The OSI Model for AI Agents: A New Way to Understand Modern Assistants

OSI model was extremely useful in my early years trying to understand the computer architecture and I even wrote a small animation to train students at a small school in New Jeresy.

Over the past few months, I’ve been thinking about AI agents not as magical black boxes, but as layered systems—structured, disciplined, and surprisingly similar to the classic OSI networking model we all learned in engineering school.

The more I examined how platforms like Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Perplexity actually work, the clearer the analogy became. These assistants aren’t just “LLMs with a UI.” They are multi‑layered agentic stacks, each layer with its own responsibilities, boundaries, and failure modes.

So I decided to map them 1:1 against the OSI architecture. The result is surprisingly elegant.

Why an OSI-Style Model for Agents make sense

The OSI model succeeded because it gave us:

clear separation of concerns
predictable interfaces
layered responsibility
isolation between functions
a mental model for debugging

AI agents today desperately need the same clarity. We talk about “agents,” “tools,” “models,” and “sandboxes” as if they’re interchangeable. They’re not.

Once you see the layers, the entire ecosystem becomes easier to reason about.

A 1:1 Mapping: OSI Layers-> AI Agent Layers

Here is the mapping I propose — a conceptual but accurate alignment between the OSI stack and the emerging “Agent Stack.”

Walking Through the Layers

Layer 1 — Model Layer (LLM Core)

This is the “raw intelligence.” It knows nothing about tools, files, browsing, or your device. It is pure text‑in → text‑out.

Platforms like GlobalGPT stop here.

Layer 2 — Tool Interface Layer

This is where the agent learns to act:

browse the web
run code
analyze files
call APIs

Each tool is wrapped with permissions and rate limits.

Layer 3 — Sandbox / Execution Layer

This is the most misunderstood layer.

It provides:

isolation
safe execution
permission boundaries
logging
audit trails

Crucially: Free and Pro versions of Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity share the same sandbox. Pro adds capability, not security.

Layer 4 — Orchestration Layer

This is the “session layer” of agents.

It decides:

when to call tools
how to break tasks into steps
how to maintain context
how to avoid runaway behavior

This is where “agentic behavior” actually lives.

Layer 5 — Assistant UI Layer

Everything the user sees:

chat interface
file uploads
voice mode
extensions
history

It’s the presentation layer of the agent world.

Layer 6 — User Context Layer

This is the true “application layer”:

identity
permissions
enterprise policy
Drive/Office/Workspace access
device context

It determines what the agent is allowed to do.

Why This Should Matte

Once you see the layers, several things become obvious:

1. “Agentic capability” is not the same as “model capability.”

Agents require layers 2–4. Models only provide layer 1.

2. Free vs Pro does not change security.

The sandbox is part of the platform’s architecture, not a paid feature.

3. GlobalGPT is not an agent.

Least expensive group of AI

It has only the Model Layer. No sandbox, no tools, no orchestration.

4. Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity are full-stack agents.

They implement all six layers.

I tried to get this through my head while asking myself whether I should go for GlobalGPT or one of the Pro programmes.

🔒 When Identity Security Becomes a Wall — Not a Shield

After a breach that forced a reset of my digital identity, I hit a roadblock I never anticipated: multi-factor authentication (2FA) locked me out of critical Microsoft services with no reliable way to prove who I was.

Despite years of interaction, billing history, and documented correspondence, access couldn’t be restored. Support channels were opaque. Recovery methods? Virtually nonexistent.

SQL SERVER 2025, AI and Vector Search

The advent of AI has ushered in ground breaking changes in most areas of technology. AI is synonymous with a humongous amount of data, data of all types including text, image, audio and video. The databases of the future needs to cater to this changing vista of data and yet compatible with existing technologies.

Microsoft SQL Server has always catered to the technological changes and along its developmental path has introduced many data types to handle diverse data varieties and in recent years has introduced data types such as, "Json', "Stock" and "Geographical" data types. These address the stock market and the geographical data that accompanies all global operations.

In addition to data types, it has also changed itself to accommodate not only relational data but also non-relational NoSQL type of data using integration with polyphase technology.

Vector Data Type

SQL Server 2025 has introduced a new **vector data type** designed to store vector data optimized for operations like similarity search and machine learning applications. This is quite a leap for a relational database management system (RDBMS), as it traditionally handles structured data but can handle NoSQL Data.

