These started off in Playa D'en Bossa at the celebrated 'Bora Bora' beach club, where the music starts at noon and the DJs arriving at tea time. After Bora Bora, we would move onto places like Pacha, Amnesia or Privilege. The last place to stop was always Space who used to open their doors at dawn.
If the summer of love is your thing, then you need to head for Benirras beach where hippies play bongo drums until Dawn. After listening to their music, I always ended up in their market buying hippie souvenirs to take home. I adore shopping wherever I am and in Ibiza and what I really appreciate is that in the old town the shops selling great clothes and gifts stay open until after midnight.
While Ibiza has earned a name for the clubbing scene, there are several other hidden surprises. There are over fifty beaches on the island, most of which are glorious sandy stretches fringed by clear shallow waters. The beach facilities are high-quality and not just for clubbers! There is also a great deal on offer for families with young children.
The beaches have banana boats, scuba diving and pedaloes for those looking to splash into the water with a aim of cooling off. If you want to charter a boat, then hire it for as many hours as you want to; feel like royalty when you lease a luxury yacht for the weekend. Relaxing on the beach with an occasional dip in the sea, is the great way to get a tan.
There are a lot of things to do and see in Ibiza, in fact too many to mention here. Its story dates back to ancient times when Phoenician settlers established a port there for trading purposes. Search the caves where you will find statues of gods and goddess. There is also the capital called Eivissa with old city walls dating back to the 16th century.
I love booking an apartment that overlooks the beach and I can watch the sun set from my own sun terrace.I can never tire of Ibiza; every time I visit I discover something new. Everyone is made to feel welcome when they visit Ibiza. It may be an historic island but it is one that is constantly changing to accommodate the changing tastes and needs of its visitors.

My friends and I find this serves our needs so much better. There are so many deluxe Apartments to rent Ibiza offering every modern gadget and we find the freedom preferable to hotel routines. Ibiza needs little introduction as it's a firm favourite on the international clubbing scene and its attracts a whole host of temporary seasonal staff each year. Whether your blessed with skills such as acrobatics or fire eating, or perhaps you just enjoy working with like minded free spirits who like to party all summer, your sure to find a job to suit you.
The are two routes to gaining employment out on the 'white isle' as its commonly known. Firstly, you can apply for work before you arrive. This tends to fall into the category of jobs such as holiday reps or timeshare sales professionals. While this may seem attractive as you have a guaranteed job before you arrive and therefore an income plus probably accommodation tied in too, it can also have its downsides. If you fall out with your boss and decide to look for some new work you will lose your home too. Many workers try to keep their work and accommodation separate. Let's be honest, work tends to come and go in Ibiza as people get lost in the clubbing scene and don't make it to work on time, if at all.
The recommended route would be head out to Ibiza on a two week package holiday and look for work and accommodation while you're there. This gives you the safety net of a return ticket home if you decide its not for you. As for finding work while your there, the easiest way to start is by simply asking fellow workers on the streets and turning up at staff meetings to ask the managers if they need any extra employees. Most will be happy to take on a few extra staff in full knowledge that may people will 'disappear' as the season wears on.
Another good source of information on people hiring can be found at the Ship Inn at the top of the west end in San Antonio. Ask any locals and they will gladly point you in the right direction. A lot of the work focuses on promoting club nights so if you like talking to people and your not afraid to hand out some flyers then you will do well. You can also find work in the numerous restaurants around the island, many employ English speaking staff to serve and wait on the tourists.
If your a talented DJ then you may find work in some of the world renowned clubs and bars on the island. Competition is stiff and many DJ's are quite happy to play for next to nothing, simply to get a chance to play at a famous location and add it to their CV. Ibiza is a Mecca for all budding DJ's around the world and could be your chance to get spotted, rub shoulders with the famous and make it big.
So any downsides to working in Ibiza? Not many really apart the effect of a summer of too much fun may have on your health. It may also not be a great destination if your aim is to save money, with so many tempting nights out your wages disappear pretty quickly.

