Conrad Felice brings extensive international tunneling expertise to the firm

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 16, 2012) – HNTB continues to enhance and expand its tunnel practice with the recent addition of Conrad Felice—a tunneling expert and a recognized authority in safety and security of tunnels and underground facilities with more than 30 years of direct project experience.

Conrad Felice, Ph.D., P.E., P.Eng., D.GE., joins HNTB as a vice president and technical director of tunnel services.

HNTB’s Ted Zoli designed the bridge connecting communities in New York and Vermont

NEW YORK (May 15, 2012) – Ted Zoli, PE, HNTB national bridge chief engineer, will deliver the keynote address to kick off the Grand Celebration to re-open Lake Champlain Bridge at 9 a.m. this Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Crown Point State Historic Site in New York.

When Lake Champlain Bridge closed unexpectedly in 2009, Zoli, a Glens Falls, N.Y., native, and his team designed a replacement structure in just 10 weeks.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 26, 2012) – HNTB Corporation has earned national recognition from one of the nation's top engineering professional associations, the American Council of Engineering Companies.

During the Engineering Excellence Awards Gala April 17, 2012, ACEC announced HNTB had received a Grand Award for its work on the U.S. 82 Greenville Bridge in Greenville, Miss., placing it among the top eight of more than 140 projects honored.

HNTB Corporation works closely with New York State Department of Transportation to incorporate environmental sustainability in landmark project.

NEW YORK (April 23, 2012) -- In commemoration of Earth Day 2012, New York State Department of Transportation Commissioner Joan McDonald presented an “evergreen” award to the Lake Champlain Bridge project in the state’s first-in-the-nation Green Leadership in Transportation and Environmental Sustainability (GreenLITES) program.

The Lake Champlain Bridge is located in Crown Point, NY and is a primary connection between New York and Vermont. The bridge closed unexpectedly in 2009 due to the discovery of severe deterioration and then subsequently demolished.

Theodore P. Zoli receives ENR’s 2012 Award of Excellence

Internationally known engineer is recognized for his innovations in bridge design

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 13, 2012) – Theodore (Ted) P. Zoli, PE, national bridge chief engineer for HNTB Corporation, has received the construction industry’s most prestigious honor: Engineering News-Record’s Award of Excellence for 2012. The award was presented April 12, 2012, at ENR’s annual black-tie gala in New York City. More than 1,500 guests attended the event.

ENR selected Zoli from a list of what the magazine dubbed the Top 25 Newsmakers of 2011.
