A reporter in Las Vegas was trying to do a live report on Michael Jackson when a drunk guy wouldn’t stop trying to get into the shot, so the reporter gave him a slap. The news anchors were stunned, and the one on the right was speechless.

Debbie Rowe to Seek Custody of Jackson Kids

A fierce custody battle is brewing over two of Michael Jackson’s children, with Debbie Rowe saying Thursday that she plans to fight for them in court, and the Jackson family signaling they will fight right back.

Debbie Rowe, the mother of Prince (12) and Paris (11), spoke to her former attorney Iris Finsilver, who says, "She is going to be pursuing custody of the children."

"Frankly, she won’t have to fight for them," Finsilver says. "She is the children’s biological mother. She loves her children."

The kids, along with a third child, Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7, whose mother is unknown, are in the temporary court-ordered care of Jackson family matriarch Katherine Jackson, 79, whom the singer named as guardian in his 2002 will. Diana Ross was also named to care for the children, in the event that Katherine was no longer living.

A source close to the Jackson family says they intend to seek permanent custody. "They will fight," says the source.

Rowe earlier made her position clear July 2 in an interview with a Los Angeles television station, saying, "I want my children."

"I am stepping up," she told a reporter for Los Angeles station NBC 4 in a 90-minute phone conversation. "I have to."

Rowe also said she’d be willing to take custody of Blanket to keep the three children together, and she may seek a restraining order to keep her former father-in-law, Joe Jackson, away from her children.

This is going to get messy.

On June 23 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, just two days before Michael Jackson died, this video was shot of him rehearsing with his dancers while singing They Don’t Care About Us.

After all the years Michael took off from performing he still looked amazing. Any of the 50 shows Michael was scheduled to perform would have been incredible.

Sarah Palin Resigns as Governor of Alaska

Sarah Palin just announced today she is resigning as the Governor of Alaska. Palin said she will step down from office in only a few weeks, and will not run for reelection next year.

Most close to Palin were shocked to hear of her resignation. Many are now wondering if Palin could even run for President when she quit as Governor. Others say Palin has paid out a lot of money to successfully defend herself in frivalous lawsuits by liberal democrats.

Lt. Gov Sean Parnell will take over as Governor of Alaska.

Palin recently did an interview with Runner’s World magazine, in which she claims she is a runner. We agree. We think Sarah is running away from her problems as Governor, and running from the pressure she and her family have suffered from since Sarah accepted the Republican vice president nominee spot.

Enjoy private life Sarah. We think Sarah’s career in politics is over. This is a very disappointing end.

Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett got married on June 27, and Us Weekly paid the couple $120,000 for the pictures. Us Weekly was grumbling a bit not long after they signed the contract with the couple, because Michael Jackson’s death became a much bigger news event.

In any event, congratulations to the happy couple, and their soon to be born baby!

Grace Rwaramba Sets the Record Straight on Michael Jackson

Grace Rwaramba was quoted in recent reports that suggested she helped coverup Michael Jackson’s alleged drug addiction. Grace released the following statement to set the record straight:

“Michael Jackson was an exceptional Human Being. He was gifted, deeply compassionate and brought joy to the lives of so many. He loved his family dearly, and above all, his beautiful children.

In addition to being my employer over the past 17 years and entrusting the care of his beloved children to me, he was my dear friend. While our friendship had challenges, as do all friendships, he was loyal to the end. I cherish and honor his memory.

I am shocked, hurt and deeply saddened by recent statements the press has attributed to me, in particular, the outrageous and patently false claim that I “routinely pumped his stomach after he had ingested a dangerous combination of drugs". I don’t even know how to pump a stomach!! In addition, I have never spoken to the Times Online, the original source of the story that has now been picked up worldwide. The statements attributed to me confirm the worst in human tendencies to sensationalize tragedy and smear reputations for profit.

I convey my heartfelt and deepest condolences to Prince, Paris, Blanket and the entire Jackson family. The pain and sorrow I feel over the loss of Michael pales in comparison to what has been taken from them forever.”