Or just enjoying getting value for your money? After visiting Ibiza several times over the last few years I have some experience in getting my euros to stretch longer on the Mediterranean party island.
Ibiza can be an expensive island to visit. All the restaurants, bars and salesmen are trying to part you with as much of your money as possible. After all, the peak summer season only lasts for a few months, and the money derived from tourist are supposed to help them until next year.
Here are my top three tips on how to save money when visiting Ibiza.
1. Cheap hotel
Book your stay at an unattractive and old 1970s style apartment hotel in Playa Bossa or Figueretes. The hotels in this area is not modern, neither stylish. But, the hotel rooms are sold at discount prices to attract guests. When you stay at these hotels you are a 10-15 minute walk from the center of Ibiza Town. Prices are EUR30-40 per room per night in the low season, double in peak season.
2. Use your beach towel
Do not hire sunbeds at the beach every day, EUR5 a each day for a sunbed accumulate to EUR70 for a 14 day stay. Use your beach towel or enjoy life at the hotel pool.
3. Great supermarket food
If you go to the beach you can pick up some high quality Spanish Serrano ham, cheese, baguettes and a few beers at one of the many supermarkets. Eat them at the beach instead of paying for lunch or dinner at fancy restaurants and cafes.

A wonderful holiday island, Ibiza comes up trumps every time for holiday rentals visitors wanting a reasonably priced sunshine break, within a couple of hours flight from the UK. It's a busy little island with the most popular resorts of San Antonio, Cala llonga, St Eulalia, Es Cana, Portinatx, and Cala d'en Bossa attracting the majority of summer visitors by far.
Ibiza has a great selection of holiday apartments and villas with pools available which are ideal for couples and families on holiday and larger villas which cater for groups of friends for hen and stag parties or large numbers of wedding guests.
Whatever reason you visit Ibiza, be sure to tour around the island's coastline. You'll learn much about the islands history by visiting various villages, their churches and monuments, and small beach markets. Explore some deserted coves and swim from amazing beaches along the south shore, close to Es Cubells and Sa Cana near the local salt-flats.
Along the western shores, the beaches mostly consist of white sand around the pretty spots of Cala Vadella and Cala Tarida, where you'll enjoy lazing in the warm crystal blue waters, shimmering in the Mediterranean sunshine. Around this area and nearby Cala Bassa, is where there are stunning holiday homes and luxury villas of all sizes, often tucked away from view but in wonderful locations and lavishly treasured by their owners.
Slightly inland are numerous pretty or quaint Ibizan villages, where traditional customs and dress codes are still observed by some the local residents. Travelling northwards you will soon reach the popular resort of Portinatx with plenty of attractions and a great beach too. Do visit the nearby port of San Miguel or Cala San Vicente where you'll have some brilliant views towards Palma in Majorca.
Crossing over the island from San Antonio to the eastern coast, the resorts of Talamanca, Playa d'en Bossa, Cala Llonga and Santa Eulalia have traditionally played host to many of the holidaymakers who have visited Ibiza since the early sixties. The beaches are wider and ideally cater for groups and party life.
For a complete change in scenery, take the ferry for a day trip out to the unspoilt neighbouring island of Formentera, with its pristine beaches and tranquil blue seas its an idyllic setting and offers the ultimate in peace and relaxation. If you want to venture further afield, there are regular boat trips from San Antonio to the Spanish mainland port of Denia, at the start of the Costa Blanca. The old port town of Denia has a walled castle to explore and lots of interesting shops and pleasant restaurants. There is a magnificent harbour and marina which is lined with a stunning array of yachts and power boats of impressively understated wealth, but its such an adorable sight to stroll along and inspect!