How is Vector datatype stored in the SQL Server 2025?

A vector in SQL Server is typically stored as a JSON array of floating-point values. Here's an example of how you might define and use a vector in SQL Server:

This table with two columns has a column of vector data type not null. The vectors are [0.11, 2, -35] and [-100.2, 0.0123, 9.876]

The columns store three dimensional vectors with each dimension stored as a single-precision floating point (float type).

Vector Data Type is not available in 2022

The vector data type is not available in SQL Server 2022. You may have to store vector data type in a JSON column or something customized.

Image Processing and AI

In recent times image processing has been intensely studied. One may ask how to store the dimensional representation of an image. Well, images can have a very high dimensional representation.

• Grayscale Image: A 100x100 pixel grayscale image can be represented as a 10,000-dimensional vector (100x100 = 10,000).

• Color Image: A 100x100 pixel color image with RGB channels can be represented as a 30,000-dimensional vector (100x100x3 = 30,000).

In SQL Server 2025, the maximum number of dimensions that can be stored using the vector data type is 1998. Each element of the vector is stored as a single-precision (4-byte) floating-point value.

Can image dimensions be stored in SQL Server 2025?

The short answer for storing image dimensions in SQL Server is that it is not possible to store image dimensions without reducing the number of dimensions. There are techniques to reduce the dimensions with various pay offs in quality. We shall discuss them in a later post using a programming language such as python with the use of certain libraries.

Going forward in populating vector data type into the server the SQL Server Integration services can be used to preprocess the image data and then populate the database. This will also be for a future post.

Although the program connects to the installed version of SQL Server it is looking for a trusted connection by way of a certificate. There is a check box below Encryption (that has three options) shown above.

This connection is now OK and the SSMS is OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!!

I have not yet done looking at SQL Server 2022, SQL Server 2025 is ready to go. Microsoft is indeed relentless!

Microsoft announced SQL Server 2025 at the Microsoft Ignite event in Chicago. Now , AI spans all over the Microsoft Eco system and that includes SQL Server. This time around Microsoft introduced SQL Server 2025 and SQL database on Fabric.

SQL Server is integrated with AI with:

Vector search
Vector Indexing using DiskANN
T-SqL functions to support generation embedding and text chunking

Another useful feature added is the support for calling external REST APIs into SQL Server, a feature that existed in AZURE SQL Database. This AI feature makes it easy to store your AI models on premises and use them right away.

SQL Server 2025 will have optimized locking and will support native JSON datatype and improvements to Always on Availability groups. Also,GIT support for Microsoft Management Studio was announced. With this SSMS has now what is called a dark mode!

Furthermore, a new product was announced, the SQL Database on Fabric. Microsoft Fabric is its unified analytics platform that integrates various datatools under one title. It is supposed to simplify data analysis and insights for both professionals and business users.

Hey, Google does not have one such thing under a single title, but it has various functionalities dispersed in its cloud.

Vector Search

It is an incredibly useful tool. The reasons are listed here:

Iconic Monkeypod Tree Being Felled Despite Resident Opposition

The iconic monkeypod tree, a beloved landmark for many in the community, is currently being felled by a contracted crew ( Tree of Hawaii Inc.) despite opposition from some board members. This ongoing operation has left many residents feeling blindsided and frustrated by the homeowners' association (HOA)'s lack of transparency.

Neither the condominium owners nor the car owners who parked beneath the tree were informed beforehand of the impending removal, specifically the exact date and time of the operation. This lack of communication, coupled with the history of past disputes over tree removal within the community, has led to exclamations of "sneaky, underhanded, etc." operation.

Furthermore, residents question whether the condominium management company was aware of the planned removal and, if so, why they failed to inform the unit owners. This raises concerns about the communication channels and decision-making processes within the HOA.

Very important where you save your SQL Server Installation media files

This is a very important question. when I began using SQL Server for writing as well as for teaching, I used to take this for granted and used to store at the default location. Sometimes, I used to get into difficulty accessing the installation media as it was needed after a long interval and I would have made changes to my directory structure, or moved them to other places. However, it is very important where you save your SQL Server Installation media for a couple of reasons.

