The Hiway Theatre is an historic, one-screen, first-run movie theater located in the heart of Jenkintown, PA and is also a 501(c)3 non profit or ganization. Our mission is to preserve the historic Hiway Theatre and keep a local tradition alive for people passionate about film and the cinematic experience. Tracing our history back to 1913, the Hiway is unique among one-screen theaters as a member-supported, non profit, movie house dedicated to first-run film programming.You do not have to be a member to attend our shows and special programs. However, your tax-deductible support, in the form of donations and memberships, helps us to continue the programs you enjoy. ATTN: REFUNDS FOR TIX HOLDERS FOR MAY 22 EVENT

CANCELLED UNTIL LATE SUMMER–The distributor of the event has cancelled all shows due to an issue that the producers of the documentary could not resolve in time for the scheduled May dates.

Tix holders will receive a full refund of their tix price or passes equal to the number of tickets purchased–passes are good for any first-run films at the Hiway Theatre. NOTE: passes can be received during box office hours throughout the days leading up to May 22; cash or credit refunds can only be done in person during box office hours ON MAY 22, up to 7PM .

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and hope to bring this event to the Hiway when it becomes available again.

Synopsis: The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel follows a group of British retirees who decide to “outsource” their retirement to less expensive and seemingly exotic India. Enticed by advertisements for the newly restored Marigold Hotel and bolstered with visions of a life of leisure, they arrive to find the palace a shell of its former self. Though the new environment is less luxurious than imagined, they are forever transformed by their shared experiences, discovering that life and love can begin again when you let go of the past.
