Here are the review of Horror Movie "11-11-11"

11:11 seems to be a real phenomenon, but this movie has no correlation to those beliefs or possibilities. In that sense, it was poorly researched. I Think the idea is good, but here it was almost thrown together and poorly thought-out. The movie seems jumpy and quite random, the characters have no depth,and scenes lack flow. With bad make-up/costume design, low budget special effects, and sometimes pointless dialogue, I was almost distracted from the story. There was enough monotone content, with a few attempts to startle the audience, to keep me until the fairly predictable end. I really wouldn't recommend this to anybody... maybe a study on "How we could have made this movie better" for film students.

"Courageous" is largely about four deputies in a large sheriff's department in a mixed suburban and metropolitan area. It details some of the dangers, temptations and excitement inherent in their job. However, even more so it shows us how they interact with each other and their families, especially how they deal with tragedy and learn from it.

The film does have some action scenes involving gang violence, arrests and shootouts. As such it is appropriately rated at PG-13 and I would not have brought my 7 year old daughter to it, but think it would be okay for most teenagers. The action scenes are not the bulk of the movie and happen early on to introduce the characters and then more toward the end, by which time I was at the edge of my seat to see who would live or die.

However, as I alluded to before, the action scenes are not the bulk of the movie and take a back seat often to the character interactions. The acting is generally good and the characters believable, with some only slightly over the top humor at times. The humor actually is used nicely to lighten things up a bit as some of the characters are forced to deal with a tragedy in their family.

The storyline is relatively linear, but not totally predictable as the actions of some characters came as quite a surprise to me. As part of this the story was made more believable by some revelations mid-way through the movie about some of the characters that showed their less than perfect lives and values.

I often do not see movies like this, since I am a somewhat typical man who prefers big blockbuster SF or other action oriented films. However, I went to see this movie at my local multiplex yesterday on a date with my wife and found myself really enjoying the movie. The people attending were a mix of adults and teenagers, with about an equal mix of men and women. I met a couple of people I knew there and they seemed to have enjoyed the film.

By the end of the movie I had cheered on the heroes, laughed at the humor, enjoyed the action scenes and even gotten somewhat teary eyed at parts (during which my wife did some solid crying). Overall I would say that this film was well done, with an engaging story, characters you could believe in and with a storyline that really makes you think hard even when it is over. I had fun with the movie, but also find it challenging as perhaps you will also if you choose to see it.

All I can say is, what a waste of good talent. The pacing is brutally slow.

The actors are good, but the script is... uh lackluster, to be charitable. Juliette Binoche is horribly miscast, however, and the lighting make her and Katie Holmes look ghoulish.

Ray Liotta looks swollen, pockmarked and perpetually astonished.

The best acting is delivered by two eleven year olds, which doesn't say much for the rest of the cast. More entertaining than watching paint dry, albeit marginally.

Here are Red State 2011 full review :
A friend of mine maps must include a screening of "Red State" by a Q & A session with Kevin Smith and the cast, Melissa Leo, John Goodman to follow, and catch more. The show was at Radio City Music Hall wonderful that strange feeling where the elegance of the room during the struggle against griminess of the film. The movie was wonderful.

In the words of Smith, "a bad-ass movie horror with a few little (if any) sympathetic characters." Three young men standing in front of a sectarian church (modeled after the Church as famous Westboro Baptist), they discover is more to protest the funeral only. That's all you need to know. This is simply the best work of Smith to this day. From the perspective of the visual / director, the camera is used so effectively to capture the tone of concern. It makes extensive use of the fragile-cam, but the more creative I've seen lately. The shock is much more subtle than say, "The Bourne Identity", which simply adds the perfect amount of tension in the dialogue heavy scenes and just the right amount during the most violent. Both are required in large quantities. The picture quality was very good (Red shot cameras). The sound is also a strength of praise. The charm of the movie is the tone that permeates the majority disturbing. There is no actual score here. Every song you hear is the film itself, especially from Michael Parks, the man plays the villainous preacher sung. And speaking of him, I must say that his performance was Oscar worthy. Absolutely appalling. Could be the writing itself, where are my few criticisms. The film has many twists, a little too much for my taste. These "surprises" to impress many people, but for me they come out so cheap and make the film feel really at odds at times. Also during the first half of the film is a really scary horror movie feel, in the second half more like an action / thriller. All this was very good, but only until the film approaches its conclusion, it is really an awful feeling again. But the writing is also very impressive. When I think about it, nothing feels unnecessary in the film, it flows and connects all great. The opening few scenes make up the rest of the movie awesome. And of course there is some humor in it, much of the praise of John Goodman F-ING. The cast was fantastic, but above all parks, Melissa Leo and John Goodman as detach Shining Stars. The Q & A was fun, especially because I could see these great people in person, but I've never managed to ask my question, and some of the questions were so bad, they all boo the rest of the audience. Overall, if Red coups in theaters in October, you really need to see it. It has everything to satisfy a wonderful piece of indie film, and horror fans and casual moviegoers. My rating, 8 / 10 I fully intend to see this again when it is actually released. Postscript best opening sequence of more credit!

Souder, a homicide detective in a small Texas town, and his partner to New York City cop Detective transplanted Heigh, take a sadistic serial killer dumping mutilated bodies of his victims in a swamp residents call "The Killing Fields." Almodovar is, for me, a director of talent that makes entering and spleen. "Talk to Her", I believe, is his best film so far, there are a few contenders for the worst. But "The Skin I Live In" is certainly not one of them.