What's the need to save?

1. It provides a means for you to reinstall or repair your installation. You cannot do this task, if you do not have your installation media.

2. For Off-line installations, it is essential to have this media.

3. If you are having multiple installations, it ensures consistency. I used to have this media on a memory stick and have all my students install on their work stations.

What are suitable locations to save the media?

There are couple of options. Choose one that best suits your needs.

1. Local Drive: When you start installing you will find out how much space is needed on your computer's local drive. At a minimum, you need 6 GB of disc space for the custom installation with most options. If you include all extras it is about 8GB. In order to work comfortably, it can be about 10GB depending on the databases you are considering. Herein, some sample databases are assumed. The installation process brings up the space requirements during installation.

2. On a Network share. I could have set it up on the network share for my students, but I decided to give them a copy, if they wanted to play with it when not connected to the network.

3. If installation is on a virtual machine, an ISO would be suitable.

4. Mapped drive is another option.

5. On the Cloud: Cloud storage is yet another option. However, there may be cost in storage and data transfer involved. Latency is yet another factor to consider. Internet availability is most essential during the installation process.

The installation media folder can have any name of your choice. I usually accept the default name.

The SQL Server 2022 installation center's Option node is where you specify location of the media during installation.

I originally saved this media (SQL2022-SSEI-Dev.exe, 4191 KB) on my Download folder of the local drive.

The emergence of DeepSeek AI, a powerful Chinese language model, has sent shockwaves through the US AI industry. Last night, I downloaded DeepSeek to take a peek and lo and behold, at first sight, looked as good as the Copilot, Gemini AI, and others I have come across.

Well, what does it lack?

However, a notable limitation became apparent: DeepSeek lacks robust image generation capabilities. While it can provide code snippets (like Python with Kivy) to generate images, this approach is less user-friendly and may be hindered by the limitations of lower-end hardware in processing and rendering graphics. In contrast, US models excel in not only creating images but also seamlessly modifying them based on simple text prompts. This is clearly beyond low-end chips.

This development necessitates a renewed focus on innovation and optimization within the US AI sector. US developers must prioritize improving model efficiency and exploring alternative hardware solutions to maintain a competitive edge. While DeepSeek presents a significant challenge, it also serves as a valuable catalyst for further advancements in AI technology.

Any other disquieting news?

Slowing down a GIF has merits

GIFs are very engaging and dynamic images and they can run at a speed set at the time of creation. Well, some GIFs may look way better when run at a slow speed.

You can use Python code to slow down a GIF that is too fast for your liking. In the previous post, you learnt how to make a GIF from scratch using Python. In this post, you will use Python code to slow down a GIF. The post shows an example.

Here is a GIF that is somewhat fast. It is copied from a website.

Now here is the Python code that you can use to slow it down. The code shown is copied from my PyCharm user interface. If you copy and paste make sure the indentation requirements are satisfied.

The fast GIF is in the project folder in the path shown. The ImageSequence is the key. You get a sequence of images in the frame that you append to a list. Save the frames as a new GIF with a slower speed. Duration in PIL is absolute in milliseconds.

The code before the print saves the first frame(frames[0]) and it saves all the frames slowing down to a duration of 200 seconds and appends the rest of the frames starting from frame[1], the second frame in the sequence.

Here is the result of slowing down the original GIF.

Since we have a handle to the sequence, we can find the original frames and the original duration as well.

You have seen a GIF image and enjoyed it. But have you created one.? There are software programs to create GIFs and perhaps many online sites help creating GIFs. Here is one for example, https://www.canva.com/create/gif-maker/. Animation akin to GIFS can also be created using javascript although there may not be resulting image with a .gif extension.

GIFs are like very small duration video clips but they are really a composite of many small images flipped rapidly, in-situ to create the illusion of motion. They are made to impress you by their motion.

Why GIFS?

Imagine bringing life to a still photo of a sunset by animating the clouds. An image may be worth a thousand words, but a GIF is worth a thousand images. It adds dynamic movement to static images, unleashing your creativity. If you're active on social media, GIFs are an invaluable tool for self-expression, offering endless possibilities. They bring humor, emotion, and laughter to any page, transforming a collection of static images into a vibrant and engaging experience. With GIFs, you can elevate your storytelling to new heights!"