The city is famous for its spectacular coast, nightlife and people. Though Spanish is the main language, other European languages such as English, German and French are understood by people at major tourist attraction spots.
The daytime is best to just lay back and watch the sun go down. Ibiza is freaking expensive when it comes to accommodation or even buying a magazine or lotion. So equip yourself for that kind of shock. If possible, plan ahead and see if you can get a place like a serviced apartment for your lads for less.
Instead of Ibiza town, you can also try lodging and boarding places in San Antonio, which is not a stone's throw distance from the excitement, but still within walking distance from all the major clubs and action. If you have enough time to plan, try to make clear reservations for the Ibiza stag weekend.
It is a party town and crowded all through the year. Hence, it will be a good idea to book tickets for famous shows and VIP clubs beforehand. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you may simply get a discounted price for tickets right on the counter before the show or tour starts, if the representative likes you and your gang. Purely chance you could say.
One of the must try clubs is the Pacha. It is one of the gorgeous clubs with very expensive upholsteries and decors. There is a roof top terrace where you can take a break or enjoy a pint of beer or two with your mates. Come back down and join the dance floor to shake your body.
Paradise is another club you might want to visit. This club is exclusive for water based partying. The view from the club is spectacular and the party time is just too amazing to be missed.
The coasts are soothing contrast from the blaring clubs. If you wish to take a break from the entire hub-hub, take a nice long walk along the coast. Just be sure to be aware of suspicious buggers and petty thieves. Leave your valuables safe at your hotel room or lock it up at a safe depository.
While shopping, be very careful and simply avoid people who try to lure you into buying stuffs. These stuffs might be drugs and these men are clever enough only to pick the tourists.
Like any other city, Ibiza has its own set of cons. However, the pros outweigh them. Hence, it is wise to be careful with you possessions, reserving accommodations at prime locations so that you don't have to walk back a long distance from the clubs and pubs late at night and don't forget to enjoy the nightlife.
Make the Ibiza weekend memorable for the stag with proper planning and doing research on do's and don'ts.

Take a trip to one of the hippy markets and you will find a way to pick up some bargains without having to endure the hustle and bustle of the high street.
As well as having a uniquely laidback atmosphere to enjoy, the markets are also a great place to find some unusual handmade items. There are stalls selling jewellery, ornaments and clothes made by local craftsmen and designers, which you would not be able to buy anywhere else.
The work for sale is heavily influenced by an often forgotten chapter in Ibiza's recent past. Before it became Europe's dance music capital, the island was a favourite place with people dropping out of mainstream society during the sixties and early seventies.
Artists and musicians - along with people who just wanted to get away from the stresses and strains of everyday living - flocked to Ibiza to enjoy the slower pace of life, the beautiful countryside and sea views, and the low-key party scene. The fact it was a favourite hangout of rock stars and there were a large number of UFO sightings only added to the attraction of the island.
Many of the people who headed to Ibiza at that time have since moved on, but they continue to influence the local artists and tradesmen. The freedom of expression that characterised their attitude, combined with North African influences and traditional Spanish culture, means that many of the items they make and sell at the hippy markets have a style you will not find anywhere else in the world.
If you want to search for some of these unique pieces during cheap holidays, one of the best places to track them down is at Las Dalias, near San Carlos. There is a hippy market there every Saturday, as well as on Monday nights between June and September. Alternatively, you could try the hippy market at Es Cana on Wednesday afternoons between April and October.

