This is my birthday dress! Mum found it in a charity shop (£3), originally Motel. The coat's Mantaray, all jewellery vintage & the boots Stylist Pick.

This week's going to be a bit crazed. I have a lot of catching up to do, shoots, seeing old friends and generally sorting stuff out. My dad took a look at my laptop and thinks it's the fact I have TOO many anti-viruses on my laptop. Not a virus but i'm too protected. We're taking it in so "they" (the laptop gods) can have a major clean up. Sigh.

My Week In Multiple Exposures

Ventured to a nearby village to take photos today. I always go past it on the way to a friend's house but i've never properly had a look round. Started at the church, two minutes in a man comes over, shakes my hand and "nicely" asks me to leave. Well, I'm not exactly church friendly and i'm not sure how well bibles sell on ebay but seriously? I leave and walk round a curve and somehow end up at the back of the church. Not even on purpose. A few sneaky photos later I wander off. The rest of the village seemed friendly enough though (& they have a cute yarn shop !).

I'm now on Instagram! (hivenn) My dad got me an iphone for my birthday, I eventually managed to set it up and yes. So cool.

My laptop's not happy. It's running at about 1/5 of the normal speed and blips out. As a girl who gets frustrated and clicks around loads, this is no good. Pretty please fix it for me? I'll pay you in party rings and hashbrowns.

I have a few really exciting shoots this week! Wolford sent me a few samples and when they arrived I was like a five year old with a brand new train set. That can also fly and produce endless sweeties (I wasn't a barbie girl ,sorry).

Today's Chinese New Year , my birthday and the official most depressing day of the year! It's my last year as a teenager which is pretty scary, there are so, so many things I want to achieve by the time i'm twenty. The last year's been the good kind of crazy.

Anyway. Thanks for all your birthday messages! I'm going for a famalam meal later. My brother even went out to buy a tie (n'awh) for the occasion.

The £1 Shoe

With Miista's twitter campaign, I bought these (both, not just one shoe) for ONE POUND. That's less than a bar of decent sized Galaxy or a couple of stamps. I spotted a tweet from Daisy about tweeting a shoe cheaper. I had no idea what she meant but I tweeted too (and so did a few lovely other people) and the shoes were further and further reduced. Suddenly they were £1. Very well, I thought and BOUGHT THEM. Of course I did. They arrived last week (quick delivery) and they're so good. Worth sacrificing one hundred penny sweets for, for sure.

Today I had my photoshoot with Louise & smoke bombs! It was da bomb (seriously not serious) and we managed not to set any fire alarms off.

Christmas Jumpers

Bit late for my planned "Christmas" jumper post but it's still January, so i'm still good, right? The first jumper's a DIY (base jumper from H&M), the Topshop Christmas jumpers were tempting until I saw the £50 price tag (and remembered that every other person's going to be wearing them) so decided to make my own. Felt and sewing later, here we are. The second's from UO (sale, £10!) ,third TKMAXX & the last I spotted on Steffy's blog and had to have it.

Me Time

These are the last of Devon. The first photo was taken just before I got the train home. The lake (AND swans) were just casually there, people walking past didn't really look and I was simply in awe. I think when I was younger and went to Devon I didn't look around as much (I was a head down please don't look at me kid). I've known Chlay since I was twelve. I think I went down to stay first when I was thirteen and she's been my wifey ever since. It's hard when your bestest best friend lives a massive train journey away but we still talk on the phone nearly every day. She's helped me through a ridiculous amount of crap. Love you Chlay bay.

The first dress is from Gap,the second's vintage and the shoes, UNIF. They now do Hellraisers with gold spikes! I need them.

It's my nineteenth birthday in eight days! Apart from going to Monterey Bay Aquarium/Legoland I have no idea what to do. I'm hopefully getting an Iphone from my Dad (I already feel addicted to Instagram) and I think i'm going to ask for money from "everyone else" as I want to save up for a lens.

Anyway, this week has been rather quiet, gathering my bearings after getting back. I dyed my roots and re-blued my hair. I'm now back to the shade I love. I have a really exciting shoot tomorrow with Louise & smoke bombs! I want to say something about it being da bomb but I'll save that joke until after.

Cross-Processed Devon

More from Devon! The first taken about two steps away from my hotel, same with the second & third, fourth the flaming brownie at Chlay's, Chlay & I, behind the hotel through mesh & a bird.

I pretty much want to use Crossbird film (aka cross-processing) every time I take photos. So much so ,I'd take a separate camera with me everywhere loaded and ready just to take one photo (but then I'd realise how ridiculously heavy my bag is already and relent).

I've been less wordy recently as I haven't been too well. This will change soon. I hope you're having a lovely week!

I arrived in Devon and to all the beautiful green-ness (and spotted a waterfall just outside my hotel window!) Friday. Slept. Chlay time. A roast courtesy of Chlay's daddy and just before I left he produced a flaming brownie. So awesome. Home time sunday. I'm already planning when i'm going back.

Me Time

This dress is incredibly short. I do love it, it's from Monki but oh it's short. When I was younger (and smaller) I mainly wore the "is it a top or a dress(?)" dress. As i've got older, the lengths have got longer. I'm quite tall (5"10) so I get it ,but y'know, I like the freedom to bend over without worry.

I spent new years with a close friend. He travels a lot so I don't get to see him as much as i'd like so it was really nice. New year's day I went out for lunch with my dad & his new girlf. She was a bit shy but nice enough. Succesfully managed to not fall asleep at the table.
Yesterday I saw Puss in Boots (3D) with Grace, my cousin. It's a bit strange gossiping with a fourteen year old, remembering to erase certain bits but the different perspective is good (Puss in Boots was brilliant too).

I'm going to Devon to see Chlay (bestie) this weekend! She was in hospital last time so we rescheduled and the time's here. I really can't wait to see her.
