Kristen Stewart On Robert Pattinson’s Twilight Saga Brooding & Being Criticized For Not Smiling

Fans thankful for Robert Pattinson's brooding as vampire Edward Cullen in "The Twilight Saga" film franchise should thank Kristen Stewart.

"We wanted it to be not so polished," the actress told Vanity Fair magazine, which features the "Snow White & The Huntsman" star on its current cover, when "Twilight" was brought up. "Catherine [Hardwicke, the first film's director], was all for that. But we were getting notes from the studio. They wanted me to smile all the time. They wanted Rob to be not so brooding. We were like, 'No! You need to brood you're a** off.”

It is Kristen, though, who tabloid magazines like to suggest is brooding in real life, something Robert said isn't her fault.

"No matter how many times she smiles, they'll put in the one picture where she's not smiling," he told the magazine, as part of Vanity Fair's feature on the actress.!

Kristen gets it though, but being authentic to herself is what she finds most important.

"I have been criticized a lot for not looking perfect in every photograph," she told VF. "I get some serious s*** about it. I'm not embarrassed about it. I'm proud of it. If I took perfect pictures all the time, the people standing in the room with me, or on the carpet, would think, What an actress! What a faker! That thought embarrasses me so much that I look like s*** in half my photos, and I don't give a f***. What matters to me is that the people in the room leave and say, 'She was cool. She had a good time. She was honest.' I don't care about the voracious, starving s*** eaters who want to turn truth into s***. Not that you can say that in Vanity Fair!"

A sequel to Pyaar Ke Side Effects is finally completed. The movie is called Shaadi Ke Side Effects. Farhan Akhtar will be replacing Rahul Bose, while Vidya Balan replaces Mallika Sherawat. ‘Teen Mom’ Amber Portwood Sentenced to Five Years in Prison

“Teen Mom” Amber Portwood has been sentenced to five years in prison — after rejecting the opportunity to prevent imprisonment.

A judge in Indiana reimposed the “Teen Mom” star’s original jail sentence on Tuesday after Portwood asked to be removed from a drug rehab program she’d been unable to fulfill as part of a plea agreement.

According to a report from TMZ, the 21-year-old was in court on the morning of June 5 when the judge reimposed the sentence that stemmed from her December drug arrest.

Amber’s five-year sentence could have been avoided had she completed her drug rehabilitation program, but she couldn’t stay clean, saying she will always be a “bad girl.”

The judge will now refer Portwood to the Indiana Department of Corrections therapeutic community program, an incarceration-based treatment

The newest Miss USA winner is a Rhode Island cellist who describes herself as a nerd and aspires to be more like Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn.

Olivia Culpo shares Hepburn’s European heritage and dark brown hair and soon they will share something else. Culpo said after winning her crown Sunday night that she plans to go to Tiffany&Co. in New York and recreate Hepburn’s iconic opening scene from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

Culpo, a Boston University sophomore, will take a year off from her studies to tackle her duties as Miss USA and represent the nation in the 61st Miss Universe contest in December. The 20-year-old said she wished she could have shared her crown with her 50 competitors during the pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort&Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

Culpo strutted across the stage in a lilac bikini, then donned a flowing fuchsia gown with sparkly trim around her waist and décolletage. After making it to the final five, Culpo voiced her support for transgender beauty queens during the make-or-break interview round.

“Would you feel it would be fair that a transgender woman wins the Miss USA title over a natural-born woman?” asked celebrity judge Rob Kardashian. The question came from a pageant follower on Twitter, a first for the competition.

Culpo didn’t hesitate before embracing the Miss Universe Organization’s recent decision to admit transgender contestants.

“I do think that that would be fair, but I can understand that people would be a little apprehensive to take that road because there is a tradition of natural-born women, but today where there are so many surgeries and so many people out there who have a need to change for a happier life, I do accept that because I believe it’s a free country,” Culpo said.

Culpo said after the pageant that she wasn’t put off by the question when she heard it.

“This is a free country and to each their own,” she said.

Culpo said she was short and chubby as a girl, but blossomed after a growth spurt. She spent her summers at band camp after learning to play the cello in second grade. Her parents are also musicians, and her love for music saw her perform at Symphony Hall in Boston and Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Culpo is a 2010 graduate of St. Mary Academy Bay View, an all-girls Catholic school in Riverside, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She said she comes from a big, Italian family and speaks some Italian. On her Twitter account, she describes herself as a nerd and model.

