Bill Gates recently made remarks insinuating that people who question the safety of vaccines were killing children, many critics of Thimerosal were shocked because they agree with the need for vaccines and want to maintain public confidence in the vaccine program.

Rev. Lisa Sykes, President of CoMeD and mother of a mercury-poisoned child, responded, "Mercury is known to cause serious harm, especially to fetuses and children because of their smaller size. Why remove Thimerosal from pediatric vaccines only to inject it into pregnant women and children with recommended flu shots? They removed Thimerosal from other vaccines, so it should also be removed from flu shots."

Most flu shots contain mercury, but few know it

A record 130 million Americans are expected to get a flu shot this season in hopes of ducking the nasty virus, but as the needle pierces the skin more than 80% will also get what some say is a hefty and dangerous dose of mercury.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that almost everyone - including pregnant women - get the injection, despite written warnings from the vaccine manufacturers.

Citing an estimated 36,000 deaths a year from the flu and flu-related illness, the mainstream medical community, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Lung Association, says the benefits far exceed any risk from the shot.

In a typical year between 5% and 10% of the population will get the flu virus, resulting in roughly 200,000 hospitalizations, according to the CDC. The flu can be especially dangerous for very young children and people 65 and older. Elderly people account for about 90% of all flu-related deaths.

Simply stated: The flu shot saves lives, the CDC says.

Yet a growing number of doctors, scientists and citizen organizations, such as Safe Minds, the Coalition for Mercury-Free Drugs and Moms Against Mercury, say mercury in flu shots has not been proven to be safe and can be linked to neurological disorders and other serious problems. They push for mercury-free shots that are available in limited quantities but that few know about.

"Mercury causes tremendous damage to the brain," said Paul King, scientific adviser for the Coalition for Mercury-Free Drugs.

Mercury is among the most toxic heavy metals and is known to poison the central nervous system, liver, gastrointestinal tract and other systems in the body.

About 80% of all flu shots distributed in the United States contain a mercury-based preservative called thimerosal. Thimerosal consists of 49.6% ethyl mercury, an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal that allows manufacturers to sell the vaccine in large, multi-dose containers without fear of contamination.

The Environmental Protection Agency and federal Food and Drug Administration have not set an exposure limit for ethyl mercury. The FDA says it's continuing its efforts to reduce the exposure of infants, children and pregnant women to mercury from various sources.

The federal agencies have, however, set exposure limits for another organic and closely related form of mercury, methyl mercury - the type that comes from coal-fired power plants and is found in fish. They use that standard when estimating the safety of ethyl mercury.

Doctors and scientists debate the differences of the two forms in terms of how they affect the brain and body, but all agree: Both are toxins.

"Certainly it would be good to have no mercury exposure at all," said Jeanne Santoli, deputy director of immunization services division for the CDC. "But there's no conclusive scientific evidence that the amount of mercury one might get from a flu shot is linked with any neurological development outcome that's negative."

A typical 0.5 milliliter flu shot contains 25 micrograms - or 50,000 parts per billion - of mercury.

The EPA classifies a liquid with 200 parts per billion of mercury as hazardous waste. The limit for drinking water is 2 parts per billion.

Using the standards set for methyl mercury consumption - the kind that's in fish - an average 130-pound person getting the flu shot would exceed the daily limit by more than four times. A 22-pound baby would get more than 25 times the amount of mercury considered safe. And doctors are recommending that many babies and children get two flu shots this season.

A material safety data sheet from Eli Lilly and Co., which no longer makes a flu vaccine, says effects of exposure to thimerosal may include "fetal changes, decreased offspring survival and lung tissue changes. . . . Exposure in utero and in children may cause mild to severe mental retardation and mild to severe motor coordination impairment."

It does not state at what levels of exposure these consequences could occur.

The sheet is dated Dec. 22, 1999.

That same year, the Public Health Service agencies and American Academy of Pediatrics called for the reduction of thimerosal in all children's vaccines as a "precautionary measure." By 2001 it was eliminated from most vaccines, except for the flu shot. Converting to a preservative-free flu shot would take more time.

Effects uncertain

The CDC and National Institutes of Health have commissioned a number of studies looking at vaccine safety and any links vaccines might have with autism. In 2001 the Institute of Medicine reported that the evidence was inadequate to say whether thimerosal caused autism or other disorders. The issue warranted further investigation, the report stated.

Several other studies followed. In 2004, the Institute of Medicine reported that they couldn't find a causal relationship between thimerosal-containing vaccines and autism.

This September another study published in the New England Journal of Medicine was unable to prove a causal relationship between early exposure to thimerosal and neuropsychological outcomes in children ages 7 to 10. It did not address possible links with autism.

Amid all the uncertainty and considering that mercury is a known neurotoxin, several states, such as California, Illinois and New York, have banned thimerosal in vaccines - including the flu shot - given to young children and pregnant women.

