Hungry? Be sure to try their ambrosial French desserts, cookies and homemade grilled sandwiches. The desire for coffee may draw you in, but the cozy atmosphere (which includes a quiet, trendy balcony-lounge) and view of the colorful foot traffic, may just keep you there. Luckily, they’re open ‘til midnight.

Today I went to 10 Forward Coffee and Tea Lounge, located in the most famous intersection in the world, Hollywood and Vine. It was my second time there, ever (I had coffee there 2 months ago- it was really good!) I had to use the restroom when I went in today, and, voila! They had a restroom (for customers only), so I got the key and used the restroom first, and then I came back to get something nice to drink. Hot chocolate sounded good, so I asked for it. Yes, they had it! They also had some tasty and healthy-looking oatmeal cookies, so I got one to go. My hot chocolate was excellent, and so was the cookie! I was told by the proprietors that they have organic treats there, too.

Loteria Grill serves really great, tasty Mexican food. This location in Hollywood is new, and looks beautiful as you drive by it on Hollywood Blvd. The last time I went, I had the Enchiladas de Pipian, which came with rice and black beans. Mmmmm, good! I also love the Chilaquiles.

STREET is Susan Feniger's new restaurant. They serve good, tasty food here from all over the world. I haven't eaten here yet, but I did have a chance to talk to Susan about it before the restaurant opened, and she assured me that I would like it. I can't wait to go to Susan Feniger's STREET! If you want a really good hot dog- what my Mom says is "to die for", you must go to Pink's! I loved their Guadalajara Dog! Pink's is probably the most popular single fast food place in Los Angeles- hands down! They always have a line outside, and if you have someone visiting from out of town and they want to see Hollywood, you should take 'em to Pink's! Pink's also serves hamburgers and Pastrami sandwiches, and all kinds of hot dogs, including Polish dogs. Pink's is located at 709 N. La Brea Avenue in Hollywood, near Melrose. Osteria La Buca is nice Italian Restaurant very close to Paramount Studios. I haven't eaten there, but the food smells good! They have very friendly staff, and I highly recommend it on that point alone! The owner, Graham, is a cool guy, too! For their website, check out www.osterialabuca.com.

I have not been there yet, but I know from past experiences that Ivan Kane always has classy and different stuff. CAFE WA S looks really cool. The other night while out dining at the French Market I overheard a guy telling the waiter about his experience at CAFE WA S, and it really sounds like fun!!! This French Bistro and piano lounge offers an intimate bistro experience as well as private dining for special events through our exclusive restaurant reservation service. Dakota is headed by chef Tim Goodell, and is a modern interpretation of the classic steakhouse. It is located inside the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, and it is a really nice restaurant. They serve American food and steaks.

The Abbey is the premier gay and lesbian bar, lounge and restaurant in West Hollywood, CA (their site says). It is really an upscale, trendy place, although you can expect to spend a lot of money when you go there. It's really all about the atmosphere, which is really nice. Because it is gay and ultra trendy, you can expect to see some attractive servers and patrons as well. Celebrities go there too- Paris Hilton was there 2 nights ago, according to an undisclosed Abbey employee. If you are from out of town and you are cool with gay people, this is definitely a nice place to visit. It's got a gothic atmosphere- vampires would probably pick this bar. It reminds me of "Interview with the Vampire". The Abbey sells more alcohol than any other bar in Los Angeles County (according to a magazine that I read recently). The Abbey is also a great place to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a big assortment of fresh desserts, too- cookies, cakes, pies, coffee, and more! If you are visiting Hollywood and you are looking for something fun and interesting to do, why not go see the ABC hit television show, Jimmy Kimmel Live? It tapes right here in Hollywood, at the El Capitan Theater (next door to the theater main entrance). Sometimes if there are extra seats, they will look for people outside the theater- people just walking around looking for something to do- and offer them tickets. To be sure to get a ticket, though, you should order your tickets in advance. To get tickets, you can call 1-866-JIMMYTIX, or you can go to 1iota.com. If they ask, tell them that Hollywood Eats sent ya!

Pink's is the premier place in Hollywood- and probably in the United States- for hot dogs. It's world-famous, and when ANYONE visits L.A., one place they want always want to go is Pink's. Pinks ALWAYS has a line- often, quite a long line, proving that it is recession-proof. Today I drove past Pink's and it smelled so good, I almost stopped and got in line- the line wasn't insane like it can sometimes be.

I don't really have a favorite hot dog at Pink's- all of the ones that I've had have been great, though. The Guadalajara Dog really stood out for me! I need to eat there more. For their menu, check out pinkshollywood.com.

Beso is a very-hot, new and much-anticipated restaurant, which opened fairly recently and is part-owned and heavily influenced by Eva Longoria Parker, the breathtakingly beautiful and sassy star of "Desperate Housewives". It features a heavy Tex-Mex influence, which Parker has said was seriously lacking in Los Angeles before the arrival of Beso. This is definitely a cool spot to treat yourself to when visiting Hollywood.

As of now, there is no website for Beso.

This interesting restaurant serves up an interesting mix: chicken and waffles. And it works. You might have heard of it, but if you haven't, you should try it with some friends. I've been there a few times, and I once waited in line to get in...I don't know if it's still THAT crowded, but it is an experience. If you are visiting from out of town, this is a place that you can tell Jimmy Kimmel that you went to if you ever are a guest on his show. He will be impressed.

Table 8 was featured on Oprah when I was watching just now, and I don't recall ever seeing it, although I must have driven past it many times, so I decided to put it on here and get over there one day when I get some money. Gayle King (Oprah's friend) went to the restaurant on Oprah's show, and had this sandwich which is supposed to be very delicious. There is another Table 8 in South Beach in Miami, also.

It's one block outside of Hollywood's zip code, but so what, the food is so good, you've gotta go there anyway. Poquito Mas has way better, fresher-tasing food than other "Fresh Mexican" places, in my opinion. My favorite dishes are the Maschiladas with chicken, and their Chicken Nachos are heavenly. I really like their steak burritos, too. The Nature's Grill burrito is really good, for you vegetarians. They make their tortillas in their restaurant. Their phone number is (818)760-8226. I always eat at Kinaree Thai Bistro on La Brea near Fountain in Hollywood. I always order their Yellow Curry with Chicken, and steamed rice. It's SO GOOD!!! I also like the Pad Thai.

Kinaree is a nice place, with good atmosphere and nice, pretty waitresses. You can get your order to-go, or you can dine in. They have a counter (like at a diner) where single people can eat their meals. If you like beer, they have several that they serve. They have 2 large flat-screen televisions for viewers who sit at the bar. Their dining room is also nice and quaint. The lunch specials at Kinaree are a real value.

Other menu items that I love are the Thai Barbeque Chicken, the Barbque Chicken, and the Hawaiian Fried Rice. If you haven't been to Kinaree, check it out! The website is www.kinareethai.com. For toursits, you might be interested to know that Shia Le Boeuf was involved in his bad accident right near this restaurant ( the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Fountain Ave.)

I have never eaten at this restaurant, but my sister, Julie, swears by it. She loves it there. This is a Mexican restaurant, which has mixed reviews. Most people like the atmosphere, the chips, the salsa, and the Flaming Margaritas. Some people really like the food, and say that it is really affordable.

I didn't see a website for El Compadre.
