Ideas for Kids’ Health Fair

Organize a kids’ health fair to attract their attention towards their health-related activities.

It will prove very helpful in making them conscious about their health and safety and at the same time they will learn significance of nutrition for their healthy growth. I have recently conducted a kids’ health fair and used some of the most effective methods and ideas to make kids aware of healthy activities. These ideas proved to be the best so I want to share these ideas with you also:

Kids are fond of cycling as it is an enjoyable activity but they are not aware of safety rules and measures which they need to follow while cycling. To make them aware of safety rules, you can show them a video about bicycle safety. After that, you can invite people to a bicycle safety course where they can ride keeping in mind all the rules. Appoint a referee who can make sure that participants are following correct hand signals, wearing safety gears and following road signs. You can manage to take pictures of participants during course and then gift them to remind them that they have to become safe riders.
Yoga is also a healthy activity so you can arrange a yoga session and encourage kids to participate in it. Make it clear to them that yoga helps a lot in relaxing their body and keeps them healthy to face different challenges of their daily lives. To help them in learning yoga, you can demonstrate a number of poses in front of them and then ask them to do the same. Also explain benefits of each pose and tell them how it can work for them in relaxing their body. You can distribute yoga pamphlets having different poses. It is very simple to make a pamphlet but if you want to save your efforts and time, you can use a yoga pamphlet template.
Arrange a hand-washing booth to help the children understand importance of washing hands. Explain them how germs spread everywhere and without washing hands before meals they can enter body to make them ill. Show kids how they can get rid of germs by washing their hands with a medicated soap or hand wash solution.
Organize a question answer session allowing kids to ask questions that come to their minds about their health. You can ask simple questions to kids and encourage them to answer. At the end of this session, give them bags having safety stickers, sugar-free candies and stuff like that.
These days kids like junk food to eat instead of healthy one so it is important to make them conscious about this fact that healthy food is necessary for their proper growth. You can give them brochures having pictures of healthy food which they can eat as an alternate of junk food.