Renting an apartment or villa can often be cheaper than a package holiday and also gives you a lot greater freedom. While Ibiza is a relatively small island it has hundreds of holiday homes available to rent.
Roly Searle spent his first few holidays in Ibiza staying at cheap hotels as part of a package holiday deal. "While it seemed convenient buying my flights, transfers and hotel together it soon became a bit samey and you felt like you have to take part in wider group activities when all you wanted to do was relax in peace. Added to this the resorts became more crowded and we found ourselves increasingly frustrated.
Our good friend suggested that renting a villa in Ibiza would not cost us any more and it would offer us a whole new experience. The following year we decided to try a villa and found a great place in the quieter north end of the island. We bought low cost flights and hired a great little car and worked out we saved over 15% from the previous year's holiday which was fantastic."
The far south west and northern parts of Ibiza Island are family friendly and properties are often surrounded by beautiful countryside or sea views. If you are looking for cheaper deals when the island is quieter the best time to go would be the summer half term (end of May, early June) and the October half term. Temperatures are still well into the 20's and you will find hire cars cheaper to rent.
The most expensive areas to rent a holiday home in Ibiza tend to be around the Ibiza Town area, Roca Elisa and Talamanca particularly so. If you are looking for a countryside retreat in a central location then San Rafael is the best area to base yourself. Further south but still central is San Josep which benefits from having easy access to wonderful beaches.
Younger crowds are increasingly looking for villas and apartments to rent while on holiday in Ibiza. With the change in club licensing laws clubbers now have nowhere to go from 6am until 4:30pm and are increasingly looking to spend more time at their place of stay. Having a villa where you can have an after party means people don't have to worry about disturbing hotel guests and it gives you more freedom to relax.
Another benefit of taking a self catering holiday in Ibiza is the saving you can make from eating. With the exchange rate currently 10-15% down on 2008 eating at home is a great way to cut back on cost. Even with the bad exchange rate the cost of food and drink in Spain is relatively cheap compared to the UK. So with some careful planning you can have a great week away without blowing the bank if you rent a holiday home in Ibiza.

West of the capital city, Eivissa, is the pretty village of Porroig. Every year, thousands of yachtsmen are attracted to its huge bay and sheltered harbour. It also attracts visitors who want to see an unspoiled Ibizan fishing village. To wander around Poirriig is a delight, breathing in the sea air and delighting in the all-year sunshine, admiring the whitewashed houses. When you're tired of strolling, there are many typical restaurants here, which offer fish that was swimming around just a few hours ago.
Further around the coast is Cala Moli. This quiet cove is less accessible than the resorts either side, Cala Vardella and Cala Tardia. Cala Moli is the perfect place to visit, or in which to buy a second home, for people who want to enjoy authentic Ibiza. A short walk away from the beach takes you into hills and pine trees, where you feel as though you are the first visitor or hundreds of years. Cala Moli is close to the island of des Bosc, from where you can experience magnificent sunsets at any time of the year. The view of des Bosc from San Antonio is a constantly changing delight.
Ibiza's north coast is so untouched by the modern world that you will forget that some of Europe's loudest night clubs are just an hour's drive away. The sparkling sea washes, or crashes, on to the coves and cliffs, as it has done for thousands of years. All-year sunshine makes this the ideal place to buy property, either for a second home or somewhere to retire. Here, you can have an undisturbed life in tranquillity, but just a short drive from all amenities.
Ibiza's east coast boasts it's gastronomic and cultural centre. Santa Eulalia, the island's third-largest resort, has attracted artists, writers and musicians for many years. The town is host to many art galleries, museums and some of the island's top restaurants. Take a stroll around Santa Eulalia and you will be immersed in its laid-back atmosphere, a world away from the thumping beats of the capital's night clubs. Just inland from the vibrant resort there are plenty of properties in secluded surroundings, where residents have the best of both worlds: tranquillity at home, but within minutes of the sea, sand and Ibiza's best gastronomy.
The pretty bay of Talamanca offers spectacular views of Ibiza town, and a walk from here to the capital is a wonderful experience. It's lovely promenade leads to a 15-minute walk along the shore to Eivissa. But don't leave too soon. Sit at one of the typical bars and enjoy the ever-changing view across the bay, eat some home-made bread and locally-caught fish with a glass of island wine.
The capital itself has many delights, away from the tourist centres. Its marina is largely untouched by the hordes, so is ideal for a wander around, before sitting down for more food and wine. There are nearby beaches which have yet to be discovered by visitors, perfect for families with children who just want a quiet time. The unspoilt coastal spots of Ibiza are ideal for a second or retirement home.

