May 16th is Love A Tree Day. This goes out to the General Sherman Tree in Sequoia National Park. 2,500 years old, 275 feet high, 600,000 board feet of lumber.

Siordia Showing His Number One

Yep, not only did the HippyTree Tribe sweep the longboard competition at the Western Surfing Association at San Onofre this past weekend… local South Bay logger Mike Siordia took first place in the longboard division at the South Bay Boardrider’s competition held at the Manhattan Beach Pier.

HippyTree Tribe swept 1st, 2nd and 3rd place longboard finishes at the Western Surfing Association Championships held at Church Beach, San Onofre State Park this past weekend. Tribesman Dylan Cox took first place (top photo), Trevor Robbins (bottom photo, right) nabbed second and Ricky Cunningham (bottom photo, left) took third. Special congrats go out to Dylan Cox (double fisting trophies) who was also awarded the first place crown for overall champion of the season.