We believe Grace. Pumping a person’s stomach involves lavage, and then the administration of activated charcoal to absorb any drugs or toxins left in the stomach. Suction equipment, and other medical equipment, would be needed to perform the procedure, which is unlikely to have been readily available in Michael’s home. If Michael didn’t look good he would have been rushed to the hospital, not treated for an overdoes at home, which is what "stomach pumping" is used to treat.

Propofol Found in Michael Jackson Home

The powerful sedative Propofol, also known as Diprivan, was among several narcotics found in Michael Jackson’s rented suburban Los Angeles mansion, a law enforcement source said.

Given intravenously, Propofol is used as part of inducing general anesthesia in the operating room, and for heavy sedation of patients who are intubated in the intensive care unit (ICU).

When I was in medicine we gave Propofol to patients in the ICU, but only under strict conditions. Propofol comes in small bottles, and doesn’t take much to induce anesthesia. In an ICU setting it was only used for patients on a ventillator, where a machine breathes for the patient. Propofol helped keep patients on a ventillator relaxed and asleep much of the time, so their body could heal and recover. We referred to propofol as "milk of amnesia," because the person forgets what happened while they were on the drug. For patients that needed a short term relaxation and amnesia treatment, we used Versed, also known as Midazolam. Versed was more versatile than Propofol depending on the medications the patient was on, and the situation it was needed for. Versed can also be used for conscious sedation for patients who are not on a ventilator, but are getting procudures done like a colonoscopy, a procedure that is best not remembered. Propofol is so dangerous it could not possibly have been allowed to be used outside a hospital, especially in a home. If Propofol was given to Michael at home, whoever the person is that gave it to Michael will surely face criminal charges.

Cherilyn Lee, a nurse who worked for Jackson, claims the pop star begged her for the drug, and that just four days before his death, a member of Jackson’s staff called and said "’Michael needs to see you right away." She says she heard Michael in the background saying, "One side of my body is hot, it’s hot, and one side of my body is cold. It’s very cold."

Lee’s description of Jackson’s condition mirrors a 2007 FDA alert to healthcare professionals detailing "several clusters of patients who have experienced chills, fever, and body aches shortly after receiving propofol for sedation or general anesthesia."

Lee insisted she did not provide Jackson with the drug. "He wasn’t looking to get high or feel good and sedated from drugs," she said. "This was a person who was not on drugs. This was a person who was seeking help, desperately, to get some sleep, to get some rest."

Authorities are investigating allegations that the 50-year-old Jackson had been consuming painkillers, sedatives and antidepressants. The federal Drug Enforcement Administration and California Attorney General Jerry Brown both are helping Los Angeles police investigate the possible involvement of prescription drugs in Jackson’s death.

Some of the prescriptions also were dispensed under various patient names and doctors, leading investigators to believe aliases were used to obtain the drugs.

Dr. Howard Nearman, department chairman of anesthesia at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Ohio, said about Propofol:

"Using this drug for insomnia is sort of like using a shotgun to kill an ant," Nearman said. "How someone could get a hold of this medication, and use it for the purpose that he allegedly used it for, is just incredible.”

If Jackson had this drug in his home, it would be against FDA guidelines. And if it was used in conjunction with any other painkiller or sedative, the combination could have ultimately led to his cardiac arrest and death.

“It should not be used out of an ICU or an operating room setting,” Nearman said. “Here at University Hospitals Case Medical Center… Diprivan can only be used by anesthesiologists or intensivists, and these people, who by virtues of training and experience, can handle this drug and manage any adverse side effect should they arise.”

It doesn’t take a large dose of Diprivan to cause respiratory depression, which basically means a person will stop breathing, Nearman said, calling it a "slippery slope."

“Once the breathing is slowed down or the blood pressure drops, eventually the heart won’t be able to sustain itself.”

Two autopsies, one of them a private exam requested by his family, have been performed in Jackson. An official cause of death is not expected to be announced for several weeks, which is when the toxicology tests will reveal exactly what was in Michael’s blood and tissues at the time of his death.