This is an art-house horror-thriller, based on the novel by Thierry Jonquet "Tarantula" (unread by me) adapted. The obvious source of inspiration was the French film "Eyes Without a Face," another horror film with a mad doctor and synthetic skin. But "The Skin I Live In" is much more than that. I'll no details of the plot anyway to think, but maybe about the exact title.

When I say it is a horror-film art-house - it is certainly Almodovar own brand of "art". He fills his screen with a deep, rich, bright colors - red, blue, yellow, brown, orange - and the disturbing, shade of cream roses, which belongs to the synthetic skin of the title. It is a feast for the eyes.

The plot is ridiculous and a bit rubbish, but it hangs together tightly, and Almodovar, in addition to the conventions and cliches of the horror and set something entirely original. Antonio Banderas in mind that the surgeon impressed avenger, and the film becomes more and more twisted than the real reasons for the Banderas experience and full extension is clear, is very entertaining. The people left the theater as the credits began to roll, laugh - not in mockery, but in shock.

I wonder if this will have an American remake. I see it happening, but I hope it does not work. Almodovar has missed his own unique brand on the subject, including the language, in successive rounds of humor plays, disrupts brutality, mental torture and bizarre moments of bitterness. I think the best compliment that can be given to the film, in this sense, is that it works.

This is not a masterpiece. It is very well acted, very well done with an interesting aesthetic and pleasant, with sharp spikes of anxiety and a really surprising twist. It's fun guilty Almodovar. I'm looking forward to his next film

Lets read The Big Year as new Black Jack Movie review :

We saw a screening of this film earlier this week and I must say, it was funnier than we thought it would be. For those of you that the film "Strange Wilderness" (where Steve Zahn and his crew go hunting, while in the competition for the first Big Foot movie) did you love this film. With Jack Black, Owen Wilson and Steve Martin. All three (as "birders" going to find the most bird species have been found. However, if it is for one year, it's a real bird watching competitions like "The known big year", and of course everyone denies that it was "a major year ".

To sum up very quickly, it's about Jack Black teams with Steve Martin (who play both players) to beat the high score and current / Champion 737 birds, Owen Wilson, who is the antagonist in this film. It's lying cheating, others more slowly, so be it, the first and take no advantage, he can see the first person to photograph a bird or to be. The person who sees the most birds in the course of the year wins a big title "The Best Bird Watcher in the world."

Wilson did a great job with the antagonist, and he had the whole theater was cracking and laughter from beginning to end. It has a two-word F and S words, except the fact of it, sex or violence and is recommended for the whole family. I am 100% sure that it will be rated PG-13.

Everything is great and with big "thing". Frame until the last, there are enough thrills, spills and cold that we normally associate with John Carprender. Maybe it is double here. Away from the Mozart of Madras applause AR Rahman. All of his theme music is catchy, foot tapping and trendy ... All evoke a thunderous applause. Rahman to orchestrate control of mixing, harmony and rhythm to pep to add the movie at hand. The Legend of Vairamuthu, his son and novices Kargı Pa Vijay deserves applause.

Come to the captain - van Heijningen Jr. Jr.. The man, the many achievements that have made the size of the Dutch film lived up to his reputation. His dream project that eventually the screens no less fun, exuberance and enthusiasm. Known for the treatment of the themes of mass very easily here, he combines these elements with science. An issue has never heard before in American cinema, is what no one else but music. Van Heijningen Jr. is a jewel in the crown adds more.

The Help Movie - After two weeks topping the North American box office Movie , 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' must eventually come down one rank. Drama, starring actress Emma Stone, 'The Help' managed to shift with revenues of U.S. $ 20.5 million. Wow!

Hollywood Movies Review - The film adaptation of bestselling novel work of Kathryn Stockett it earned U.S. $ 71.8 million from ticket sales for 12 days of screenings. While the 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' total earned revenues of U.S. $ 133.8 million.

In that Movie, Johnny Depp will play as Tonto with Armmie Hammer as The Lone Ranger. The actor who was play on Pirates of Carribean 1 to 3 was set to direct from a script by Justin Hayte with film which will starting in October 2011.

Some source also said if Disney want to decrease the budget from $250 million to $200 million, wow! But until now It just decreased from $250 million to $232 million. That is hard decision to make on a part of Disney, remember Depp and Varbinski spend money to bring Pirates movie.

But, if Disney want to get back Johnny Depp with his 5th Pirates Movie, which by all accounts they do, putting a hold on a project he was excited to be involved with is a real risky move. Hopefully the budget can be scaled back and Depp, Hammer and Verbinski can get to work on this new take on the classic Western tale. It's unlikely that if the delay lasts more than a month or two, they'll still be able to meet the December 21, 2012 release date they've been aiming for. G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation - also known as G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes and just G.I. Joe 2 - may have found its G.I. Joe and may have moved the film from being the sequel we're not sure we really want to see to one that actually has some promise. The Hollywood Reporter says the part's been offered to Bruce Willis, an actor very familiar with action franchises.

If Willis' deal goes through, he'll be playing General Joe Colton - the original G.I. Joe who was introduced by Hasbro in the 1980s.

G.I. Joe 2 will be directed by Step Up 3D helmer Jon M Chu with Channing Tatum, Ray Park and Byung-hun Lee reprising their roles from the 2009 action movie. Joining the G.I. Joe action are Ray Stevenson, Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Joseph Mazzello, DJ Cotrona and RZA.

Paramount has set a June 29, 2012 release for the film which should start production later this month.

You can’t claim that you didn’t see this coming after the surprising success that was Piranha 3D. I’m talking about Shark Night 3D. The first trailer has surfaced and it smells of fantastic grade-B, party-gone-wrong cheese (it’s what made the 80s so memorable).