Yet every day, in grocery stores, fast food restaurants, pharmacies, at work and elsewhere, people are bombarded with the message to "Shoo the flu" and repeatedly told "the best way to beat the flu is to get a flu shot."

Nothing is ever mentioned about thimerosal.

Nothing is ever said about the manufacturers' warnings for pregnant women.

In late October the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists reminded all pregnant women to get the flu shot.

"Flu vaccination is an essential part of prenatal care that provides protection to both women and their babies," the organization wrote in a press release.

Yet the country's largest maker of the flu vaccine, Sanofi Pasteur, in its own literature distributed in package inserts with the vaccine, specifically states:

"Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with Influenza Virus Vaccine. It is also not known whether Influenza Virus Vaccine can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. Influenza Virus Vaccine should be given to a pregnant woman only if clearly needed."

The same warning appears on package inserts for vaccines that do not contain thimerosal.

Other flu vaccine makers include similar warnings in package inserts for both types of flu shots.

Novartis, maker of Fluvirin, goes on to instruct that the "clinical judgment of the attending physician should prevail at all times in determining whether to administer the vaccine to a pregnant woman."

Yet physicians aren't present at most flu clinics. So, many, such as Aurora Health Care's Visiting Nurse Association, rely on information from the federal government and medical associations.

"The CDC recommends all pregnant women get them," said Lisa Taylor, a registered nurse and clinical coordinator for Aurora Health Care's Shoo the Flu program, which will vaccinate an estimated 90,000 people around southeastern Wisconsin this season.

The CDC cites one study supporting its claim that the vaccination is safe for pregnant women - a 1973 study designed primarily to look at tumors in children up to 1 year old whose mothers received a polio vaccination. It included a sentence stating that one child of more than 2,000 mothers vaccinated with the flu vaccine had a spinal cord tumor.

"It's ridiculous," said David Ayoub, a physician and medical director of Springfield, Ill.-based Prairie Collaborative for Immunization Safety, a group concerned about mercury in vaccinations. "It's a big, big deception.

"Half the kids could have died, but the study never would have shown that because they were specifically looking for tumors," said Ayoub, co-author of "Influenza Vaccination During Pregnancy: A Critical Assessment of the Recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices," published in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons in 2006.

Still the CDC defends the study, calling it "relevant" and says other studies also demonstrate the vaccine's safety during pregnancy.

"If there was any evidence that this is unsafe in pregnancy, it's likely the (CDC's advisory committee) would not be recommending it," said Anthony Fiore, a medical epidemiologist with the CDC. "It's a vaccine that's been given to pregnant women for decades."

Fiore also acknowledged that not enough is known about its safety.

"We would love to have better data on flu vaccine safety in all types of persons," he said.

Grass-roots groups, such as the North Carolina-based Moms Against Mercury, say it is just that lack of data that stokes their opposition to mercury-laden inoculations recommended for the masses.

"They are putting out a lot of false information about its safety," said Amy Carson, founder of the non-profit group.

Some thimerosal-free

Vaccine manufacturers such as Sanofi Pasteur, MedImmune and Novartis say they're ramping up production of thimerosal-free vaccines but don't have capacity to convert all the flu shots immediately.

"Our ultimate goal is to be entirely (preservative)-free," said Sanofi Pasteur spokeswoman Patricia Tomsky. "But it takes more time and effort to make single doses."

A thimerosal-free vaccine costs roughly $3 to $4 more per shot, Tomsky said.

The Wisconsin Department of Health and Human Services said about one third of its supply this flu season will be thimerosal-free. People need to ask for it, if they want it, health officials say.

But many people aren't aware that mercury is in the flu shot.

"I didn't know," said Kate Strzok, a 23-year-old Oak Creek woman, as she walked out of the Piggly Wiggly where she had just gotten the flu shot. "Interesting that they don't tell you."

Even though the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend most people to get a flu shot, a new review of studies finds that it may actually not be 100 percent effective at guarding against the flu -- in fact, the effectiveness may only be 59 percent for people ages 18 to 65.

The review, published in the journal The Lancet, examined the efficacy of the most commonly used flu shot in the United States, the trivalent inactivated vaccine (TIV). The shot makes up 90 percent of all flu shots given in the U.S., WebMD reported.

Scientists from the University of Minnesota Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy screened the findings of 31 studies to determine the percent effectiveness, according to the study.

Their findings differ from the 73 percent effectiveness that was concluded by a review published last year by the Cochrane Collaboration, according to MSNBC.

MSNBC reports a possible reason for the discrepancy:

A major difference between Osterholm’s meta-analysis [the new review] and the Cochrane reviews is the type of studies they included. Osterholm's used only studies that confirmed the presence of influenza virus in sick people with either sophisticated polymerase chain reaction technology, or PCR, or laboratory cultures. PCR can take a single piece of DNA and generate thousands to millions of copies. The Cochrane reviews, on the other hand, included studies that determined whether sick people had the flu by checking to see whether they had elevated levels of flu antibodies in their blood, not whether influenza virus was present.