Ins and outs of using Python to create GIFs:

GIF images have the .gif extension which stands for Graphics Interchange Format.

In this post, I show you how to create from scratch a GIF using Python. Python uses a image library such as PIL to get the images into the program such as PyCharm. Once they are in the program, you need to use another library to do the flipping action. This library is called imageio, image input/output program. For GIFs this program takes in the images (a number of them) and then it customizes the duration each image is shown; whether the gif repeats itself and how many times it does, etc. Note: if you are new to PyCharm, read up my other Python/Image related posts in this blog, http://hodentekhelp.blogpost.com.

The program presented here also goes through the indexing of the images (as there are many images) which necessitate calling yet another useful library called NumPy. The imageio program cannot accept a image list, but a Numpy list and hence the use of the NumPy library.

In order to create a gif file in a python program, you need the following:

1. A set of images.

2. Importing libraries PIL, ImageIO and Numpy.

Here is are some five image files I am using in the program:

These are not the best, but enough for the purpose.

The above program creates a image file with .gif extension and images show for 2000 milliseconds and the GIF image runs five times in succession. If you have time elapsed stills of any event you can easily turn it into an amazingly dynamic image.

That is all there is to creating a GIF. If your images are made with care and are of good quality you can indeed create a good GIF.

The GIf file created, my_animation.gif can be seen in Photo app on your windows computer device, however you can just drag and drop the image on a browser should also work.

If you are a developer, the best option is the Developer version which provides:

Full featured free edition
Licensed for use as a development and test database
It is for non-production use

However, most purposes the SQL Server 2022 Express is adequate. It provides:

Free edition of SQL Server
Good fit for desktop development
Best fit for small server applications.

The SQL Server editions may be installed on Windows, Linux and Docker Containers.

In this blog for purposes of demonstration and use, the Developer edition will be installed on a Surface Laptop 5 with the following features.

Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, OS build 22631.3593. It has 16GB installed RAM

Downloading the developer edition begins by clicking the Download button in the above screen. In response you download the executable, SQL2022-SSEI-Dev.exe (4191 KB)file. This file gets displayed as shown.

If you want a quick installation use the BASIC option.

In blog the Custom option will be used. If you want to differ to another time, you may just download the installation files by choosing Download Media.

SQLIOSIM is a tool for simulating SQL Server IO. SQLIOSIM performs reliability and integrity tests on the disk systems that SQL Server utilizes for data and log files.

Main objective of SQLIOSIM is to test the reliability of the underlying I/O subsystem even before installing SQL Server. This proactive tool helps preparing well for the installation. It is an upgrade over the previous SQ7IOStress utility.

The SQLIOSIM gui can be launched using the SQLIOSIM.exe application in the BINN folder.

Double click the SQLIOSIM application in the BINN folder to launch the GUI.

It was indeed a sad day at 3138 Waialae Avenue as a whole lot of owner's wishes were quashed by the AOAO Board and the first lot of trees were cut down. There were many activities leading up to this fateful day by the owners trying to persuade the AOAO board.

Vigil under the Monkeypod tree that is destined to be cut

Unable to stand the body language of the owners the AOAO Board resorted to hide behind a ZOOM meeting and the board took a vote to cut down the trees. Basically, a block of 6 voted to cutdown.

ZOOM meetings have become a way of life to carry out unsavoury acts in many human activities recently. This was yet another instance.

For me personally, it was the loss of Oxygen and the tree removal company produced gasoline fumes for the whole of today's morning. I am totally opposed to cutting trees. They don't align with world view or the US's ambition to capture carbon. What cheap and better way is there than trees!

I went out to see the cutting of the trees along the walk and they had already started at the point nearest to the bridge on the Palolo stream. I am not sure at that point whether they were cutting or trimming the branches and I heard falling sound of branches.

Who is the most happiest today? Of course, the AOAO Board of Regency Park at 3138 Waialae on this day, 10/7/2024.

The tree right behind my unit was very tall and the worker had to work from top downwards. At the lower levels he had to make more cuts as the tree got a lot thicker. I felt as if I have been cut, piece by piece. They produced a lot of noise and gasoline fumes. Dismembered pieces littered the walkway.