Whether your idea of the ideal vacation consists of exploring unique culture, partying until you drop, communing with mother nature, or just relaxing in a beautiful locale, Ibiza offers something for every traveler.
Long before Ibiza was known as a clubber's paradise, it was the haven for European hippies in the 1960s. Today, you can still revisit the Summer of Love at the hippie market located just outside the town of Es Cana. Set on an idyllic and peaceful hillside, the market features plenty of hippie paraphernalia including tie-dyed shirts, hand-made leather moccasins, beaded necklaces, and of course, a variety of bongs and pipes. The 60's may be over, but in Ibiza, the spirit is still alive and well.
Ibiza is also home to some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. The Cafe Del Mar at the scenic San Antonio Bay is one of the most popular places to enjoy a cold drink and watch mother nature paint her canvas in the sky. Another one of the best places to catch the sunset is Cala D'Hort, which features an incredible view of the rock of Es Vedra. This natural wonder lies three kilometers from the coast and stands at a staggering 400 meters above sea level! The combination of Es Vedra and the scenic sunset makes for two amazing displays of nature rolled into one - an experience you can only find in Ibiza.

Ibiza is known around the world for its super clubs, and it's true that the island offers a clubbing experience that simply cannot be beaten. Privilege, the biggest night club in Ibiza, has a 10,000-people capacity! Amnesia and Space are two other popular clubs that are beloved by tourists on Ibiza holidays and locals alike. And for visitors wanting to start the party a little early, Space is a day-club that begins its festivities at sunrise, right when the others close down. Also, the beach club Bora Bora, located on Ibiza's Playa Den Bossa, is a day-long party featuring some five thousand daily party goers and plenty of pina coladas to go around!

But did you know that Ibiza also boasts numerous World Heritage Sites? This Spanish island is quickly becoming a popular holiday destination for families and couples, as well as your average clubber. With this in mind, Ibiza hotels cater to all tastes and budgets, providing accommodation across Ibiza's diverse locations for all types of tourists.
The best things in life are free - especially when it comes to sunsets. At 9pm, head to the Café Del Mar - the world-famous bar that plays a fantastic soundtrack during sunset. This venue gave birth to the chill out genre of the nineties. Located in San Antonio Bay's aptly named Sunset Strip, the Café Del Mar offers the best ocean-view in Ibiza. Ibiza hotels located in San Antonio Bay - such as the Sol Pinet Playa Hotel -provides convenient accommodation and breathtaking views for holiday makers in need of relaxation, while hotels in San Antonio Town provide a great base for clubbers - without breaking the bank.
Ibiza's World Heritage Sites offer tourists a chance to enjoy a slice of its history, without costing a fortune. Due to its shoreline, marine life, 16th century fortifications, Phoenician ruins and fortified Upper Town, large proportions of Ibiza are registered as U.N. World Heritage Sites and are therefore protected from the development and commercialisation of the island's main cities. For example, Benirràs Bay, also known as 'God's Finger', is a curving sandy cove, surrounded by pine-covered hills, where hippies and drummers like to play tribal-style music during sunset.

Ibiza Town's clubs, such as Space and Pacha, are quite expensive to get into. Its biggest clubs are known for charging over 80 euros on the door. Drinks inside also aren't cheap, with a bottle of beer costing around eight euros. However, once inside, its buzzing atmosphere immediately absorbs you. Ibiza attracts the best DJs in the world, so you're never disappointed with the music. DJs get involved with the crowds, playing music through the very best equipment money can buy. The sound is unbeatable, with every clubber determined to get their 80 euros worth. Experiences like this do come at a cost, however Ibiza hotels are littered across Ibiza Town, offering every party animal a bed for the night - satisfying all tastes and budgets.
Ibiza will always be known globally for its clubs of epic proportion. However, its white beaches, clear waters, beautiful countryside and quiet villages also contribute to its status as the best-known Balearic Island.