"The studies we present are the very best studies that we have for the last 70 years," study researcher Michael Osterholm told MSNBC.

Researchers also examined the efficacy of the nasal spray vaccine (approved for people ages 2 to 49), and found that it is 83 percent effective for kids ages 6 months to 7 years, WebMD reported.

"The [nasal spray flu vaccine] works very well in children, but it has never been preferentially recommended," Osterholm told WebMD. "We could potentially have a much greater impact in preventing influenza if we were to encourage the use of [the nasal spray flu vaccine] in that group."

According to WebMD, the flu shot is 70 to 90 percent effective for healthy adults, though theeffectiveness could also be impacted by your age, the timing of when you get the shot and other medical conditions you may have.

Recently, a study was published in theInternational Journal of Obesity, indicating that the flu shot may be less effective for people who are obese or overweight, Everyday Health reported.

The CDC recommends that everyone ages 6 months and older get a flu shot, especially high-risk people who include kids ages 2 to 5, adults ages 65 and older, pregnant women, and people with other medical conditions.

In the last few days it has been suggested that because I spend so much time on facebook my life is sad and my page is depressing because I'm a "do gooder". I don't see how this is the case.

I'm alive so I get blue some times, but to be honest with you my life is pretty awesome. Like today for example.

I woke up in the large hairy arms of a younger man while it was raining outside.

WINNING! I got up and had raspberry cheesecake muffins with my kids. Fantastic. It was raining so I couldn't make the kids do their farm chores like we usually do, but this is TX so yay rain! I did have to force my oldest to do some school work because I don't want him to get rusty over thanksgiving break. It was like pulling teeth but he did it so I consider it a win. Then the kids and I went with my mom to our local HEB to get the stuff for Thanksgiving. It was a fun trip. Crazy, but fun. Then I got home put the kids down for a nap. Ate pumpkin pie with cool whip. Did my Zumba work out. I get youtube videos put them on a play list and hook the computer up to my TV.

I will post the ones I use, but you can look for ones you like there are an ass load of them. Then took my shower then started writing my blog. Since I can not stand to be sitting still ever I still managed to post a 1000 things on facebook. Oh yeah and my transcript finally got sent to my school. I'm going back to college in the spring to finally finish up that. I'm looking forward to it.

Could my life be better? Sure. All in all I'm still really lucky.

I have had serious writer's block lately. Here's hoping if I just start writing again something will come out.

I bit into what I thought was a muffin earlier and it turned out to be some kind of inside out cupcake that was filled with chocolate icing. It was AMAZING , but diffidently the devil’s work. Everything is trying to make me fat.

I have been in a huge funk. Recently I have become a single mom again and it has really thrown me off. It went as well as a break up can go, but still a bummer. Hippie liberal single momma. Ha ha.

I wanted to do a PSA on spiked collars. They don’t just look awesome, but they protect the dogs neck. So if you live in a place with a lot of strays, or you have strange dogs around, or your dogs are rough and you have to leave them alone together you might want to look into one.

I think I look way too much like I did when I was 14 except with a few extra pounds. I don’t know how I feel about that. Especially since I feel like I’m a senior citizen. I did look pretty old for 14. Don’t guess it matters.

Moving on. Ok Occupy Wall Street seems to be picking up steam :thumbs up: . Not as much stuff in the news as I would like, but it’s going better then I thought it would. There has been poop slinging from Fox (of course), but all in all not too bad. I don’t know how so many people don’t get what it is about, but it takes a while for people to pay attention then wade through the misinformation (if they ever accomplish it at all). BTW who ever that asshole was who shit on the cop car FUCK YOU! Some one take him behind the shed. I’m not sure if he was really part of the protest or just some picture someone found since I have never seen any info on where it came from other then people bitching, but he is not helping the cause. We need people out there, but not crazy assholes. The world is judging OWS harshly. Plus watch your ass for saboteurs and assholes.

I took my kids to the park today. There was a man there who was constantly bitching at the woman and young child (I would guess he was under 2 years) he was there with. I'm not sure if he was loudly bitching but I was actively trying to ignore him and couldn't pull it off. He was going all drill sergeant on the kid. Making him play on the older kid toys that he didn't want to go on. Bitching at the mother for trying to help him. Just a complete ass. Right before we left he was swinging real high on the kids swings (the ones that or only like 3 inches off the ground) jumped out, busted his ass, and slid into the wall. My first thought was OH MY GOD DID I DO THAT WITH MY MIND? I had schadenfreude the whole way home.

I know my infatuation with the human body, strippers, hookers, trampy looking models has come off at times as not very feminist like, but I think it is. Hear me out.