It was pitiful to watch the Fairy Terns fly agitated helter skelter but they kept coming back. Perhaps they had a nest. These birds are protected by the State of Hawaii.

But what comes next is too important. We need to stop it. AOAO has on its list many more trees to be chopped off. The next batch occupies a space where the trees are shielding residents from noise and pollution, providing shade without which the heat can be unbearable, and home to the Fairy Terns.

Look closely the blue tape around the trunk of a tree closeby. This area near the Chaminade University is the nesting ground of these birds.

The sad thing is that board has not provided details to the satisfaction of the residents.

"Some of the Condominiums' Board of Directors (BoD) members feel the tree removal project is over and done with. Many, many owners, residents, and I'm sure a minority of BoD members disagree and are sickened by the continued destruction of our beautiful place we call home.

It was stated that this is a "passionate topic". This is evident by the outpouring of residents' concerns, countless emails, letters, phone calls, texts that you have received from these concerned residents trying to get your attention to reconsider this very hurtful and I think, rash decision. I understand that BoD have many concerns that they are dealing with and I'm sure just wanted to move this "tree business" along. But this "business" is not like any of the other businesses as we all have been a witness to. That passion has not dissolved but only heightened with this continuing to cut down our healthy trees that make up our serene, quiet, cool, shady home. The mere topic of removing our trees has caused much stress, anguish, anxiousness, sleeplessness, restlessness, and those cortisol levels to rise which leads to an unhealthy life for all of us. Stress is not healthy as we hear from the news and our doctors.

BoD members, you live here also, you are our neighbors, some for a long time, some for not so long. We all share this home and not just we humans, but countless other living creatures that beautify and amplify the serenity of our environment that we share. I enjoy hearing the morning and evening bird songs. Silent Spring is an excellent book that describes what life is like without our feathered friends. What human careless actions can do to our environment and other living creatures. The Lorax says, "I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues." The trees can not run from the chainsaw, can not fly away, but must stand as they are being cut down one small section at a time... what are we doing to our beautiful home???

We should be good stewards and teach our children that we care for nature and our environment and that we maintain it through pruning, sometimes feeding, fertilizing, using one of many other mitigation strategies to preserve our valuable friends.

I learned that Native Americans call trees "the Standing People". The Native Americans are true conservationists - only using and taking a life, animal or plant, that was needed for them to survive. We can learn a great lesson from them - the great respect they had for their environment. They plan for 7 generations out. These huge canopy trees that you scheduled to cut down will not be replaced in our children's lifetime. It takes decades for trees to gain the size of some of the trees that you have scheduled to cut down and already have cut down.

Please, please, find it in your heart to reconsider this very unhealthy decision that was made and amend it while there are still a few of the healthy canopy trees that are left of the 7 that were to be removed.

Another beautiful healthy tree was cut down on Monday October 7, 2024. No more can it provide us the solace, shade, serenity that it did for so many years. The trees along the riverwalk will dramatically change the environment along, beside and in the stream. As the large eucalyptus tree was being cut down a fairy tern hovered above looking for its home...how heartbreaking. You can almost hear it asking..Where's my home? It was just here. Where am I to go now? Don't I matter to any of those humans who are taking away my home?

We are in the final hours of some of the "condemned" remaining trees. Please, look deep inside you as a human being, a fellow creature sharing this place we call home and make a decision to stop this useless slaughter of our beautiful trees.We are to be stewards of all of God's creatures. We alone are responsible for our own actions, not the actions of the group. It is said, "What is popular is not always what is right, and what is right is not always popular."

Thank you for reading to the end and please stop this slaughter of our precious trees.

If the community is strong and connected, we can save the Monkeypod tree

Our efforts to save the Monkeypod tree were thwarted by a determined AOAO board, which brought in a parliamentarian to oversee the voting process. Unfortunately, the AOAO avoided a physical meeting with owners, opting for a Zoom meeting instead. Remarkably, some AOAO directors chose to mute their cameras.

The meeting concluded with the directors voting to remove the Monkeypod tree, defeating the owners' cautionary advice and explanations.

However, the determined owners have started a vigil and other activities to alert the media and posters.

They will be holding a meeting of concerned owners this coming Saturday, first in the Regency Park's Recreation Room and later under the iconic tree.