After living on Ibiza for 3 months and writing a travel guide about the island I have acquired a lot of knowledge. Here's a list of the top 5 things I have learned about the island.
1. Ibiza can be very cheap
If you look past the extreme prices of drinks in the hottest clubs, Ibiza is actually fairly inexpensive. The resorts are struggling to keep up with Mallorcas new built vacation spots and the 80s and 90s styled hotels are decreasing their prices to get people to buy vacations at their hotels. Low accommodation prices are expected also for 2010.
2. The Brits dominate in certain resorts
If you head for the resort of San Antonio and visit the resort's "West End" district you will not feel like you are in Spain at all! There are so many kebab joints, Chinese restaurants, Fish & Chips places, strip joints, nightclubs and party pubs that it resembles any English mid-sized town on a Saturday night.
3. Do explore Ibiza's gay town
Ibiza Town is home to a big gay community in the summer months. Visit the town's Sa Penya area along the harbour to experience the gay side of Ibiza. Expect narrow streets filled with bars, clubs and a few restaurants.
4. It is extremely quiet outside peak season
The peak season in Ibiza is in June, July, August and September. The rest of the year the island is pretty quiet and you get to have all the beaches and restaurants to yourself. A visit to Ibiza in May, June or October guarantees pretty weather and nice sunny days - without the crowd.
5. Watch the sunset at Cafe del Mar, or somewhere else
It is hardly a secret, but a visit to Ibiza is not complete without enjoying the view of the sunset with a cocktail in your hand. The most popular place to watch the sunset is at the world famous Cafe del Mar in San Antonio. But there are several other beach side cafes where you can get the same view, pay less for drinks, and have less people around you.

If you've booked a package holiday to Ibiza most likely you'll be staying in one of the main tourist resorts on the island- San Antonio, Playa D'en Bossa or Es Cana. If you're renting a villa, you're more likely to be located in one of the smaller villages which lye outside the main resorts towns.
The big resorts are much like you'll find anywhere in Europe- big hotels, lots of characterless restaurants catering for tourists and mediocre beaches. If its your first time in Ibiza make sure you spend at least one day of your holiday getting out of the resort and exploring some of the great beaches surrounding the towns. The best thing about Ibiza is its small enough to hop cross the island very easily, either in a rental car or using public transport.
Eating and drinking
Although if you're staying in a resort you'll have no problem finding reasonable places to eat on your doorstep, Ibiza can offer much better when it comes to food. Ibiza Town on the East side of the island is the place to head for the best collection of eateries in close proximity. The biggest congregation of bars can be found in San Antonio's West End district. Here you'll find a street packed with music bars selling cheap cocktails and playing commercial dance music until the early hours. Most clubbers head here before embarking on a night out in the clubs because its a cheaper place to drink.
The club scene
If you're reading this there's a good chance the club scene is your main reason for visiting Ibiza this summer. Ibiza has 6 main superclubs and lots of smaller lesser known venues and bar/ clubs. The most famous are probably Pacha, Amnesia and Privilege. They each play different styles of music every night of the week so check the club calendars before you go to pick the nights you want to visit. Don't be put off if you don't know the DJ, Ibiza is the place to discover something new so step outside your comfort zone at least one night during your holiday and you're likely to have a good experience.
Money, money, money
Ibiza can be an expensive holiday if you're planning on partying every night as the cost of drinks and club entry is high. Look out for nights with cheaper tickets and buy your tickets online in advance for big nights as this usually guarantees you a cheaper price and a queue jump.
Be sensible and look after each other
Ibiza gets a lot of bad publicity in national newspapers, unfortunately most of it is well deserved and centre's around holidaymakers who have accidents during their visits to the island. If its your first time in Ibiza, or even if it isn't, don't get carried away and hurt yourself- if you're in a group look out for one another and don't put yourselves in risky situations.