“I was just so surprised, so shocked, so honored to be there,” she said of her win.

Rounding out the top five contestants were first runner-up Nana Meriwether of Maryland, second runner-up

Audrey Bolte of Ohio, third runner-up Jade Kelsall of Nevada and fourth runner-up Jasmyn Wilkins of Georgia. As Meriwether and Culpo held hands waiting for the winner to be announced, Culpo bit her lip and cringed with anticipation.

Culpo demonstrated an outgoing personality throughout the competition, blowing a kiss and shimmying across the stage during the opening number. She cited Hepburn as her source of inspiration, noting her many years of volunteer work.

“She was beautiful on the outside, but also beautiful on the inside,” said Culpo, who sang the chorus of “Funny Face” from her favorite movie of the same name after her win.

Miss Iowa USA Rebecca Hodge was named Miss Congeniality, and Miss Oregon USA Alaina Bergsma was named the most photogenic. They both won $1,000, but didn’t make the top 16.

The pageant had three competitions: swimsuit, evening gowns and interview question. The contestants were whittled to 16 after the show’s opening fashion show number. The contestants were later narrowed down to a field of 10 and then five.

Pop band Cobra Starship performed as the beauty queens modeled their string bikinis. Singer Akon danced with the top five during the evening gown competition.

Culpo had one of the more modest dresses of the contest, with many of the beauty queens wearing revealing gowns with bare backs, high slits and sheer fabric. In contrast, Culpo’s flowing gown covered her legs and lower back while revealing some cleavage.

The judge’s panel included Chef Cat Cora, TV personality Arsenio Hall and singer Joe Jonas. Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic stepped in to host. Miss USA 2011 Alyssa Campanella of California crowned Culpo her successor at the end of the night.

The first-ever transgender contestant to compete in the Miss Universe Canada pageant made it to the penultimate round before losing her bid to win the title last month. She was initially denied entry to Canada’s pageant because she was not born female. Donald Trump, who runs the Miss Universe Organization, subsequently overruled that decision.

Miss Universe publicity director Brenda Mendoza has said transgender competitors are now welcome at all of its pageants around the world.

The competition is not affiliated with the Miss America pageant.

“Yes, that’s the date we have decided upon. There will be a reception, too, but not a very big one,” reports MidDay. The wedding ceremony, said close sources, will be a quiet affair, too.

Apparently Kareena will continue with her career, just as her gorgeous mother-in-law. Says a source, "Sharmilaji's best innings as an actress started after marriage. In fact Saif was a baby on the sets when Sharmilaji was doing one of her most celebrated film Aradhana. Kareena intends to follow her mom-in-law's career model. She will do two films a year after marriage. After she completes Madhur Bhandarkar'sHeroine she goes straight into Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela."

In fact Kareena has made it clear to the worried Bhansali there will be no wedding break. It's going to be a very quiet wedding for the long-standing Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan pair. And as confirmed by Saif's mother, the date is October 16.

The wedding, which will be held at the Pataudis’ ancestral home, will only be attended by immediate family members of the couple.

Says the source, “Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi died only recently, so the family wanted a low-key wedding. Kareena and her family agreed, too. However, there may be a large reception bash after the wedding, considering both Saif and Kareena have many friends in the film industry.”

The venue for the wedding reception is still undecided, though the chances are that the couple would fly down the same day (16 October) after the wedding at Pataudi to Mumbai for the reception.

The third "Men in Black" film is really happening. Reports say Columbia Pictures has given green light to "Men in Black 3" and release the movie. The studio also has locked an actor for the cast ensemble, tapping Will Smith to reprise his role as alien-chasing government operative Agent Jay. Moreover, Columbia has hired Barry Sonnenfeld to serve behind the lens for "MIB 3".

Smith will be likely joined by his co-star in "Men in Black" and "Men in Black II", Tommy Lee Jones, as he is currently negotiating his contract with the studio to return as Agent Kay. Moreover, Josh Brolin is expected to star in the film as a younger version of Agent K.

Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing the upcoming flick. Meanwhile, Etan Cohen and David Koepp are teaming up to write the script, which will feature a time travel element that moves the action from contemporary back to 1969.