I'll start out with the old argument that women getting naked when they want to is empowering. The key word being want. Granted that is if they want to because they want to and not because they are messed up in the head or have daddy issues. Even then that is their own deal that they need to fix it doesn't bring down women. Getting money to do it is very empowering.

It makes us more equal then someone might think. It is easier for a man to make a descent living with out an education because there are plenty of manual labor jobs. Not too many people look down on a construction worker and say they are degrading themselves. Why do they look down on strippers? Who are also just using their body to make money. We are all just trying to use what god gave us to do they best we can.

People say busty models are bad for women. I don't see it. They have male models and it does not make women think men are just objects. If men think women are objects they are going to think that if their are dirty pictures or not.

Hookers are just doing manual labor. You don't think a lot of those construction workers wouldn't have sex for money if it was super easy?

I sure as hell don't see a problem with women doing what they want to do with what they got. More power to them. It is not a good long term plan since looks don't last long. Plus you have to stay on your toes so you don't become a coke whore, but that has nothing to do with bringing women down.

Plus porn is just awesome.

We need to teach girls (and boys) that they should not be threatened by models and make sure they have good self esteem. We need to teach boys (and girls) that all people are people no matter what is between their legs and need to be treated with a certain level of respect. Make sure they are well rounded and not on blow. As a country we need to get our priorities straight. Hookers are not what is bringing this country down. Republicans and wall street are whats bringing this country down. They are the real bitches keeping women down. Give those hookers voter registration cards maybe we can get this shit legalized and help the economy and their safety.

Strangely enough republicans love hookers and porn when no one is watching.

Gardasil has been in the news a lot this week. Michele Bachmann got up in front of god and everyone and said it causes mental retardation. :sigh: Even for someone like her I was shocked. There is a giant list of well known side effects to gardasil. I mean an ass load. You have a good chance of naming one if you just start randomly stringing words together. She pretty much named the one thing it does not cause (as far as I know).

Distorting facts to make some one look bad is just a sad tactic. They should stop down playing the serious side effects of a drug not proven beneficial for these young girls. On top of that while bashing Bachmann the harmless oaf they are making Rick Perry look reasonable. A man who was bribed by merck for way more the 5,000 to mandate a dangerous drug on young girls against theirs and their parents wishes. A man who if we like it or not might be a serious contender for Obama job (vomit).

The media is doing it again. Manipulating it to make anyone who question big corporations look crazy. Remember when that woman sued McDonalds for her hot coffee burning her? She was prosecuted in the media. Even though that particular McDanalds have been ticketed multiple times for selling their coffee at dangerous temperatures. They decided them saving money on coffee was more important then public safety. They got sued and people lost their damn minds because one woman with a fucked up lap won a law suit against one of the largest corporations in the world. That probably wouldn't happen today. Corporation are more powerful. But I got off topic.

People are afraid to even talk about it.

Now they are trying to mandate it in California. Do not get this confused this is not about children safety or sex. These mandates are bought and paid for by drug companies. This is a sick abuse of power and disgusting violation of parental rights.

1. They can't prove it will work.

2. In the US the vaccine is either as, or more deadly then cervical cancer. Depending on whose numbers you are using.

3. The government will not be with those children if they have a vaccine reaction.

4. You still have to get pap smears because it does not keep you from getting HPV or cancer.

People keep trying to argue that this vaccine does not cause mental retardation and does not make girls slutty. WOOPIE FUCKING DO! That doesn't make it a safe vaccine.

Me: Fantastic, but has nothing to do with gardasil.

Them: It's FDA approve.

Me: So? FDA approved drugs are proven dangerous all the time.

Them: You're just fear mongering.

Me: People can't seem to find any flaws in my logic or data, but I'm fear mongering. I get that reality is scary, but come on people. Put on your big girl panties and deal with this shit. People say if you don't buy this shot you will die of cancer and I'm fear mongering. Even though cervical cancer is very rare.

Them: You're just anti vaccine because your son has Autism.

Me: Really? because my son has had vaccines. So has his younger siblings. Not gardasil because HPV is the common cold of std that 80% of sexual active people will have at one time in their lives, and in 90% of the cases clears up on it's own. Plus the only way to prevent cervical cancer is regular pap smears even with the shot. Cervical cancer is very rare in the US and declining with out the vaccine due to more women getting pap smears. It has not been proven to work with a side effect of death. I would think my years of research and personal experience would be considered a good thing when it came to a discussion about vaccines. You're welcome.

Me:Yes it is, but so is teenagers dying from vaccines that has not be proven to stop cancer.

Here is a novel concept why can't we just have unbiased education and let parents decide if they want the vaccine? I really wish Republicans would stop pushing this shit on children and everyone would just pull their heads out of their asses and maybe do some of their own research before developing a strong opinion about something.