It's unofficially known as the disco capital of the world. Is that all that there is in store during weekends to Ibiza? We will find that out shortly.
The island of Ibiza is located in the Mediterranean sea off the coast of Valencia in Spain. Among the cities of the island Ibiza Town is the largest apart from Santa Eularia des Riu and Sant Antoni de Portmany.
The island which is a part of the Balearic Islands is inhabited by an mixed population that consists of migrants from mainland Spain and a host of other nationalities like German, French, British, Moroccan, Dutch, Italians and Latin Americans among many others.
There is an autonomous government of Ibiza that runs the administration.
Weekend in Ibiza
The most striking part of life in Ibiza that attracts people to this destination for short trips and weekends is that this is probably the one island with the largest number of discos and nightclubs within a certain area or space.
Tourism is the mainstay of the economy of Ibiza and that thrives on the clubbing aspect of the place. This fact is only helped by the innumerable places to party and enjoy in this small island.
The clubs, pubs and discos make party and entertainment a nonstop affair through all the hours of days and nights here. However there are a lot of other things too that can make for a great Ibiza weekend.
Your weekend to Ibiza will be incomplete without a mention of the long stretches of beautiful beaches bordering the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
There are few places that you may visit as part of your sightseeing of this beautiful island destination.

Dalt Vila is a walled city that was built during the medieval ages.

There are shops, restaurants, cafes and houses in the part of the island that is called Sa Penya also known as the fishermen's quarter.

Activities for an Ibiza Weekend
You may be here to relax over a quiet weekend of clubbing entertainment. But there is much more to enjoy in Ibiza.
If you are here for a stag party or a hen party make sure you stroll out of the club or the pub and take the thrill of a whole lot of other activities on this occasion.
Here is all that is in store for you and your friends.

Paintballing

Ibiza water sports

Yacht charter

Football matches with 5 on a side

Go karting

Golf

Parasailing

There are times when we want to relax and unwind with music and drinks. And for that Ibiza is probably one of the most well known destinations for a weekend of party fun.
But there are many among you who may be on your way to an Ibiza weekend party soon. Make sure that you get yourselves much more and far beyond the clubs and the nightlife. There is a diverse culture as well as enjoyment waiting to unfurl before you over Ibiza weekends.