As soon as we found a residence in Honolulu, the first thing that attracted was Manoa. When it rains, I look towards Manoa to find the rainbow. Manoa at the foothills of the Ko'olau is an oasis. It is an enchanting place.

Manoa residents got together and they were able to prevent the 'Administrators' from cutting down the Monkeypod trees. They did have to fight the battle but the residents made the decision.

Save Regency Park's Trees: A Honolulu Community Stands United

This post relates to an impasse' between the owners of the Regency Park residents and the AOAO Board of the condominium. This is posted by the author who is also a resident.

I was dismayed to learn that an important asset of my property is going to be removed by a decision taken by the condominium board. This condominium and its grounds are a haven for many, is facing an imminent threat: the indiscriminate removal of our cherished trees. Many of the residents are united in plea to the condominium board to reconsider this drastic action and explore alternative solutions to preserve our green oasis. The community needs a serious conversation on this issue with the condominium board.

The owners of Regency Condominium are urgently requesting that the AOAO (Association of apartment owners) reconsider the removal of several trees. The trees provide essential shade, protect lower-level units from excessive sun, enhance property values, contribute to a serene environment; home to the nesting area of the endangered Fairy Tern (HUI MANU-O-KŪ - Hui Manu-o-Kū (whiteter.org) birds, and improve air quality by filtering pollutants and reducing noise.

The monkeypod tree is slated for removal. The shady spot is where I walk every afternoon.

I am 100% against this callous decision

Upon inquiring about the committee’s reasons for tree removal, I was presented with questionable justifications. One reason suggested that elderly residents might trip over the trees, a claim lacking credibility. Simple solutions such as root trimming or installing a fence from a local hardware store could easily address this non-issue.

Another reason cited was the alleged rising of the pavement due to tree roots. This explanation seems contrived, as the parking lot's surface is uneven throughout.

The AOAO board has failed to provide minutes from the 2023 and 2024 board meetings to the interested residents despite repeated requests. Furthermore, the board has relied on a single arborist review plus an incomplete arborist report to justify its decision. This lack of transparency and due diligence is a clear breach of the board's fiduciary duty to residents. Any future proposals to remove trees must be subject to the approval of all residents. A link to this blog will be forwarded to the property management company and all board members.

What You Can Do:

• Attend the next condominium board meeting and voice your concerns.

• Contact other residents and spread awareness about the issue.

• Share this blog post and encourage others to get involved.

• Together, we can save Regency Park's trees!

On AI chatbots and fact checking

Bertrand Russel's view of ethics originates as being primarily due to our feelings and consequences but they are a result of our education and nurture. This view, while precludes that the ones without education and proper bringing up lack ethics holds likely on the average. I think, ethics is a lot more than education and nurture. I was told that the colonial armies of the past meted out punishment by running horses over the head of half buried enemies. They were able to do so only when they covered the eyes of the horses. Was it an ethical issue for the horses? I wonder.

Fact checking has become a fact of life in recent times especially after the rise of the AI's. Should they or should they not fact check? AIs, as they proclaim themselves are emotionless and non-judgmental. They are also derived from the LLM they always quote as being on which they are based. I can only infer their readiness, or reluctance to do a fact check as being due to is a policy taken by the implementers. I think it is ethically important that they really try to do a fact check, I am not looking for their view of the fact.

In the present world of fake news, deep fakes and such, AI products have a social responsibility to let their algorithms do just that. It is the most ethical thing to do. I would, further take their reluctance as a political statement of their creators.

Here is an example: This following appeared on a social media platform. Perhaps, it may be driven by some kind of phobia, may be not.

Fact check: According to Iran's 'Press TV' and 'al Mayadeen' reports, Israeli forces allegedly dropped white phosphorus bombs on the outskirts of Rasaya al-Fakhar town on July 26.

We have seen that some of the chatGPT based chats (CoPilot,DALL-E 2, MidJourney, NightCafe Creator, etc.) seem to work with both textual /image information. However, AI's interaction with text is lot more advanced than with the images.

The difference between text, and image is analogous to structured data and unstructured data. Most of the textual information is highly ordered and structured, but that of the image is unstructured. Text may give a more intimate view into what it represents and it may even generate human-like text, but image gives only a give few of its attributes like shape, color, size and it may not be able to give the full context, like emotions. We can say at this point that text gives a higher contextual understanding than an image.

