A few scenes for Kotha Bangaru Lokam are heavily inspired / borrowed from a Hollywood Movie called "Dead Poet's Society" (1989).

Kotha Bangaru Lokam Review: This movie is a typical teenage comic-love caper. The cast is young and fresh, and the movie is set in a high school.

The comic sequences are the highlight of this movie, especially the sequences involving "Brahmanandam". If you are looking for 2-1/2hrs of light-hearted entertainment, then you are in for a treat.

The 2008 Kotha Bangaru story revolves revolves around the theme of attraction and love, and how two teenagers try to understand and cope with their first love. Due to the resistance from the family, they decide to elope. But, last minute emergencies, put a spanner in their plans.

KING Telugu Movie Story Line

King aka Chandra Pratap Varma (Nagarjuna) hails from a royal family and he takes over the legacy and riches after the death of his father Raja Varma (Sobhan Babu). King works hard to live up to his father’s name. He has kid brother (Deepak) too and lives with large family consisting of his mom (Geeta) and uncles and their family members. On his business trip to Uttaranchal, he is killed by Swapna (Mamta Mohandas) aided by King’s arch rival. Enters Bottu Seenu, a street rowdy, a look-alike of King. Bottu Seenu falls in love with Sravani (Trisha) an aspiring singer who is also sister to don Jnaneshwar (Srihari). To impress Sravani, Bottu Seenu gets introduced himself to her as a software engineer called Sharat. The rest of the movie unravels the mystery behind the killing of King, and the identity of Bottu Seenu.

As I am interested in networking with Telugu people around the globe I analyzed the numbers by regions, this time excluding India.

Happy Days is a 2007 Telugu film Directed by Sekhar Kammula. The film was very popular in Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. The target audience for this movie was primarily the engineering college students in these states. Same Telugu movie is dubbed into Malayalam.

Sekhar Kammula ran a talent search at Big FM and idlebrain.com and managed to select 7 out of 8 lead actors, but had to cast Tamanna as a suitable actress was not found. Actors were chosen to suit the characters. The main lead of the film was selected using the internet without any direct audition. Varun Sandesh, who played Chandu, did not audition with anyone from the Happy Days production team. He sent his photograph by email in response to idlebrain.com advertisement and subsequently sent a video clip of himself acting out certain scenes along with a song via Google Video.

I just finished writing the last post about Magadheera MP3 Songs and realized that the Magadheera movie is realizing today. 1500 prints all over the world. So with all the excitement I am searching around web for reviews. And voila!! I found on on Greatandhra.com.

I was really happy that they gave 4/5 rating. After a long time Magadheera is the latest movie with that rating. They titled the review as "Magadheera' Review: It’s Not A Movie-But Historical Wonder!! "

Magadheera Story line

Harsha (Ram Charan) is a young man who earns money on bike races and bets. He loves such adventures on two wheelers. He happens to touch the hand of a young girl Indu (Kajal) accidentally and that ‘soul touch’ connects his present to the past.

With no hits so far at the box office definitely this will be a Big Hit in Telugu film history. I still got to watch the movie though ;)