Week itinerary for your San Antonio Bay holiday:
Need some inspiration for your Ibiza holidays? The beautiful resort of San Antonio Bay has a laid back, friendly atmosphere, beautiful beaches and plenty of things to do.
Sit back, relax and soak up some warm Mediterranean sun on the first few days of your Ibiza holiday. The beauty of San Antonio Bay is its 5 beaches all in walking distance of each other, so you'll never be far from the beach. When you've finished sunbathing or sipping cold drinks in one of the great beachside bars, burn off some energy trying out some of the fantastic water sports. If you'd rather spend the day on the water rather than in it, boat trips make a great day out. Ferries run to other nearby beaches, or you can hire a boat or join an excursion around the island.
When you're ready to head ashore, you'll still find plenty of activities beyond the beach. San Antonio bay is well suited for family holidays and you'll find plenty of play parks for young and older children. A fun fair runs in there too, so parents can sit back and relax and watch the kids have fun. The aquarium is just a short walk from the bay and makes a great family day out. The centre cares for injured fish and if you're lucky you might be able to see some turtles.
It's not just about daytimes though. Don't miss the famous Ibiza sunsets while you're there. You can still get fantastic views from the bay, but it's just a short walk to the infamous sunset strip in nearby San Antonio. Nightlife in San Antonia Bay is fairly relaxed, but keen clubbers amongst you shouldn't miss out on a night out in San Antonio.
With so many things to do, the only thing you will have to worry about is being spoilt for choice.
How to get deals in San Antonio Bay
Ibiza holidays are often renowned for being expensive, especially if you want to be part of the clubbing scene. Before you start to panic that you're going to spend a fortune, it doesn't have to be this way. Follow these great tips and you can be sure to have cheap holidays. First things first, money itself is the biggest consideration on your cheap San Antonio Bay holiday. The airport and hotels are often the most expensive places to change currency, so make sure you plan ahead and sort out your currency before you go. Another important thing to note is that many cash points charge you every time you withdraw money, so try to avoid them as much as possible if you don't want to eat into your funds.
Eating out is often the biggest expense on any holiday and there are a few things you can do to make sure you save some extra money. Many hotels offer all inclusive deals which covers everything from meals to alcohol. Choosing all inclusive deals means everything is paid up front, making it easier to budget for your cheap San Antonio Bay holiday. Most hotels offer all inclusive packages for a fraction more than bed and breakfast prices, so it's definitely worth looking into. If you are going to choose to eat out, restaurant prices in San Antonio town are much cheaper than those in the Bay area as they cater for the mass tourists.
When it comes to going out, club tickets can be very expensive. Whilst online tickets are set at a fixed price, when you arrive on the island you can often find great deals on tickets which often include free drinks or discounts. Booking tickets in large groups is usually a great way to save money too. Alcohol can be very expensive, so have a few drinks in the hotel before (take advantage of that all inclusive deal) or look for bars with happy hours. Now you know it's possible to have cheap Ibiza holidays, you just have to know how to find great deals.
Restaurants in San Antonio Bay
San Antonio Bay holidays have a great mix of restaurants, from cheap'n'cheerful to something a little more special. So if you just fancy a night away from the hotel or want a special meal out, you will be sure to find something to suit you on your holiday. If you'd like to try some of the local food on your holiday you won't be disappointed. Sa Soca restaurant serves traditional Ibizan family favourites as well as classic Spanish food like Tapas and paella. As San Antonio Bay is surrounded by water, it's not surprising that fresh fish is also a delicious local speciality. Enjoy the local catch of the day with fantastic sea views in Sa Punta d'es Moli, the local's favourite restaurant.
Take a trip round the world on your holiday, with restaurants serving cuisine for every country you can think of. Enjoy a taste of Italy in Venice restaurant, known for its great pizzas, or an Asian experience in the Double Dragon Chinese restaurant.
There are a few more things to bear in mind when choosing restaurants on your holiday. It's worth remembering that the Spanish like to eat their dinner late, so don't be surprised if restaurants don't begin to open until around 8pm, especially in the Bay area. Eating out also tends to be much cheaper in San Antonio Town, as they're catering for the mass tourists. San Antonio Town is also home to all the well known fast food restaurants and chains, so if you're travelling with fussy eaters or fancy something quick and cheap, this is the place to go.
So it looks like you won't be stuck for choice on where to eat out. With such great choice and all offering good value for money, the only thing you need to worry about is where to choose. When to go to San Antonio Bay:
San Antonio Bay holidays have great Mediterranean climates all year round, but the main holiday season runs from May to October. Visit in the summer months and you can enjoy up to eleven hours of sunshine, but even in winter temperatures don't drop much below fifteen degrees. Long hours of sunshine mean long days at the beach, so make sure you pack plenty of sun cream with you.
As the San Antonio bay area is much quieter than its lively neighbour San Antonio, it's popular with holidaymakers whatever the season. If you're looking to book a San Antonio Bay holiday during the month of August, it's recommended to pick dates near the end of the month, so you don't miss the Fiesta of St Bartholomew's on the 24th. The festival features fantastic firework displays and celebrations which are definitely worth being a part of.
If you're choosing a San Antonio Bay holiday but still want to be a part of the lively club scene, July, August and early September are definitely the best months to visit. During high season famous clubs like Space and Eden are packed with thousands of clubbers from all over Europe's to enjoy sets from world renowned DJ's and unforgettable atmospheres. San Antonio Bay itself does offer an interesting nightlife, although much less lively than its neighbour.
You'll find a couple of clubs around the bay open throughout the summer, although much less will be happening during the winter season. San Antonio Bay holidays are popular all year round with families and all age groups looking to enjoy warm Mediterranean climates, gorgeous surroundings and great sandy beaches. So whether you visit in the summer high season or during the milder winter months, you'll be guaranteed a great holiday.