Image analysis using AI commonly known as computer vision has also made great advances but challenges are many. The probing of images by AI with research in deep learning and neural networks is narrowing this gap. Presently AI models are getting better at object detection, image recognition and generate images from text descriptions.

Motivation:

Actually, I wanted the raw data on a commercial, low cost, smartwatch from a Chinese company that called upon an Android app called HBand. H Band is available on Google Play, but if you want to run it on your windows PC (Windows 11) you need an Android Emulator. All of the above apps are indicated for the use of H Band.

The Mobile app, H Band on a Android Phone works OK. But, what if you want to look at raw data of (body temperature, step counts, blood pressure, blood glucose, blood oxygen, Heart rate,and body temperature) collected by the app.It is supposed to be a safe app as far as data safety is considered including transit time encryption).

BlueStack:

I contacted BlueStack to find that it does not yet support Bluetooth.

I tried Nox to connect to the watch. It works sometimes and sometimes it does not open. All these apps run very slow, intolerable in this 5G era.

GenyMotion requires a virtualBox. I wanted something that would work with no additional software.

LDPlayer is another option and it takes a lot of memory. It's Bluetooth connection is also not good.

I looked up the space requirements for some of these and they do take up a lot of space and send non-stop notifications.

This is what one of the ChatGPT came up with:

Although all the screens have successfully traversed, you do not see the Finish button enabled. The trick is go to each item in the list and accept the license terms. If all of them are accepted the Finish button gets enabled.

Gemini is integrated with Android Studio (the latest version) as a plugin. There are very many plugins. Scroll down to see Gemini.

How does Gemini help Android Studio?:

In its present embodiment, it can do the following with some exceptions:

Code Generation: Analyze your code and suggest code completion like most other programming software IDEs. Code refactoring suggestions. It can suggest alternative approaches to achieve end result.

Error Analysis: Spotting errors related to code both in scripts and UI. UI integration being very important, this may be an extremely useful help.

Search and Navigation: They are strong points of Gemini and it will wade through the code and take you t specific part of your code. You should find it useful troubleshooting code not of your own but you got ownership. UI/Code interaction will get a great benefit from this feature.

As can be seen, Gemini can greatly assist in App development. Some of these are also parts of what Android Studio do. We will come to the overlap later.

This is a great question. You do not have to do anything special. Gemini works in the background and unless you look for it carefully you may not even notice it. Looking at suggestions you may infer it is coming form Gemini.

This is very important presently because Gemini is still in the 'Learning' mode and it could make mistakes. However, as its suggestions are based on studied analysis, it can add to the repertoire of the developer. As Gemini goes through analysis, it can point to deficiencies in the project that can greatly improve the quality.

It will be nice to bind together, food intake, CGM measurements and AI models to optimize intake for better glucose profiles for diabetes type I and II.

There are pretrained AI models for diabetes.

GlucoNet Model: Deep learning model that can predict Glucose levels based on carbohydrate intake.

Deep Gluco Model: Not only takes carbo intake into consideration but also insulin dosage, physical activity, etc.

GlucoNet is adequate for diabetes type II. I will be homing in on type II.

These are used to improve the MIT control loop for adjusting optimal carbo intake.

There is company (Alertgy) in Melbourne, Australia involved in the development of diabetes monitored by a wearable device.

Right now, I have one with questionable activity, but qualitatively measuring (Zero, when not connected and 3 peaks to coincide in time with break fast, lunch and dinner).

I recently received a private message from Elon Musk in my twitter (X) account. I confess, I felt good. However, I was skeptical because why would a multi-billionaire send a message. Has he no one else to correspond with?

Here are some screenshots on that day (about 2 days ago).

I humored him along to see where that would take me. Then he spoke about the enormous amount of money that he has made and going to make with a new Mining company of his. "Have you looked into investing in Bitcoin", etc. It did not smell good. I terminated the conversation.

It even got better. Then he sent a 0.06Sec voice mail. I ignored.

Today, another Musk (I don't know how many of them are walking around) became my follower and sent another message. This is getting comical and silly.

Well, I may not be the only person on the Internet who is subjected to this nonsense. Take care! I don't believe, he will be sending any message, especially now that he has to think about another $56 billion.
